Only a fool will support Buhari's 8 years of disastrous governance. It's just unfortunate that Tinubu also inherited the hatred Nigerians have for Buhari. I can't wait for Buhari to leave the government for good. The man is a big fool.
post=123136798: He is not the owner, he was appointed Chairman because were Credit Suisse is major shareholder and he was former head of Credit Suisse
So an Igbo man is the Chairman of MTN Nigerians and he automatically becomes the owner, but a Yoruba man is appointed Chairman of GIP, but he doesn't own dime in the company? Are you people deliberately daft or it's unintentional?
Well, in other climes, he would have been gunned for assaulting a police officer and heaven will not fall. He really messed up big time. I don't like people that can't control their temper.
You guys have time. I'll never engage any Obidient on political matters again. It's pointless. It's obvious Obi used some sort of mind control in this last election and it's turning many of his disciples to something very similar to zombies.
I think some people are getting somewhere with this incessant shooting in the US. This is deliberately done to force something. The last is not heard of it.
GreyLaw: No. You are Yoruba who schooled in Igalaland so you know how it sounds. I lived in Lokoja for years and visited Ankpa and other places. Yorubas who have not lived near Igala people won't know how it sounds.
Actually, it sounds Yoruba. I could easily understand 4 out of 10 words spoken in Igala tongue. If you know Ekiti very well, you would know they'd have said exactly "Omo Ekiti me se" if they mean to say "I'm Ekiti".
thatigboman: u guys keep complaining of asaba being made capital. Say IBB did that because of his wife. Well, I dont know about that. Quick question, between onitsha and awka, which one was supposed to the state capital? Between aba and umuahia, which one is supposed to be the state capital?
You're not getting the gist. Any place can be the state capital. The guy I quoted said that Igbos have at least 40% influence in Delta. I'm just telling him it's a lie. The first two most influential ethnic groups in Delta are not Igboid.
Felimax: Nonsense? It's ok! I am a born Wafarian and a typical proud one at that. Though from Delta North I still believe and know very well that my state is laced with a lot of Igbo cultures.
We may not be Igbos by tribe. We may not be Igbos by divisions. We may have every reason not to be Igbos but one truth is very certain the Igbo culture and way of life is more closer to me than the people from the North and West.
The hard truth even though as a typical Deltan I will not accept it is the fact that Igbos are the primary movers of most states in Nigeria with Delta State inclusive.
Personally I can't imagine Nigeria without the Igbos. There is an extent you will go in this country as a Deltan and the only tribe or people that will come to your rescue are the Igbos.
May God continue to empower them, enrich them and lead them forth.
If an Igbo call you his brother don't joke with it.
I don't have anything against the Igbos, but if you ask me, Warri people decide everything in Delta State. Asaba (I consider them Igboid) is just an administrative area. I disagree that Nigeria can't do without a tribe. I believe we'll do better individually than being together without direction.
Felimax: Much as I will not accept been an Igbo man it is necessary to state clearly that if you define and understand properly what the word Igbo is you will see that Igbo holds almost 40% stake in Delta State.
Make it 60%. Nonsense. It's only in Delta state you'll see that the state capital has nothing serious going on there. Everyone knows those in Warri zone are the movers in Delta state.
lexikul: If you have followed our tradition very well you will find out majority of the Itsekiri's never wanted Ayiri as Ologbotsere and one major voice was that of Chief Rita Lori. The late King still went ahead and Itsekiri's accepted it because no one can question the king, after the king's demise Ayiri tried playing God and if not handled seriously it may cause serious unrest in the kingdom. The king gave him ample time to turn a new leaf but he refused and even ridiculed and questioned the legitimacy of the King, in all the King was patient. The time for revalidation came and he refused to turn up, the king didn't give out the position but suspended him just to see if he will revert back to his senses but he refused. The Ooni of Ife visited him on this same issue and he was adamant, the Oba of Benin called him to a meeting regarding this same issue and he still wouldn't bend. So the King was very right in taking the step he took and the king even offered him his original title, the one he inherited from his father which he refused. Now back to the Ologbotsere title, this is the highest title in the land after the King. In the absence of the Ologbotsere the Iyatsere takes up the position of the Ologbotsere now do you think the families of the Ologbotsere will be happy that their family is been shortchanged because one of their sons has gone rogue, if you were the elders of the Ologbotsere family what will you do.
If this is case, then I think it's even wrong to even give him another title in place of Ologbotsere.
lexikul: I don't know where you are from but as an Itsekiri no one is on the same level with the king. All are servants to the throne and the king does as it pleases him. The king's titles include Áfomasin=He who speaks and doesn't go back Ogiame=Lord of the water Afotse=He who says and does
I'm Yoruba. In time past, even Kings have those that put them in checks to avoid misuse of power. We force Kings to commit suicide if they commit great atrocities. Kings should be wise, we were meant to believe. Giving someone title to another just because he tried to stop your ascension to the throne is not a wise decision. It's what average people would do, and Kings are not supposed to act in predictable manners. Whatever happens to drawing your enemies closer than your friends.
Just for the records, I'm totally against any form of palliative support for anyone. Rather, the government should endeavor to channel the resources from subsidy removal to better ventures. Sharing money to people is exactly what destroyed this country during the early days of oil discovery when we should be investing in power generation, human capital and rail transportation.
lexikul: He has no case, he is just misguided. His father was a chief and he was given his father's title. The late Olu elevated him to the position of Ologbotsere which he shouldn't have in the first place. At the demise of the Olu he Ayiri was playing God going contrary to the will of the people and even the ruling family because he was the Ologbotsere and sees himself as the highest authority in the absence of the king and as such he wanted to install another prince as the king and when it backfired he started throwing tantrums. Ask Ayiri if the beads he is talking about was the one used by the last Ologbotsere before him. The King was magnanimous enough to even offer him his father's title which was the chieftaincy title he was originally given but he declined because his pride is bigger than the kingdom itself. My greatest joy is that he declined that offer cos he can never be trusted and so shouldn't be in the circle of the King. Ogiame Suoooo Oma Iwere Dede
There are better ways to deal with a troublesome person like this, not by giving his title to someone else. There are some traditional titles that the will never be transferred to another person unless the holder is dead. If the holder commits an unforgivable offence, it's either he's banished or forced to commit suicide. If you can't do any of such, you have to let him be. No be everybody go agree with you on everything.
saintrow1: Some oloriburukus will come here to blame the government and ignore the owner/s that refused to spend money to buy quality building materials. It is not by force to build in that area if you don't have the money, go to Agege, ikorodu, epe etc.
I don't think this collapse has anything to do with the quality of materials used. Banana Island is a patch of swampy lands o.
Buhari & Mahmood Spectacularly Wasted an Opportunity for Heroism - Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
What exactly is the fuss about uploading results in real time? I don't understand. 🤷 Since you guys are so sure the results were mutilated and what was uploaded on the iRev is different from the originally uploaded PU results, why not present a polling unit by polling unit results to the Tribunal? Buhari and Mahmud didn't waste any opportunity to become heroes in any way. For God's sake, are these people expecting INEC to declare Obi irrespective of the outcome of the election?
This guy is an idiot. Pandering to a people that wouldn't take a second guess to bring down your source of livelihood is boot licking in it's purest form.
