Beside personnel, the presidential jet, which has been parked in Saudi is incurring huge bill. According to investigation, airports collect landing and parking fees from airlines that fly within and from outside their countries.
They really need an investigation to know this?

Saturday Sun gathered that the demand by Nigerians for clips of Yar’Adua in hospital should be shown on Nigerian television could not have been granted because of the president’s condition before now. Sources revealed that a close confidant of the president fears that recording Yar’Adua and showing the clips in Nigeria may raise the agitation that he relinquish power to Vice President Goodluck Jonathan, an option the northern power brokers do not want to consider.
What are southerner power brokers doing? Mr Ogbulafor is not a norther is he? why is he not sayin anything
The southern governors are not exactly saying much especially those from the SS/SE

Former Zambia international Chibambo, 21, joined Heartland in September. The former Nakambala Leopards striker has also featured for Zesco United on loan before embarking on his Nigerian adventure.

A foxy forward blessed with great dribbling skills, he has won a cap at full international level for his native country and was an important member of Zambia's Under-23 team two years ago.

"My target is to help Heartland win the Champions League and after that I will move to Europe," said the talented Zambian.

Defender Aziz Ansah and striker Owusu Addae are flying the Ghana flag proudly at the 'Naze Millionaires'.

'Honourable' Ansah is comfortable either at right or left full-back. He has established himself at the club since his switch from Accra Hearts of Oak with whom he has also featured in the Champions League. He is the team's penalty taker with five goals from the spot in the domestic league.

Compatriot Addae, a direct-playing striker, joined up from Liberty Professionals in Ghana. He has so far netted two goals in the Champions League against Black Stars of Liberia.

Bulgarian midfielder, Petar Stanev, completes Heartland's foreign quartet. The ex-Locomotiv Sofia ace has already made history as the first European to star in the Nigerian league.

He was convinced to try his luck in Africa by the club's former Bulgarian coach, Mitko Dobrev, who has since been fired after a spate of poor results.

The quality of Stanev is not in doubt even though he has struggled to cope with the language and the culture and thus made only fleeting appearances for Heartland this season.
how can a 21 be regarded as a former international?
if he is playing in the national cup then the NFL should bring out all the drums they have
finally a home based player grin

Well all you guys sitting afar in other countries, if you did come back to Nigeria and made an effort to improve the country maybe things would be better in the future.

The much maligned Nigeria in its current state is still better off than a handful of countries in Africa and around the world. We just need to right the numerous wrongs.

The same way the past FCT minister was able to improve Abuja, or in which the current Governor of Lagos is improving the his state, will be the same way we will get new leaders that will improve the state of the country. Just need time and patience.

However, we need to change our ways and stop being benighted, nescient, lazy and devious.

Just using the same word people used to describe her, how can you say she's ruling the country then at the same time
say she is uneducated

all in all she is being blamed on a lot of things which is illogical to me, a woman that has no constitutional role is appointing ministers? she is preventing her husband from resigning? she is the one preventing Jonathan from taking over, does this really sound normal

we are actually making this woman seem more relevant than she actually is

What i am really saying is we are wasting time blaming the wrong person (she is not elected/ selected)
we should be concentrating on the AGF and representatives

Radiation oncologists are physicians skilled in the use of radiotherapy, which plays a positive role in the care and treatment of about half of all cancer patients. The incidence of cancer is rising in developing countries, and the IAEA has intensified its programmes and work with partner organizations in the field.
IAEA website

The First Lady, Hajiya Turai Yar’Adua, yesterday in Vienna, Austria, called on the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to promote the use of nuclear medicine and radiotherapy in cancer diagnosis and management.

Mrs Yar’Adua spoke at the 53rd Regular Session of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

She said promoting the use of nuclear medicine and radiotherapy techniques would assist developing nations like Nigeria to develop their capacity for cancer control.

The First Lady said many developing countries in Africa were faced with massive infrastructure challenges with direct impact on the quality of life, a development, she said, threatens the attainment of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by 2015.

Mrs Yar’Adua said Nigeria was committed to her National Cancer Control

Programme as manifested in the approval and implementation of two major projects in the health sector in the current triennium cycle (2009-2011) of the technical co-operation programme of the IAEA

"These include the development and expansion of nuclear medicine facilities in 10 tertiary hospitals, as well as strengthening the existing radiotherapy facilities in six of them.

"These facilities, when fully functional, are expected to provide the very much-needed services to ameliorate the suffering of cancer patients and also function as veritable referral centre," she said.

Mrs Yar’Adua hoped that her proposed International Cancer Centre in Abuja (ICCA) would benefit from the expert services and advice of the IAEA’s Programme of Action on Cancer Therapy (PACT).

The Nigeria team's media officer Peterside Idah refuted claims that the Wolfsburg striker has a shin injury.

"He spoke to us before leaving - he has a genuine case to answer and he will be back tomorrow," Idah told BBC Sport.

"Obafemi is in London, he has a case in court with his agent."

Martins has been taken to court by his former representative Chris Nathaniel who claims the striker owes him commission for deals he worked on for the player.

"The coach was aware but there was some debate over the actual date. Before he left he told us he only had to show himself in court as he didn't want to be in contempt of court.

"Last time the case came up he wasn't there and he didn't want the judge to throw him in jail if he doesn't show up or declare him wanted."

Idah also went on to refute rumours of a bust up within the Nigeria team.

"The talk of a bust up are just not true, we've had a series of meetings with the coach and the players to sort out a lot of things - but no bust up whatsoever," he said.

Sanusi also blamed the state of the capital market on its domination by banks.

He said, ‘’The capital market does not have the depth and breath it required. The problem of the market was that about 70 per cent of the market was controlled by the banks.

“We should encourage the telecommunications companies to come for listing. The volatility in the market was because the banking stocks were responsible for driving the market. From last year when we came in, the only index falling were those of the risk-averse banks. Investors’ confidence came back in August.’’

You cannot add 2m people every 10 years (the size of Birmingham) to the UK without adequate facilities. The UK is broke and cannot afford to provide the additional healthcare nfrastructure for that massive number of people coming in.
You will agree the govt need to deal with illegals first before targeting those taking advantage of the loopholes
You will also have to take into consideration the number of people leaving britain each year

Travel › Re: Cameron: '70 Million Is Too Many. I'll Cut Immigration By 75 Per Cent' (UK) by DisGuy(mod): 4:04pm On Jan 12, 2010
What are the conservatives afraid of in Uk? They cant compete with the challenges in their country? With population of about 62millions and they are frighten. That is shying away from responsibilities and unable to face challenges. USA is the biggest economy with population of about 308 millions and still can manage their country. Also, China and India are the two emerging economy in the world with population of about 1billions each.
Yes, I agree that every country should control illegal immigrants so that they can actually know the number of people in their country and also help in controlling crime rate.
unfortunate you didnt compare the land mass of these countries, you do realise that the UK is an Island right?
You also didnt consider the natural resources available to these countries, its good to have huge population if you can feed them and house them but if you have limited space and resources then you will eventually have a problem.
