This is Hall 3 " " Block. The underground tanks are no more functional? I spent my 200L on this Block, 1993-4. Our University Administrations don't really do much to make students life normal at all. |
Since this man Dr orhii took over NAFDAC, he has destroyed the legacy of the late Prof Dora Akunyili. He is owing staff months of salaries and allowances. It's just one more case of incompetent medical Drs running health institutions because he is a medical doctor rather than his mgt competence and failing to deliver. When Akunyili (a pharmacist) left the office, political medical doctors fought hard to ensure that no other health care professionals get the job but a med.doctor. just as all our health care systems have been messed up the same process of dominating all health care systems in Nigeria. |
The Gallant Army we used to know but descicrated under GEJ into a running army. God bless these Soldiers |

Orikinla:Nigerian Medical Council should close any clinic or hospital without required medical equipment, so that they will not deceive ignorant people to mistake them for real clinics and hospitals. The Nigerian Medical Council or Association is to blame for these clinics and hospitals operating without equipment in Nigeria, because they are owned or run by their members. |
Most of the problems in our health care are due to administrative incompetence and poor planning. All Health ministers are Medical doctors, all health commissioners are medical doctors, all state and federal health management boards or committees are heavily dominated by medical doctors. All Chief medical directors of all hospitals are Medical doctors. Therefore, decision-making in health care systems and institutions are dominated by medical doctors and since they are unquestionable and unanswerable to any other, they are to blame. Nigerian Medical Association has become more of a political organization than an apex health professionals body, they claim to be fighting for better health care but all they do bully paramedical professionals, cover up mismanagement by their colleagues, blame non-medical professionals and allocate budgetary provisions to themselves, use appropriated funds to buy out-dated,substandard or refurbished equipment even when budget was made for standard state of the art equipment. i have a friend who sells medical equipment, if you get to hear what he experiences in dealing with govts hospital and health ministry mgt. No medical equipment purchase request can be approved or purchased without the admin or hospital management MDs (if not the commissioner) signing the approval. Budget for medical equipment are made with prices for the latest or modern equipment with are usually very expensive (often 3-4x the actual cost, to provide for some %tage to some top officials). Once the budget is approved, the equipment eventually purchased is usually of less quality and specifications approved for purchase the rest of the funds is pocketed and covered up by the beneficiaries. After a couple of years, often less than the warranty period, the equipment becomes faulty as expected, are left unserviced for a while and finally auctioned and bought by same Doctors for their own private clinics often at ridiculously lower rate than market price. Any health care system is comprised of a team of all health care (Medical, Para-medical, non-medical) personnel. An experienced medical doctor is traditionally the head or captain of the team and as such carry the team along for effectiveness. All health care is not about Medical doctors alone, all members of the team have inputs that helps the MD to effectively manage the health of a pat. But in Nigeria, these other health care team members are looked down on or disrespected by medical doctors. sometimes, MDs wants people to believe that these other professions are irrelevant and they can be done without. Nobody else advises govts. on health care policies and expenditure other than medical doctors, if the policies are failing, facilities are under staffed, under equipped etc, blame for their failure to do the needful. the frequents strikes they embark of for better working conditions are often presented to the public as demands for equipment and facility, in fact, they are usually for their salaries, allowances and remunerations. The consultants no longer have time to supervise their residents, they run around using govt time to attend private patients in several private hospitals or their private hospitals/clinics. The worst culprits are the administrative doctors, event young medical doctors are victims too. Until Nigerians begin to make hospitals answer questions on questionable deaths of relatives, the situation will remain. The poor justice system in Nigeria also means that people cannot wait for the length of time it takes to get justice, the cover-up of questionable deaths and injuries by other doctors to avoid justice, the believe that doctors are demi-gods by many uninformed people also does not help matters. In the civilised countries, the fear of malpractice suits by aggrieved patients or relatives of patients put the doctors on the alert. I expect fireworks from MDs and many uninformed doctors-worshipping wailers here ![]() |

Sometime in 2013, when the long overdue expansion of the YAKOYO-ALAGBOLE-AKUTE road(OGUN STATE) linking OJODU BERGER (LAGOS STATE) began, the long suffering populace in those environs hived a sign of relief. if you are familiar with those areas, you would agree with me that the non expansion of the road has and still wasting of people's time, resources, lives etc. When I spent my 2014 holidays in Akute and I saw the project on going and i was happy that for once, we will have free road, eat less PANADOL for consistent body pains and less time to spend travelling on that road. A relative of mine who lives in Akute and works near international Airport, spend 5 hours daily on this route. But in my recent visit to this area (AKUTE) shows that the project has been abandoned for about a year now,as shown in my pictures. The other side part of this is that there was no alternative route made to alleviate the suffering of the people. My question is, what has Governor IBIKUNLE AMOSUN done with the funds for the project? Will he complete this project before he leaves office in the next 4yrs? Rumours have it that, during his preparation to run for the 2nd term in office, he met strong opposition from another contestant and he had to "settle" the contestant to keep his ambition and that's where the funds when to.

With so much money lying idle in govt coffers, why won't lootocrates do thing? The underground rail or any other modern rail requires electricity to run but how much many billions did Obasanjo and GEJ" sink" into power that has not worked? Let govt give us stable power and see how Nigerians (many in diaspora will return with ideas and knowledge and even resources, together with local manpower) will transform Nigeria overnight. But the politicians won't allow until we arise and stone them. |
Sorry, I don't have much expectations of our current team. They came 4th in African Qualifiers, lacking quality and creativity. The team is built around 2 players; Capt and midfielder Kelechi Nwakali and Striker Osimeh. If these two fail to perform or gets injured, the whole team becomes lame. I wish them well. |

They have not stopped hating even after he won, yet they are placing demand or expecting favours from him. Shameless hate-full people. |
From what I gathered so far from this event, I will state the following: Enyeama is longest and most consistent goal keeper eagles have ever had. The most successful goal keeper too. The frequent changes of managers (Chief Coach) and consistent NFF infighting during change of leadership means that such long serving players no longer have the respect for authority. Having been so successful as national player and surviving several unnecessary issues in the football admin mostly due to their personal interest the enthusiasm of the long serving players wane out. On the current issues, Oliseh is fighting for time to get his team ready for great things and considering the fact that NFF wasted too much before appointing him, he is under pressure to deliver. Hence, he needs to be firm from the start in order to get the players used to his style. Both Oliseh and NFF are aware that Enyeama reached Belgium early enough but turned camp late. The players from Nig were having visa problems hence there was only one keeper(Ikeme) in camp. That Enyeama went for his mum's burial was not the issue but he got Belgium in time but reported late to camp and by then the coach would have made alternative plans for Musa who captained against Tanzania (when Enyeama was excused to go home after his mum died) to hold on the captaincy. Enyeama lateness was going to disrupt their plans. Then, he challenged the coach for announcing Musa as the Captain ( it may have been a temporary plan for these matches they have this week) that is where enyeama missed it. Besides, Enyeama is no longer the future of the team, we need to start building the confidence of the younger players by giving them responsibility and opportunity to grow. If we keep depending on the aging players we may find ourselves in a vacuum when they suddenly run out of form due to age or injury. This was the case when Enyeama and Ejide came to camp 2002. Ike shurunmu struck by iñjury and the inexperienced Ejide was called up preparatory to 2002 WC. His lack of exposure and experience showed in friendly against Scotland as he was jittery. He was later called up before Shorunmu recovered for the WC. It took years of inconsistent performances before Enyeama and Ejide gain confidence and consistency in goal. It's possible that both parties could have handled the situation better but the pressure on Oliseh and NFF would not allow them handle indiscipline with kids glove. Longevity in service is no excuse to challenge your coach in a crucial time as this. Enyeama has been coolheaded for years but he has also had issues with previous coaches ( Siasia and Keshi) under similar circumstances. He needs time off national team pressure to concentrate on his club career as aging is not his side save because he is a goal keeper. |

stinggy:This just goes to tell you how much lies egomaniac religious bigot like this use their influence (Professor) to brainwash their ignorant and educated followers. Being a professor of probably Islamic studies, they believe him to be so well educated that he is correct. What a shame on his title. This is how they tell lies about the Bible and deliberately misinterpret Bible passages to stair up hatred in their followers |

Timbuktou:My brother you are realistic in your post, lots of other posters above you are assuming and that is dangerous. They say, the taste of the pudding is in eating until you encounter one of such broken ones in a real relationship, you have no how messed up they (especially some of the girls) can be. I am a testifyer, my marriage to one of such ended after 5yrs. She moved out after instigating a family row that engulfed her. She was warned to pick issues with her in-laws (who were not bordering her) but her hatred for her dad and her dad's family is too deeply engraved in her heart. She didnt know how to show love or receive love, she was not willing to learn anything beyond what she felt she knew even what she knew were mostly assumptions and based on her mother's view of things. She look for opportunities to flame her hate by targeting anybody she doesn't like. Before those ladies here who are quick to defend their likes starts to pick issues with me or accuse me of what they assume I did ( because as far as they are concerned men are always the breaker of homes) not even my ex can point a finger of accusation to me that I cheated. She knew very well that I could not cheat hence, she taught she had me pocketed and she could cause trouble between me and my siblings in other to isolate me. My advice to any guy who is in relationship with such girls , you had better find out her relationship with her dad incase she was raised by her mum. A girl raised by her dad is more likely to respect men than those raised her mum. Do not assume anything, such messed up girls cover up their flaws till you are committed. |
