For instance, telling her that a husband should respect his wife is not as effective or impactful as raising her to have great self-esteem and self-respect. In the second scenario, she would naturally pick a respectful man.

If she is also trained on the difference between healthy self-esteem and arrogance, she would also know how to relate with the respectful man respectably.

Any qualities that she wants in a man. She is a grown woman and she is the one that will live with said qualities. I trust I have raised her with enough sense to choose what is best for her. Also I think my daughter would know her boyfriend better than I would, she actually dated him. I would have only met him a handful of times on his best behavior to form a true assessment.

This occurrence is a perfect representation of the phrase "when the chips are down." It's only when the chips are down like this that one will accept the reality that only ethical class is the real class and that there's no need for marriage where interest isn't mutually altruistic between both parties directly involved. Altruism isn't just the soul of love/friendship/oneness, it's equally the hallmark of good ethics. The inconsequential immaterial thing that matters the most - the best of attributes.

Only an altruistic person (a selfless woman/thoughtful man) can give another (person) faithfulness which is required in a situation like this. Loyalty will always end where benefits stop - the evil of social/economic class and consideration - but faithfulness will not because it's the major hallmark of altruism, it doesn't expect benefit. Faithfulness remains superior to loyalty, so immaterial things (good attributes) over material things (money/physical possessions) any day and any time.
