Now Jega has suddenly become a bad and dishonourable person? I hope it won't be “get elected or die trying“ for Jona in this case.

Now I have finally made my choice for 2015.

Thank you Seun for reducing our dear Nairaland to the league of Naijaloaded and Naijapals in your desperation for traffic. To the mod that pushed this garbage to FP, you either a bigot, uninformed or both because I don't know when Fashola was appointed to be distributing PVCs.
How is nairaland supposed to be different from othr traffic seeking hungry blogs? When you can just post BS here, spread rumours, give wrong info and whip up unhealthy sentiments from a section of the public. I'm a lil bit gutted.

jeffmyson:
Who are those that will be violent? Where will the violence take place? My friend be careful for what you wish! You might wake up one day in a refugee camp in ghana with a plate standing in line for food from the UN or WFP, only then will you realise that "there was a country" which you destroyed by yourselves.

We have an INEC that is prepared for election in your their dream! More than 20 Million PVC are outstanding, contracts for election materials were just awarded last monday (68.8 million units), you will have to receive them and distribute across the country within 10 days, you have 960,000 adhoc staffs to train in 10 days and you have card readers that have never been tested by INEC which they intend to use for the all important general elections.
My brother INEC had four years to prepare for this pool and now we are hearing all manner of stories! Jega has failed! Let him take more time and get ready, we are happy to wait! We don't want an election where anyone will contest the results! It will be crystal clear to the whole world.
Its quite funny you feel there won't be protests especially with the cloud shrouding the postponement issue as a ploy to favour the incumbent.
And concerning the stats you have given well I'm sure Jega was aware of all these before stating that INEC is ready for the polls.
20 million PVCs out of how many? Public holidays have been declared for a second time in some states to allow people collect PVCs,or are the cards gonna be delivered to peoples houses and shops? The only valid reason I see for any postponement is just logistics, pvc issue is just being overflogged.
Politics › Re: INEC To Decide On Poll Shift Saturday by Dexema(m): 3:34pm On Feb 06, 2015
Nigeria risks widespread violence if postponement is considerd. Hope d plan is not to wait for widespread protests after postponement then use dat as an excuse for interim govt BS.

It is a constitutional requirement that each candidate show his or her certificate. Everybody has done so except Buhari. Buhari can get hold of a copy of his certificate if he contacts WAEC office or Cambridge University. What's stopping him?
Its a constitutional requirement that they show their certificate?? Pls be sure of whatever you write oo! And by the way do you have your own waec CERTIFICATE? Not statement of result but certificate.

Politics › Re: North Under Siege Because Of Buhari —gov Lamido by Dexema(m): 8:23am On Jan 22, 2015
otil1:
The only binding force in the south is not religion. It is a collective desire for progress and modernisation.

The core north has been indoctrinated differently, unfortunately:

Things like 7 virgins, almajiri culture, "ba kwomi" belief system (i.e. Fatalism) operating under their system of theocracy are docrines used by the norther elites
I would wanna agree with your point, but situations that bring the south together as a unit are very rare (eg) GEJ in 2011 and I'm beginning to think we blew that chance @ building trust and working together.
Politics › Re: North Under Siege Because Of Buhari —gov Lamido by Dexema(m): 7:57am On Jan 22, 2015
liberty300:
It's painful seeing southerners supporting buhari. The north has always conquered nigeria by turning the south against each other by first; getting in the heads of the Yorubas and instigating them against the rest. Starting from the war, census and election, the north always turned the south against each other.

I know GEJ is not perfect but who is. The man put wonderful policies in place that we just should have patients for them to bare fruit.
Am not a tribalist but the forces working against the south are too many. We should learn to stay together and say "no" to the north. They have ruled us for more than 35 yrs and decided to form apc after they removed northerners from power

Think!
The south was never united in the first instance.
Even culturally check out the amount of ethnic groups, different languages and lifestyle principles that exist in the region. The only binding force in the south is religion which is not even strong enough in a land of very “opinionated“ people.
