Unlimited22:Dicey given he's already partisan but the APC are already luring Udom with an offer as CBN Governor given he's held positions in that sector, including rising to Executive Director of Zenith Bank before becoming Akwa Ibom State Chief of Staff in 2014. Atiku could convince Udom with the CBN offer I'll be voting PO tho. He's the best candidate on offer.Meanwhile, here's a video of the APGA National Chairman laying a curse on Peter Obi for contesting for the presidency at a convention days ago and before that, scuttling the chances of and campaigning against Peter Obi and anyone supporting him. https://www.facebook.com/100015114936399/posts/pfbid02H2zHMsQyDMcdoDpiJ1r1A6acG2Y3KKL8r41RWNCBSZZbAGkwZZAUzGNBPfHjbQjjl/ While a lot of non-Igbos are pushing for Peter Obi (the best shot at Igbo presidency), the very people at the forefront of thwarting his chances are his own kinsmen, his brothers. Such videos are going viral and people are taking note. But there's a "conspiracy against Igbos and Nigerians hate Igbos" . |
Bimmarlykay:If not for the criticism CR5 got the last time, he'd have replied "factos" to the highlighted part of the comment. |
It's interesting that it's an Igbo man who has a lawsuit that could scuttle the Igbos only and best shot at the presidency. |
kenzysmith:When you are very good-looking as a man, beauty isn't the first requisite you look out for in a potential marriage mate. Beauty doesn't move you as much as it moves ordinary looking or ugly men. And Annie isn't ugly - she's just not as goodlooking as 2Baba. |
PDPGuy:Certainly possible in Nigeria with a few big shots aligning interests. 7 billion naira is less than the bribe Wike gave to PDP delegates last weekend $15,000 x 884 delegates x exchange rate of $1 to #600 7.956 billion naira. |
hensben:Yet after Cruyf, no coach has been able to master total football like Pep Guardiola, much more succeed with it. Heck! Pep has won more trophies using Total Football than its inventor ever did. That's to show you how difficult it is. He is good but overrated hence his success is been questioned. This is why he is always careful with appointment so he will not be exposed, he is a corny person unlike his counterparts who are realistic.Unlike most of your Allen Avenue coaches, Pep has taken only 3 coaching appointments at the senior level and succeeded in turning all to farmers' leagues while he was there, especially the EPL. You can't call a girl who's slept with and stayed loyal to only 3 men at different points a gold digger. Much better, that girl has brought a lot to the tables of those men and never left them poorer. So good all her exes and their relatives always want her to come back. |
Android22:The core issue is, how much Wike and Udom have access to. I provide statistics for my claims (I always do as a matter of fact). And the least I expect was for others to put facts to their counterclaims. Now that all the information is coming out, it's become obvious Wike was to win and Tambuwal stepping down did the trick for Atiku. Also, it's now in the limelight that moneybags aided Atiku's victory while Wike did it all alone. Again, I ask like I did yesterday, how much is Atiku worth? You still can't answer that. On the other hand, I presented facts with figures from BudgIt and other credible reporting outlets that in 8 years, both Rivers and Akwa Ibom State governors can't account for over $20 billion. Guess who control most of that money? Both governors. If Wike could pull and fund the election himself without help from anyone and Atiku won with a relatively close margin, that further explains the amount of money a Rivers or Akwa Ibom State governor has access to. $15,000 x 884 delegates is $13.26 million. (That's the amount Sahara Reporters stated Wike paid.) That's 7.96 billion naira! Wike paid that comfortable and, trust me, that's peanuts for someone governing Rivers State. (Rivers people are silly if they let it slide for a man who hasn't paid gratuities, but that's by the way.) I provided proof of what Rivers and Akwa Ibom States governors have access to yearly. I provided proof of how much in billions of dollars are unaccounted for. (If you want, I'd breakdown the expenditure of each state as reflected in their financial reports and juxtapose that with their gross income so you see the billions unaccounted for, and even breakdown padded expenditures each governor steals from.) It's up to you to prove Atiku has as much money as both sitting governors. Until then, it's just "trust me, bro" and "Atiku was V.P., bro" against my verifiable facts. I deal with facts and logic only; emotions be damned. ![]() |
The same Ohaneze who left Obi to his fate while he campaigned alone? The same Ohaneze who left Obi while it had to fall on non-Igbos to push for Obi? The same Ohaneze who couldn't present a united front and call charlatans like Kalu, Onu and others to push for an Obi presidency? Fools! |
Android22:It was never about dollars only. Personality is involved too. A Wike presidency would have been dicey for a multiethnic and multicultural society given how brash and unrefined he is. I'm surprised that much persons voted for Wike. I was the first to insist Wike has the diplomacy and finesse of an Oshodi Under bridge tout. I stated this 2 months ago before nomination forms were even bought. https://www.nairaland.com/920248/official-chelsea-fan-thread-champions/13681#111506665 Even if he gave a thousand dollars each, he stole the money because he has no industry and more. He's owing pensioners their gratuities and other entitlements. If EFCC were EFCC, how a sitting governor who earns what he earns as salary was able to play 884 delegates $15,000 each should be worrisome. I also insisted from the beginning on this very thread about weeks ago that Udom isn't interested in the presidency but senate and Wike made him contest. The plan was for Obi or a united southern front but Wike became a douchebag wanting more for himself. Here's where I stated so: https://www.nairaland.com/920248/official-chelsea-fan-thread-champions/14015#112646068 . My options have always been Peter Obi, Osinbajo and Fayemi, and nobody else. Not even my own state governor or, worse even, Wike. But do Akwa Ibom and Rivers State have the money which both governors control without question? Hell yes! I provided facts with links. I don't do beer parlour gossip. My modus operandi has always been providing facts in the public domain from credible sources anyone can confirm. I did this for my claims while you all relied on "trust me, bro". If you think there aren't forces northern moneybags behind Atiku then you should rethink what you know about the situation. Serves Wike right anyway. Udom, Wike and other moneybags pushing a relatively saintly technocrat like Obi while insisting on Southern presidency would have been the best option. ------ ----------- [b] "Northern solidarity gave Atiku victory" - Reno Omokri "https://www.nairaland.com/7150704/reno-omokri-how-northern-solidarity Now this is someone who knows how politics really works. Atiku had financial backing from Northern moneybags, including Tambuwal and Saraki. They had a united front. Atiku was most sellable from the North in PDP. Obi was most sellable in the South in the PDP but Wike decided to crave more than just being a kingmaker. And he got taught a proper lesson. All those who voted for him should be flogged. He knows nothing about economy, human rights or diplomacy. Nothing. |
In 2013 alone, Akwa Ibom and Rivers States received $3.1 billion from the Federal Allocation Account. Just 2 states. That amount is about half of the budget of Ghana which is $6.4 billion. Akwa Ibom received the highest which is $1.7 billion. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/162609-exclusive-jonathan-forced-akpabio-back-scandalous-pension-law.html Security votes were not included. IGR not included. Payments by oil-companies and to oil producing communities not included yet. So much so Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala said if Akwa Ibom used only half of its resources, it would be the new Dubai. ---- So, in 8 years, both Rivers and Akwa Ibom States amassed $25 billion from the FAAC. If we add IGR (not all get published), payments for oil coys, security votes and the likes, we'd be looking at $37 billion at the very least. --- If not even up to 50 % gets used properly as the then Minister of Finance, NOI, said then guess where the about $20 billion went to between 2007 and 2015? Now, imagine how much Wike and Udom have gotten from 2015 to 2022? You can either do beer parlour gossip, or base your arguments on verified facts which are in the public domain. Again, Atiku is no match for these people. Not at all. And this is not an endorsement of their corruption. |
PDPGuy:#120 billion is an understatement. If Wike's appointee (not appointees) could steal 435 billion, imagine what Wike has access to? If EFCC were to be effective and without bias to properly investigate Wike and Udom after their tenures, Nigeria would shake. Tell me how many governors have access to private jets? Udom maintains 2 privates jets at the Akwa Ibom State International Airport, and both are serviced by the state government comfortably without fail. Akwa Ibom State has been receiving an average of 260 billion naira yearly (allocation, IGR and security votes) for years now. There's the extra payment by all oil companies operating in Akwa Ibom State which more than 2/3 doesn't reflect in the IGR. There's the payment by oil companies to LGA and communities which produce oil. Logon to BugdIT to view what each LGA receives in Akwa Ibom State from the FAAC monthly, add what is paid by the state, then add payments by oil companies. I have not added kickbacks and payments by Adaz oil, Mobil, Chevron and the likes who operate in Akwa Ibom State. It's on record that 75 percent of oil earnings in Nigeria are not recorded. Both governors have access to monies that would twist your mind. Atiku is no match when it comes to the monies Wike and Udom have access to. |
If only this guy and his cronies know how much damage he has done to the possibility of an Igbo presidency (Peter Obi being the most likely) with his utterances and instigated violent actions, he'd trackback. If only. |
BlueRayDick:Those privatized companies earn in same Naira today and we know them. I repeat, Wike and Udom have faced less of the scrutiny for the public funds they have access to, Udom especially. Less than 30 percent of the IGR of both states are publicly declared. There's a reason both governors have the PDP solidly in their palms and others jumping how high they ask - they have the money to bully Atiku's control. Atiku was a V.P. 15 years ago, these men became governors after the Niger-Delta started getting 13℅ derivative. Not an endorsement of the governor but whatever you think both states are worth, multiply that by 3 and that's the actual figure; and both governors control the resources unchallenged. Atiku diverted $100million? That's like 50 billion today which is peanuts compared to what Udom alone has access to in a month ala International Worship Centre, Overhead cost and a few. Monthly! You want me to breakdown Akwa Ibom State yearly earning and how hundreds of billions are unaccounted for? Who do you think has those monies? With links and all! Again, what is Atiku's networth, or the valuation of the companies he owns or his cronies? Juxtapose that by the monies Wike and Udom have access to monthly. But both have somehow managed to escape real public scrutiny. Atiku can't beat the monies both governors have access to. Not in his dreams. |
Android22:Tinubu's main enemies are within the South West. I can name 6 of his enemies who are heavyweights. Even Buhari campaigned in the South South and South East - areas Tinubu hasn't visited because he's hated there and doesn't even have billboards up. Osinbajo, on the other hand, has visited these areas and has billboards up, along with some other APC aspirants who aren't from these areas. Show me one Tinubu campaign organisation in the South South and South East. Just one. Osinbajo has several of such. Wike and Udom have enough money to match any candidate per se. Not their monies per se, but their states' monies. Heck! Do you know how much Rivers and Akwa Ibom State earn from allocation and IGR? Not even up to 30 per cent of the IGRs are documented, and the rest are unaccounted for. Do you know how much one LGA in these states earn monthly from the FAAC, state allocation and oil-producing communities earnings? These two have funded the PDP without fail since 2015, and funded PDP elections in various states too. How much is Atiku worth? Just 2 days ago,the EFCC declared Rivers State accountant general wanted for 435 billion fraud. Do you know how much Wike has access to? If you have been to Rivers State, you'd know many of the supposed illegal refineries aren't rudimentary, and are owned by people in power - people in the RVSG. Atiku is trying by all means to placate Wike but Wike knows he (Wike) has the money and the structure to go head-on against Atiku. Atiku knows this, offered Wike a V.P. slot in January this year but Wike turned it down. |
[quote author=budaatum post=113222481]We are talking about a specific wiki page that ben mentioned, though in his fashion he did not provide a link as evidence of his claim! Can that specific page not be edited? /quote] If it is not locked, then yes, anyone can edit it. Also, all edits on Wikipedia have edits histories with details of who edited, what section they edit and at what times they did so you can check if someone maliciously edited a page or section. If so bots or admins would restore to previous editing. I'd mention that Wikipedia is pro-Left in many ways. There are many pro-Left topical pages you can't edit. |
budaatum:Not all Wikipedia pages can be edited by anyone. Some are locked depending on your access and expert levels which gets determined based on your editing activities over time. And until 2 years ago, Wikipedia didn't put the edit button in the frontend. Also, you have to be an expert to create new pages and your work would be vetted before your page goes live which I bet on everything you can't do. |
Elder0001:You are no more than the urchins huddled around newspaper stands on busy road corners in the mornings while everyone else is scrambling to work. Urchins whose opinions are based squarely on the voices in their head and "trust me, bro". You posit Peter Obi is weightless in politics and I presented verifiable facts of why he was instrumental in polling votes for the Atiku ambition in the South South and South East, proof of which anyone can confirm; and your reply? " Cap". Sit certain arguments or discussions out. You should focus on arguing with the beer parlour drunks of thread you created. Some issues are beyond you mentally. |
kingBolton:No. The only reason Obi left it late to declare for president is the same reason technocrats like Moghalu left it late. Or Prof. Utomi has abandoned such ideas - Being intelligent and with proven track records in politics doesn't do it for your ambition in itself in Nigeria. You need moneybags within the system behind you or you push it yourself with money you source. Obi knew he didn't have the money even then and only a push for Igbo candidacy (which was being mulled over last year and in 2020) would see the party pull resources to push him. Then Igbo governors like Umahi pulled away and Igbo candidacy was dropped. Soludo, a technocrat, is governor because moneybags pushed him. Being intelligent and sincere aren't enough qualities in Nigeria, sadly. Now he's contesting because what's there to lose, ans what not to gain? He still doesn't have the moneybags in the system behind him. |
Oasis007:If you think Saraki stands a chance then you are Jon Snow. Even the PDP know zoning it to Wike is an automatic loss for the party. Wike's very enemies begin from within the party itself. He has stepped on all but a few toes. Your calculation would have been more spot-on if you stated Gov. Udom of Akwa Ibom might concede to being V.P. to Atiku. That's a possibility which been been cooking for a while now(since late 2020) Udom holds tight to the "Deacon" title (he really is a deacon, by the way), and he's the only PDP governor who has managed not to have any enemy across all the political parties. He's also diplomatic, and as a former Zenith Bank Executive Director, you can easily sell that snake oil of "Atiku would handle the politics, while Udom handles the economy" like the APC did with Buhari-Osinbajo. But it's nothing but snake oil really. -- The main power blocs in the PDP are Wike, Udom and Makinde (who control the entire Southern PDP and many parts of the North) and Atiku. Worse for Atiku, Wike, Udom and Makinde have their interests aligned. Still, economically, Peter Obi would have been the best candidate. |
Elder0001:The only advantage the other aspirants have over Peter Obi is that they are moneybags, nothing else. Wike and Udom are fighting with billions from their respective state coffers, and Atiku's money is from, well, we know where. It's sad that we complain about our leaders being corrupt yet we turn around to mock a candidate who obviously didn't siphon enough public funds to spend on expensive ventures like elections. Again, Peter Obi is the reason Atiku gave Buhari a fight in 2019. Peter Obi was the reason the South South and South East gave Atiku block votes in 2019. If you troll Obi, then you have no moral right Yahaya Bello, Tinubu and the others. After all, according to you, stealing state coffers dry to rub elections equals political weight. |
This same woman who falsely accused a man of sexual harassment last year and had to delete and recount her stance when the evidence was laid bare. No arrest, no indictments, nothing. She just got away with it. |
donjazet:Maybe but if your quest for wealth benefits others, then it's a good thing. As long as you don't break the law. PaySrack and Flutterwave started out as young men diverting into owning fintech startups in Nigeria for their job security (Flutterwave particularly), but that "greed" or "love of money" opened the door for fintechs in Nigeria which has brought in billions of dollars into the economy of the country and simplified and lessened the cost of business payments methods which people like me and millions of others are leveraging on. If more pastors for whatever reason like the OPM man and the late synagogue man helped those in need more with the monies they amass in or from their churches, then we would all be better for it. Imagine all the pastors in churches in every alternate street in Nigeria helped the downtrodden on their streets and beyond. Imagine. |
donstan18:You are asking me to be more concerned about what's devastating your own lands than you who have been all but trolling those who are actively seeking ways to stop this. IPOB is even worse than the Deborah killers. They'd kill for the fun of it and for baseless reasons. Everyone is criticising them. Last week, they murdered a sitting lawmaker (an Igbo and Christian) and beheaded him, and the uproar wasn't as noticed as this woman and kids who were senselessly murdered. The same Igbos (and Christians) who criticized and mourned the murder of that lawmaker now are criticizing the mother and kids murder. Here's a search result for "Simon Ekpa" (the criminal inciting violence in the South East): https://mobile.twitter.com/search?q=Simon%20ekpa&src=typeahead_click&f=top . Noticed how the accounts criticizing him and calling for his prosecution are Igbo accounts on Twitter? Here are a few influential accounts who have been dedicated to attacking IPOB for months, and they are Igbos and Christians: Aproko Doctor: https://twitter.com/aproko_doctor/status/1528663286660620288?s=20&t=qeKPPJwzK1zvb34EhZPT8w Nwaubor: https://twitter.com/nwaubor/status/1528740838007885829?s=20&t=qeKPPJwzK1zvb34EhZPT8w AllaKaduna Nzeogwu (this one is so popular in his criticism of IPOB, Prof. Soludo has acknowledged him). https://www.facebook.com/100075710588224/posts/154797850387234/ https://www.facebook.com/100075710588224/posts/154779373722415/ I could go on and on. --- Statements like yours positing that Igbos and Christians are tacitly turning a blind eye to the woman and her kids murdered by IPOB have been inciting Northerners to call for revenge. Check Twitter and local-search "IPOB". Guess revenge against who? Igbos! Not, IPOB. Continue putting your people in harm's way needlessly. Continue putting your people in harm's way even those most don't support the IPOB terrorists. |
donstan18:.IPOB do not represent the Igbos. This much is obvious. By "your people", I mean " Igbos". You should be the last person driving narratives to malign your people needlessly if you know how the Nigerian sociopolity is setup. Joezinho:The onus is on you to prove me wrong. - Mention people who have been more vocal in their criticism of IPOB than Igbos who are Christians. I mean, real influential accounts on social media. - Mention who has been at the forefront of calling for the deportation of Simon Ekpa, who has made anarchy his stock-in-trade, other than Igbos who are Christians? Again, influential accounts. When you are done, I'd list such accounts across social media, their ethnicity and how they featured on trends table on Twitter. |
Amoto94:Nice try. The terrorist apologist who justified the brutal murder of a girl who harmed nobody or triggered to be harmed and got called out for it so much that he retreated to the shadows has all of a sudden surfaced to indirectly justify his actions of terror support with the inactions of rational people who have stated little. |
donstan18:Lies! Nobody has been more vocal in their condemnation and trolling of IPOB and Simon Ekpa more than Igbos who are Christians themselves. From Facebook to Twitter to Instagram. I can list Igbo-cum-Christian accounts on Twitter and Facebook dedicated to viciously criticizing IPOB daily. Those pushing a petition for Simon Ekpa to be deported are Igbos on Twitter. IPOB violence isn't fueled by religious extremism or even ethnic superiority. It's fueled by megalomania, illiteracy and greed. I am not even Igbo yet I can state this. You don't have to put your own people under the bus just to spit in the face of Christianity. |
hensben:Same KDB who Chelsea turned to an underwhelming Onazi? Pep took him from just another scorer in the Bundesliga to another player in the City then to a beast. He only became a top 5 player in the EPL under Pep, and in the last few years, the best player in the league. You know where else Pep did that in the La Liga and Bundesliga, coaching and managing the best best team of the century at Barcelona, turning Messi, Alves, Iniesta and Xavi to beast. Took a David Villa from just another player to conquer Europe in 2011. Screw it! Under Pep, the Spanish National Team became a de facto Barcelona team. Deny this and they registered the most success. After Pep, it never happened again. Una too dey lie to cover pep. He is a cheque book manager. 12 years no ucl after spending billions and managing formidable teams. He is overrated and football world know this reasons his success is either tie to messi/barca, weak league(Bayern) or money(city). If your neighbour built 2 mansions 12 years ago, just because you built 1 mansion yesterday doesn't erase his achievements. To top that, that neighbour of yours has continued to build both of a duplex and bungalow every year since then which, put together, would be an estate in its own right. Yeah, Pep has built an estate of trophies he owns. |
Griffon:Yeah, Pep is a "cheque book fraud", but he: Sterling and turned him to a monster; He kept Aguero; Kept De Bruyne whom Chelsea rejected and turned him into the best player in the league; Gave Foden the platform and turned him to a starter and the best young player in the EPL; Kept faith in then 20-year-old Zinchenko since 2017. Kept an aging Vincent Kompany and won titles with him; Kept a Fernandinho until he won days ago when he'd be leaving the club. Kept faith in a naive Gabriel Jesus since 2017 who isn't even a regular starter for Brazil, his national team. But, hey, Pep is a " cheque book fraud". |
Havertz10:The onos is on you, the naysayers, to prove there's no supreme, all intelligent being. I choose to call that being God. So far, even the most brilliant scientific atheists have not been able to disprove there's no God, including your late demi-god, Stephen Hawkings. (Funny how atheists adore him like a religious leader.) Heck! There's infighting amongst atheists as to how the world came to me. Some believe the Big Bang Theory and some laugh it off. How do you want to be taken seriously when you don't even have a united and common front? What makes it even more ironic is, atheism has sects since some believe some theories and some don't so you bicker amongst yourselves as to who is more right and which more probable. You know where else that happens? Religion! Like Catholism and Protestantism or Sunnis and Shi'as. So, which of the sects are you? Bing Bang or chemical evolution or which other? |
Capaldi:Easy. You are crossing the lines of civil discourse now. Don't tow the line of insults because you know even there I'd best you with the most mentally-eviscerating attacks. You'd have to choose between civil discourse or head-on lexical attacks. TAgain you keep repeating the same question. The Bible is translated from Hebrew. The Hebrew word for "day" is "yom'. The word for "Yom" means the following: "Point of time (a specific day) time period of a whole or half a day: Period of light (as contrasted with the period of darkness), Sunrise to sunset Sunset to next sunset General term for time ( as in 'days of our lives') A year "lived a lot of days" Time period of unspecified length. "days and days" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yom So, tell me, how does the definition contradict the actual creation story or reality? |
Capaldi:Or that's what you'd rather believe. In the original texts, what it says is the person or identity of God won't change. There are several examples of God changing God's stance. A city being marked for destruction but Lot praying to get it changed. Several examples really. [b] If you are going to critique the Bible then at least study its history and everything related. [/b? Just like Adam and Eve are metaphorically first people. Or the 7-day Creation never being literal days. The Hebrew word for "day" is "yum" which could also mean "1000 years or a long period if time". In fact, I addressed that on this thread last year. As a matter of fact, I explained this as my response to you on the 20th of July, 2021: DissTroy:https://www.nairaland.com/920248/official-chelsea-fan-thread-champions/12071#103909564 DissTroy:https://www.nairaland.com/920248/official-chelsea-fan-thread-champions/12072#103911717 Just like now, you never could argue pointedly and kept asking the same questions even though I replied more than 5 times but you kept asking and copying and pasting your questions. Anybody can confirm by checking the links. Which is why I stated earlier on that there are no real atheists on Nairaland but just antagonising trolls. I'm going to ignore the other parts because I already addressed them and you have no reply other than asking me the same question again. Three times actually. |
Capaldi:Repeatedly asking a question which has been answered in hopes of drowning out or crowding out the initial reply is a tactics I understand too well but it is flawed. You quoted the Old Testament. By thousands of years later around 2 B.C. when Jesus' ministry had taken hold, the same Bible which said kill blasphemers taught to show them love. The same which taught to kill sinners talks about seeking divine forgiveness and Gid being merciful. The same Bible which said to shun non-Israelities taught its followers to embrace and accept people of all faiths and fates, and show them compassion to bring them to "God's fold". See how Biblical doctrines changed over several thousands of years and hundreds of years later Now compare those with the murderous stances and teaching and doctrines of Iislam which haven't chanced in over 1400 years. Are you going to keep asking the same question to drown out? |

I heard the last time they played this tournament was way back and France won it then they waited for Messi to win Copa so they bring it back not sure but i smell agenda.
