Nigerians braved the rain to protest the
murder of George Floyd and to call for an end
to racial injustice.

The protest was organised by the Black Lives
Matter Movement in Nigeria (BLMMN). The
convener, Josephine Okpara, stormed the
streets of Victoria Island, Lagos, with other
protesters.

https://alexis.lindaikejisblog.com/photos/shares/5ed5540891031.jpg

They carried placards with words such as
"Black Lives Matter" and "Justice For George
Floyd" written on them as they condemned
the killing of African Americans in the United
States of America.

https://alexis.lindaikejisblog.com/photos/shares/5ed55177974f7.jpeg

The protest comes after George Floyd died on
May 25, 2020, after Minneapolis officer Derek
Chauvin knelt on his neck for nearly 9
minutes during an arrest.

https://alexis.lindaikejisblog.com/photos/shares/5ed551af3c972.jpeg

Speaking on behalf of the group, convener,
Josephine Okpara said the US must put an
end to “white supremacy and build local
power to intervene in violence inflicted on
black communities by the state and
vigilantes”.

https://alexis.lindaikejisblog.com/photos/shares/5ed551da04087.jpeg

Nigerians across various social media
platforms were not impressed by the protest.
They mentioned that we have more pressing
issues in the country to protest and they
criticized the protesters.

I'm shocked beyond belief the list doesn't include Joe Frazier.

HealthRe: Share Your Sleep Paralysis Experience Here. by Dextre(m): 8:06am On Jun 01, 2020
CaptainFM1:
You don't know what sleep paralysis is. It doesn't happen while you are awake. It usually start like a dream, but while your brain wakes up to the reality of it, your body is still being held back. You want to come out of the dream, but the body is still being dragged to it.

Often it's usually about life and death dream. Your brain comes out of the dream but your body is being dragged for atleast 10 to 30seconds while you struggle physically and spiritually to rip yourself out of the dragging/pulling forces that want to take you to the other side.

When you finally open your eyes, you would know you have fought a battle. You will usually see evidence of your battle with the forces. Most times, you will see excessive sweat....and it doesn't matter if the AC is on 16degC.

The battle is not when you wake up. It is the few seconds that your brain wakes up and your body is held back. Now that your brain is woken it needs to do something so fast and so drastic within that short period they are dragging your soul. Most people call on their supreme spiritual being at this instance. You just need to settle that scores immediately your brain wakes up lest you cross over.
Bro sleep paralysis happens when you are awake pls,its like this, you wake but your brain is still sleeping, you only see all these hallucinations if your brain was dreaming when it happened,if it wasn't dreaming you don't see anything( this is where your theory comes in). I have had sleep paralysis, where I wake and I can't move my body, like I will literally be looking at my ceiling and bed but can't move my body and after lying for a while,my brain wakes too. I never for once saw myself going to heaven or being chased,I see real things in real time,I just can't move. Sleep paralysis is basically paralysis when falling asleep or after waking up,that is the definition. So as a matter of it does happen when you wake. Sleep paralysis doesn't start from sleep realm,it starts with you waking up,all those once people see,is when they are already awake but their brain is still stucked inside dream..so those things come out as visions or hallucinations
HealthRe: Share Your Sleep Paralysis Experience Here. by Dextre(m): 10:38pm On May 31, 2020
IceColdVeins:
Medicalnewstoday.com defined sleep paralysis as a feeling of being unable to move, either at the onset of sleep or upon awakening. The individual's senses and awareness are intact, but they may feel as if there is pressure on them, or as if they are choking. It may be accompanied by hallucinations and intense fear.

In Icecoldvein's opinion, sleep paralysis has a plethora of arguments surrounding it. Researchers uphold various scientific hypothesis that represent sleep paralysis as a biological phenomenal, some even insisted that it only happens when your brain wakes up a few seconds before the peripheral nervous complex (the neurons in your body parts), which in turn triggers slow responses to the brain's information by body parts. On the other hand, Spiritualists maintained the notion that sleep paralysis is designed by demons and can only be remedied spiritually.

I used to have sleep paralysis a lot until it stopped, when I embraced some spiritual antidotes.

Below is still the scariest sleep paralysis experience that I ever had......

I heard my ex's voice yell a threat at me, I was scared and tried to get up, realised I was six fts below ground level with a shiny grave moulded untop of me. And suddenly, the skies changed from it's astonishing high resolution filters to the dreadful black and white effect, as it coughed a heavy thunder down my grave....My mummied body immediately knew it was in for it......I tried fleeing from the horrifying dream, never knew a worse comeuppance awaited me. I was thrown into a solid 40 seconds of sleep paralysis.... before I opened my eyes, hissed and mumbled 'Una papa. I don wake up'

Dear NL,
What are your experiences and beliefs about sleep paralysis ? Your inputs may put some people experiencing it at ease.

Kindly share!!
This una story here nor be sleep paralysis..some of y'all need to pray grin grin. In sleep paralysis,u are suppose to be awake but without control of your body simple..all this I went to hell,I went to heaven,I was been chased..dese are dreams

FamilyRe: HELP! My Brother Is Too Dull by Dextre(m): 7:18am On May 30, 2020
Gundel001:
Hi good day my fellow Nairalander please I will really need your experience about this issue. Please help me read to the end as it is a little bit long.

My junior brother is 14 years old and to be sincere I haven’t seen anybody as dull as him. I don’t know if it is natural but I just can’t understand why someone at that age could still be struggling with very simple arithmetic. My brother can’t write 1 – 150 correctly at 14.

He seems too dull; note he attends one of the best private school around our area, though I know you might say maybe education is not his way but even if you want to drop out from school you should know some basic things like money, time, multiplication and so on but my brother doesn’t know anything I must say, even to write his name correctly is a problem. It is making everyone unhappy lot of money is being spent on lesson teachers and other things for him still no improvement.

I am a student of one of the top federal University in Nigeria same as my other siblings even at both secondary and undergraduate level we were always above average so I can’t say his problem is genetic. I really wants to know what is the problem with him nairalanders. After I finished secondary school I once taught some pupils in primary school though there were dull ones too there but with time I could see improvement unlike my brother i always try to teach him from time to time but it kind of frustrating as he doesn’t even seems like he will ever grab anything and he doesn’t behave like he wants to learn anything.

He makes it seems as if he is not interested book or arithmetic at all …we all tried talking to him endless time to always read any time he his less busy but he never does except he is being forced.

He rarely talks, he loves to keep to himself always, he doesn’t have interest in anything unlike we the others that are die hard football fans, most times my mom will tell him to even go out to play and mingle he will not still want to go, he prefer to stay at home seating all day without reading or doing anything, even if it is to draw or play football he wont.

This matter is not making everyone happy at home we don’t even know the solution to his problem again, as in imagine having a child that is 14 years old that doesn’t know the difference between 17 and 71 it is just so bad…..

We don’t know if his case is mental or spiritual. please nairalanders I know there are child experts in the house or anybody who have experienced something like this before what do you think is the problem and possible solutions to the problem your contributions are welcome.

Please help me push this pleaseeeeee
He just might be autistic. And there is no problem with that, there is always a way to get through to him. You just have to be patient with, study him and try to figure out how to get through to him

I know it's hard to figure out how a country could thrive on one sound and still be globally considered music giants as compared to you guys . it's called uniqueness, every genre has it's market worldwide..and afrobeatz is gaining ground massively outchea. Funny how the African mind and mentality works.

Once again, every body is thanking "God" for the works of fellow brilliant human beings. If the baby had a permanent skin defect, people would say it is the work of village people or transferred curses or better yet, a punishment from "God" as a result of a sin committed much earlier and suggests she goes for "deliverance" or intense spiritual guidance.

Now that she has used medical science to solve the problem, as Usual God takes the glory while the doctors and pharmacist are relegated to the background.

We really need to work on our mentality for the sake of the next generation.

We need to shed this ultra religious superstition which we hold dear and embrace scientific knowledge. Only then can we progress forward.
Bro I understand what you mean but don't say it like that. Let them thank God,we don't do it for the glory...we(doctors) are only alive because God made it so. When I treat patient successfully,I thank God too personally. God is the one and true healer
