Messi gets to play against national teams that are many leagues their junior, everyday, twice on Sunday. That was more than enough opportunity to statpad. The gap between Argentina and any other National Team in South America is way way wide compared to Portugal, that has never been in the Top 3 teams of Europe all through Ronaldo's career. And Portugal are always surrounded by fellow European Teams with little gaps separating them. Guatemala (3), Hong Kong (2) and Nicaragua (2) are not even South American farmers, but they still donated generously to Messi's largesse. 2 Likes |

Oh Please. Y'all should calm down. Copa America was played every 3 years (at a point, after one year) and Argentina, alongside Brazil have been heavy favourites in each of those competitions. Not to speak of friendlies and all of that. Messi has equal chance of statpadding (let's forget about Messi's tour of Ligue 1 for now). He plays for arguably the biggest team in South America. Go take a look at the top 10 Nations as ranked. Only Brazil and Argentina makes the top 10 (as expected). Aside Mexico, the remaining 7 are European Teams, with Portugal a distant 8th. Even if you expand the list from 11th to 20th, there are still 6 European Teams out of 10. In a nutshell, they also have a tougher bunch to play against than other continents. 3 Likes |

onadana:I hope justice is served too. Thank God for you. I also had a case like that with my wife (now separated). She went to the Domestic Violence unit and reported me. I was summoned. When I did, it was like a 'nail him by all means' situation. A large gathering of disgruntled women if I'm being factual. It was when the woman who called me on phone came in that some manner of decorum return. She was of the opinion that having dealt with many of these violent spouses before now, I didn't speak or bear the part. She asked to hear from me and I calmly explained myself and tendered the many evidence I had. They had me write an undertaking anyway, but not without making her write one too and admonishing her over 'mental cruelty'. I wondered what may have happened if I didn't have character witnesses and evidence. My God. 2 Likes |

There is always this diatribe when it comes to Peter Obi. That election doesn't hold on the internet. This is true for now. What is also true is that advanced countries are leveraging internet to make the voting process easier. It goes to show that Nigeria will be at that level one day. What is also true is that a stark illiterate cannot and most likely does not use social media. So if majority of the people on social media are swinging one way, you can agree that the educated have spoken. 1 Like |

The Police acted quickly. We know firsthand how badly things could get when it comes to bikemen and Ojo. Plus I think the presence of Ojo barracks, not so far from where the seizures were made helped do a quick format of the violent natures. On the flip side, this is likely to distract the police from their original duties as it is a very lucrative venture. Also, the only ones that would be affected are those with no connection in the forces themselves. On my way back home yesterday, when the driver parked to pick/drop passengers, there was this minibus driving one way in the now-expanded dual carriage highway. There was no reason to do this obviously as there was no traffic on either lane but it didn't bother the driver from breaking the law. Anyways, police pounced on them but immediately they saw the army personnel sitting on the passenger side, they smiled and let the driver go. 6 Likes 1 Share |
