Will definitely go to watch race next year....at least British grand prix been attracted to it before scheu left Ferrari...days when poor massa used to get team orders also had a nutter from Finland in year 10 and Yr 11 who worshiped Mika Hakinnen Then got interested again when Rookie Hamilton burst unto the scene!! I only manage to watch Arsenal on MOTD at night that's if they win o! watching Super Eagles and Arsenal = heartache!! though they play some fascinating stuff sometimes!! |

Mohthayho: Please house I just want to ask if anyone has an idea of how virgin airline or Arik treat pregnant passengers travelling to the UK.
Does the passenger have to take doctors report to the airport is it necessary or she can just bone and risk it expecially if the person's stomach doesn't shoot out too much. I have a friend who is planing 2 travel nextweek she is so scared that they dont stop her from boarding.
What do u guyz think has anyone experienced it b4 pls kindly share your view with me please so that I can advise her.
Thanks. check their websites... getting a fit-to-travel document from a doctor is not that difficult except she has serious medical issues |

kentornic: Bloggers! Before You Try To Be Like Linda Ikeji-- Read This First
Hello Nairalanders
I cannot sit on the sidelines anymore and allow so many dreams fall by the wayside due to a misunderstanding of how successful blogs are built.
THE EXPERT MODEL!
The Expert Model, sometimes called “Authority Blogging” simply means you use your blog as a platform to demonstrate your expertise or passion for a subject.
Some great examples of the Expert model blogging are
Tim of Timothysykes.com makes $150,000 Monthly sharing his knowledge of stock trading with the world Josh of Expertphotography.com earns over $15,000 Monthly teaching people how to take cool photographs. He created the blog in April 2013
People like Gary Varneychuks, Chris Garret, Mari smith, Kim Garst, Chris Brogan all have built multimillion dollars empires around their knowledge of how to market on social media.
Alborz Fallah founder of caradvice.com earns over $70,000 Monthly from the blog where he shares his knowledge about cars.
Pinchofyum.com is a blog run by a couple, they blog about recipes and food and earn 5 figures monthly. They made over $32,000 in September alone. They post monthly income report on their blog
I can go on and on. There are thousands of bloggers like them who make a killing sharing their unique perspective on their subject of interest with the world.
We have quite a handful of them from nigeria too, but because most nigerian bloggers have swayed completely to the blog magazine model, we are yet to maximize the potentials of this model.
It’s much easier to find 100 paying customers in a year using a very focused expert blog, than it is to attract ten thousand visitors a day to your blog to make enough money from advertising.
Culled From www.gainfulproject.com/linda-ikeji No Nigerian example of the expert model...?? invariably meaning most bloggers are out for a quick buck from uncle google... |

Would appreciate turning me to the right direction THEY Have robust newspapers industry with varied target audience so most newspapers websites... other forum are very specific sports-football- man utd etc will have stand alone fora rather than one go to site |

Nosyke: I bet this is Arik, those guys can delays one's destiny.......... when you miss your flight you pay through your nose but when they delay/reschedule your flight, they are cool with it. I wonder why the authorities have not come down hard on them. ARIK/AERO.... because they ARE the authorities!!! its the usual 'we are doing you a favour' absolutely little or no competition will be very interesting to see a data showing flight departure times for all the airlines in Nigeria |
Travel › Re: Have You Ever Missed A Flight? by DisGuy(mod): 1:26am On Nov 05, 2014 |
Missed a flight earlier this year, partly my fault partly the airline or the website
So used to booking everything online, even the cab company called to offer my 5am pick up as there might be traffic mbaa, I no gree I chose 6.45 instead, hoping to complete check in on the way to the airport and spend 15mins max.
Na so wahala start o, phone was playing up, couldn't complete check in. got to the airport few minutes past 8..instead of going straight to the counter to do the usual queuing up, I was fiddling with my phone, still no luck, started looking for their self check in machines, the problem was their website!! eventual queued up and was told they can only check me in without my luggage or book next day!
Went to the customer service complained I have been trying to check in since midnight, even arrived at the airport at 8am! she explained they were having problems with their website blah blah promised to check me in only to find out i have huge bags duuh im going to naija! Only solution was to get the flight next day or spend a day in Amsterdam and get the flight next day....didn't want to make the long journey back home since i was already in holiday mood...told her to put it on hold until i can book a reasonable hotel near Schipol airport. Na so I enter next flight o
Guess what!! When i got to Amsterdam the connecting flight was still there, checking in was in 10minutes!! started running to the gate hoping to convince the staff since I had my booked seat and other details on my phone, then theres the problem of my luggage it's just coming out of the other plane and check in will be over before i can get them them transferred. they were very helpful actually offered to send my luggage to Lagos if I check in without them!! it dawned on me I wont get the same customer service in las gidi, visit one office here, one office there, Oga is not on seat etc etc ....
stuck to the plan got the shuttle to the hotel rest my head, went to town briefly, smooth flight next day!
Had horribly experience with Lufthansa 2 years ago, bad customer service, just left slept at the Airport as I only took naija passport |

MallamYahaya: She said her family is coming to join her. It's a flat share. I looked at the options you sent to me. The issue is that it is a lot more difficult to get a moderate place as a couple with a child. since theres no agreement, she just has to chill for you to find an alternative, you might want to consider areas in the greater london areas (with good transport links) you are very likely to pay more than the advertised rate as a family...avoid pakistani landlord if you can |

Goodig33: I got Uk business visa for six months yesterday but I applied for two years visa and I applied for two weeks stay in the application form, MY PROBLEMS NOW ARE: 1. Why did they give me six months but I applied for two years? 2. As the two weeks stay I applied in the form will not be enough, what do I do should I stay more than that two weeks? 1; it's their perogative unfortunately 2; try not to spend more than 90 days, perhaps you should make a (stronger) case for long term visa when applying the next time |

735i: He sought opinion… I gave him mine…. He already has cognate work experience from Nigeria… and its safe to assume he wants to return to Nigeria to work. If you're suggesting he stays back in the UK to do "charity" work; … Factor in the cost of living and the fact that he could actually land a paid job in Nigeria when he gets back….. well… what can i say…it's his decision to make... Was he aware it was unpaid work before he applied? If the answer to this question is yes; then id say he's made his decision already…
What i'm saying in essence is; there are other factors to consider before he takes an informed decision; not just the fancy job title... The way i read his post, he's finished with his programme, probably has some few months left on his visa...so not necessarily staying back..just filling in with some real work experience... |
