larride:That was a bait for you as I added that you'd focus in whataboutism instead of the facts. Nobody on Nairaland has ever floored me with statistics. Off Nairaland, I have never gotten it wrong and I am involved in politics at the highest level. I have been part of a gubernatorial election debate team. I hosted the Team Atiku Organisation in 2019 in Akwa Ibom on radio. I am the youngest campaign manager of a top 3/ top 4 gubernatorial elections in my state, Akwa Ibom. In 2019. I have uploaded evidence about this on the Chelsea tread. Local-search "Disstroy BBC debate Akwa Ibom". I have uploaded my pictures (I can still upload more this minute). My full names are known on this forum and what I do for a living. None has been countered. I had the right of first refusal for the Third Force at the national level (after my sterling performance heading a campaign organisation to top 4 of 45 candidates using the Lean Project Management approach) which was formed in July 2020 as the Media and Structural Head. I turned it down. All these, I am not a registered party member of any. Who the hell are you? A nobody. A street urchin. A bottomfeeder who is nothing without praise-singing. An urchin who would only ask "kni baba so?" because you'd never have access to the said baba as you are not relevant with any special skill. ![]() |
Bomboiy:Bode George, Seyi Makinde, Adeleke... I'm just mentioning a few anti-Tinubu power houses (I expect a whataboutism comment about who is who instead facing the presented facts) who were initially tilting for Osinbajo but are now put off by Tinubu's greed. The high population of bonus pith westerners swing votes too. Even in 2011 when Tinubu fielded Ribadu on his ACN platform, he LOST woefully all but Osun State; and the losing margin was very wide https://www.electoralgeography.com/new/en/countries/n/nigeria/nigeria-presidential-election-2011.html Tinubu has never controlled the presidential election outcomes of the South West, unlike Buhari who has his territory on lock even during the Obasanjo era. But political neophytes who can beat their chest to state specifically what roles they played in any such elections are on Nairaland masturbating about how Tinubu would win when he can't outrightly win the South West which is the only place he has any influence to begin with. Facts and evidence prove Ondo, Lagos and Ekiti are swing states that could go anyway. And now Osun under the Adeleke influence. Facts don't lie. Facts don't respect emotions. Statistics trump sentiments always.[/quote] |

larride:With Peter Obi on the ballot in 2019, PDP won Oyo and Ondo States, and lost: Osun: only 17,000 votes; Ekiti: 75,000 votes; Ogun: 87,000 votes; Lagos: 131,000 votes. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2019/02/presidential-poll-state-by-state/ APC won South-West with only 310,000 votes at the height even with the power of incumbency. The 2015 election was simlar. Less than the total votes cast in Bayelsa, the least populated state in Nigeria. But go ahead - keep projecting and speculating based on your illusions while facts like the ones I present hit you in the face. ![]() |
Android17:Or maybe ISIS is the government or something close. There's a piece of news the populace are seemingly glossing over: 24 hours to the Kuje Prison Break, all armed forces guarding the prison were replaced. And this isn't the first time. How come ISIS has Intel on our intelligence activities and orders which can only come from the very top? ISIS are ISWAP's parent organisation, and ISWAP are, according to the army, Boko Haram's sworn enemy. So, how come ISIS freed Boko Haram felons? Because ISIS = ISWAP = Boko Haram. Like Man. United senior team, U23 and U18 - all playing to win the "Terror Premier League". |
If you are born of a woman, quote me. You praise-singers-for-hire who sell out the collective portion of our countrymen for peanuts would continually get it hot from me. If you are born of a woman, get personal and let's take it to any platform. If you are born of a woman, I dare you to mention me just once so you see dirt spilled. It's mid week so I can spare the time now. Enough time to connect dots as your braggadocio have given away too much to connect to your person off Nairaland. Even if you want to be tribalistic, there were better options from your stock you could have chosen - you had the very good option of an Osinbajo with less baggage, but you chose the thieving drug baron with a dubious genealogical history in hopes of foisting on us and expectations of pittance. Pittance you aren't even assured of and which can't feed your relatives. Making a mockery of those who do legitimate business or go about their activities legitimately and sincerely who just want a truly functional country. Worthless brain-shunted urchin. |
Oasis007:Deranged halfwit. Same way you campaigned for Buhari and still propagated his lies even after the elections. According to you, power supply is optimum. FIRS is making more revenue than Niger-Delta oil. Boko Haram has been crushed and defeated. Oasis007:https://www.nairaland.com/3319682/nigeria-uk-sign-mou-return#48937295 Accursed offspring of a newt! |
I'm more concerned about her aesthetic fraud. These females spend time and money in studio photoshoots and over-editing of their pictures then you see them without their pictures and scream. Especially when they are dark but keep editing to look fair. Until I see you without makeup, filters and photo-editing, you are ugly. Including the sex-starved dimwittéd men who put these fake females on a pedestal by feeding them with undeserving compliments and attention. |
larride:Be original. Not all of us depend on sucking the virtûal dicks of politicians like you are known for, more so kleptomaniac drug barons for our daily meals. Some of us have real professions independent of the patronage of treasury thieves and have to put in the time away from Nairaland to pay our bills. Not all of us depend on the benevolence or pittance from the tables of very persons who have wrecked Nigeria to feed. I have to go to work. I have to sort bills. I have to connect with clients. Then when I am done with what's important, I return at dusk or whenever to decimate you and send you to mental hades. Again, you virtual praise-singer for hirer, why do you support a sickly kleptomaniac with a drug-trafficking history? |
larride:The earth would freeze over first. For some of us, Monday morning means rushing to prepare for work while not forgoing other things. ![]() |
larride:I already told you how this works: You in the dock. Anything else is just anything else. Why do you support a sickly kleptomaniac with a drug-trafficking scandal? Answer that and the Ibom Deep Seaport is not an issue from my end. Antecedence proves I never back down from a challenge. Ever. Never would. I don't hold brief for kleptomaniacs or treasury -thieves and would show you links to me exposing my own state governors with little-known evidence of financial misappropriation here on Nairaland. But, first: Larride, why do you support a sickly kleptomaniac with a drug-trafficking scandal, even before the primaries with better options available? |
izzou:There's no we, there's just you sitting in my dock. That psychological public support harness of "we" doesn't work here. You are all alone. So, tell me and the viewing public, Izu, as an Igbo man, why do you support or tacitly support a man whose stooges and family (who mirror his thoughts) support: 1. The genocide of your people ala Oba of Lagos threat in 2015? https://dailypost.ng/2015/04/06/anyone-that-does-not-vote-ambode-will-be-thrown-into-lagoon-oba-of-lagos-warns-igbos/ 2. Of Tinubu who said "We don't trust Igbos" https://independent.ng/we-dont-trust-igbos-again-tinubu-says-after-casting-ballot/ ? 3. Who forced Igbo people to vote Buhari or be sidelined: https://independent.ng/we-dont-trust-igbos-again-tinubu-says-after-casting-ballot/ ? 3 questions. Don't skip them. That's your answer about the South East resentment towards Tinubu. |
larride:You should have your head examined by a thousand psychologists. Make no mistake, you dimwit, you are the one standing in the dock on trial. You are only to respond when I ask you questions: 1. You remarked people are bullying other candidates. I quoted your comment and a comment of you making snide remarks about another candidate to prove you are a hypocrite. 2. Why are you supporting a kleptomaniac with a drug-trafficking scandal? What's your basis for support? Does he mirror your antecedence? |
larride:Take several seats, you freaking hypocrite! I can stomach a brash or controversial persona but being a hypocrite is the worst crime ever. You tried to make yourself seem like the saint who doesn't attack or make snide remarks at other presidential candidates but I stopped you right in your tracks. |
izzou:Antecedence is everything on Nairaland. You are not politically conscious. You don't even know the mood of your own people. You aren't even involved politically offline. We've basically had this this year on the Chelsea thread and I made clear with references and evidence that I am deeply involving in and even organise governorship debates within my sphere. If anyone here is stating what he knows as an authority then it's Dîsstroy. ----- If you think a genocidal threat, kleptomania and drug-trafficking are not enough reasons not to support a candidate then maybe that candidate mirrors your person or desires. And that brings into question the kind of person you are given the candidatures available to choose. |
izzou:Go find out from your people why they háte Tinubu. Get sociopolitically conscious. Don't just be a soundboard for the Tinubu propaganda of hatred for no reason. I am from the Southsouth, from Akwa Ibom - I can confidently tell you why my people and the people of the South South see Tinubu a particular way so go find out yours. It's Tinubu's person, not his tribe or religion. ---- But I'd help you with one or two: The same Tinubu whose stooge the Oba of Lagos in 2015 said Igbos had rather voted APC (Tinubu's choice) or be thrown into the Lagoon? That was a genocidal threat. You expect to be threat my people with mass murder and expect love in return? Remember the Remi Tinubu's comments on election day in 2019 about Igbos? |
izzou:You should ask yourself why the South East doesn't háte Osinbajo? Or why the South East doesn't háte Obasanjo? Or why they loved Obasanjo so much they were detribalized enough to vote him and the candidate he anointed over Ojukwu in 2003 and the Igbo men who contested in 2007? The South East háte Tinubu. But you forget they háte Uzodinma, Okorocha and Orji Uzor Kalu too. Why should you love a kleptomaniac with a drug-trafficking history? ----- Rivers and Akwa Ibom State háte Tinubu for the same reasons - his antecedence, and more. For example, in the Akwa-Cross region (Akwa Ibom and Cross River) while Jonathan had made plans for the partnership with the Akwa Ibom government for the Ibom Deep Seaport, immediately Buhari came on board, the project was frustrated by the FG. No APC candidate in Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Cross River is openly canvassing for Tinubu, and the people know why. No Tinubu Support Groups in these states too. News filtered in amongst the people of this region that Tinubu frustrated the deepest natural harbour in West Africa (Ibom Deep Seaport) to favour Lekki Deep Seaport (which was recommissioned 4 days ago). It has nothing to do with Tinubu's religion or tribe. If you don't understand the mood of your people, ask questions. ![]() |
DissTroy:Longest charting Nigerian albums of all time on the billboard world chart as at May 2022; 1. Wizkid - "Made In Lagos" - 77 weeks. 2. Fela Kuti - "The best of the black president" - 46 weeks. 3. Burna Boy - "African Giant" - 38 weeks. 4. Ckay - "Ckay The First" - 31 weeks. 5. Davido - "A Good Time" - 25 weeks. https://notjustok.com/article/longest-charting-nigerian-albums-billboard-world-albums-chart/ But Ckay is a "one-hit wonder with no album" . "But Fireboy has chased Ckay from the charts". |
airmark:Again, numbers don't lie. Fireboy needed to go meet Ed Sheeran (who's a streaming numbers god) to boost his streams. That's why if you take away Fireboy's remix with Ed Sheeran, his combined streams on YouTube and Spotify for Peru is less than 60 million. And Fireboy only has Peru doing the numbers. Ckay without any collaboration on Emiliana is raking in almost combined streams on YouTube and Spotify of 200 million streams, and dwarfing Fireboy's numbers. No Nigerian song has stayed on top of the charts for up to 2 years but Ckay did it. I probably should throw Boomplay streams in the mix to blow up his numbers. I understand your denial. Most people in the industry are still living in denial too of how a boy without backing from industry giants could come from nowhere to break records. But the records are there. Asides, Love Nwantiti, there are 3 other Ckay songs doing the numbers. All you have to do is check YouTube and Spotify then compare them against Fireboy songs released in that same period. |
airmark:Let's look at the facts. Ckay - "Love Nwantiti" (original and remix) as uploaded on the artiste's streaming account Spotify: 1.07 billion streams https://open.spotify.com/artist/048LktY5zMnakWq7PTtFrz YouTube: 477.2 million streams: https://m.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2JK6aiMx7TIFwkhMjLfyp0lMO1d5jFDC Fireboy - "Peru" (original and remixes) as uploaded on artiste's streaming accounts: Spotify: 200 million streams https://open.spotify.com/artist/75VKfyoBlkmrJFDqo1o2VY YouTube: 104. 13 million streams. https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCvrQdOvBRW-ycBQ32o1BCQw/videos?view=0&sort=dd&shelf_id=0 Total streams Ckay - "Love Nwantiti" streams: Spotify + YouTube: 1. 547 billion streams. Fireboy - "Peru" streams: Spotify + YouTube: 304.13 million streams. Ckay wins since you made it a competition. Numbers don't lie. You don't use one song to place an artiste above more consistent artistes with multiple hits. What's in CKay's discography that will drawn Omahlay's let alone Fireboy's?This is just whataboutism. You countered Fireboy has shattered Ckay's records and I brought irrefutable proof Ckay is on top of the Nigerian music streaming food chain. By the way, even Clay's "Emiliana" has combined 68.325 million views on YouTube and 120 million (original and acoustic) on Spotify. That's a combined 188.325 million streams. Ckay also has the highest monthly stream at 18.5 million. I deliberately left out Tiktok impressions because it dwarfs all African artistes. Ckay does in that regard. I never get involved in debates I never have evidence for. Time has proven if I make a claim, I already have the evidence for it but deliberately withdrawing it. Facts only! |
airmark:The issue was about topping charts and I presented how Ckay has topped those charts. Charts equal consistency. You could as well posit Kizz Daniel's "Buga" blowing up is due to TikTok. Numbers don't lie and when it comes to numbers, Ckay has been up there on the Nigerian music food chain for over 2 years now. About albums; I'd point this out: Johnny Drille has been the face of alternative music in Nigeria for over 5 years now. Household name in his genre. Yet he didn't release any album until September 2021. Ajebo Hustlers have more albums than him. Album do not equal being at the top. There are a gazillion albums released by unknown artistes at Alaba Market. If anything, Ckay has become the yardstick for timely release of music for longevity. Check billboard, streaming and other charts in the last two years to confirm. |
airmark:Ckay a one-hit wonder? Ckay has topped all charts since early 2020 with "Love Nwantitit". Followed up with " Emiliana" in 2021 and several collabos. Staying in the limelight for 2 years and 6 months on the Nigerian music scene and topping all charts without fail is no fluke. Since 2020, Ckay has consistently been on top 5 streams of Nigerian songs. 2 straight years on top 5. Only Burna Boy and Wizkid have managed that record in that period. Give the boy the respect he deserves. And he did it on his own without hype from the industry or a mega label. |
saxywale1:You are going off about nothing. Abortion is conditionally legal in Nigeria. Teh caveat is what I have explained. Of course if you seek to kill a child, you'd go to quacks. But if you have medical cause, you can walk into any hospital in Nigeria with a doctor's report to get an abortion. |
drisham:Actually, it's Ckay if the topic is on Nigeria's biggest new school export and chart-shattering records. |
saxywale1:Abortion is conditionally illegal in Nigeria, not completely illegal. Check Section 228 to 230 of the Nigeria Criminal Code Act. The defense against abortion charge is if it's done illegally without a medical cause. If the life of the mother or child is adversely medically endangered by the pregnancy. That's having to make a difficult decision to keep one person alive so it's justifiable. Almost like euthanasia. Anything outside of that is brainless murder. And it's shameful that people are campaigning for their right to indiscriminately murder children. |
budaatum: budaatum:"Hello, my ''friend'. Season's greetings from all the innocent children hence who would have otherwise been murderéd in Liberal-backed infanticide, but have been protected by law now." |
Kilishihunter:Underestimate the unhinged vengeance of a proper Port Harcourt boy or one who grew up in nearby cities at your own peril. Burna Boy doesn't act like a gang member - he's a gang leader. Same Burna Boy who was so notorious he was banned in the U.K. for gang violence for 5 years in 2011? Or the one who got his gang to almost partially maim Mr 2Kay 6 years ago? |
raumdeuter:The core of those who voted for Trump were not Republicans - just anti-Hillary and anti-establishment, the mantra on which he rode on. A huge percentage of Trump's 2015 votes were Independents who weren't Republican or Democrats. Many of those rooting for Peter Obi are doing so as a protest against the established system. There are countless APC and PDP faithfuls who are rooting for Obi's person but not selling the Labour Party. They are still supporting their party at other levels but rooting for Peter Obi at the presidential level. Mostly as protest votes. That's exactly how Trump won - his person. Significant votes for Buhari in 2015 were protest votes against the state of the nation by Independents and PDP party faithfuls. |
After all the hashtag trending and pontificating, you'll all go back to doing the usual online like debating Lukaku- Morata stats, or pushing geriatric despotic enablers like Tinubu. Nothing is going to change because you are unwilling to really change it. Or unwilling to see any fight to the end. When hashtags are trending, it nothing more than opportunities for situational activists to pontificate, get engagements and following. Nothing more. I'm obsesses with analytics so I went searching the #JusticeForDeborah hashtag which hoped the trends 3 weeks ago. Minutes ago, I checked: No influencer, activist or media house is pushing for it any longer as they've all moved on. https://twitter.com/search?q=%23justicefordeborah&src=typeahead_click Here's the hashtag for the Abuja Train Attack: https://twitter.com/hashtag/abujatrainattack?src=hashtag_click . Dead with almost no engagements. Or the most outspoken 'activists' of the #EndSARS crisis who have moved or monetized their activism then like Rinu, Segalink and others. There are still people on this thread campaigning the very same persons responsible for the Lekki Massacre yet pontificating since yesterday. |
