Theflint1:Oh, because I don't have a one-track mind and believe different truths on different issues can exist? You are the one with a victim mentality. You are the one who has always insisted everyone is out to get the Igbos and is prejudiced against them. All one has do is local-search "TheFlint1 tribalism/tribalist". Theflint1:I do not come on here to seek validation from you or seek to make friends. Never have. That we agree on certain issues (including the presidential candidate we support) doesn't make us kindred spirits who have to agree on issues. We aren't friends or buddies either. We are not. Just people who debate in and exchange ideas. Get that clear. Shelve the tribalism issue everytime and stop orgasming every time Kevin Spacey brings it up. It's a tired narrative. Your victim mentality every time is nauseating. If nobody calls you out, I will. |
GTOkowa:Don't needlessly turn people on each other. Do you believe there is a possible impending ethnic cleansing against Igbos in Lagos as Gbadamosi has stated and reechoed by Donjazet? If you believe so, what are the pointers? Can you reference any precedence or antecedence of Igbo-targeted ethnic cleansing? Even during the (needless) Civil War, at no time did Igbos in Yoruba areas get cleansed. No recount of the Civil War by the Igbos (including by Prof. Chinua Achebe) ever mentioned systematic targeting of Igbos in Yoruba areas. The presidential candidate we support asides, there are lines we shouldn't cross. Genocide accusations is not something you play with for 'likes'. If we didn't point it out to him and drag the issue, many Igbos on this thread were innocently buying into it. |
Donjazet2:One moment, "I refrain". The next moment, he goes out full vituperative. If you had the cerebral abilities of a crèche pupil, you'd see how outlandish accusations of genocide against Igbos are. Even the Gbadamosi has made such outlandish claims in the past which didn't come to fruition. He was even soliciting for funds to buy the Lagos LP Governorship form from majority Igbo internet users. You'd understand it's outlandish. Supply any evidence of ethnic cleansing against Igbos or any other tribe in Lagos. If you can't, you're just an echobox of Gbadamosi's spurious claims without the ability to think for yourself. You claimed you have lived in Lagos so tell us one experience of ethnic cleansing (not clashes) but cleansing or genocide like you have been insisting on. We are waiting. |
Donjazet2:Now you've learnt to be civil and focus on the issue. You began yesterday by insisting there's a genocidal/ethnic cleansing plan against the Igbos. Those in Lagos or who at some point resided in Lagos assuaged your fears (real or feigned) by explaining the man whose tweets you posted as evidence is just playing to the gallery to garner Igbo votes. You wouldn't have none of it but insist it's real. That's a genocidal narrative. That's deliberate fearmongering which could cause palpable tensions. Ethnic cleansing is no joke except there's real evidence or antecedence but there's never been any such example in Lagos. You insist on genocidal narratives because it fits your idea of tribalism everywhere and every time. Relay this narrative and tweets to some least enlightened people in certain parts of the SE and you'd convince them. That puts the Yrouba communities in the SE at risk too and would premeditate ethnic clashes in Lagos and other places. But, hey, you'd push the genocidal narrative regardless, all logical explanations be damned. |
naptu2:Godson Adeyinka arrested for less and jailed in the U.K. Why hasn't Simon Ekpa been arrested or jailed? Why is his Twitter account still up when he's instigating violence and assassinations? He was already violent before Elon Musk took over so why didn't the previous Twitter board ban him? |
Donjazet2:Coward! You are asked to desist from towing the genocidal line because of the violent fallbacks, you insisted. Provided with evidence that a sitting president made same claim against yours, you evaded the question. Next you turn out of the blues to make random accusations of paedophilia. If you search "paedophilia Disstrôy" on this forum, I have you only see three mentions of it and it was of me condemning it. We search "Donjazet/Donjazet2 gay" in this forum, we see countless accusations and evidence of you admitting to towing the gay way and ráping little boys. You even took them to the bushes to "mend" them. Don't project. Not everyone is like you. But since you can't stick to the issue which was/is you ceasing the genocidial narrative and want to divert, I'd help you divert and expose who you are. Even in the climes which accept deviant sexual leanings, you'd still have been jailed for forcing little boys into the bushes and "mending" them. Nairaland Kevin Spacey. |
Donjazet2:Predictable. Out of nowhere mention something insane like paedophilia when I haven't even had any discussions about it to deviate from the point. You are the gay ambassador on this thread. You are the ambassador for transexuality and gender change in this thread and even wanted me to see reasons with all those queer traits when I said I don't align with them. On this thread. It's illegal in Nigeria but it's your life to live as long as you don't force them on the rest of us who don't align. On the American Politics thread, you align with queer and such irritating deviant ideas. Everyone knows this. Halfwit thought I was going to go defensive when he pulled out paedophilia claims? You are the one who confessed to ráping little boys in secondary school. Now, Donjazet2, the hate and fearmonger, why did you out of the blues infuse a genocidal topic and made it about it unprovoked? You've confessed to having mental issues but try hard to stay on point. |
Donjazet2:Nonsense. You ran because you couldn't answer the poser. Simple. If you believed your own words, you wouldn't go about attacking anyone with the tribalism tag because it's their right to do theirs as you do yours. If this is so, none of us should attack Amoto for this murderous fanaticism. After all, he's practising what his religious sect believes in even though not everyone of his religion believes in being extremist. You've called out tribalism a so many times since July. I barely get involved. When it's individual cases, I even supply more evidence to buttress your point. My post history is there to prove me right. But when you go right on to make it always uses tribal references in every debate here and even upped the ante about genocide and insisting on it even against reason of everyone (Igbos and non-Igbos) who have assuaged your complains that no such thing has and woulf happen in Lagos, I'd call you out. You are deliberately fearmongering needlessly and inciting tribal violence. If we didn't caution you, you'd have made more crazy claims. Maybe if you take time to go through the CyberCrimes Act 2015, you'd realize what you are doing is punishable by law. Inciting violence or spreading rumours to cause gross civil unrest is a crime. Let me go the legal way now. Maybe you think you're invincible. |
DissTroy:2 hours. No response. Funny how the Donjazet actively pushing genocidal narratives suddenly plays blind. Your refusing to reply or answer the poser is a reply in itself. If anything, it shows your inconsistency in logic. This fearmongering racial/tribal identity politics has led to wars. It's fun until it leads to real conflicts. Tone down on it. |
Donjazet2:It'd have excited you more if I pit every new pro-Tinubu moniker which comments under the spotlight by highlighting seeming tribal bigotry. There's no us - there's just you under the spotlight and on the dock being grilledfor making almost every debate here about tribalism. This constant urge to invent false narratives\accusations and run with it.You're going around in circles. Don't dare attempt playing such games with me. You claimed Gbadamosi' motive for claiming there's an impeding genocide against Igbos in Lagos shouldn't be questioned. I gave an example of Buhari claiming Igbos are killing non-indiigenes in the South East. Should we question Buhari's motive or believe him at face value? Yes or no? No stories. |
Donjazet2:Since you insist we shouldn't question anybody's motive and always take what they posit as face value, he's Buhari just last year warning about South Easterners to stop killing non-indigenes in Igboland. Buhari condemns killings of non-indigenes, police officials in South East - https://guardian.ng/news/buhari-condemns-killings-of-non-indigenes-police-officials-in-south-east/ According to your logic, Donjazet2, the SE are tribalistic killing non-indigenes and police, right? Don't dodge this. ![]()

izzou:This is what riles everyone up. People who were born in, lived in or live in Lagos are telling you that tribalism is at its relative lowest but you are insisting there's an agenda to bring on a genocide/xenocide. How? Lagos where Igbos become chairmen of landlords association, contest in top-ranking elections and win, contest for government elective posts, and fill government appointive posts suddenly has Nazi camps to gore Igbos? It (targeting Igbos) won't even happen in Oyo State or Ogun with very significant Igbo populations. |
BlueRayDick:Fate chose me to be the one to state that to him. I'm not Yoruba. I'm not a Northerner. I'm from a neighbouring state to his which votes similar pattern nationally. And, like him, I support Peter Obi and anti-Tinubu. These conditions mean I can state the blunt truth about the near-constant tribal themes to his political arguments without a proffered excuse of being sympathetic because of my tribe, state, candidate or religion. Does he make good points about the polity? Yeah. I'd say he's passionate. Most people here are. That's a good thing. But why ruin them by making most of those points with tribal-infused narratives? |
Donjazet2:Nonsense. You're a Chelsea fan like Amoto so when he agrees with you on club issues, you and him have same mentality? Fulani herdsmen killings made southern governors align but each is supporting different presidential candidates and vary in their support or opposition to Buhari. Two truths can exist. Not everyone sees life in monochrome. Don't deviate. Don't hide behind him. Face the issue like a man. Enough with your constant tribal references to every debate. |
Donjazet2:Below is my first post in this thread or Nairaland today. Focus on the highlighted which I have always reiterated. DissTroy:For you every non-Obi supporter who seems Yoruba is automatically a tribalist until they prove they aren't. All one has to do is local-search "Donjazet2 tribalism" and "Donjazet tribalist". You have more than 9 search result pages of you being mentioned in the same post as tribalism in the Eurosoccer section alone than anyone else on this thread or this board. Each search result page has 30 comments/posts. Times 9 is 270 posts/comments/reactions about tribalism. Even Otem doesn't have that much mention on this board compared to yours on tribalism. |
Donjazet2:Sure. Babatunde Gbadamosi who is a Lagos PDP chieftain who historically bank on anti-Tinubu sentiments to get SE and SS Lagos residents' votes for Lagos PDP candidates is the one you should believe about an impending genocide or xenocide to appease anti-Tinubu voters who traditionally would vote for Gbadamosi' party, Lagos PDP. When you rid yourself of the monochromatic binoculars, you'd be able to see those pulling your heartstring for votes while crying wolf. |
Donjazet2:When you are done quoting Ihordspy, a paid frontpage hugger, for spewing tribal hatred in support of Tinubu, do well to quote the seeminging Igbo monikers who spew anti-Yoruba (not just anti-Tinubu) hatred in support of Obi. Use a few examples of the regular combined 100 monikers who comment on frontpage Nigerian political threads as representatives of the over 2 million Nairaland monikers or thousands actively posting on political issues on this forum. |
Donjazet2:The highlighted is flawed. In fact, you've disingenuously accused ANYONE who supports Tinubu of being anti-Igbo/tribalistic. At other times, you've stated the only reason anyone would support Tinubu is tribalism. Another flaw. There are individual cases to exemplify that accusation but your continuous tribal-brushing of EVERYONE who supoorts Tinubu is blackmail. It shouldn't be the only talking point. There are enough talking points which project Tinubu in the bad light without always going the tribal route. We share some sort of comradeship fused by the presidential election and for that reason nonetheless, I'd spare you the dragging or tone down on it. But don't think I wouldn't if necessary. Since Monday it was trolling about "matured jungles" and everyone trolling Tinubu then boom! It swithed to ambiguously blackmailing a whole group of being tribalistic. Haven't you noticed how even those who support Obi here like Blueray and Sege have been forced to explain away and exonerate their tribe of the accused bigotry? It's a natural reaction. Whether tacitly or vaguely, if my tribe is being cast in a bad light needlessly, I'd respond. It's completely human. You are getting people who align with the same cause as yourself as regard the 2023 presidential election and in support of Obi to go defensive. Enough! |
Theflint1:They have. You should know by now that I don't mince words or shy away from the brutal truth regardless of whose ox is being gored. Donj has. Ema has. I could dig up several references of that on this thread alone buy just finetuning a few keyword searches. |
In the 2003 presidential election, Anambra gave Obasanjo almost twice the number of votes they gave Ojukwu. And Ojukwu was seen as the most reverred Igbo man alive then and controlled APGA. Little complains of rigging in the state. https://www.thecable.ng/in-2003-south-east-voted-for-obasanjo-against-ojukwu-why/amp So, were the Igbos tribalistic against Ojukwu their tribesman? It's because he didn't embody what the Igbos want. When you see every political move or fallout from tribal-coloured binoculars, you'd never see the full picture. |
obainojazz:Now this is a position I agree with and make whenever this topic comes up. When Donjazet starts the campaigns of prejudice, he shouldn't make it about a people or tribe being tribalistic. That's what pisses others off. Me being Ibibio, if an Ibibio candidate and his boys targets people who coincidentally happen to be of other ethnicities who go against his political choices and those attacked indirectly or particularly ty to label most or all Of Ibibios as being anti-other tribes, I'd be pissed even if my preferred candidatw is from another tribe. |
Theflint1:No data really supports your allotted ethnic percentages in Lagos. There are over 320 distinct ethnic groups in Nigeria, but you seem to think it's about the Igbos, Yorubas and Hausas. Your percentage brrakdown is flawed. If the population of Igbos in Lagos is this "small", I can bet they won't be any real significant number in the other South Western states and that's why there's little talk of them not voting in line with the wishes of the majority ethnic group in those other SW states.Really? Ondo State alone has more Ijaw communities than Lagos. Populated with people from the SE and SS too. This much is known to people in the know. There's no where in Ogun State you won't find Igbos and other Southern tribes. Ibadan has been home to many SE and SS tribes for over a century. Other parts of Oyo State too. It's so significant, like in Lagos, the governors of those other SW network with these SE and SS communities to garner votes. How come the people there aren't always accusing the indigenes of tribal-fueled violence and other such prejudicial maltreatments? Tinubu and his thugs do not represent the xenophiliic or xenophobic inclinations of their tribe. They are just Tinubu and his thugs doing Tinubu's bidding. |
obainojazz:Areas, people or settlements in Lagos which voted against Tinubu's wishes were attacked or targeted. It's just coincidental that those areas also have Igbos residing there. Ibibios and Ijaws were victims of the atrocities but you don't see the later two tribes always insisting it is tribalism-fueled. The SE and SS have always voted same patterns historically. In places outside of both regions, you see both form close-knitted communities. Those communities in Lagos are always regarded as going against Tinubu's wishes. You want examples of Ibibio or Ijaw communities attacked in those places you mentioned? Do you realize Lagos is just one of the six SW states? How come you aren't making references of Igbos being targeted in those other states? No references of tribalism always in those places? Tinubu's megalomania or dictatorship doesn't mean everyone indigenously from the SS buy into it. |
Jandor, the Lagos PDP candidate, is being bullied, attacked and his supporters maimed in Lagos. Is Jandor an Igbo man? Heck! Man is more of a Lagos indigene than any of the others running (including Samwo Olu). It's just Tinubu's thugs doing the APC bidding but no ethnic colouration per say. Those thugs would shoot in the air to intimidate but there'd never go from place to place targeting people of a particular tribe. Call out individual cases of tribalism or perceived one whenever you see (I do it), but attempting to paint a whole tribe as anti-Igbo because of Tinubu's thugs antics is mischievous. How come the Yorubas supporting Tinubu have not accused all the Northerners vehemently against him as anti-Yorubas? Attack Tinubu if you will. Insult and troll his supporters if you like but stop painting all of them with one tribal-hued brush. Enough! |
Theflint1:For a jungle to fully "mature" and grow into something sustainable, you either have to make the conditions right, hoping the existing trees would and let time do the rest; or you deliberately plant trees and water it while time does the rest. Either way, a jungle "matures" through afforestation or reforestation. And it's good for a sustainable ecosystem. Cheers to matured jungles.
|
Nothing serious. Just a picture of a "matured jungle" after reading (political) news headlines all week.
|
Privatepart00:The standards of beauty are now low. Any female with a drumload of make-up and photoshopped pictures is called beautiful these days. Really low. Made worse by men who fawn over these fake females. |
Another interesting thing was how since Peter Obi came on the scene in May 2022, BATists kept telling us on this thread and beyond that when jungle matures, Peter Obi would be struggling for political survival. Well, the jungle has "matured"; but guess who's fighting everyone and claiming the whole world is working against him? Time is the greatest humbler. Time! |
Donjazet2:I was referring to both particularly, and of course, they should know. Probably more than 10 pages of complains from both last week and I did skim through. You are crying about hardship brought on by a president who believes he can do no wrong and is above everyone else yet, in the same vein, you are supporting an even more sickly candidate with cognitive issues who shares the very traits of Buhari you are complaining about? It's like women complaining about being maltreated by bad boys but jumping into the bed of the next bad boy who says "hi" while complaining about the previous bad boys. Cognitive dissonance. The irony is lost on them. But they'd learn eventually even more than what they've learnt. The good thing is, we all have relatives all over the country. |
Arguably the most interesting debate/argument/discussion last week on this thread was about fuel scarcity and price inflation, and the dearth of naira notes to spend. I barely engaged but it is was fun reading occasionally and revealing too. Revealing and fun. You know why? The unrepentant Buharists-cum-Tinubuists who have seen the destructive effects of a sickly aloof megalomaniac president were also complaining bitterly. Pages after pages of complain. And I shook my head. These people don't recognize the cognitive dissonance in not seeing the similarities between Buhari and Tinubu - of how both blame everyone else but themselves. Of being surrounded by crooks who'd take advantage of I'll health and absence. But emi lokan regardless. The irony... You will all learn the hard way! |
Anyway, this is ToyinDipo the dólt just days to the 2019 election recounting a conversation with his family members. ToyinDipo:https://www.nairaland.com/5040974/2019-presidential-election-live-updates/53#76050049 He knows Tinubu is bad for Nigeria. He knows even people from the South West have realized Tinubu means ill for our collective fate as a country. And even in 2019, the situation wasn't this dire. But they'd come on this thread to sell you lies about Tinubu to your faces. They'd try to pull the heart strings of logical people with tribe or other such identifiers. They know Tinubu is bad for Nigeria but why do these people insist on foisting the unhealthy old man on us? Wickedness! |
ToyinDipo:Suffering from advanced dementia like Tinubu? You don't even remember your own words in just a 24-hour gap. Here's you reiterating Tinubu and Obi are the same, and doubling down on it when quizzed about it. ToyinDipo: Emaprince: ToyinDipo:May your phalanges whittle at the pace of every lie you spew. May a gazillion bonobo mónkeys take turns on you. Accurséd déranged hermit! |
