budaatum:The worst reaction was Obama last night. Predictably, last night, Obama, the man who led the invasion and destruction of economic powerhouse and successful country, Libya, tweeted to advice world powers and ask Russia to act with "decency, respect, and international laws". Obama invaded and ruined Libya even after Russia, China and neutral countries begged him not to, but he's lecturing others. It's like Babaginda tweeting about free and fair elections, and coups. The height of hypocrisy! Anytime you read of Boko Haram and ISWAP killings, just know Obama and Hillary Clinton, via arming Libyan militants, caused us this pain. Goodluck and Buhari only mismanaged the fallout, but both were never the cause. Same Obama who confessed years later in 2016 before leaving office that "invading and destroying Libya" was the worst mistake he ever did: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/apr/12/barack-obama-says-libya-was-worst-mistake-of-his-presidency. There were no such terror groups as ISIS and ISWAP before Obama became POTUS in 2008. Yet he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Even the Nobel Secretary admitted awarding Obama was a mistake: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-34277960 . Why is Obama still treated like a hero? Why do the media still worship him? Because he's an establishment puppet with the gift of the gab? |
budaatum:Let's begin with France's hold on francophone African countries. The U.S. hold of many countries, and annexation of Puerto Rico and Hawaii. ---- Invading Ukraine is needless and an overkill. But NATO (led by the U.S.) invading and destroying Libya was and is still a stain on its faux morality. They armed militant terror groups in Benghazi, Libya; and those arms trickled into Northern Nigeria to bolster Boko Haram from a ragtag group to top 5 most dangerous terror groups in the world. Even Obama admitted in 2016 that the way the U.S. handled Libya was the worst mistake of his administration. When is the U.S. going to get sanctioned like Russia is being sanctioned? What is good for the goose... The only reason Obama couldn't invade Syria was because Putin/Russia (and China) dared him not to. Interestingly, Obama was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Peace. The most ironic prize ever. You should first understand world socio-politico-economics to know the U.S. set the precedence for needless invasions. I've always insisted on all platforms that Obama is the worst POTUS in over a hundred years with evidence. Putin has precedential justification. |
feedthenation:This is biased reporting. Daily KOS, as stated on its website, is a media platform which supports issues from a race-point of view (actually on black point of view and it's a champion of the BLM movement), and leans towards the DNC. A DNC platform actually. https://m.dailykos.com/about-us . WikiLeaks did an extensive report on Hillary Clinton and evidence that she spied. But if you google the keywords "Wikileaks Hilary Clinton Spied", the search result completely suppresses all WikiLeaks articles, which is proof that Big Tech is biased and never neutral. https://www.google.com/search?q=WikiLeaks+hilary+clinton+spied . All articles against Hillary have been suppressed on the issue. But if you click on this link, you'd find the WikiLeaks documents and articles with the keywords "Hillary Clinton spied": https://search.wikileaks.org/?query=Hillary+Clinton&exact_phrase=&any_of=spied&exclude_words=&document_date_start=&document_date_end=&released_date_start=&released_date_end=&new_search=True&order_by=most_relevant#results . Daily KOS isn't a credible source. It never has been. |
BasedUsername:True. But that was a direct response of the statement that one can't be arrested based on a crime which hasn't been committed. If the intention or the actions done can lead to a crime being committed, you can be arrested. |
Actually, you can be arrested for a crime before you commit the crime if there's irrefutable evidence that there's a premeditated intention to commit that crime. "I've never been to the Whitehouse but the day I ever get close to it, I'd make sure I start a fire. Déath to the U.S." The day I am ever seen near the White House, I would get arrested. Even a video footage of me buying gasoline and lighter then driving away with it can be used as evidence against me. It's up to my lawyer to prove the evidence is circumstantial, but I'd get arrested first. Haven't we heard of "Intention to commit murder" as reason for nailing someone even without the murder being committed or the proposed victim being harmed? |
hensben:Am I? Everything I have stated is platformed on your argument that being "world champions" is more important than anything and makes the club greater. Please hold that thought as we examine it. ------------ The FIFA Club World Cup was established in the year 2000. ~ Corinthians F.C. of Brazil have won in 2 times (defeating Chelsea FC in one of the finals); ~ Chelsea F.C.have won the FCWC just once. Going by your logic, Corinthians doing it twice the number of times Chelsea has makes it twice the club Chelsea F.C. is. Juventus, Inter Milan, Sevilla, Ajax and such clubs who have never won the FCWC are all paperweights compared to the great Corinthians F.C., and shouldn't even be mentioned amongst club football elite. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_FIFA_Club_World_Cup_finals Alright, Hensben, your logic on this issue is the most sound. ![]() |
hensben:Is it always the case? Sevilla have won the Europa League 6 times since 2006 (and 3 times in a row in that period) , yet Atletico Madrid who have won it just 3 times are considered more of an elite or top team than Sevilla. You know why? Atletico haven't lost grip of the Spanish La Liga or other Spanish tournaments, but Sevilla has. Yet Sevilla are champions of Europe whether we like it or not. Very formidable in the continental competitions. Gerrard still gets trolled for not winning the EPL even though he masterminded Liverpool's UCL winning, and has nearly come close to winning but Man. United dominated the EPL in his era. Somehow, Ibra doesn't get as much stick as Gerrard does, but Ibra has never won the UCL. In football awards, isn't it curious that league performances seem to dominate conversations over UCL performances? Even coaches' pedigrees are ranked in order of their league performances. Facts are facts and whataboutism wouldn't make facts less of what they are - facts. |
Theuniverse:Oshiomhole being obsessed with being a champion known globally lost grip of the local politics and got booted to the corner of Edo socio-politics. Amaechi got obsessed with the center and lost control of the local politics to people like Magnus Abe. Chelsea losing hold of the 'local politics' and terming others local champions might make them continually lose out of the EPL. Real Madrid became too obsessed with being champions of Europe that they lost grip of Spanish league. Don't diminish one to raise the other. What's the point of being a community leader when your own family don't consider you a leader to begin with? ![]() |
wirinet:Except you step on big toes and do not want to be found out, or into criminal activities, there's no need to use a VPN. And VPNs drain battery, slows down phones most times and browsing speed. Many people have a moment of inelastic patience where they just login without these tools in the middle of the night or forget to logout before logging in with their other accounts. Plus we have mannerisms we can't hide, and anyone looking well and deep enough can connect the dots. Best bet is to not fake it. You are only anonymous because you haven't offended anyone badly enough to look into you. ------ By the way, what's with the domain on your signature section? You still have plans for it that are immediate? |
BasedUsername:Burner email or not, your user ID comes on only when you access Nairaland through an IP address. That's all that's important. You can login with one account then login with another later but the IP address stays the same. All I have to do is see the 'activity' of the IP address across the internet. Maybe it'd lead me to Twitter or Linda Ikeji Blog... Also - I'm not supposed to reveal this but, when someone sends you a message request from Nairaland, before you accept that request, click on the email notification details: You'd find the IP address and a few other important digital information... Well, anything is possible with that. I'd leave it there. I'm trying not to scare you or anyone else, but even Séun can't tell you you are a hundred percent anonymous on this platform. Do ask him on another thread. ![]() |
BasedUsername:This is based on the erroneous assumption that Nairaland offers full anonymity. Whatever anonymity you enjoy here is a facade. The more you post and get opinionated, the more you leave digital footprints to be traced back to your real identity. Séun might take this down but I'd let you know this: First, it's unlikely you are using a valid VPN to visit Nairaland this minute. Do check the mail you registered this account with; the moment you logged in, Nairaland sent you a mail notification of your digital identity which includes: IP address; Type of browser; Nearest location. It also saved all the times you have logged in so one can draw a digital map of where you have been all month. IP Reverse Search comes in handy. Séun and the supermoderators have access to these information. We all know one of the supermoderators who can be easily influenced over the years... With that info, anyone with good knowledge of cybersecurity can unmask you. Most of you on Nairaland don't know this. But it's fine so you don't get scared. Anonymity here is a myth. ![]() P.S: This comment of mine might be hidden if you draw the moderators' attention to it; or even ask Séun this on another thread and gauge his response. I posit he won't reply. |
basilico:I already stated Nairaland is an echo chamber for sensitive and polarised topics. No middle grounds. People just pick sides and go at it regardless of the evidence negating their polished stances. Twitter is a better place for such conversations. But I understand many anti-Left are scared of being shadowbanned or doxxed to ruin their lives as they use their personal details on their Twitter account. Still, there are alternatives to having rounded conversations on these issues outside Nairaland. |
MrHighSea:Leave the nitwitted NkanAkpanika. I heard the underperforming governor seeks Senatorial seat too. Interestingly he's from my Senatorial District and he needs the blessing of my LGA and clan to get that seat. Interesting times ahead. Oh, and that anointed pulpit pilferer he picked as his successor isn't even going to make it past the primaries. |
NkanAkpanika:Mbo attah unam ke afo ado? Deny it: Are you not the hireling of a low-level SA paid to copy and paste posts made by K. Thomas and the likes in WhatsApp groups? You think we don't know you fraternity-loving mindless charlatans who have done nothing for themselves career-wise and in self-development other than being virtual thugs of ill-intentioned politicians? What skill have you acquired other than perfecting more lies? You can't even write a decent article if your life depended on it. Continue lying to Nigerians while we burst your whitewashing scams. illiterate keyboard-for-hire! |
NkanAkpanika:Ikpa, anie su nam ki iwod? You think I am one of those Nairalanders you media hirelings of low-level SAs can bamboozle with these pictures and statistics? You can't fool everyone. Udom has lived way below expectation given the huge financial, material and human resources at the state government's disposal within and without the state borders. That drainage project is 19.1 billion naira and this is all that is to show for it? The 21-Storey Smart Building has gulped over 15 billion naira and it is still at the state it is? You want me to give you a breakdown of the spendings on that smart building from 2018 till date? Stick to your copy-and-paste duties from your WhatsApp groups. |
mmsen:I must have missed that. Most government media reportage seem to devious exclude that point when they praise-sing the Governor. And the always skip the amount involved. Still, that project is slowly and poorly executed given the amount and time involved. In fact, as at the end of 2019, no gutter had been dug at IBB Avenue. As at December 2022 when most of us traveled home for the Yuletide, the drainage at IBB (the eye of the project) was not even 2/5 done. |
Why aren't you telling the full truth? This drainage project is a collaborative effort between the World Bank and the Akwa Ibom State Government. It is worth about 19.1 billion naira (according to the exchange rate then) and signed in March 2019. I know not everyone knows the details but some of us know the fine details of this project. You are deliberately making it look like it's the state government (and, by extension, Gov. Udom Emmanuel) bankrolling it singlehandedly. It's almost 2 years and the project should be past this stage because the money was released by the World Bank almost immediately. |
qtguru:Most web hosting plans come with SSL certificates added to the package. Just message your web hosting company to correct the issue. It still redirects to https//: but since the SSL certificate has expired, it keeps showing insecured. Or you buy an SSL certificate to add yourself. |
airsaylongcome:Yes, it has. The developer community is very impressive. I dare add WP is one of the main reasons PHP is still popular as a programming language. |
Segedinho:There's one problem that throws what you template your argument on out the window - Lukaku's 'bae' isn't even a BBW in any sense of the word. Lukaku's girlfriend is Sarah Mens. https://otakukart.com/romelu-lukaku-girlfriend/ https://www.instagram.com/saarmens/?hl=en Attached is the almost full-length picture from her Instagram account. But you are right: Arguing with verifiable facts is my headache and I don't posit based on uninformed assumptions.
|
qtguru:Do you still hold the same opinion you posited here https://okeowoaderemi.com/articles/posts/wordpress-to-processwire-a-guide-for-developers/ 7 years ago? I think WP has proven with time it is the best CMS, and with the best user and developer communities too across the internet. P.S: You should consider fixing your SSL or changing the certificate. It keeps showing Error 404 or privacy issues. |
Segedinho:BBW is just a term invented by politically correct and female-pandering media to make fat women who are too lazy to keep fit feel good about themselves. How come men relegate their so-called "BBW" wives (which is in fact fat wives) for fitter and leaner women? And who told you the fat girls you said you like (e.g. Destiny Etiko, Ini Edo and Moyo Lawal) do not regularly go for liposuction and other surgeries to remove fat from different parts of their bodies? Beauty terms and what constitutes as sexy continue to evolve. Yokozunas were once considered sexy in Japan but that has changed. Fattening houses were considered beauty parlours in many parts of Africa but that has changed. Fat is fat; Don't call it "BBW". Bony is bony; Don't call it "model". |
TempUser:Funny how we underrate HTML and CSS yet we run to StackOverflow every now and then for such codes 'cause they are mostly too plenty to memorize. |
Maybe you think just because some persons don't brag or keep the conversations as impersonal as possible, the supposed anonymity is an excuse to be a megalomaniac. Here I was organising and canvassing during the BBC governorship debate in Akwa Ibom which I helped organise on Jan. 17, 2019. Where were you that day, Pocohantas? Trolling on Nairaland and looking to trap any of these men viewing by seeking attention all over Nairaland? Oh, videos are available but I'd make you work for it. Maybe you'd understand why you''d struggle to see a DPO but 'd walk right into the Commissioner of Police's office. Maybe you'd understand why I have reporters of national newspapers and media houses at a moment's notice as all I have to do is send a WhatsApp broadcast. Maybe you should understand why in 2012 as a teenager, the history of my LGA was written and I was listed as a contributor. Maybe you would understand why I singlehandedly built a website for my place and headed the history review team along with seasoned historians from world over and launched the digital version on October 2, 2020. I'm obsessed with community and human capital development. Troll. That's what you know how to do best. But know your place. You still have the to do the Telegram video call so we can record it and entertain these people, remember? I won't let that slide. That hounding you seek would begin. And trust you don't want me hounding you. ![]() [Screenshot retracted at 07:14 GMT] |
Oh. There's a moderator deleting my posts? LOL. Predictable. Most likely Myndless44. But it's all good, I don't refresh pages since I saw it coming. -. Let me help you again. My Telegram username is @disstroyy . Let's do a recorded video call we can upload for Nairalanders to see. Telegram has no filters. Of course, you would run. You have enough time to apply your drumload of makeup and pad your bra, and adorn a wig. I'm just a message or mention away on Telegram or Nairaland. Ready at any time. : The quoted is the only deal I'm offering. I don't even mind you applying your makeup and wigs but Telegram or Whatsapp where there are no filters would be most fitting. ) Again, anonymity is an illusion - you just haven't been found out yet. Best resolve: Converse and interact like you aren't anonymous. |

pocohantas:Are you tired? Thesonofmark? Never have I had to introduce myself on Nairaland. Regardless of the moniker I use, you can tell it's me. Anyone who has been on Nairaland since 2015 can tell who I am. Sad, isn't it? Even as a woman with all your makeup and filter, I still look a thousand times better than YOU do. What next? You are going to search out my names and phone number (it's on the internet anyway) then send me a message and WhatsApp call? WhatsApp has no filter so you are willing do that? Old barren hag! Are you tired of jumping around the family section on the mention of any male who lflaunts wealth or the semblance of it, or posting cooking pictures in your desperate attempt to come off as a "wife material"? Mother Nature cursed you to be the lowest if the lows. Your attempt is to be noticed by the men here. Maybe you'd get a little of the attention life deprived you off. Shameless hating societal dreg! ![]() |
pocohantas:LOL. This old barren hag. Let me help you with my own pictures. The first I took today. The second is my profile picture on Facebook. ![]() Nairalanders who I can mention chat me up with my real phone numbers. I run a digital tech startup of my own. Searching my full names is all the lead you need. I'm a web developer, graphics and UI designer, and brand and digital specialist. Stated on the internet. You'd find my portfolio website too. I ran a governorship election (and the youngest to do so - in my 20s) in Akwa Ibom State and my candidate came top 4 of the 45 candidates who contested in 2019. (He is transitioned into a paying client when I began my tech startup. He's a national figure but let keep it at that. Yes, he knows about my Nairaland use. We discuss topical issues at intervals so please search him out). I helped organise the BBC governorship debate in my state on Jan 17, 2019. I hail from an oil-producing LGA in Akwa Ibom State and, along with other private professionals., help fund trainings and skill acquisition programmes and help network with the companies in my LGA and Senatorial District recruiting these young people to ensure the 50 percent local content. And we do not charge a dime. (All evidence on Facebook). We organised two of such trainings last year. I could go on and on. You're a worthless deranged hermit. If you search on Facebook, you can find full-length pictures of me and videos on me speaking, all on my profile. Anonymity is a myth. ![]() I'd take my pictures down later. [Two pictures retracted at 07:15GMT] |
izzou:What? Are you done? Losing speed? I thought you are on nitro? Are you no longer going to pontificate and justify your foolhardiness and hatred for a woman simply because of her skin colour? Are you tired of rerouting this and turning it into a tribal war to draw the attention away from your tribalism and xenophobia? Maybe Nnamdi Kanu was right - you have a very iZZOUlogical reasoning: You're an irrational animal. ![]() |
izzou:Maybe; But then again, maybe not. Still, we all know you would come third in an IQ test against a sheep and a toad. In your long post of incoherent trash, you mentioned governors appointing non indigenes as SSAs....you never mentioned one as a commissioner. SSAs that governors dash to friends and loyalists.Abia and Imo States have Igbo commissioners and SAs yet are the most backward states in the South on every indices there is to be measured. You should book a thousand therapy sessions with a psychologist - scratch that, psychiatrist. But Dissfull wants us to appoint a woman who doesn't live here to be out commissioner. Not SSA oh... Commissioner.Your brain haemorrhage would require intensive surgery now. We should start a GoFundMe. Sure you still have your cerebrum functional? The crux of the argument you Igbos (mostly Igbo women) have against Nwanyiocha is that she ISN'T Igbo. It's not about her country of residence. Anyone who follows her knows she has stayed extensively in Anambra for periods over the years. In fact, Nwanyiocha has stayed in Anambra longer than Joe Igbokwe or other Igbos who visit once in two years and she's never stated she wouldn't relocate. The funny thing is, that woman hasn't expressed interest in any form of politicking it representation. But the hatred is why a white woman (which you all think is better because oof her skin colours hence shouldn't be given more privilege) should be given anything in Igboland. But Igbo women marry into many politicians or non-politicians homes and taken up positions. SA, SSAs and Commissioners are appointive positions. And she's being highlighted for a position which isn't sensitive to begin with but you would hate because of her skin colour. And you sly halfwit! Don't think I didn't notice you being a coward and trying to stir the "Disstroy against Igbos" sentiment as against "Disstroy knocking Izzou, a xenophobic and tribalistic Igbo boy". I understand it's to stir the herd mentality and string emotions like FFK used to do, and I see it from a mile off. Still, I am taking you on. Cite any example of a non-Igbo resident in Igboland who has been appointed by any of your governors. You can't! You won't! Harebrained newt! |
izzou:You are more dimwitted than a rusty doornail. Everything I have stated, I have backed it up with verifiable references and full names which are public. I have referenced evidence of Igbos in Yorubaland and the South South getting appointments into executive cabinets with dates and periods, and examples of how the Igbos wouldn't do same to others. You are a tribalist and xenophobe who is also covetous - you despise and don't think anyone who isn't Igbo by birth is fit to hold any official representative position in Igboland but directly or indirectly support Igbos holding key positions in non-Igbo lands. Like I stated, we are watching. We are giving the Igbos the same treatment they met out to others. Wike is doing it in Rivers State and his Akwa Ibom State counterpart isn't relenting. In fact, to up the ante, anybody seeking elective (especially executive positions) in Akwa Ibom who is married to an Igbo wife is automatically cancelled. 2019 began that. Let it go round. Even in tertiary institutions in the South South, the norm of Igbos seeking the top positions in SUGs have been put to an end in recent years. Continue the campaign of hatred and ignominy. We are watching and would treat you the same way. ![]() |
DitariDisciple2:Dude, Ijaw is the 5th largest ethnic group in Nigeria while Ibibio is the 4th largest ethnic group. Do your research. And don't bring in the spread of the Ijaws in Ondo, Bayelsa, Rivers, and Delta States as they are tiny communities outside of Bayelsa. Tiny especially in Ondo and Delta States. And Bayelsa itself is very small, in population and landmass. Check the population censuses and communities/ LGAs marked as Ijaw juxtaposed against the ones marked as Ibibio. I could go on with this. This is a debate I have had several times. But that's just an offshoot of the issue being discussed here; focusing on the trunk - why Igbos think non-Igbos (who have either married into the tribe or lived in their areas for countless years and adopted the language, traditions, and culture) do not deserve to take up representative and/or elective positions in Igboland yet hypocritically arrogate or visibly crave (even arrogantly feel entitled to) such powers or positions to themselves in non-Igbo territories - is the crux of the matter here. |
