Toks gearbox are good but u get only 1 week warranty. I've fixed toks gearbox that lasted over 3 yrs before I sold the car, I've also seen someone fox told gearbox that lasted just 1 month. U never know the condition in those gearbox sinve ubwrr buying them used. There's nothing better than rebuilding when done right.

When done right! That's where the problem lies. Rebuilding transmission isn't a joke, every city has its 'transmission guru' all fingers point to. But take ur time to go and investage deeply, u will find out people are pouring money inside gutter. I spent weeks battling two of the best and most recommended gurus in my city, and interacted with their clients afterwards, its tales of woos for 2004+ car owners. I rest my case here. I don talk my own.

when a gear is rebuilt the right way, bro it's more like u bought a new gear.

I have witnessed a 39k Kia carnival auto trans so-called repair in owerri, by the so-called "owner of gears" even while he was "repairing it" (washing stuff upandan with fuel and changing fibre) I already knew the outcome. the vehicle still moves today however, it's not nearly as fast as it used to, plus several delays in certain shift points). Moving uphill is a task that requires you downshift to 1st gear

When we reported the case, he said it will adapt.... since 2010 till now e neva adapt.... na village run arounds we dey carry the vehicle do now. Personally, I'd prefer a rebuild over a swap.... when it comes to transmission but it has to come with warranty.

So If u have a by broken transmission today now, you either buy toks or park the car till kashifs kingdom comes. Its ur choice. Me I dey enjoy my toks gearbox as if I just bought a new car. Warrantee is another story for another day.

For the exterior.... U forgot to add the most important..... No matter how dirty a car looks, all u need is some good shade( or sunset), the right towel and lots water. Forget any soap, except u gat engine oil stains.

I have used both options on two cars, on both occassions, the toks gave me my monies worth and satisfaction. Trying to repair bad gear is like trowing cash into the gutter. Thats my own take. BTW... The idiots that fix gears are not 'mechanics', they do more damage to ur engine components when moving ur gear. Thereby incurring more cost and future repairs. The last mech that fixed a toks gearbox for me is an angel, not a single item was damaged nor a strange problem popes up. Unlike the gearbox idiots that must damage ur power steering cups, several hoses and several belts, clips and etc just because they are not interested in ur engine but on the half-dead gearbox. Imagine paying 35k+ for repairs and they damage items worth 15k+ and still refill the gear with that useless oando dextron II which happens to be their favourite

The choice is urs.
