Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by Dfavouredone:
Risk management is an important aspect of life.

Whether it is this month or not, NLNG will surely call one day. To reduce the risk of losing out completely if you aren't call, I will advise potential GTs to find some other potential GTs in the recruitment process to negotiate and sign a "minimum damage agreement" (MDA).

MDA is just a legally signed agreement that if I am call and employ and u weren't call , I will give a certain percent (maybe 10%) of my pay for certain period (maybe 1 year) and vice versa.

And if both of them are called or if none of the them in the agreement are called, then nobody pays anybody.

A pretty way to ensure you gain something no matter how the die is toss.

wink wink

They did.
Thanks for the confirmation.

I needed to ask you that question openly bcoz some few other people are yet be reimbursed but are skeptical about contacting NLNG.

If you don't mind, u can share ur experience from contacting them till they finally reimburse you for those guys yet to be reimbursed to take a cue.

Nice to hear from you.

Have NLNG reimburse you after you contacted them?

Let us all be patient cos at the end anyone that make it will forget all he/she might have gone through as soon as they hammer you the first salary cool cool cool
While others have aptly noted that it is not all about money but a satisfactory process.

I need add, what then happen to those who didnt make it at the end, cos they as well have put their decision on hold because of this recruitment, maybe for them they will never forget all he/she have gone through.

Shouldnt we be considerate to all?

NanaF:
Well, another angle.
But also remember forkaddict's hint of 60.
I think more than 60 people received the "recruitment in process" mail.
What does forkaddict knows grin grin grin After all he is not the father and knoweth not the day of rapture, not even the season. wink wink

I don't think resumption is what causes anxiety, the question is "when will we be finally notified of the outcome (good/bad)?"
Maybe we don't need to worry about notification. Everyone who wasn't dropped during the last regret mail MIGHT just all be taken (maybe in batches) except they fail medicals.

This is my wish and prayer.

Q3 huh You mean we should wait till Sept. 2016 after waiting this long. Jesus!!!

Which way NLNGhuh?
The lady said everybody has been reimbursed. That doesnt mean you are lying, it mean by their knowledge and record they have reimbursed everyone.

So get to them and make your complain or else you re OYO.

Had same issue and I had to call them on phone, it took about two weeks of multiply verification but eventually i receive my alert.

Hello fellas.....pls I need u guys advice....I have just nabbed a job with a firm that plans to send me to China for one year training after which I would come back and work for them for 5 years under bond. However m very sceptical as my mind tells me NLNG may beckon soon...,,
First, congratulation bro.

How soon are you expected to commit to accept the offer, if you can delay accepting the offer to watch out how NLNG play out, then do.

But otherwise, accept it. You know a bird at hand is .....

A company that offers to train you outside the country for a year must have a comparatively good package.

Some people also had this challenge before whether to go for their msc or not; they have gone, completed it and back yet NLNG is yet to conclude the recruitment.

If you can delay the offer fine but if you cant, then accept it as you re not even sure if NLNG rapture, you will make heaven. shocked shocked shocked

People please let's be smart and not ask for specifics. You can infere from kaitung & forkadict information that probability of dropping from now on is little and the next communication is this month.
That is adequate enough. No specific date needed, it'll drop SOON.

I say it was tough because it requires a lot of hard work not compared tto what we are used to in Nigeria. If you wanna transition into a permanent resident in this country, youve gotta follow certain rules like keeping a job for a certain period, which is usually 1 year to be eligible to apply under the Canadian Experience Class CEC (you can read up on CEC online). many jobs; especially oil field jobs (white or blue collar) require you to put in lots of overtime. I had to work 12 hours a day for six days a week not stop for a period of 5months. It is really stressfull plus youve gotta brace up for the weather if you are required to work outside, which is really really cold (as cold as -30 to -40 degrees) up north Alberta.

Now i studied for 3 semesters in total out of which my folks payed for two semesters. i remember i took a summer semester off to go hustle in Alberta for 4 months in 2013 summer and I literally worked for 12 hours everyday from monday to saturday, as a landscape labourer. It was a really tough job for tough men only. but I made my tuition fees within that period ($8,000) while i was paying rent and other bills and I still had enough money saved that lasted me thru my final semester back in Ontario. I must have made $14,000 during that 4 month summer break but i spent it all on my tuition fees, flight tickets, bills bills bills.

Good news was that in this part of the world, there are lots of job opportunities that pay well, but only wise people can manage their finances because everything around is expensive too. There was no way i could have had a legit job in naija, without connections, without being the son of a politician or a crook and make take home after taxes $14,000 in four months
Inspiring experience. Please I have a four years visiting visa to Canada, but I just do not want to visit and return to naija. Though I know I can only stay up to a maximum of six months per trip in canada on a visiting visa.

So, I am cooking up a plan and need some advise and input about its feasibility from you and other guru in the house.

Here is the plan, I want to travel to Canada on my visiting visa and then apply within Canada to convert to study permit (I already have Canadian admission on post graduate diploma - project management). The duration of the project management course is one year, after which I can apply for a post study work permit.

My reason for wanting to apply for a study permit from within Canada is to reduce the finance I need to show for my upkeep as I am sponsoring myself and to hustle a little during the six months visit to raise more finance to support what I already have to show as evidence of financial capability when applying for the study permit visa from within Canada.

Thanks.

Hmm be this honest is ur greatest gain. I know you would done that not bcoz u re a LovePeddler but probably out of attraction and love.

Now you felt badly hurt bcoz the guy who u thought suppose to conceal the fact he have u without struggle now throw it on your face, whether you ask him for money or not.

Now you ask for what u should do, and this what I think you should do. As long as the guy see you as someone who virtually throw herself on him, he won't value you. So in your best interest and for your self esteem leave the relationship and God will bring someone who will love and value u.

And for those ppl saying why did she ask for money, don't yourself GFs ask u for money, do u insult them when they asked? If don't have or does not want give u simply say so rather abusing her.

As much I will really want u to stick with us for our good, I accept ur decision to stop commenting on this thread.

Because some men like prelinctus, scarletdp, ceetee and some others have become grossly ungrateful and even now bordering on insults.

Please secure ur God given job, but Pls don't unfollow the thread as I will want you to celebrate with us after the 'rapture', the same way we celebrated with u.

And just you know that not all of us are ungrateful of ur labour of love. Those who are for u are more than those who are against you. We appreciate and celebrate u, see u soon in 'paradise'.

Pls fellow GT let's show fordadict that we appreciate his effort so far by giving him many 'like' on this post.

Thank u boss, I concur.

Yeah Yeah, whatevs. You wanna compare someone who made sure some other person got an A.C invite to someone who keeps saying this is not the week. Pardon me but I'll prefer the person who posts once in Jan and tell me the mails will drop in December to someone who keeps posting 100 this is not the week all year round. C'mon even I can do that...
Guy abeg relax, I don't know what you stand to gain by trying this hard to disapprove artmedia. The gentleman is giving as much info as he can and the least we could do is appreciate it. Or do we think there are not some ppl who have some privilege info and refuses to share.

Well, it is an understatement to say that we're all tired of this wait.

Grumbling on NL will little help us now. So what can we possibly do?

I have a suggestion.

We should all individually send a passive non-aggressive email to NLNG recruitment email: Recruitment.Online@nlng.com requesting for an update on the AC. I think if we do this collectively the huge volume of inquiries on thesame subject can make them atleast say something.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by Dfavouredone: 5:34am On Jan 20, 2016
My thought:

So much emphasis have been placed on the need to forget the past and move forward; I think equal emphasis need to be made on the importance of identifying the past in clarifying the present and predicting the future.

Caveat:

Apply not just to NLNG recruitment process but to life in general.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by Dfavouredone: 8:54pm On Jan 18, 2016
At the current oil price, Nigeria can still produce oil and make profit, though at a reduce profit margin than before.

This is not true for some country like UK, that why you hear of large amount of job cut in the North Sea than in Nigeria or Angola.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by Dfavouredone: 8:45pm On Jan 18, 2016
On what basis do you predict an oil price of $10.

That is absolutely impossible as production will be practically unsustainable at that price in many most oil producing countries. Come to think of it, it'll be better for the oil price to just fall to such ridiculous price per barrel to create a acute short of supply. This will resonate in a rapid raise in price.

The price has hover around $28.5 for the past 4 days. With the Iran news, i expect a drop to about $25 in coming week.
