BlueRayDick:Wike doesn't want to be President. Gov. Udom doesn't want to be too. It's all a ploy to pressure the PDP to zone it to the South. And Wike pressured Udom to contest - they have been allies since 2016. Obi's only 'flaw' in the North is where he hails from. If he were Igbo from the South South, he'd garner enough support in the North. But Peter Obi is still the best candidate the PDP has contesting. Of all the others, he's still the only technocrat who excelled tremendously in a previous elected position given the available finances, and he's the only one who has it on his record to have reversed the economic woes of his domain or at least bettered it. Building bridges, stadia, and other infrastructure would not improve the economy, and that's what Nigeria needs - an economic turn around. That's where Peter Obi comes in. if he (Peter Obi) gets the ticket, the only reason he wouldn't win is the voter apathy, in the South East especially. In 2015, Akwa Ibom gave Goodluck Jonathan 953,000 votes and Anambra gave Goodluck a paltry 650,000 votes (I took time to paste the 2015 election results here https://www.reuters.com/article/nigeria-election-results-idINL6N0WW4UM20150331 ), yet Anambra is slightly more populated than Akwa Ibom ( here I am adding the population of Nigeria by states https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nigerian_states_by_population ). The voter apathy is even worse in Ebonyi and Abia States. Throughout the South, actually. Buhari won Goodluck by only 3 million votes. Compare the casted votes in the South East to the number of registered voters, and you'd realize how paltry it is. Instead of listening to the intimidation by the North, if you properly analyse election results, you'd know the South's main problem is voter apathy. The Middle Belt vote our way, and they have the population too. If it's not Peter Obi, Osinbajo or Fayemi, we are just voting for the lesser evil. But for economic transformation (which is really Nigerian's main concern) if it's not Peter Obi, we are just shortchanging ourselves. |
budaatum: budaatum:Hello, my ''friend'. Season's greetings from all the innocent children hence who would have otherwise been murderéd in Liberal-backed infanticide, but have been protected by law now. |
VoteTinubu2023:I almost detailed the reply then I checked your username. Pointless really. What's the point explaining to a single-digit-IQ young humanoid (there's no way you're human) who openly campaigns for an ailing geriatric pilfering autocrat when there are credible options like Peter Obi, Osinbajo and Fayemi? One who's madly in love with his own abuser? Not worth it, really. |
DissTroy:Like I said, I'm a Cule for all of time but Madrid and Bayern are comeback kings. Never underestimate them in two-legged encounters. Any slip-up and it's over. |
kingscare1:That's because most of you men lust and follow these digital whóres. I don't on any platform. If they are not adding any real value to the digital space, I won't follow or interact with their content; even block or mute those who post such content. |
hopefulLandlord:- Vinicus is 22, Pedri is 19. - Vinicus is a winger (a forward), Pedri is a central midfielder. - Vinicus has played for Madrid since 2018 in 113 games scoring only 22 goals; Pedri started playing for Barca in 2020, in 49 games scoring 6 (only in 2021 did he become a starter too). - Vinicus has just 3 individual awards (only one is at top level and that's La Liga player of the month); Pedri has 6 individual awards (all at continental and world levels). Pedri has achieved more than Vinicus individually despite playing in a deeper position, being younger and playing way less games than Vinicus as a forward. Facts don't lie. Facts don't respect emotions. Say hi to your colleagues in Clowntopia for us! |
ChristoBam:Deputy Jesus. Vice Krishna. Assistant Obatala. |
donjazet:This is ironically hypocritical coming from Donjazet, the guy who is notorious for seething hatred, holding grudges spanning years - even back to 2013 ( case in point, the Nihilist squabble with you), making a thousand references derogatorily to random people's family members on this thread, and for fighting just about every single person who has ever been active on this thread. It's like Portable telling Kizz Daniel to comport himself in public. |
EmmanuelScott1:Spanish League is a farmers' league? We check head-to-head records Spanish teams versus English teams, check the number of transfers directly from each league to the other and the impacts the players have had in the league they moved to, and it becomes obvious the Spanish league is better. Go down your street and veer off to Mama Musbau's shop then ask her to give you any tomato to stick your nose in. You are a clown! |
homesteady:If you follow the UCL closely, you'd know Madrid and Bayern are comeback kings. Never underestimate both in two-legged encounters. Any slip-up by City and it's over. |
budaatum:This is the very reason you really should submit your mental evaluation report. I stated the Saudi's and key Leftists have been revealed to have significant stakes in Twitter, and pointed out the relation to trend suppression of the Saudi regime atrocities and Leftist bloopers, but your reply is about Trump taking pictures with the Saudis on official state visits. You need help, and quickly too. |
BasedUsername:Are you being sarcastic? French-kissing your granddaughter is NOT a cultural thing. The closest to that is pecks to the cheeks, not a buccal cavity assault. No where in Biden's culture or that if his family is it cultural for his people to French-kiss relatives. Nobody even tried to defend it with this and it wouldn't sail. Biden is an incestuous paedophile, and that's it. People who support him should live with their reality on their morality. |
The more pressing issue about the Twitter debacle most people are missing is, Saudi Arabia and key Leftists have large stakes in Twitter which explains trends suppression and mass targeting of Right-leaning accounts on Twitter. Also, it explains why there are never trends about the horrors by the UAE and Saudi government. All of these is coming after Elon Musk began asking questions on Twitter. Not to forget that Saudi Arabia backed a Joe Biden presidency and the leftists are in and with them. |
ShaqFu:I've posted it here several times and these Leftists have either tried to explain it away or avoid the issue. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IB64NaY-4w Just google "Biden kissed his granddaughter". There are several videos on YouTube , Facebook and Twitter. They are supporting a geriatric incestuous paedophile. |
budaatum:Again, whataboutism and needless rhetorical questions to hide his hypocrisy. The question is, at the peak of Covid-19, you blamed deaths and dwindling economy on Trump, but now, with Covid-19 tapering off and deaths increasing and the economy dwindling under Biden's watch, you don't want to blame the man who french-kissed his granddaughter on stage for health and economic woes. Your hypocrisy always shines through. |
hensben:Deranged hermit! Here's your comment implying that Pep in 2008 had a Barça with "safe finance" and "good squad". hensben:I countered with evidence that Barça wasn't even that rich compared to the contenders (Arsenal was richer), and there were no superstars in the Barça team (except Ronaldinho who got showed the way out immediately). Yet you pivoted with a lie that you never referred to Pep relying on 2008 Barça finance? May drugged piranhas have a feeding frenzy on your bloated body! |
Singapore1:Again, muddying the waters. The issues are about Pep's coaching abilities vis-à-vis Messi's rise and influence in winning games on his own, coach regardless. Let's stay on point not to muddy the waters by deviating into Salah, so I wouldn't dwell on it. |
hensben:Knuckledheaded dimwit, if you had half the intelligence of a cuttlefish, you'd realize my position here and over the years is, Messi is one of a kind and Guardiola is a master tactician. Two truths can exist without negating each other. I reiterate that Barcelona wasn't super rich when Pep took it to greater heights. Here's a list of the 25 richest football clubs in 2008 (when Pep took over): https://www.forbes.com/2008/04/30/valuable-soccer-teams-biz-soccer08-cx_jg_pm_0430soccer_land.html?sh=fa4d1e24ca36 https://www.goal.com/en/news/9/english-football/2009/04/10/1202037/manchester-united-declared-the-worlds-richest-club-ahead-of-real- This lays to waste your argument of Pep coaching Barça when it was super rich. Facts only! Man. United, Madrid, Bayern, Liverpool, AC Milan and even Arsenal (Arsenal!) were richer than Barcelona when Pep took over in 2008. Barça wasn't even top 6 richest football clubs. Yet in your hubris and insane attempt to formulate arguments, shift goal posts and drive into 'whataboutismville', you just resorted to "Barça and Madrid are the most corrupt clubs in the world" nonsense. How does that help your initial stance of Barça being the richest club when Pep took over and Pep having millions to shell out? Do you want me to show you the net spend Pep made in his first year coaching Barça yet he won the Treble? You have a reputation of being the dumbest active poster on this thread, and if Séun were to implement recaptcha as requisite for posting, you'd be nothing more than a viewer. You'd be too dumb to figure out the authentication puzzle. Hensbrain for a reason. |
popizaino:Which is you reiterating what everyone knows: Messi-led Barça dominated that era so much there was little chance for anyone else. Ironically, that prime Ronaldo won 4 UCLs without Mourinho (who hasn't been in any UCL final since 2010). If anything, it's an indictment on Mourinho than on CR. But I don't want to hold brief for the later. The focus is Pep and Messi. |
Godx:This is déjà vu. Some nitwit quotes me with someone anus-generated alternate fact, he gets whitewashed with verified statistics and documented events, next he resorts to quoting me with single alphabets in defeat. Deranged barely-literate hermit! |
Godx:You should learn to arm yourself with facts and figures before quoting me. This is the very reason your father isn't allowed to speak in your village council because he ends up making a fool of himself. Now you are continuing the family tradition. The next time you quote me with unfounded arguments, may God x you! |
Jodera:Bringing up Salah in a debate about the impacts of the greatest players (s) is like sneaking in the Nigerian Civil Defense Corps in a conversation about military might where the Nigerian Airforcd and the Navy are slugging it out. We get it. He also carries guns and can shoot well but don't push it. |
Godx:. Accursed offspring of a mutated newt, Enrique wasn't special. Barça scored 158 goals in all competitions in 2014/2015 and Messi alone scored 58 goals and provided 18 assists. He was the top scorer in La Liga and the UCL. In comparison, Neymar and Suarez scored 39 and 25 goals in all competitions. Under Pep, everyone scored. Under Enrique, only 3 players headed by Messi carried the team. Messi even scored more goals under Pep than Enrique and he didn't have the support of the MSN then. But you'd never know this. Your head would be the perfect gangan since it is empty. |
Jodera:Pep didn't make Messi. Pep has never publicly or privately taken even the smallest credit for Messi's greatest. Instead, Pep would continually tell you he is in awe of Messi and Leo being the greatest player he has ever seen; and has kept saying this even at the other club(s) he managed/manages. Nobody makes players like Messi, Ronaldinho and CR (as much I love to troll him). They are icings on the cakes of any decent coach and team. Messi won an average and drab coach like Luis Enrique the Treble. Simeone would have more trophies with peak Messi, Ronaldo or Ronaldinho. That truth is as certain as Will Smith simping. |
hensben:Barcelona wasn't a super rich team in 2008/2009. Barça came third behind Villareal and Madrid. Pep's only experience was coaching Barca B team. The irony of a Chelsea F.C. fan going on about finance when your club has been bankrolled by a billionaire oil merchant for two decades. Barça has never had billionaire owners, or owners for that matter. No free billions to experiment with; worse even in the 2000's. Yet Pep made that team the most dominant of the decade; making superstars of mostly academy boys. All in just 3 years. Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Pique, Alba, Valdez, Pedro, Villa... |
I'd go with Peter Obi and Moghalu. Both are proven technocrats who have recorded successes for themselves before politics. Moghalu especially has no stain to his name or perceived enemies within and without tribal demarcations. |
Itsrm:You want to know what Wike is like at the national level? In 2013, Wike was Minister of State for Education then Acting Minister of Education. ASUU had gone on strike and the FG called them for the usual (futile) negotiations. Instead of negotiating with ASUU leaders (even with bogus promises if you can), Wike commanded ASUU to resume. Commanded and demanded with threats. ASUU leaders stormed out of that building, and it led to one of the longest strikes in Nigeria: 6 months. MC Oluomo has more diplomacy and finesse than Wike. An arrogant thug at that. |
Itsrm:Wike has the diplomacy and finesse of an Oshodi underbridge thug. He's the kind of president who would ask a reporter, "So you can't say good morning, Your Excellency, first?" on live TV then proceed to pinch her cheeks as a reprimand. A kingmaker? Yes. But he shouldn't sit on such a throne. |

GloriousGbola:Oh. And South West isn't as homogenous as the South South and South East so they won't just vote any South West candidate due to regional loyalty. This isn't being confrontational or showing off but I am involved in a way. The deciding factor for Northern presidential candidates is the Northern votes as they vote uniformly. Northern votes would be split for both Northern VPs. If Southerners are vying as Presidents, the deciding votes would be from the South. And if you think a third force doesn't exist, then it shows how detached you are from the political schemings of 2023. I just gave you the date of their meeting and two involved. Go find out. Check out the names of the persons involved then you'd realize it's a consortium of political parties. Moghalu is also involved. But you can either make random Nairaland speculations or take it from someone with firsthand information. |
GloriousGbola:Really? I don't think you've ever been involved in elections at such levels. Here's the number of registered voters per region as at 2019 released by INEC: NC:13.36 million NE:11.29 million NW: 20.1 million SW: 16.29 million SS: 12.8 million SE:10.06 million SE and SS: Combined is 22.86 million voters to SW's 16.29 million voters. https://www.pulse.ng/news/politics/this-is-state-by-state-breakdown-of-total-registered-voters-across-nigeria/4nr0720 SW has never voted one Presidential candidate since the 4th Republic. Never. Even when Obasanjo (a Southwesterner) was on the ballot. (Do confirm this.) SW vote is split. Tinubu has more opposition to his candidacy within the Southwest to begin with. The best shot the Southwest has of selling its candidate to secure the votes of the SE and SS is Osinbajo (and, to a lesser degree if he contests, Fayemi). The hatred for Tinubu is seething in the SS and SE, especially due to his utterances (and those of his loyalists) to both regions post-2015. Amaechi would rather die than see a Tinubu presidency. Akpabio would rather be decapitated than see Tinubu be the GCFR. And these are just a few APC heavyweights in both regions. The Southern candidates in both the APC and PDP would pick northern VPs so Northern votes would be split. Tinubu has consulted everywhere but he is avoiding consultations in the SS and SE. Ask yourself why? Osinbajo would easily fill stadiums in both, particularly in the SS. He's seen as the lesser evil, particularly from the APC corner. I am no longer a fan of tinubu, but the truth is unless he kicks the bucket like abacha, he is inevitable. Pdp has nothing to offer, and there is no third forceThere's a third force - a consortium of some sort. Their most recent meeting was on the 8th of March (this month). The problem is, the money bags of the third force are deeply entrenched in the system and are holding out their cards for opportunities, while the actual drivers who are also technocrats (though very influential) are not very big money bags to fund elections of these magnitude. Pat Utomi, Femi Falana et al are a part of that third force. A very small part. Formed in 2020. |
