Great0ne1: Obi would have removed subsidy only when the refineries are working. Can you explain to me, what apc has been doing for 8 years without fixing our refinery Only when refineries are working? That would be never, because our refineries as of now, are not operational. Then I wonder where your Obi would raise the money to run his government in the meantime. It seems you people don't even know we borrowed to pay subsidies. |

Otherwise, it would have been unconstitutional to conduct any election in Abuja. I don't understand the confusion this or is English language that hard? |

Get your facts right. the rate you are talking of is black market rate which is even now 795 no longer 760 like it was before. infacts banks sells 810 now. Where did you get your own dollars at 460? I remembered we applied for it for my nephew going for studies in the US just this March and we never got it and we had to raise it by other means, so I know what I'm saying. |

That has been the official rate, or when was the last time you got dollars at 460? I work in a foreign company where they pay in dollars, I've been selling it above 700 at the black market since last year, so I don't understand the fuss about this. I hate black market. Let everyone buy and sell at the same rate. Simple. |

obyrich: I don't think that Kwara is Yoruba land. There may be Yorubas in Kwara just as we have Igbos in Delta and Rivers but that doesn't mean those states are Igbo state. Maybe a boundary adjustment will resolve these kind of issues. This may be true for Ilorin. They're rebels from time immemorial, but Ilorin itself is surrounded by Yoruba Towns. The welcome signpost at Shao reads "Here is Yorubaland.. No Emirate here". The government had to build Sobi barracks between this small Town and Ilorin for a good reason. We have Ganmo on the southern flank. If the Priestess had moved her festival to places like Ganmo, which is just a footstep from Ilorin, a thousand Emir wouldn't have do as much as breath unusually loud. Anyone who knows Kwara state well knows the Ilorin are bastards, however that's confined within the little walls of their 4 local government areas. They'll never join issues with proud Yorubas in Kwara south. I'm from Ekiti local government of the state, just for your info, and we practice our Oro festival. |

Kukutenla: What exactly is political oloshoism and under what principle is it a crime? Kindly explain. I still wonder what you all mean by grooming parties. Political parties in Nigeria cost money. If you don't have money you can have a party and nothing will come of it. Should i count those who have floated parties since 1999? Gani, Sowore, Ojukwu, Orji Kalu, Tinubu, Buhari, Braithwaite etc. How many of those parties are alive and well today? Are you saying those individuals do not know how to groom parties as well? Even Tinubu and Buhari had to merge their parties as well to have a chance at bigger things yet you think Obi alone should groom a party to national appeal. Na wa o. Lagos IGR was about 1bn before Tinubu took office and it rose to 7bn by 2007 when he left office. I'm sure your aim is to tout last year's figures of 50bn but if I ask you what deliberate policies brought that 50bn, you'll be in pains. Collecting tax is not an achievement to tout. It's what the tax is used for that matters. Lagos has been rich since colonial times and remains rich all through then it was capital till now. I still believe the whole claim of Tinubu improving the economy of Lagos independent of Nigerian economy is hogwash. You can itemise the policies he initiated since 1999 till now to keep Lagos as the richest state. And it's lie. Bayelsa does not owe salaries. Don't tell lies to defend your masters Listen to your self! So by how much have you increased your own income in the last 8 years if being able to raise IGR from N1Bn to N7Bn is nothing to you? From time immemorial, taxes have been a means income for governments, so I do not understand your problem with paying taxes. Abi dem no dey pay tax in your saner climes? OK, I guess revenues just keep increasing without deliberate efforts. Is that how you grew your own wealth? |

His government is the one that came and removed all sorts of subsidies on petrol and education then he should lead by example to reduce cost of governance. Why can't he remove all this wastage with the speed he used to remove subsidy. It's like the bondage they put you is very comfortable for you and tribal sentiments is what puts food on your table. I'm just fed up for this country and it's not because of the leaders alone but because of morons like you that supports everything the government does for tribal reasons like zombies. In as much as the amount is ridiculous, we all know Jonathan spent an average of N1billion naira annually on this same feeding Buhari budgeted N300m+ for and some of you defended him. Arrewa: I will put this here... For nairalanders to know who Seun really is. His Hatred for Islam is just too strong that hiding it is almost impossible.
Go and check seun's comments on twitter, he's always there looking for any controversial topic or flaws in Islam to criticize and talk about!
The one that caught my attention more is this particular one, that he even told a Yoruba Muslim who countered him to "stop tweaking to people who don't rate him".
Meaning his attacks is channeled towards the northern Muslim. That Yoruba Muslim should stay Away.
Have you ever seen seun talk about the atrocities happening in the East??
Have you ever seen him criticize the Easterners or there leaders Even when they're reports of cannibalism, killing of innocent souls including women and children? Infact most ipob atrocities don't make it to the front page of nairaland.
He don't dare! Because he don't want them to come for him, and his business.
But you see Muslims... This man carry their matter for head... I may be mistaken, but only the Yoruba mosques have space for women. In the North, the women pray outside the mosque or pray at home. |
