The worst thing that is happening to u right now is that u ve refused to learn even with free opportunities like this. Why can't you shut ur mouth nd learn from reasonable contributions from others instead of exposing high level of ignorance in public with baseless naïve comments. With what you just said one doesn't need a soothsayer to know ur background and where u re coming from. Its a good thing Nigerian youths are reasoning and interacting with so much facts, knowledge, wisdom and the zeal to educate one another instead of the usual abuse and myopic nd naïve discouragements nd demoralisations that usually trails such topics. |
This question is quite technical, but from my experience, I think Cheating is preferable for women because they appreciate more the time and attention they get from their man, I mean you can cheat and lie to your woman hence she didn't catch you or you didn't do it before her own eyes or you didn't do it to scorn, abuse or embarrass her to her knowledge, she is ok as long as she gets your attention whenever she wants it. But when you spend more time on social media in her presence, its a different ball game, as she sees it as a neglect, an abuse and lack of attention, time, or recognition of her presence. In most cases it is a serious flame for quarrels among married couples. It causes several times a serious source of dischord. |
I can't express how much i love this write up, you just hit the nail on the head. this is just the true nature of our nation and we are yet to wake up to the challenges therewith. may God help Nigeria. Nigeria, a very Religious country, in fact one of the most Religious nation on planet earth, yet it is ranked amongst the most corrupt nd poor nations of the world. Nigeria talks about culture and Religion whenever it comes to issues they disagrees or have reserves for eg the same sex marriage issue and some female dressings etc, yet you ask yourself what is our culture and Religion after all? Almost everything we practice as a nation is borrowed yet we talk about our Religion and culture, if I may ask, are Christianity and Islam that re the two major religions in Nigeria our culture or Religion, were they not borrowed? Now Nigerians are the ones teaching the whites what morals, Religious, and cultural believes are, isn't it funny and ridiculous, same people that brought these things us and made our forefathers destroy all our values nd cultures? Indeed, according to our very renowned author the late Chinua Achebe,"THINGS HAVE REALLY FALLEN APART" all these, have just one thing to show us, which is that the whites have left us in our little yester years ideas that they brought us to, and they ve moved on to the next level while it ll take us a lot of years to sink the ideas and rationale behind their new cultures, traditions, and religion before we can carry it all on our head as if we are the founding fathers, and most probably become fanatics of it and use it to cause more havoc nd destructions. And by then, the whites would have bn thousands of years ahead of us and just maybe we might be called the 10th world continent by then. "Let us emancipate ourselves from mental slavery, because none but ourselves can free our mind". Change takes time, after all it took our forefathers a lot before they can accept these foreign religions 'Christianity and Islam' so its just a matter of time before our eyes are opened to the real things and values of life. |
This man, are u not yet tired of these shameless habitual lies? At ur age, a granny, when ll u ever learn nd use the rest of ur life to serve God nd humanity? U re a very big disgrace, shame, nd disappointment to us Abians. |
The problem in Nigeria is not that of religion, rather, its of greed, selfishness, pride, corruption, deceit, cover-ups, destructions, nd sheer Wickedness. |
Constructive criticisms will definitely do Nigeria more good than constantly giving misleading informations, sentimental politics nd or sponsored arguments. If a particular party or govt has failed during its time or tenure, I believe the best thing they should do is to relax, learn nd support a performing govt in power instead of all these unnecessary distractions, they should sit down, think nd reinforce. I no all these dirty propagandas re for 2015 to smuggle in another thief that will be feeding the fat, greedy, gullible, dirty nd shameless old PDP thieves who believes that Imo belongs to them. I understand fellow youths re bn used through their creativity nd intelligence to format these unholy nd ungodly criminal acts of discrediting a performing govt before unintending public. Pls you guys should stop nd desist from this shameful nd disgraceful act of yours, join hands let's save the future, nd the moment is now. |
What joy will you derive from misleading the public, why should we be our own problems? I guess this writer was paid to do this job, otherwise, is two weeks holiday for civil servants too much a grace for them to enjoy their Xmas after a hectic year? What's wrong in giving Xmas bonus to ur workforce, or is it not written that a good work deserves a good reward? Rochas has just spent less than two yrs in office nd going by reliable facts, he isn't doing too badly. I think the writer should visit Abia state of which this is the Governor's second term in office then he can tell the difference btw khaki nd leather, or better still, tell us ur own state let's assess it. Lastly, Mr/Miss, pls give honor to whom honor is due, instead of unnecessary backstabbing. WHO THE CAP FITS, LET HIM WEAR IT. |
As long as it is religious tin, some pple ll even cut their heads down just to defend their leaders. I remember Jesus wiping traders inside a temple in Jerusalem, nd warning them never to convert a place of worship into a business arena. Without any atom of prejudice, who amongst men here supporting nd defending these same old folks who ve stopped at nothing to make sure Nigerians ll never go away from slavery, can proudly tell me the difference between what is happening now in our places of worship nd the one that Jesus Himself condemned? Let not ur tongue speak evil nor deceitful words, let ur yes be yes nd ur no be no. God is watching both the perpetrators nd their supporters, let him who has ears, let him hear. Be wise. |
Like him or hate him, Hon. Pat, is an erudite guru in English Language, but I wonder if he speaks his native dialect with same passion nd skill he sings with the white man's English, nevertheless with Hon. Pat nd his grammatical skills, I ve no doubt in my mind that even the Queen of England will ve no choice but to employ tens of interpreters with a sound current dictionary by their side if they re to comprehend what the Hon. Is saying. |
I trust naija nah, too religious nd yet so wicked nd deceitful. Everybody here is shouting tufiakwa, abomination, evil, end time, nd stuffs yet they ll all be the first to rush nd read the article, nd most times, be very thankful if a video or picture is added to the story. Hmmmm righteous people indeed! So many of u here commit more atrocities than the one cited here nd yet in public you guys still claim saints. Kettles calling the pot black, sentimental nd misguided judges, has the boy nd his family complained to anyone, or have they caused any nuisance anywhere, the answer is no, so who brought the story or topic? Only idle, gossip nd job seeking poke nosing intruders who ll not first remove the logs in their own eyes before others. I think its high time people concentrate on their own lives nd allow others to live theirs as it suits them as long as they aint any danger to their neighbors or the public at large. I rest my case, Ndewo nu. |
If anybody can believe that the president and indeed the entire ruling party is not behind boko haram, then that person can as well believe every jargon that comes his/her way, its just like telling Nigerians how the process of awarding contracts and time frame can prevent the implementation of the capital budget in the same Govt nd time where the recurrent expenditure enjoys a 100% implementation, why because the Govt has no interest of the massive poor public at heart. What pains me the most is the way these guys work so hard tooth nd nail to tarnish the image of the one man that has the power nd charisma to defeat them in a free nd fair election instead of using that same passion to work for the benefit of the poor masses. May God/Allah bless Nigeria. |
AMMONIUS SACCUS - A Greek philosopher, founder of the Neoplatonic school, taught that Christianity and Paganism when rightly understood, differ in no essential points, but had a common origin, and are really one and the same religion" (Taylor, Diegesis, p. 329). GODFREY HIGGINS in Anacalypsis, states: "that every part of the vulgar Christian religion is the same as that of the vulgar religion of the Gentiles; that there is nothing new in the Roman Catholic religion; that, in short it is Reformed or Protestant Gentilism." He goes on to say: "several of the most important doctrinal parts of corrupt modern Christianity are nothing more than scraps of the Heathen mythologies of various kinds taught by different nations, long previous to the Christian era...the immaculate conception, the incarnation, the trinity, with its various hypostases, and the crucifixion and resurrection..." He further states: "It is more than probable that every part has been copied from some former religion; that no part of what has been really the system of the Christian priests was invented originally for their use. To tradition it is indebted for every doctrine and rite which it possesses; to fraudulent and dishonest practices it is chiefly indebted for their establishment." CELSUS the Epicurean philosopher, wrote that "the Christian religion contains nothing but what Christians hold in common with heathen; nothing new" (Justin, Apol 2.). Celsus, in the Octavius of Minucius Felix, says: "All these fragments of crack-brained ordinary and silly solaces played off in the sweetness of song by deceitful [Pagan] poets, by you too credulous creatures [that is, the Christians] have been shamefully reformed and made over to your own god]." ISAAC DE CASAUBON, one of the greatest ecclesiastical scholars, says: "It mightily affects me to see how many there were in the earliest times of the Church, who considered it as a capital exploit to lend to heavenly truth the help of their own inventions, in order that the new doctrine might be more readily received by the wise among the Gentiles. These officious lies, they were wont to say, were devised for a good end" (Taylor, Diegesis, p. 44). FAUSTUS writing to St. Augustine, says: "You have substituted your agape for the sacrifices of the Pagans; for their idols you martyrs, whom you serve with the very same honors. You appease the shades of the dead with wine and feasts; you celebrate the solemn festivals of the Gentiles, their calendars, and their solstices; and as to their manners, those you have retained without any alteration. Nothing distinguishes you from the Pagans, except that you hold your assemblies apart from them" (Draper, Science and Religion, p. 48. New York: 1876). GREGORY OF NAZIANZUS writing to St. Jerome, says: "A little jargon is all that is necessary to impose on the people. The less they comprehend the more they admire. Our forefathers and doctors have often said, not what they though, but what circumstances and necessity dictated" (Hieron ad. Nep.,quoted in Volney's Ruins, p. 177, Boston, 1872). ALBERT CHURCHWARD – The mythicist stated a century ago: "The canonical gospels can be shown to be a collection of sayings from the Egyptian Mythos and Eschatology"(The Origin and Evolution of Religion). BARBARA WALKER - The assertion that Jesus Christ is a myth [reincarnation of Pagan Sun-Myths] can be proved not only through the works of dissenters and "pagans" who knew the truth - and who were viciously refuted or murdered for their battle against the Christian priests and "Church Fathers" fooling the masses with their fictions - but also through the very statements of the Christians themselves, who continuously disclose that they knew Jesus Christ was a myth founded upon more ancient deities located throughout the known ancient world. In fact, Pope Leo X, privy to the truth because of his high rank, made this curious declaration, "What profit has not that fable of Christ brought us!" (The Woman's Encyclopedia of Myths and Secrets, by Barbara Walker, p. 471). Rev. Taylor, in The Diegesis, reports a slightly different version of Leo X's admission: "It was well known how profitable this fable of Christ has been to us." (footnote, p. 35.) KERSEY GRAVES -The Jesus story incorporated elements from the tales of other deities recorded in this widespread area, such as many of the following world saviors and "sons of God," most or all of whom predate the Christian myth, and a number of whom were crucified or executed. Many on this list come from The World's Sixteen Crucified Saviors by Graves. This is not to suggest that all of these god-men characters were utilized in the formation of the Christian myth, as overt contact had not occurred in such places as Mexico or Bermuda. Also, modern orthodoxy does not allow for the dates provided by Graves, i.e., that Quetzalcoatl originates in the 6th B.C.E., a date far too early in the orthodox perspective. However, we utilize this list to demonstrate that the same concepts are found worldwide with and without cultural exchange, because they are derived from the same astro-theological observations. Also, we are in concurrence with the "ancient advanced civilization" theory ("Atlantis" that would allow for one or more centralized civilizations to have spread throughout the world during a very remote period in protohistory, thus taking with it the well-developed Mythos and Ritual, which would then mutate into the various forms found around the globe.M. TURRETIN - In describing the state of Christianity in the fourth century, says "that it was not so much the empire that was brought over to the faith, as the faith that was brought over to the empire; not the Pagans who were converted to Christianity, but Christianity that was converted to Paganism" (Taylor, Diegesis, p. 50). EMPEROR HADRIAN - The early Christians were charged with being a sect of sun-worshippers (Bonwick, Egyptian Belief, p. 283). The Emperor Hadrian could see no difference between them and the followers of the ancient Egyptian god Serapis, who was the Sun. In a letter to the Consul Servianus, the Emperor says: "There are there [in Egypt] Christians who worship Serapis and devoted to Serapis are those who call themselves 'Bishops of Christ'" (Giles, Hebrew and Christian Records, vol. ii. p. 86. London: 1877) |
The truth is that when these so called pastors exhibit or sample their frivolous extravagant life styles in a society or their congregation where people or their members can barely feed, it leaves nothing in the heart of anyone other than to ask if truly these guys were anointed cos as a matter of fact, Jesus Christ who we all claim to follow can not be defined in any light as the moral decay we now see in our churches and the huge thirst for money, power and influence. |
Speaking at the Nnamdi Azikiwe international Airport, the first lady expressed her deep appreciation to all Nigerians who in one way or the other prayed for her during her trial period. Welcome our amiable first lady. |
Page: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek. Barack Obama Focusing your life solely on making a buck shows a certain poverty of ambition. It asks too little of yourself. Because it's only when you hitch your wagon to something larger than yourself that you realize your true potential. Barack Obama America and Islam are not exclusive and need not be in competition. Instead, they overlap, and share common principles of justice and progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings. Barack Obama It's time to fundamentally change the way that we do business in Washington. To help build a new foundation for the 21st century, we need to reform our government so that it is more efficient, more transparent, and more creative. That will demand new thinking and a new sense of responsibility for every dollar that is spent. Barack Obama A good compromise, a good piece of legislation, is like a good sentence; or a good piece of music. Everybody can recognize it. They say, 'Huh. It works. It makes sense.' Barack Obama We need to steer clear of this poverty of ambition, where people want to drive fancy cars and wear nice clothes and live in nice apartments but don't want to work hard to accomplish these things. Everyone should try to realize their full potential. Barack Obama It was the labor movement that helped secure so much of what we take for granted today. The 40-hour work week, the minimum wage, family leave, health insurance, Social Security, Medicare, retirement plans. The cornerstones of the middle-class security all bear the union label. Barack Obama With the changing economy, no one has lifetime employment. But community colleges provide lifetime employability. Barack Obama And I will do everything that I can as long as I am President of the United States to remind the American people that we are one nation under God, and we may call that God different names but we remain one nation. Barack Obama I consider it part of my responsibility as President of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear. Barack Obama I've got two daughters. 9 years old and 6 years old. I am going to teach them first of all about values and morals. But if they make a mistake, I don't want them punished with a baby. Barack Obama It took a lot of blood, sweat and tears to get to where we are today, but we have just begun. Today we begin in earnest the work of making sure that the world we leave our children is just a little bit better than the one we inhabit today. Barack Obama My family, frankly, they weren't folks who went to church every week. My mother was one of the most spiritual people I knew but she didn't raise me in the church, so I came to my Christian faith later in life and it was because the precepts of Jesus Christ spoke to me in terms of the kind of life that I would want to lead. Barack Obama And we can see the positive impacts right here at Solyndra. Less than a year ago, we were standing on what was an empty lot.But through the Recovery Act, this company received a loan to expand its operations. This new factory is the result of those loans. Barack Obama The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better. I, therefore, intend to oppose the effort to increase America's debt. Barack Obama Americans... still believe in an America where anything's possible - they just don't think their leaders do. Barack Obama There is not a liberal America and a conservative America - there is the United States of America. There is not a black America and a white America and latino America and asian America - there's the United States of America. Barack Obama We have an obligation and a responsibility to be investing in our students and our schools. We must make sure that people who have the grades, the desire and the will, but not the money, can still get the best education possible. Barack Obama After a century of striving, after a year of debate, after a historic vote, health care reform is no longer an unmet promise. It is the law of the land. Barack Obama I believe marriage is between a man and a woman. I am not in favor of gay marriage. But when you start playing around with constitutions, just to prohibit somebody who cares about another person, it just seems to me that's not what America's about. Usually, our constitutions expand liberties, they don't contract them. Barack Obama |
And we have done more in the two and a half years that I've been in here than the previous 43 Presidents to uphold that principle, whether it's ending "don't ask, don't tell," making sure that gay and lesbian partners can visit each other in hospitals, making sure that federal benefits can be provided to same-sex couples. Barack Obama |
After several years of serving our fatherland in various capacities, one expects this illustrious Igbo son to be of more service now to his community and kinsmen as custom demands, Rather than come home, the amiable and well respected former vice president of the federal republic of Nigeria Chief Dr Alex Ekwueme is been stocked in Abuja the federal capital territory playing politics and still searching for yet another political office. Just recently, as he turned 80, I was expecting to hear his retirement from active politics and the celebration of his birthday and thanksgiving service in his home town, but instead he prefers his native home and village Abuja. Maybe and just maybe he will retire like his compatriots whose only time of retirement is in the grave. |
funny that no one has praised the insight of Mr president. education is receiving perhaps the highest amount within this budget, and all some could do is insult the president. If you can do better, why didn't you contest? I am pretty sure even councillor for your local government you no fit win, get a life" Nice talk, education is receiving the highest amount within this budget, and no one is praising the president right? Pls when will Nigeria grow beyond rhetoric budgets and mediocrity, how long will it take us as a nation to grow beyond the politics of "I will give you water, road and electricity" I guess we are becoming too childish for our age? So with your eyes wide open you want the president applauded, thought he was a breath of fresh air, one would ve expected a drastic slash in the recurrent budget compare to the joke we just had, what makes him different from others if recurrent expenditure still gets the undeserved attention given to it by previous old air administrations? As far as I no, this budget is more or less a repeat of the previous year's budget but quality and sincere implementation is the only thing that can make the difference. As they say, only time shall tell. |
For me, this budget is not anything more than what we ve always had, submitting the budget early or not isn't an issue as long as the will power is not there to implement. Meanwhile, the recurrent expenditure is still far more than the capital, well, I still praise him for that slight improvement in the capital budget, but we are still hoping and praying for more. |
I guess you know exactly what to do, just follow your heart. "Life na only ones person dey passam o, so enjoy your life and do not allow anything to stand on your way. |
You guys ve not started yet, from mother excellency to son excellency, T.A shouldn't complain about anything because he was a part and parcel of Orji Kalu's Govt, in fact he is the sole benefactor because he was smuggled into the govt house from EFCC cell by his former boss and partner in crime Orji Uzor Kalu. My heart goes out to T.A's son and the likes of Emezue who their mates are seen as the agents and ambassadors of change else where instead they are busy playing old school politics of cheap propaganda and indecent lies and deceit, the mouth of the people is the mouth of the gods. Posterity awaits you guys, as for T.A, no matter what, he can never stay beyond 2015 and as they say, a stitch in time, saves nine. |
Ever since the new dispensation of democratic rule, Abia State has been a very unique state in its style of democracy, first it was "mother excellency, now its son excellency" we hardly know what and where the state funds are channeled to, from Umuahia to Aba, there are no remarkable projects to give the state the face or name lift that it strongly desires, the federal roads are in shambles, state roads are serious death traps and the Local Governments are dead, and so there is nothing one can expect from them. With several big names from the State, one would have expected some level of opposition or campaign against bad governance, but it appears that from the State Assembly to the least person in political cadre are all answerable to not even the State Governor but his rascal son whom they refer to as "ikuku" which means wind. I will rest my pen here for now as I appeal to whomever it may concern to do something and wipe the tears of the ones God's own State. |
My heart goes out to the first lady and her family, but its quite unfortunate that both her and her allies didn't show much empathy when the late yar adua was in her position, may God help her anyway. |
Senator chukwumerije, with all due respect sir, please before you or Orji Uzor starts your frivolous politics of contesting for the presidency, as they say, charity begins at home. So you guys should first set your house in order, Abia is burning owning the fact that the man you guys smuggled there, I mean T.A has turned the state a child's play him and his family, its now a family affair, from mother excellency to son excellency, when will Abia become a state and not a kitchen cabinet. |
This girl they neva bang you finish, just wait, another one go be AIDs direct. Dino do not be perturbed about tarnishing your image by some faceless peeps. |
is bold two too small for Rihana to use? |
