that is not everything. You need to put it all |
bukatyne: Sorry, i'm posting multiple posts. Why don't you believe in equality?I am very passionate about matters relating to women. I have had experiences with women at the very grassroots. I have seen women who are only trophies and I have met and interacted with intelligent and successful women. I took a comprehensive course on women and see them sick, hurt, etc like on a daily basis. Despite all these, having a big influence on my attitude towards men and women, I am still very much a Muslim, a muslim first and d laws of the QUr'an are never to be changed. the Qur'an puts men as the head and that isn't to be changed.so equality doesn't come in. the laws of inheritance are such that women get half of what a man gets and those aren't changing either, etc. The best a WOman would do to help herself is marry a good man, one who is well brought up, reasonable and wise. |
toba: ر يوم طلعت فيه الشمس يوم الجمعة؛ فيه خلق الله آدم،that is a beautiful poem. Do u mind translating it, toba? and where did you get it from. |
bukatyne: I agree with you. Most men DON'T respect women and it shows in all their dealings with each other. Most men frown at the idea of women being equal with them and I wonder:I don't believe in equality though. Each person is playing a part that leads to a synergy that works. All I expect is respect from the men for the women folk and that respect would include making their opinions count and being sensitive to their feelings. All these the holy book preach. funnny though how anyone would be courteous to others and not to the closest people to him. If you read what Obama said concerning his daughter dating, he said something like they have seen how much respect he gives their mother and have high standards about what to expect in a relationship. this is how to train girls to be confident about whom they are and never to be doormats to anyone, male or female, for anything. |
dridowu: May Allah increase us in KnowledgeAMin |
wow. need I say more? |
wa alykum salam. I am sure there are people who would be ready to help. I am in fact counting on tbaba. But I think your problem is half solved because already you have realised there is a problem and are ready to find solutions. a mistake you make though is allowing your past weight you down. Once you ask for forgiveness with sincerity, be hopeful you are forgiven. seek from Allah whatever you wish and he will answer you. Dont think your sins are too big that Allah wouldnt answer your prayers or acc3pt your worship. Remember shaytan asked to be able to mislead even after he had commited the great sin in disobedience to Allah and Allah answered him. I pray Allah keeps you firm in the deen. do not despair. the favor of Allah is near. |
Logicboy03: Thanks but remember that I'm an atheist. I cant afford to put my pics up in case some butthurt extremists recognises me on the street.dont be so naive. |
satisfaction. I still wonder why scholars emphasise how the wife should be satisfied with what the husband can provide without emphasising that he takes her the way she is and allow her carry out her duties to the best of her abilities. The world will change when men are brought up by women who teach them to respect women. I always use my family as an example. I would be surprised if any of my siblings disrespects women and I could get same from mdsock's posts. If you have women you are proud of, that you appreciate in your family, you would want to marry someone you can as well respect, that would not be below par with the ones you know and you would more likely treat her with respect. I have always known that the life people have lived, the people they have known, where they come from etc are deciding factors when choosing their spouses, their relationship with people, outlook on life and their over all life quality. The Quran will Guide but all of these play roles. |

during the treaty of udaybiyyah, a very trying moment for the prophet and his people, the best decision he made was after he sought his wife, Umm Salama's opinion. a sissy would have asked her to shut up, even if she wanted to state her mind, because her doing so was him 'submitting'to her which would be unmanly and not what the Quran commands. someone said laws are made for men and not men for laws. @bukatyne, I came back k ![]() |
bukatyne: I am splendid, thanks. You are right. |
"Wahhabism (Arabic: وهابية, Wahhābiyyah) is an ultra-conservative[1] branch of Sunni Islam.[2][3] It is a religious movement among fundamentalist Islamic believers, with an aspiration to return to the earliest fundamental Islamic sources of the Quran and Hadith, with inspiration from the teachings of Medieval theologian Ibn Taymiyyah and early jurist Ahmad ibn Hanbal".
I have always called myself a Muslim without ascribing a sect but your definition sounds exactly like what I perceive as the true Islam. the Conservative Islam based on the fundamental islamic sources. who doesnt want to be d Muslim that follows this way of life? |
fellis: beejaay is an atheist.no wonder. |
bukatyne: How are you? You ran wawy from the Muslim wife thread.I am fine. how are you too? I didnt run. there was just too many people speaking my mind.I didnt see a reason to continue. @op, I see so many Nigerians display intelligence, writing on blogs etc without much to show for it. someone else displays flesh and or sell gossips and boom, is in money. a lot needs to be done, if Nija must be better. |
