it is possible. I was once given an uncountable strokes just because I wouldnt stay still as the God knows what was his problem, wretched teacher flogged me while in JsS2 and I was 11 then. u see, this most likely happened.

my response with women being more is about interpreting an hadith with another hadith(may God forgive me if it isnt applicable in this case)..simple laws of the higher the no. the higher d possibility has always come to my mind inv relation to women being more in hell.

A cautious sensible man could be led astray by some of you." The women asked, "O Allah's Apostle! What is deficient in our intelligence and religion?" He said, "Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?" They replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her intelligence. Isn't it true that a woman can neither pray nor fast during her menses?" The women replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her religion."

the intelligence isnt to be taken literally as he explained what it means.

let me give u an example to butress the part of the menstrual period. it was reported that there were two men who were best friends and who used to do everything 2geda that everyone thoughtvthat if they died on the same day would have d same place in paradise. but one died before the other and d prophet made it known that the one who died would have a lesser place since his book of deeds was closed immediately he died. same happens to a woman who wouldnt get the reward for prayers at those periods when she doesnt pray.

about women being more in hell, women would outnumber men anyways. it explains that and truth be told, it is easier for women to fall into sins than for men to. dress sense, sharp tongues, gossip, show off, etc

Only in the home do women have to submit to their husbands. All humans whether male, female or hermaphrodite are equal before the Almighty.

bukatyne: The headship of a man in the Bible doesn't make him superior to His wife. A man is the head because he's the source of the family i.e. A man decides to marry and looks for a woman he loves and shares the same goals with.

He is to lead his family in love with examples so a man who wants a humble wife must be humble himself etc. I cor 13: 1 - 13 lists the characteristics of love and if he abides to them, he would esteem his wife above himself that's why she is to submit to him(esteem her husband above herself) so they would complete each other.

nope. it is down to conditioning. the environments they grow up in, the education they get, etc are determinants.

Not all men are superior to all women. I now understand what you mean. A man only heads his own home. I mean, men on nairaland cannot automatically claim superiority to us, the women here. I answered in relation to the home front.

the problem then lies in what superiority means. I meant it in relation to the man being the head. He is the provider whether rich or not, the protector, whether lanky or not. the responsibilities lie on him whether smart or not.

I don't think men generally have greater physical strength. that is subject to conditioning. If I learn taekwando for example, I would beat down a lanky man who didn't learn same. that men are physically stronger is a myth.
