sacking siasia is not the solution. Afterall, he cant take d whole blame for d unfortunate result last weekend. I think the players take most of d blame for obvious lack of commitment to the super eagles. And it's inexplicable to blame siasia ova his rigid stance on discipline in the team as if he is the only coach who does that in world football. In fact, top world class coaches with significant achievements have done that in recent times e.g Roberto Maicini on Tevez, jose maurinho on mario balotelli etc. Siasia shul b given a second chance.

Effectiveness is a factor of *RESULT + *ATTRIBUTE

Is it possible to get a good coach with one and not the other,

A COACH WITH NO ATTRIBUTE - YES - He can be a good coach

A COACH WITH NO RESULT - NO - He can't be a good coach

Siasia should go because,

1. It will send the right signal across to all aspiring coaches,
   All Toms, Joysticks and Harry will think twice before aspiring to coach the Super Eagles.
   Super Eagle's coaching job should be bigger than any individual.
   I rank the Super Eagles coaching job equivalent to taking up a coaching job at Chelsea, Barcelona, etc
   There is a minimum requirement and expectation,
a. Failing to qualify for a minor tournament compared to the world cup is a BIG RED FLAG
   Why? If you can't qualify for the Nations cup where 14 slots are being fought for
             How will you fare with 5 slots (World Cup)

The way I see it, the Job at hand is too BIG for Siasia,
Relieve him of this burden and then we should give him the necessary time to reflect on his mistakes
and grow,
Then as we all know, sometime in the future he might be called back just like Amodu,

Former Nigeria coach Amosu Shuaibu has advised Samson Siasia to be tread with care in handling disciplinary issues with his players.

Amodu warned Siasia that the NFF, whose backing he seems to enjoy, will drop him like a leper the moment results stop going his way.

“I am absolutely in support of Siasia with his disciplinary measures, but he has to know when to apply the brakes,” Amodu said.

“The same NFF who are hailing him now will abandon him if he fails to qualify the nation for the African Nations Cup.

“The players are mature players and should be treated with respect to get the best out of them. It is becoming a fight too many for him and such things have a way of boomeranging.”

Amodu explained that he was misunderstood because of his way of handling the players.

“I respected the players because they are instrumental to the success of any coach. But many people misunderstood that to mean that I was not in charge.”

Siasia has had cause to lay down the law against the likes of Osaze odemwingie and Vincent Enyeama, with the active support of his NFF bosses, but Amodu warned that that assures nothing

“The same NFF who are backing him against these players would not think twice in deciding his fate. He should take it easy. I am an apostle of discipline, but he should watch his back,” Amodu advised.
