FamilyRe: She Threaten 2 Divorce Me If I Dont Dissociate Myself From My Best Friend. by devour129: 4:25pm On Apr 05, 2013
A good friend is hard to find likewise a good wife. Try to bring in your wife sometimes into your clique that way she feels secure. Unless your friend it's a womanizer that's only when us women hate that type of friend hence they influence our hubby. That's not a reason to threaten divorce Biko.find your own friend and gist for hours while ignoring your hubby lets see how happy he will be.
BusinessRe: When Is Business Partnership Advisable In Nigeria? by devour129: 1:08pm On Apr 05, 2013
caesaraba: A lot of us biz people who are willing to take risks and venture into the unknown experience this from time to time. Those close to you will sit down and even discourage you when u are starting up a biz, then turn around to tell you they wanna "partner with you" so that the biz can grow. In other words, now that you have gotten something that works, they want to invest so that "monkey go dy work while baboon go dy chop."

See, since you have finally found how to grow your biz, don't go into any partnership abeg. Knowing that you fully control your biz lets you sleep well at night with peace of mind especially on those 'low-tide' periods when biz might not be moving too well. (You won't have to worry about how you are goin to settle a partner).

He has tried for you in the past. Run yor business and when you have enough, also pay him back by doing some favors to him. Simple! That's how life should be. The fact that he helped u does not mean you are his subject in anyway.

Of will ruin your relationship, then fine! Better that than entering a partnership and when things don't go well it will not only ruin your relationship but also give room for all sorts of name-bashing, police case, etc. you read my mind! Na serious monkey they work o since your biz is picking up small small, face your front small small Oga it's better for you

Wish you the very best in your venture. Peace.

PoliticsRe: FG Provides $100m For Exploration Of Oil In The North by devour129: 9:11pm On Apr 02, 2013
MAYOWAAK: The eternal reliance on oil revenue has done a lot of damage to the federation. Every day now, we hear the Niger Delta people say “our oil, our oil”. During the petrol price hike crisis in January 2012, some Niger Delta person, trying to suggest that the protests were unjustly aimed at President Goodluck Jonathan, said something like: “If our son is not good enough to be president of Nigeria, then our oil is not good enough for Nigeria.” This warped logic—which tends to paint oil as the solution to all human problems—defies the fact that the most advanced countries in the world do not rely on oil revenue. Even Norway, the poster boy of successful management of oil revenue, survives on tax. Their oil money is saved largely for the rainy day.

But do you blame us? Why do we need to stretch our brain to dream of building our own Microsoft and Apple when we can look up to Abuja for the flow of petrodollars every month? Why should Bauchi bother to tap its tourism potential? Why should Bayelsa dream of feeding Africa with its FADAMA rice when there is a fat FAAC cheque to be collected in Abuja monthly? Why should we quicken Ajaokuta so that the fourth biggest steel company in the world can begin to operate fully and spice up the economy? Why should Aba be developed into our own Taiwan or Japan? There is no such incentive. The only incentive I can see in Nigeria is federation account.

It wouldn’t even matter if we are utilising federal allocations to develop the most important resource at our disposal: the human capital. Oil is not the real deal, no matter how dominant it has become in our lives. It was human beings that designed cars and made petrol as important as it is today. Human beings are now designing cars that run on bio-fuels, electricity and solar energy. By the time the cars become popularly accepted, the demand for oil could drop. It may not happen in the next 50 years but it would happen someday. So the wise person does not keep emphasising on oil and ignoring human capital. The wise person thinks about a future where our lives will no longer depend on oil but on the quality of the brain. It was human beings that invented aeroplanes, computers and phones, etc. If we are wise now, our energies should be devoted to getting out of this oil trap.
you have said it all ! Minds like your is what we need in Nigeria

FamilyRe: About Married Women And Male Friends by devour129: 3:14pm On Mar 28, 2013
coogar: of course, he's supposed to be the mixture of the incredible hulk, batman and superman all rolled in one. what do you women take men for? where's the time to babysit a partner when there's work and issues to attend to?

this is why i always advise my mates to always go for women with a high self-esteem and the ability to be alone. women who constantly seek a second opinion on the colour of undies to wear are potential emotional cheats.....

i agree technology has drastically changed human interaction in the last 10 yrs but most married women have the emotional make-up of a 13 year old girl. the short absence of their partners is a valid excuse to log on facebook and seek out a buddie to fill the void.
I get where you are coming from
FamilyRe: About Married Women And Male Friends by devour129: 1:30pm On Mar 28, 2013
coogar: because women often ask more than any man can give......
the man has to be a man, he must work to bring the bacon home and provide security for the family. when exactly is he meant to sit down with wife and start bursting tales about the turtle race with the hare?
he is meant to be all of that and also the lady can help to.
FamilyRe: About Married Women And Male Friends by devour129: 1:27pm On Mar 28, 2013
To be sincere av been guilty of that sometime ago, caught up with my uni friend at Texas some years ago and we started talking everyday,I noticed that unlike before,I always try to accommodate and forgive my hubby when he does anything but I soon as I met the friend,I stopped giving excuses for some shit men do,I couldn't wit for my hubby to leave the house and when he keeps late nights I don't bother calling cos am busy on the done or skypeing with the friend.it was as if there was much much more peace at home cos I do my job as a wife and everyone should be happy with that.to cut story short it was a peace before a storm.thank God I was able to cut all that out of my life.please ladies ,I know we have self control but don't push it ! And men talk to your wives, let her be your best friend and women let your huusbands be your best friend and you will never be alone. Now I gist everything with my hubby even the sillest of things.luv ya all and happy Easter in advance.

Foreign AffairsRe: North-Korea In Combat Posture To Hit US by devour129: 8:57pm On Mar 27, 2013
Kay-Dee:
The US will be secretly wishing that none of these hot spots (Syria, Iran, Mali and N.Korea) boils over the red line; they would rather not get into any senseless war, they are not ready for another one (psychologically / financially). They haven't recovered from the Iraq-Afghanistan fiasco, the economy is still very shaky, they can't even pay returning and wounded vets, 10 yrs after the Iraqi invasion, people are still outraged that they got into it in the first place; but if it comes down to the 'come down', they wont hesitate to delete North Korea from the world map.

. . . . . and as long as we have troublesome countries and terrorist who may one day just decide to nuke themselves and take the whole world along, I don't mind having the US do world policing duties.
GBAM ! Some body has to do the dirty work and USA is doing it.this is the only way there will be sanity in the world.

But I hail you self control. Please, move on and let her be.
I hail his self control and that means that he got her message clearly ,I think he should have just told her straight he just doesn't want to become intimate immediately but want to build something strong first

FamilyRe: What Will Make A Single Lady Date A Married Man? by devour129: 1:55pm On Mar 25, 2013
ARES: yep, i am not going to generalize, but there are really good women out there and there are just world class bi.tches out there as well, when this 20 year old gets married one day and down the line, some 20 year old starts riding her husband, she will come to nairaland and cry like she is the victim, forgetting that karma has no menu, it just serves you what you deserve.
And to the men, i have realized that when a man is faithful to his girl/wife, other men just thinks that he is a fool, they call him all sorts of names and this really baffles me,i wonder why people can be so proud in their ignorance and stupidity
they call them woman wrapper like its a bad thing to have self control. Av seen ladies throw themselves at my hubby and its so pathetic,I was brought up well and I took that to my hubby's house and pity any lady that tries shit with my family.

Prof Corruption: You understand this issue no be small. OPC and everyone issuing statements know the game.

The Yorubas can not wage a successful insurgency in Igbo land except the locals support it. Similarly, the Igbo can not launch same in SW except the locals are in support. BH is largely successful because it's an insurgency being ferociously waged by the sons of the soil. Once you don't allow their base to stand in SW, it's destroyed already.
