CareerRe: Does It Mean Dat Studing MATHS As A Course Will Make One End Up As A Lecturer by DisGuy:
In nigerian universities, are there career advisors or a section of the library dedicated
to providing answer on career choices and options
or perharps do the lecturers in anyway help students understand what they can do with their courses?

there are so many questions like these you wonder if apart from blabbing out hand outs and notes to students, do lecturers actually advise or chat with their students on non academic stuff?

shemy: Can a friend view the property on my behalf? "Is there possibility of prices crashing down later. Most accomodation are to be shared and not ensuite, na wah o. to share property with people not known before get as e be. Also, i will love my kids to come over to see me at least once before finishing the program , will this affect the kind of accomodation to get?
probability of price crash is NIL, except you are looking to buy, rent prices are going up or staying put
Most accommodation are different, students usually dont mind sharing accomodation with other students, part of being a student right?
If you want a three bedroom all ensuite, you can get them, you can get a semi-detached if you want

these questions are entirely upto you, these are things sqaurely in your hand and you pocket
InvestmentRe: No Share Certificate From Honeywell Since 2008 by DisGuy: 11:21am On Apr 20, 2012
dkings101: I bought the honeywell IPO during 2008 when it first came out. Since I left the country, no share cert was sent to my designated address. Am back now and I noticed dividend was paid but I never received any also. How do I go about claiming the certificate?? Who am I to contact? Is it the Lead Issuing House or the bank where I bought the IPO? Would they still have record of the transaction. I need an advice thanks.
Have you got the proof of purchase, receipt? If you still have the booklet/brochure you can check who the registrar is then call them or visit to ask for you certificate

Or contact the NSE helpline who should point you in the right direction

novaman: We need club with proper board of Directors, proper account and nothing less than 40,000 registered supporters, we need clubs that is supported massively by the people living in the city where the club is situation; this is possible, we have to tell our leaders. The state can actually keep 10% and subdivide the club into 10 or 20 units and ask different level of people to buy into it; the club since it is owned by the state is also a property of the people, and if they need to know how it could be done, just ask me
ask you?

and you are. . . .? what the name of the last club you managed or owned otr worked with (in real life not on paper/PS3) grin

shemy: How easy is it to get acccomodation,is it better to get through online agents or to search for apartment on getting there? Which apartment is better becos my hubby and kids will surely visit while there?
Accommodationg is easy especially in university towns, as long as you book early and have firm agreements; remember you will be competing with thousands of other students too

if you are contacting online agents you should be contacting them to make enquiries only, and perhaps phone numbers of people you can speak to, dont pay any deposit, just to get information, get a rough idea of where it is how it looks (if there are pictures) and whats included

you first point of call should be your university accomdation officers, they usually have a list for agents or properties advertised through them, some are verified others are just general advert so whatever the case, speak to them on the phone and arrange viewing the apartment when you arrive

honeric01: why should they buy Eyimba when we have clubs who are dying for new owners?
hmm probably because it will be an investment, abi you no go wan make money, win trophies and make money at the same time o grin

if one person buys Eyinmba, more people will be interested and will definitely go with smaller clubs they can mould and have a long term investment
most of these clubs rarely make enough money what with low attendance, skewed television revenues, litigation prone sponsors

money miss roads no plenty for naija like that, the few one will rather invest in hotels and night clubs

if/when the league is flushed like the stock exchamge more money will come in from everywhere South Afria, North Africa

he might not be that incompetent he's just seemingly out of his depth on this one,
PoliticsRe: Okorocha Sacks Ohaji/egbema LG Boss, Accuses Him Of Incompetence by DisGuy: 3:05pm On Apr 16, 2012
aguiyi: when you say someone in imcompetent, is means he could not perform a task well, i really would wish to know the young mans offense.

i dont see fairness at play at all,no querry, no memo or even fair hearing, how do know when personal issues are transfered to official ones lipsrsealed lipsrsealed
If you cant do something as simple as harmonising a report that would be presented, chances of you being able to do anything well is pretty slim imo

ITbomb: i dont know too much about IMO but considering its called 'transition committe' I'm guess he put them up/appointed them himself so no legislation is required for moving them along.

ow11: I watched the highlights of the Heartland/Enyimba game on Naija made (Which btw, I think is doing a good job in promoting the
One more thing, Can the NPL ban the single ownership of two clubs in the same league? Dolphin/Sharks, Rising/Sunshine stars etc. . .Those games can never be derby games! Following this, I quite agree with @Mutu Ya Chuma! State ownership isn't a very good model
somewhat agree with this, bet way to notice is this when one of the clubs are facing relegation or teams hunting for a spot on the continent whilst its counter is in a safe position on the table

As a an of Afonja Warriors and ABS i noticed some winkwink result last season
SportsRe: Nigerian League Fan Thread: Enter D Place N Know Every by DisGuy: 2:25pm On Apr 16, 2012
honeric01: You cannot afford Enyimba the 2 time African champion, go for the likes of Jigawa GS, Akwa united or any other "insignificant" premier league club.
Bros, no person own Man city and Liverpool ni?

pronblem is this club are bottomless pits you can say what they own and what they owe as debt, even their tag as former african champion doesnt count for muc has tehy have no real accounting records but they have a name, cups full of trophy, stadium or even two and rready fan/market, so using the price paid by Saraki for ABS im putting them roughly round 1-2 billion Naira club, if you think about it most of these clubs under normal financial terms are debt ridden, owe lots of players, dont actually get money from NPL and the sponsors, even heartland didnt get a kobo from their last cup (according to newspaper reports o)

So 2billion Naira Max oya all d dangotes, e-managers on NL make una open una wallet
