PoliticsOpinion: How Nigeria Can Contain The Ebola Virus by deSika(op): 4:49pm On Aug 07, 2014
I think a state of emergency should be declared in Lagos for 3
weeks with very restricted movement limited to doctors and a
very few media guys. Since this virus causes its hemorrhage
within 21 days of living in a host (correct me if I'm wrong), we
can avoid further spread within this period. People that develop
symptoms within this period can then be contained in their homes and environs and then transported to hospitals for
treatment. Helplines will be made available and doctors will be
highly mobile. Case in point; Imagine bankers counting notes and
giving out money to all sorts, imagine conductors doing what
they know how to do best and also the sweat/ fluid people share
for free in buses, imagine what will happen when the government hospitals resume and are overtly crowded with
people having different symptoms of different kinda diseases,
imagine your own boss shaking your hands, imagine a club,
shoprite, imagine anything. This drastic measure will for sure
cripple the economic infrastructure of the state, but giving the
weakness of our health sector and the nonchalance of our doctors (going on strike because of trivial issues on who will head the
medical practice), I think we need to handle this situation very
fast and I mean NOW before it deteriorates like the Chibok issue.
Truth be told our leaders are clueless and are not as concerned as
you think.. Believe me, Ebola is not malaria oo, it kills like demons.
*my thoughts*

in one minute people would be castigating Jonathan for playing a blinds eye to corruption. When corrupt officials face impeachment as a result of their corrupt deeds those same people come crying foul. Nigerians what do you want..

Before you quote me. Think 4 a minute is it ok for the corrupt governor not to be impeached simply because Jonathan doesnt want to play dirty politics

Last bullet
My wish is that all corrupt officials be impeached. Everyone of them including those lg Chairmen and councillors

Paris_Love: I think you should be the one to answer your question. Did quran/allah/muhamad say:
1) No prophet would come after Muhammad?
2) No NEW PROPHET would come after Muhammad? Or
3) No old prophet will come with a NEW MESSAGE?
good questions. U can also find similar questiöns here

LagosShia: you want to scare others and forbid them to air their views. you are a no body and you cannot do that. it is my human and constitutional right to air my views. i will continue to air my views and post even if you come out of my computer screen with your mouth wide open to bite me-I will keep typing!
you cannot intimidate anyone by childish moves, not to post what I see as right.Islam and the Quran very much encourages us to think, something you and all those following fascist ideologies (that contradict Islam) are opposed to.
succinct!
Christianity EtcRe: God Does Not Forgive: A Challenge To All Christians by deSika(m): 12:34pm On Jul 04, 2013
plaetton: Bros, to be honest , you guys have done a marvelous job so far, and I'm that close to conceding. But common sense compels me to keep shinning the light.
It's not about pride or stuborness, none of which I have.
you have seen the truth, but just cant easily give up just like that. wink

plaetton: You are intelligent people , and you would agree with me that " their evil ways " is much too ambiguous to be taken seriously as framework upon which punishment can be metted out.
It's like George Bush calling five Arab countries, "axis of evil" as an excuse bring war and conflict in that oil-rich region.
And exactly how does a nation repent from their evil ways? You agree with me that it would take at least two generation to weed out evil ways and enthrone rightousness in any given nation.
In case of the Israelites, Yahweh let them wander in the wilderness for 40yrs in order to weed out a generation idol worshippers. In that period, he killed 40,000 of them himself.

My point is that the idea being portrayed here that wearing sacloth, ashes and fasting for a period, somehow changed Nineveh from evil to righteousness is very infantile.
And ofcourse, the bible does not tell us what happened thereafter. Are we assuming that everyone got instantly transformed and never reverted to their "evil ways" again?
These kinds of stories are for little children and should not be taken seriously by thinking adults.

What the bible showed is a classic shakedown of Nineveh, nothing else.

The bible does not mention, but I am speculating that in the midst of all that sacloth, ashes and fasting, other deals might have been hatched between Jona and the king of Nineveh.
all this is what i call gragra

you asked a question about where God forgave. they showed you Jesus' statement and acts of forgiveness. you said Jesus is not God blablabla.

they showed you where God forgave isrealites who did wrong in their religous rites in the hezekiah story, you said healing is not forgiveness

they now showed you where God forgave nineveh, you now come up with 'evil' is ambigous.

what do you want God to forgive them for. to forgive them for being good people abi.
