What I'd like to clear is that there is no man with either WHITE or BLACK skin, neither has there even been any such. If they choose to call themselves white, that's their business. But I am AFRICAN. Let no man call me Black. |
Our favorite topic is back again! Abeg, I can't do it anymore. Just 2 weeks on Nairaland and I don slim down. Please, whether Bush is good or Bush is bad, thank God he's not president of Nigeria. What worries me though is this new friendship America is extending to Nigeria. A lot of people haven't noticed yet, but US has removed Nigerias name from the list of countries with Piracy issues (ie piracy has significantly reduced), US does not include Nigeria and India on its human trafficking list. But this is not the crazy part yet. CNN resumes reporting Nigerian weather they even report fair weather at the Lagos Airport! Then go to the CIA page on Nigeria, it's been updated; they have a very subtle views of Nigeria right now. Where is all this love coming from? Or should I say WHY?! |
Na wah una O! Why are you people praying for no one to apply for ANGELS 2. Do you think these hollow heads applied. They were dumped in that village by one defunct so-called modelling agency. Abeg, I pray people apply this time around so that another set of these peoples dull nieces and househelps will not be inflicted on us. @bestest so you know say that TellyTubbies and Barney dey dull children too? I thought it was only me. |

@babyosisi better still, a muslim land with "untapped oil", claiming to have nuclear weapons. In fact, that in itself is a suicide note by the UHE. |

Abeg jare make mr MAGAgucci go back to Brazil. E no know say na im lawyer just collect final payment from am. Anyway, still on still, I think the Best Height for Nigeria should also be discussed. In line with our less busy schedule and adamance at discussing irrelevant issues, what height should the people that rule Nigeria have. Should they be very tall like NBA players? Short like eskimos? Or just somewhere average. I think average height is okay. The word average sounds like moderate. Which is good. By the way, after thoroughly discussing this very pressing national issue, we will move on to the Best Shoe Size for Nigeria. |
I just saw your post about how the genesis of the war. Quite pretty. You do not believe that this war was about incursions of Israel into the Shebaa Farms. Well, like I mentioned earlier, let them nuke each other out. Nigeria has nothing to lose but everything to gain. High visa fees from their citizens, oil price at $200/barrel. Afterall, are they the first to have international land dispute. Why Nigeria and Cameroun never kill each other finish. Abeg I have things to do. I have a song to write jare. |
@angel101 you mean you'd rather suffer EXTREMELY short term and then continue in limbo and hardship? With nothing achieved? Well, me I rather see gradual improvements aimed at long term benefits than put the ordinary man in extreme hardships and death for a power show that yields no result. |
@angel101 correction. The fact that a crime cannot be concretely tied to you means you did not commit it. Simple. I just wanted to make sure you knew that. I may come in handy sometime. If it cannot be concretely tied to you, you did not do it! |
@laudate since I saw they were not discussing the characteristics of the best kinda leader but the tribe, me self just brought in a different angle on it. Complexion. But now I think what we should even be discussing further is beauty. What is the best look for Nigerian leadership? Fine or Ugly? Since people want to be discussing childish issues, well, let's delve deeper. |
Na wah O! Somebody is trying to make the Lebanon strike look like self defence. This is the same selective ignorance that we say is inherent in some peoples philosophies. The Lebanon war was tactically planned right from the time the US appealed to Syria to leave Lebanon, under the pretext that the Lebanese could take care of themselves. There are people that observe international events, and there are people that just wake up in the morning and watch CNN. |
@spaceworld did you really say that GSM is a failed project? Only for the rich? Well, if you can admit that the 21 million GSM users are all rich, then it means the Obasanjo regime has done more than any president in the history of the world. To make 21million rich people from almost nothing. |

It is imperative that you all know what happened, how it happened, and finally that all funds have been found intact. www.nigerianmuse.com/important_documents/?u=PTDF_Senate_AdHoc_Committee_Report.htm |
And he kissed my baby. |
@angel101 So the NLC should mete out more punishment on the common man who already cannot afford to stay afloat? Hmmm. How even more ingenious. There is a simple analogy that People still do not understand in Nigeria. 1= Petroleum producers, marketers, bank workers go on strike. 2= Prices of petroleum products sky rocket and the people have no access to money to buy them. 3= Oh, there's a pipeline flowing with petroleum products in our backyard, 4=pipeline vandalisation 5= pipeline explosion and several barbecued "common men". 6= pipeline explosion totally cuts off supply of petroleum products 7= far more suffering than even NLC anticipated. 8= The suffering starts knocking on the doors of NLC members, the strike is called off. 9= We start trying to regain the position we were at before the strike. 10= Nothing is achieved. That is the 10 point agenda of an NLC strike that they don't care to know or let the people know. |
So there are like 2 million citizens of Niger begging on the streets of Nigeria, yet they feed our poor? From what I gather from this Koinangish story, it seems to be that Nigerienne beggars in the North heard that they could now get free food in their own country, they decided to go back. Come to think of it, this could be the strategy the Nigerian government should even employ in ridding us of those beggars. The Nigerian government should start serving free food in Niger so that all those millions of beggars will go back to their country to eat. And why does this Niger keep coming back to collect millions of dollars of aid from Nigeria just to cook food for us? Them be our wife? Next thing Ghana sef go beg us for $1 billion and then import free Kenke to Nigeria. Anyway I no run. In fact I admit. I was one of those that went to eat in Niger. I heard their cuisine is super; a chip of their colonial master. |
@auwal Em, sorry O, but I thought you said there was oil? Now no oil? kai! The fear of America is truly the end of oil. |
So now, it is seeming like we have been feeding fat on lies and fabrications all this while. It should have been clear that the man was being set up when the papers claimed that Obaniyi was Ehinderos aide. Which bloody aide. Abi is Nnamani Obasanjo's aide. Worst part is that these journalists do not realise that lying is a crime. Stirring up the public is a crime especially when based on false or misleading information. |
@angel101 at the cost of letting peace and civilian governance reign. |
@debosky you are in fact confirming what I just said that this strike is going to do nothing but punish the poor people whom the NLC claim to be helping. The hairdressers, mechanics, cybercafe operators, market women. And let's not forget that if the NLC cripples the country, the MILITARY will come in so stabilize things for the next 16 years. |
Na wah O! Shebi them break PDP chairman house and nobody complain. Nobody ask if dem serve am notice. This is what happens when you see injustice meted on your enemies but refuse to defend them. If AIT had been exposing the woes suffered by people whose houses are demolished over the years, maybe there would have been some protection by law against this kind of destruction. Well, now other people too can look away. They set the precedence so abeg make them let person hear word! |
I see the most ignorant of men become teachers. How can anybody who claims to have read the Treaty, no matter how daft, claim that the 5 NWS are allowed to retain their arms? NPT said disarm, somebody here is saying retain and exercise an obligation to negotiate a reduction. And you're claiming that someone else is unaware of the document. DID IT SAY NEGOTIATE A REDUCTION? Or NEGOTIATE DISARMAMENT? I saw one clown somewhere along the thread that made himself a Rabbi in the study of the NPT. Confused fella. Well, I am forced to go back to the Somalian and Vietnamese issue. You mean to tell me "Operation Gothic Serpent" in 1993 was a peacekeeping mission? An assault force sent in to capture or kill Farrah Aidid who was only previously a friend of the US and a freedom fighter for the liberation of Somalia and for the installation of true democracy? Quite interesting. Anyway, in order not to stray too far from the discuss at hand, I want to know exactly if Ahmedinejad call you up to say he want to build nuclear bombs? Did you and Mahmoud discuss it over a cup of coffee? The man says he wants to build a nuclear power plant. Under the NPT, Iran is not only encouraged to develope nuclear power plants, but the 5 Nuclear Weapon States are directed in the NPT to provide him with the materials and help he needs. Why do you think Non-Nuclear Weapons States (NNWS)sign the NPT? You think that it is just to show loyalty? The benefit in the Treaty for them is that the NWS are to provide them with Nuclear Power Plants and other civilian-use nuclear benefits including medicine and supply of Einsteinium and Fermium for research. Now shebi you're a Nigerian? How many Nuclear Plants have Russia or US or France built in Nigeria, in keeping with the NPT, how many X-ray machines have they brought in. But no you wouldn't see that as violation of the NPT. The deal is: "we forfeit nuclear weapons and our security but gain free Nuclear Power Plants, they forfeit assets in terms of providing free Nuclear Power Plants but gain world domination by holding on to their Nuclear Weapons for an unspecified period" that should be somewhere in article IV. And then again I have the question of abandoning the NPT. North Korea did not break it. You can withdraw and become just like India, Pakistan or Israel, simply by giving a three months notice. That's all. So the way you people take this NPT thing as if it is a life binding document, it's amazing. Iran however, REFUSED to withdraw from the NPT because it is not making Nuclear weapons. It is when you want to make your own Nuclear Weapon that you resign from the Club. In fact, there are interviews where he says he DOES NOT WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH NUCLEAR WEAPONS. www.globalsecurity.org/wmd/library/news/iran/2006/iran-060921-voa01.htm if however you have a link, where Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said he wants nuclear weapons, please post it lemme see. This then brings me to the issue of how many countries have used Nuclear weapons on humans, well, besides Hiroshima & Nagasaki, why don't you try to find out about the use of DEPLETED URANIUM in the Gulf War. Anyhow, I guess those are still cases of war. So you may want to check out people that never fought a war but got more than Nagasaki bargained for: www.rmiembassyus.org/Nuclear%20Issues.htm Then you may also want to know about Nuclear Weapons Sharing which makes nuclear weapons available to Belgium, Italy, Germany et al. I know you love googling, so just google that. @Afam, you get power O! You no know say wetin some of these Pharisees and Saduccees do today is Selective Ignorance? Which is more deadly than ignorance itself. I keep asking them why Israel can bomb Americans and there is still no one punished till today: www.ussliberty.org/jim/ussliberty In fact, as OBJ said, I'm not supposed to be here. I'm out. |
I say let them strike. Nigeria doesn't have such a sensitive economy that a strike will cause major damage. In fact Nigeria barely has an economy. These so called COMRADES do not even understand the use of strikes. Oya let them strike. If the strike exceeds two weeks, Yar'Adua go just withdraw $2billion from the foreign reserves and the only way the government will know there's a strike is through newspapers. The masses however, who Labour claims to be fighting for, will perish! |
@lakeside4love I hope by saying I sound like mamajama, it's a good thing. I'm just concerned that someone will be scolded for seeking information. If someone does not know something, I believe they should ask. Mamajama asked for the source of some information and somebody just outright attributed that to foolishness. |
I believe that right now, Nigeria is the most politically active country in the world. |
Personally, I think Obasanjo did very well. As for the problem of power, I will use the words of George Bush: It Is A Success That Is Yet To Happen. lol. |
@MILITIA well, I think there are some caucasoid-looking Northerners , there are the "yellow" girls in the eastern parts, the rest of us are basically chocolate, tan or ebony. I think chocolate sounds sweet let's zone the presidency to those sweet chocolate brothers and sisters. They'll do us proud. Abi no be so them take zone Hutus and Tutsis? |
Perhaps this Segun guy wants to get close to Yar'Adua so in order to convince him to quit and organise new elections. You never know. |
My issue is not about Jeff actually, but about a family of dafts who chose to place the blames of their personal failures, lavish mismanagement of funds and intellectual handicap at haggling on the narrowness of Kudirat Abiola Way (which they visualize as an ALLEYWAY) and Diplomatic trips. An entrepreneur that can see Kudirat Abiola Way, the former Oregun Road, as an alleyway will never be successful in any business. His perception is deformed. |
