This is a 1964 article: read and digest the root of the current destabilization attacks in the south of Nigeria to weaken the people: The problems we are having in this country today didn't start today. *Statement by Mallam Baba Garuba, published in the December 30, 1964 issue of the _West African Pilot_* "The conquest to the East is now in sight. When our god-sent Ahmadu Bello said some years ago that our conquest will reach the seashores of Nigeria, some idiots in the South were doubting its possibilities. Today, have we not reached the sea? Lagos is reached. It remains Port Harcourt. It must be conquered and taken after December 30, 1964. I remember when the NCNC and the AG were boasting about their daydreams of snatching power from us. Today, their great brains are in our bags. Imagine such personalities as Akintola, Benson, Davis, Akinjide, Olowofeyeku… I still hope that it will not be long when Okpara, Adegbenro and Aminu Kano will come to beg. Osadebay and other Midwest leaders are halfway to us. As for Awo [Awolowo], he will spend the last days of his term of imprisonment there for his inordinate ambition. *Some southern fools must understand that to suggest secession after their defeat is suicide for them.* Let them think about all these things and understand the implications in secession. a) Where is the Nigerian Military Academy? b) Where is the Nigerian Air Force Base built? All these are up here in our region. After the election, we will call upon our leaders to make a Northerner the leader of the Nigerian Army. Those who propose Ironsi are daydreaming. After the next five years, those Southern so-called educated fools must realize where they are. *Once we will be able to connect the Bornu Railway with those of our brothers in the neighboring countries and from there to Egypt, we can allow secession to take place.* Our exports could be sent through that way. Thanks to Allah that the Kanji Dam will soon be completed. It is up to Tarka to come back or face what we follow when we achieve our aim. We must do anything possible to win the coming Jihad. But we must keep our weather eyes open on those from the West as they could do anything at any time. *Immediately we win, we can lose some members from the West at any time. We must not take things for granted.* With our 167 seats in the North we can go it alone. There is no need sharing the post of Prime Ministership and Presidentship with anyone. *I have a genuine fear that we keep the posts and then concede some important ministries to Yoruba members.* The time has come. We are going to show these intellectual fools that we are only in the morning of our leadership of this country. We try NNDP in the next five years and see whether they will be too forward and ambitious as the ungrateful NCNC and AG. If some still doubts that we haven't conquered our way to the sea let him go through these facts. a) Who is the Prime Minister of the country? b) Who is the minister of Lagos Affairs? Is Lagos not our capital? Our only obstacle are the Ibos. They have played their card. They will sink." _...reads more as a manifesto than a history_ COPIED. |
Bigchristo:Police in the area would be first deactivated before the attacks. The Islamists would then operate with nobody challenging them. Once they are done and gone, police or army will kill or arrest innocent civilians in the area and say they were the gunmen. |
Jonathan39:Jihadists on the prowl in the south. Unfortunately, fewer people in the south understand what has been going on in the south each time the Jihadists struck. Their objective is induce lawlessness in the south, divide and conquer the people in order to get a Nigeria to be governed with Islamic Sharia criminal justice system. |
fergie0o1:Wow. What a hooping number of inmates. The Islamists attacking government institutions and armed forces personnel all over the east have done it in the west. They do that to attract the armed forces of Nigeria to the areas they attacked. The armed forces shall then kill more civilians in pretense that they are searching for the attackers. How to fight a Jihad using terrorists and government institutions. |
HonNL:When the ISWAP/Boko Haram fighters attacked and set prisoners free in Imo state, nobody challenged them despite the fact that the prison was very close to Police headquarters, with a military barracks near. Oyo state must be careful before the Buhari cabal drafts Nigeria’s armed forces to the area to kill innocent civilians. The mortuary in Owerri was filled by tens of innocent civilians murdered by soldiers after the Imo prison escape. We are on how to fight a Jihad by government using terrorists and government institutions. |
Johntoye:You are wrong. The killer husband is Yoruba. |
Good job. Igbo governors are playing and waiting for the day Buhari cabal appoints one of them the next president of Nigeria. Buhari coup in 1983 was on stopping Alex Ekwueme, 'the unbeliever' from succeeding Shehu Shagari as president of Nigeria. To undo Olusegun Obasanjo, 'the unbeliever' president in 1999, the leaders of the 12 sharia states of north set aside Nigeria's 1999 constitution, adopted sharia criminal laws not supported by the constitution. Waiting for Buhari cabal to make Igbo president to succeed Buhari - waiting for Godot.. Meanwhile, Buhari govt has repositioned the INEC, armed forces leaders, DSS, EFCC, Judiciary, Leadership of Legislative Houses, Governor's forum, etc to enable Buhari cabal make whoever suits the cabal as next president of Nigeria in 2023. |
Mysticwebb:They are all mischief makers, vanity writers and enemies of the Igbo who publish nonsense online to draw a war between Igbos and Nigeria's armed forces. They knew that those unknown gunmen have no business with IPOB. IPOB has severally announced its suspension of sit at home order, and threatened to deal with those imposing and supervising sit at home orders on the east. Yet everyday, these mischief makers and miscreants associate IPOB with killings by Boko Haram and ISWAP/herdsmen in the east, and the sit at home supervised by Boko Haram/herdsmen in the east.. |
The unknown gunmen they call IPOB/ESN have no b business with IPOB/ESN. IPOB leadership will not dare endanger the lives of Igbo people. Herdsmen and Boko Haram people are on lose in the east. |
In Imo, President Buhari would have also commissioned the Nigeria Infectious Disease Control Centre of the southeast zone if honesty has not been sold in the market place of politicians. With fanfare, gov Uzodinma, Tiempiriye Sylva and NNPC boss, Mele Kyari, laid the foundation stone for a 200 bed Infectious disease hospital in Imo state teaching hospital Orlu in June 2020. $1.2 million was earmarked for the hospital. Today, more that a year and three months after, not even a block has been added to the foundation stone. https://en.gaskiatv.com/business/nigeria-nnpc-seplat-to-build-200-bed-infectious-diseases-centre-in-imo/.

According to Hope Uzodinma : Igbos want to join the party at the national level (APC) to play politics at the national level. My question is: did this Hope Uzodinma attend secondary school? He reasons like a semi-literate person. |
What else does one expect from a state governor who is already decimating the population of people in his home area after he brought Nigeria armed forces to fight in the area? Impeachment loading for this governor who thinks it's easy for Abuja to rescue him when his people revolt. |
He lied that his government would defeat the Boko Haram fighters. But he knew that he is in support of what Boko Haram is struggling for - a country ruled by sharia penal codes. |
Wow. Anambra people, look twice. Look at a neighbouring state almost ground to a halt because of imposition of governor.. It's a clash of CIVILIZATIONS that is going on in Anambra state. APGA with Soludo is of the type of civilization that Anambra people embrace, while the other is of an imposition by a civilization that majority of Anambra people resent. |
Tetrahedron:Oh yes, it's restructure politically before 2023 - or die for Nigeria. |
lalasticlala:But the guilty will always run from security authorities. The justice system in the US is plain upright when it concerns a matter like this Abba Kyari's. |
Doraty1:For Akintola, the history of political leadership of Nigeria must start from 1999, not from 1960. For him, we must discount the more than 28 years of northern rule by Nigeria through either soldiers or civilians of northern Moslem extraction. Well, blame politicians from southern Nigeria who don't seem to see that it's the turn of the Igbo in the east to succeed President Buhari in Aso Rock. |
bluepanther:So long as all the projects are to be done outside the state capital. The state capital of Imo state is the most over-pampered state capital in Nigeria, if not in the world - at the detriment of other places in Imo state. Example: seeing these red sand roads in Mbano here and seeing the well-paved roads of Imo state capital, show that Imo govts abuse locations outside the state capital. |
oluwaahmed:Don't place Sunday Igboho and Nnamdi Kalu on the same table. Sunday Igboho and his Yoruba nation campaign is aimed at telling Fulani/Hausa people that, if the Fulani does not make a Yoruba to succeed President Buhari, Yoruba shall constitute a nuisance for Nigeria. Nnamdi Kalu is out to separate his region from Nigeria. |
BLAISECAMPAORE:President from north after Buhari we know. Not Tinubu. E go happen for una korokoro eyes. Field BAT as APC presidential candidate, PDP shall field a Moslem northerner as presidential candidate. Election day, about 90% of northern voters - from Benue to Borno and to Sokoto - shall vote the PDP candidate from the north. Only SW shall vote BAT. Buhari's successor emerges from the north. Most shophistiwretched lot. After OBJ and Shonekan from the SW, una no consider the SE worthy to benefit from rotation. In your own dictionary of roation of Nigeria's presidency between the north and south of Nigeria, rotation between north and south for you people means rotation of the presidency between north and Yoruba. |
jaelz:Good girl. BokoooHARI Police no de use eye see a man with a girlfriend in a flashy car. They can shoot out of envy and religious conviction. |
Most people of northern Nigeria shall find this photo of these women basketball players without hair covered, and parts of hand, exposed as revulsive. Nigeria's president and Information Minister, for example will not look at the photos twice. That's one of the abracadabra about One Nigeria. siofra: |
Ogbuefi2020:After 8 years, with Igbo as VP, a northerner shall win again. Nigeria's 36 states political structure with 20 states in Fulani-led north does not permit Igbo or Yoruba or the minority tribes to win presidential election in Nigeria. OBJ and GEJ presidencies are from political aberrations. |
WHY NORTH CAN RETAIN PRESIDENCY. East, West and Northern regions formed Nigeria at independence in 1960. From 1967 to 1996, Northern military dictators proliferated too many states (19 states + Abuja) in one region - north, through wrong use of land mass as criterion. There should have been equal number of states between the three regions, because land mass or population is never used as criterion when creating new political units in a country formed by different regions. North in a democracy thus draws excess number of political representation to the NASS and FEC. With the electoral laws saying that a presidential candidate must win 25% of votes in 2/3 of the 36 states, a northerner must win every presidential election. |
Southern politicians give license to these northern politicians. Is one Nigeria a must? The 1914 amalgamation must end now. |
NewFolm4:What other facts do we need to agree to the fact that Nigeria is run by sympathizers to Islamic terrorist organizations fighting for a Nigeria to be governed by sharia criminal laws? |
akanke79:...while the oil and gas money goes to developing your almajiri poor areas, abi? |
Ruby5:He could not even asphalt the road in his village. Noise maker. |
NORSYK:Shame. When did burials become a competition for individuals? |
KillMNKnow:Lol. Yoruba nation agitation is subterfuge to force Fulani to deliver the presidency to a Yoruba in 2023. Few talk about Oduduwa Republic among the agitators. |
Abokis in 12 sharia states adopted Islamic sharia laws. Boko Haram is fighting for the same laws to be used in all of Nigeria. Boko Haram and the Taliban have same objective. Even the US and GB could not defeat Taliban. Taliban is now making Afghan soldiers surrender as the US and Allied troops are leaving Afghanistan afterr losing more than 3000 soldiers in 20 years of war against Taliban. The Kalus and the Igbohos in the south saw the bleak future for Nigeria; why chase them upandan? Why not the 12 sharia states prepare for their Sovereign sharia country? |
.. but Nigeria's Intelligence services t can't locate Boko Haram hqts in Sambisa forest in more than 10 years till now.. Who is fooling who in one Nigeria? Fulani-led 12 sharia states fooling others. |
