anyone with access to the traffic laws in nigeria
there are very few traffic officers, i think the govt can create more employment through this alone, they can even be self funding, all the revenue the collect from suicide drivers can be used to pay their salaries- |

Politics › Re: Pension Cartel ‘rakes In N3.3b Monthly’ by DisGuy: 3:52pm On Feb 29, 2012 |
A number of former and serving senior civil servants interviewed by our reporters acknowledge that whereas there have been a multiplicity of projects in the past and even on- going, to fight corruption by eliminating huge payments to ghost pensioners, “these initiatives have merely become justification for the creation and award of contracts, in a seemingly endless journey that only produces phantom savings for government.”
In the recent past, most of the government’s initiatives have been anchored by one Maina Abdulrashid, a very articulate young man with an amazing capacity to survive from one government another.
Abdulrashid first emerged as an assistant director at the Customs, Immigration and Prison Pension Office (CIPPO) and has now found himself in the rather permanent position of head of the Presidential Pension Reform Task Team, (PPRTT).
There is no time frame for his task to be completed and it would seem that once an attempt is made to unravel the taskforce, the media begins to dish out a slew of unsubstantiated reports of savings supposedly recorded by the government.

Car Talk › Re: Frsc Impounded My Car, gave a ticket of 52k as Fine by DisGuy: 3:19pm On Feb 29, 2012 |
Aks: @ mykello - Thanks for the response, I already arranged for the conversion guy who met us @ road safety office. FRSC officials kept saying we should settle ASAP or else they will issue d ticket which they claimed is a new directive. I called their cust complaint no and I was asked to send a mail to an addy which I did inorder to address it cos I complained abt their men asking for bribe and the huge amt slashed on me as FINE. I do hope to hear from them.I think there should be a synergy btw customs and FRSC giving a set date like 3 days after the clearing date of which the car will be declared not roadworthy to give room for delivery of such cars to d owner and subsequent delivery to the techician that will do the conversion.
They can as well ban importation of RHD cars outrightly to forestall this occurence Are you serious? |

novaman: I am so happy some great guys are working on reviving Stores, by ensuring massive fan support, they even plan to avoid financial committment from government, because is becos they want the club to be truly financially dependent; the club will be modeled like top Spanish clubs that are not owned by any individual but the supporters, it will be good to see stores come back in style, the Government should allow the supporters own the club then government support can come by way of security support doubt the govt is preventing them from owning a club |

They should scrap the First and Second choice options! |
Education › Re: Mouau Is Not Forward In Giving Admission by DisGuy: 1:25pm On Feb 23, 2012 |
idmanzik: First, i want to clearly state that it is a Nigerian factor. Why will a University advertise inviting first and second choice candidates to write post-UTME test, at the end of the day only first choice candidates get admitted. This is pure fraud considering that second choice candidates also paid for post-UTME and many end up with high score better than the first choice candidates.
Our Universities need to clearly state their criteria for admission, be it first or second choice. There is need for transparency in the process. very true! |
