You dey forget say we don get our own satellite and the internet does not have any specific server in each country where they can block it. Besides, there are software that can also triangulate data. Lastly, if boys fit dey go Benin to send cheques and receive couriers, then they can as well go to Benin to send format.

Correct jare! Where is Amnesty O! Ehen, they are the ones that should be carrying this matter on their head. If it was a Nigerian Policeman that tied a Nigerian citizen now, them go cry. If it was a Sharia court that put a human being inside a sack now, them go shed tears. Dear Amnesty International, where are you?

@angel101

I know they pay in these lines of situation, but what amazes me is the speed of the request. Shebi the guy just died yesterday. Have these people even demanded for the body for burial yet?

@angel101

I am not angry that people are harassing the Spanish government for killing a Nigerian, what just ticked me off was the rapidity of the request for a cash laden apology.
Politics › Re: Six Reasons Why The Niger Delta Remains Neglected By The Nigerian State by denex: 4:13pm On Jun 14, 2007
My dearest ono, as you know, my argument is never one sided. I always correct the party that is making a mistake.

Niger-Delta militants are vandalizing pipelines of petroleum products and few people are dying, though much resources are being lost. Do you know how many million lives will be lost if such a huge gas pipeline leaks into the south of Nigeria? Combine that with when the leakage will reach a naked flame. We're all dead!

All those misdirected investments in Nigeria are in the past.

Now that one of us has managed to reach a position where he can defau change, we say he's illegitimate. By the time he is sacked and replaced, we'll say it is marginalization.

Are you beginning to see the problem of the Niger-Delta now? Well, are you?!

I agree that the government is bad, everybody knows that the government is bad. But why are we now expecting something good to come out of this government on the death of Osamuyi?

Corrupt officials in Nigeria abi? I guess the law enforcement officials that killed Osamuyi are just performing their duties.

Inflationary rate in double digits? Who the hell do you think you're talking to? From N127 to what new figure? Do you even know the meaning of that statement? The first double digit figure is 10. An inflationary rate of 10% will mean the exchange rate is now N149.70 kobo.

I am not a tribalist but I don't know of any Hausa boys hanging around the Libyan coast. By the way don't assume I am ignorant of what I am saying. I be proper Edo boy and I spent good six years in Benin, our family house dey Siloku Road.

How can you be asking why he was so inhumanely treated on his way back? Did he treat himself humanely on his way there? You also forget that dogs are not tranquilized and adorned with mouth guards just because they are dogs. It is when the go out of control and attempt to bite.

The man died. The man new that this whole adventure came with the obvious risk of death and he did not fall short.

I respect the guy, I really do. It's not easy to do a Dakar Rally with no price money, but what I do not respect is people using his death as another investment opportunity to extract cash from the Spanish government.

As for the "fucking idiot" part, on comment.

I am equally appalled by the demands of this group. In all their THATs, they mentioned investigation twice and they mentioned apology twice, but what I knew they wouldn't fail to mention was financial endowment. Nobody should pay any ransom to any opportunist trying to feast on the demise of a relative.

It is also pertinent that one mentions the inhumane treatment that these Nigerians (especially my dearest Bini Boys) put themselves through just to get into Spain.

THAT they impoverish themselves by auctioning off their assets to begin these journeys.
THAT the place themselves in the desert, journeying for days whereby a percentage of them die.
THAT they put themselves in harm's way, usually being raided,robbed and killed during there journeys.
THAT they camp themselves in self made refugee camps where they suffer and starve for weeks.
THAT they put their lives on the line, swimming dangerous waters between Africa and Europe, most of them dying thereby. (albeit, breaking world records without entering the Guinness Book).
THAT they risk their lives and limbs tying themselves to cargo ships and boats. Most times succeeding in killing themselves or getting amputated.
THAT there are bodies littering the beaches of the Canary Islands and Spain daily due to this bewildering adventure.
THAT the Nigerian and Libyan governments have previously attempted to evacuate them.

Now, someone that has tried so hard to get himself killed, why is it so shocking THAT he is dead? Someone that used all his resources to endanger his own life. It is not as if they forced him to swim back to Africa, they didn't drag him back through the desert.

Have this his people whom he abandoned asked why of all the illegal immigrants being deported, only him was gagged and bagged?
Where were they when he was embarking on this journey?
Would they have complained if had died in the waters?

I'm not even going to conclude this because I think THAT they are just thinking on the edge of the box.

And people should stop calling on the government now. The government they claim is useless, the government they say is hopeless, the government that Osamuyi did not believe could do anything for him while he was alive, what could they possibly do for him now he's dead.
Politics › Re: Tha Man Abiola by denex: 1:49pm On Jun 14, 2007
I am not saying he did not win elections. What I am saying is that prior to winning elections, the man was a fraud, money launderer and the kingpin in the sabotage of the Nigerian Telecoms industry. Oh, am I forgetting a partner in crime of IBB and a sponsor of military coups (both failed and successful).

Am only reminding God not to over look his grievious sins just because he won elections. In fact winning elections has never been stated in any Holy book as a bargaining chip for atonement of sins. Neither has love of football.

Eiya, the guy even had diabetes sef. I suspected from the way he was looking a bit overweight, I knew it wasn't the prison food. (this is not meant to be funny).

However, I feel sorry for him when he goes back to see what a money spinning venture the MEND has turned his NDPVF into. Unless of course that was what he intended.

Well, that's one victory in the eight for human liberties. I wish the US could learn from this example.

Our guy Auwal is just a bit confused so let's be easy on him.
Politics › Re: Do You Think Mujahid Dokubo-asari Should Be Release? by denex: 7:41am On Jun 14, 2007
By the way, let's not keep believing blindly that if this guy is released, MEND hostilities will cease. Remember, they also want Alams to be released too. And after that, they may want Yar'Adua to kneel down and kiss Dokubo's bare butt. So I don't believe anything will change based on the release of these terrorist. But anyhow, I just don't support imprisonment without trial.

By the way, I didn't say The case against Dokubo should be built around the threat to life on a judge.
Somebody ask if I'd been personally terrorised and I gave the example of a terrorised judge even captured on tape.
I also said those types of video images can be used as evidence to place a light charge on Dokubo which will send him to jail legally for the mean time before the real case is built.

@debosky

Nigeria produces more than 2.0 million barrels per day of crude oil we are currently authorised by OPEC to produce about 2.5 million barrels but bunkering takes between 100,000 and 500,000 barrels. Now, since MEND is not the only bunkerer, but a major contributor, it is estimated that about 10% goes to them.

I usually don't post links. I'd rather you search on google by yourself. But since you asked so nicely,

@Romeo

Why you dey fear? Is it because you're slowly beginning to realise that your time in Spain is up. We are the ones going to the Spanish embassy on Kofo Abayomi everyday, telling them that we love you people and we want you back.

We have been sending memos to the Spanish authorities that you people were trafficked to Spain without your consent so they should track you down an free you from your captors. They undertand the reason why you guys resist arrest. It is due to the network of traffickers that threaten you not to return. But don't worry Romeo, we will protect you. We will teach you a handwork and give you all necessary support. Don't be afraid! We care for you.

He terrorised a judge and his family but like I said, despite this being captured on video, the legal representatives of the government has still not been able to gather enough evidence against him so they should let him walk.

Politics › Re: Do You Think Mujahid Dokubo-asari Should Be Release? by denex: 10:29pm On Jun 13, 2007
The man Dokubo is a confirmed terrorist. The fact however remains that the Nigerian government has not gotten enough evidence to put him in away for any crime.

It is either they charge him with possession of an unlicensed firearm and give him a light sentence pending when they gather enough evidence to bring up charges of treason, terrorism and economic sabotage, or else they free him.

Is it his fault that the government lawyers are too dull to build up a case against him despite evidence littering every cranny? Abeg they should let the man go. Perhaps when he regains his freedom, he may choose to do something very stupid that could be used against him.

And for christ sake, people should stop assuming that MOPO cannot round up the NDPVF or MEND in one week.

You guys said this same thing about Mai Tatsine, same thing y'all said about OPC, then Bakassi, now it's MEND. Okay make we dey look dey go. By the time all those bored soldiers formerly posted to Liberia start agitating for a piece of the action, na then MEND go know why they say KHAKI pass leather!
Politics › Re: Six Reasons Why The Niger Delta Remains Neglected By The Nigerian State by denex: 9:01pm On Jun 13, 2007
And there is no way the militant will test the genuineness of the government. In fact they don't want the problem to be solved. You want them to cut off their own supply of income? Do not forget that apart from kidnap ransoms, MEND gets about $3 million daily from bunkering 55,000 barrels of oil.

Na wah for una O! In the words of Pete Edochie, "He that bites the finger that feeds him, em, em. Well, na him sabi!

http//news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/4959210.stm

by the way I didn't say it was France. But the question is, why MEND just commot eye from Haliburton, and where do they get all those weapons?

Ehen, thank you for mentioning sef. All those Niger-Delta people keep crying that there is no development, meanwhile they create an environment too hostile for development contractors to work. If Julius Berger should come go to Abuja and they feel safe constructing a five worldclass stadia, is it the fault of the Abuja indigenes? Abi ono, you forget that the people of Abuja were displaced from their lands to make way for the Federal Capital. Now they are living in mud houses with thatched roofs, yet they have not kidnapped a single whitey.

Everybody is marginalised. Even the Sultan of Sokoto says he's marginalised because there are no Arabic inscriptions on Naira notes.
