He has tendered evidences that he won. Tinubu and INEC will open their defense next week.

seunmsg:
Peter Obi has closed his case in court already without proving how he won the election so what exactly are you expecting from the court again? Miracle?
Politics › Re: A Bit Analysis Of Tribunal Outcome by DMerciful(m): 6:47am On Jun 26, 2023
You assume that after all evidences tendered by LP against Tinubu and INEC rigging, LP final votes will not change? Rivers, Benue, Imo, Lagos, Ekiti, Borno, Sokoto will change atleast.
aswani:
"On the basis of the remaining votes (after discountenancing Tinubu and Shettima) , Obi scored majority of the lawful votes cast in 2/3rd of the States And the FCT, therefor met the requirements to be declared winner"

You were kind of making sense (I admit my bar is now very low considering what I read here daily) until you got to the above.

Atiku came second in the elections behind Tinubu. How exactly can he be second again when you discount Tinubu's votes?

Your summation goes against very basic principles of Mathematics.
Politics › Re: A Bit Analysis Of Tribunal Outcome by DMerciful(m): 6:17am On Jun 26, 2023
Atiku knows Tinubu did not win so he is more or less fighting for a rerun.
stonemasonn:
So what about Atiku, what is he fighting/praying for in court?
Politics › Re: A Bit Analysis Of Tribunal Outcome by DMerciful(m): 6:07am On Jun 26, 2023
You're not getting the point, result announced by INEC is fraudulent. Thats why LP and PDP are in court. Dont base your understanding on what INEC declared, there's a reason they shutdown the IREV
stonemasonn:
Obi only won in southern Nigeria.
Politics › Re: A Bit Analysis Of Tribunal Outcome by DMerciful(m): 6:03am On Jun 26, 2023
Even with Tinubu's votes, if proper counting is done, Obi won!
stonemasonn:
this is completely false.
Politics › Re: You Cannot Be President Without 25% In 24 States- Osita Chidoka by DMerciful(m): 6:00am On Jun 26, 2023
He did not put the FCT inorder not to rule out Atiku, his principal
Benwallt:
During an interview with Channels Television, Osita Chidoka, Former Aviation Minister, stated that someone cannot be president of Nigeria without winning across Nigeria, and the person must get 25% in 24 States before he can be sworn in. He stated that the president must be one who can be trusted to make decisions about bringing people in who will carry out the job while respecting our national diversity.

He added that the president must always remember that he ended up with only 36% of the voters and should, as such, win back the trust and confidence of those who did not vote for him by promoting good governance across the state.

According to him, "With the challenge that comes with the election, with the deeply divided election, the president must always remember that he ended up with 37% of the voters, so it's a minority or majority. Sixty-something percent of the voters said no, so in trying to win back the people's confidence in our electoral process, in trying to win back our people's trust that what matters is who Nigerians want to elect, and one's we're electing, we'll trust him because, you see, the Nigerian constitution is such a beautiful one. You cannot be president of Nigeria without winning across Nigeria; you must get 25% in 24 States. After winning the majority of the votes, you must get 25%, meaning that every President already has a pan-Nigerian mandate. "
Politics › Re: A Bit Analysis Of Tribunal Outcome by DMerciful(m): 5:49am On Jun 26, 2023
Obi will be declared president by both the presidential election petition tribunal and the Supreme Court. E too sure!
Politics › Re: IBB Noted That Atiku Won Ethnicity, Peter Obi Won Religion, Tinubu Won Nigeria by DMerciful(m): 1:59am On Jun 26, 2023
You're basing your analysis on INEC rigged results. Wait for the court process to conclude then we will know who won what!
seunmsg:
Tinubu won the plurality of votes. He did very well across all demographics. He won in Muslim dominated states and Christian dominated states. He won at least a state in every region except the south east where the voting pattern was clearly clannish.

Obi on the other hand did not win a single Muslim state. He couldn’t even get 25% in any of the north west and north east states not to talk of winning. Over 98% of Muslims in Nigeria across all states rejected him. He was clearly a Christian candidate and not a Nigeria candidate.

We're fighting for a new Nigeria and like our principal Obi would say, you don't expect people benefitting from the rot in the system to just go away without a fight.

Its not expected to be easy and if you're truly Obidient, you'll see to the endof the petition with believe! You can't just give up unless you never truly believe in the Obidient movement

Why do non Lagosians from other SW states determine who governs Lagos against indigenous Lagosians?
Throwback:
Yes!

Jimi Agbaje also embraced blanket support from the Igbos who have been obsessed for many years with an Igbo agenda to decide who governs in Lagos State.

Funny enough, it is the same PDP that Igbos have now rejected, that they wanted to foist on Lagos State.

Infact, the Igbos proudly boasted of it like it was a disease they were going to afflict Lagos with just for the fun of it. They were eventually disgraced as always.

Igbos on this forum never hid their desire then that they (Igbos) will decide who governs in Lagos and not the Yorubas.

So Agbaje was rightly classified as the Igbo candidate for the Lagos Governorship.

The question is, why are Igbos obsessed with determining who governs in Lagos?

Other non-Yoruba tribes resident in Lagos do not harbour this same obsession.

I repeat, no Nigerian is a host to another Nigerian. The constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria regarding the rights of citizens is very clear. You'll have to leave Nigeria and form your own country so you can treat Nigerians different.

When you collect oil allocation revenue from Niger Delta, you don't mention host

You're not a true Obidient. To give up at the beginning of a fight! I wonder whether you thought it'd be easy.

Tinubu will be removed and Obi declared.
Its too sure!
wegevv:
Lol we’re slowly learning in real time

Obi is still in court so let’s see how that goes. I can’t see much hope for him unfortunately because it’s Nigeria but also because it’s very difficult for him to prove he won the election like he said. I still support him and while there’s plenty evidence that the election was rigged in favour of APC I haven’t yet seen any conclusive evidence that Obi won the election outright. So his best hope is for a rerun or a disqualification of Tinubu (both seem very unlikely to me)

In some ways that is also his best hope for 2027 and beyond: Another four party election where PDP and NNPP field heavyweight northern candidates. He will have to try to get into the second ballot against anyone other than Tinubu because Tinubu is strong in both the south and the north while Obi is very weak in the core north

So even if Obi somehow manages to unite the opposition (NNPP, PDP and LP) against APC, he will still struggle. The incumbent effect is real too.

I watched so many polling videos before the last election and one thing that surprised me was the number of unexpected people that admitted they voted for Buhari in 2019. Pretty sure there’s a psychological thing where some people just vote for the man currently in charge. The power of the office will also give PBAT advantages.

So I’m not that hopeful about an Obi presidency anymore but let’s see. Ultimately I’m very happy that the current president has a weak mandate because that is forcing him to work. Buhari had a strong mandate in 2015 and that made him arrogant in his incompetence.

PBAT is clearly far more competent than PMB but is also under real pressure from the ongoing litigation to perform. That is good news for Nigeria ❤️
Politics › Re: Which Former Governors Should Tinubu Appoints As Ministers? by DMerciful(m): 5:07pm On Jun 25, 2023
You guys are not following the PEPT, Tinubu is gone for sure! He may even be arrested!
wegevv:
He is positioning for presidency in 2031. Tinubu didn't officially hold any office from 2007 and now he's president. Buhari didn't officially hold any office from 1985 until he won in 2015. Vying for presidency is a full time job in Nigeria.

El Rufai must be worried about Kwankwaso which is why I believe he made those controversial comments about MM ticket in Kaduna and nationally. He is battling Kwankwaso for Buhari-style popularity in the core north with the sort of messaging that is popular there (it is what it is). He will put forward his competency to the south when the time is right (looks like the southern population tend to care more about that than religious sentiment).

It would be interesting to see if Kwankwaso declines any ministerial position PBAT offers him too. Kwankwaso would be well positioned to lead a united opposition in 2027 depending on how PBAT's administration goes. It would be easier for him than any southern candidate against Tinubu. It's probably why Tinubu is trying to bring him closer.

No Nigerian is a host to another Nigerian!
Godfullsam:
He should also advise the if os to always respect their host.

Failure to respect and accept the political and economic decision of their host will be met with serious consequences as in the case of lagos.

No matter how long you stay in another man's land, you are still a visitor and there are limits to how you can behave.
Family › Re: My Girlfriend's Mom Said Some Pastors Said Our Marriage Won't Work. Please Help by DMerciful(m): 4:38pm On Jun 25, 2023
Religion is fake. Marry who you love snd who loves you
klimkid:
My girlfriend and I have been dating for 3 years now and it's about time we start planning on getting married.

One thing I no for sure is that she loves me and I do love her too. Recently, she told me that her mom went to some churches and they told her it won't work, about 3 pastors. But my girlfriend told her friend to tell her pastor to pray about it.

So he prayed about it and he gave us feedback after 3 days and he said the marriage will work, he said I will give my girlfriend peace, take care of her and make her happy.

There's a woman that prays for me here in Lagos, she said there is nothing wrong with both of us. I also called my Rev. Father and he said that nobody has the right to say the person is for this person or the marriage won't work.

He said marriage is a decision both of us will take and pray about it.

He said hence we love ourselves so much, should leave it for God and continue with our relationship.

Guys, have you experienced this before? What do you think? I am confused.
Politics › Re: Obidients Should Stop Behaving Like Enemies Of Nigeria by DMerciful(m): 10:18pm On Jun 24, 2023
Why are you guys so obsessed with Igbos?

Igbos have the highest survivability in Nigeria, politics or no politics!
helinues:
At least if they are not considering the consequences of their actions now in the future, how about the past that's hunting them politically, I really don't know if they are just too busy to think and reflect.

Nothing like long term political plans, not interested in making friends or building bridges, they would abuse all Nigerians for the next 3 years and when it's a year to the election, that's when they will remember they want to take their country back, from who? those who have been defending the country from same you people as they wouldn't mind for everything to scatter just to be vindicated.

I am yet to see where this kind of method ever won any election on this crust.

Enice, you've not answered the question.
Do you think you know more than the sans pushing Obi's case?
Enice:
it's a know fact that for you to discredit an EC8A, you must provide first hand evidence which can either come from those who signed the form: the police, polling agents or ad-hoc staff. What Obi is doing is that he is trying to overturn the election by challenging the process. He doesn't want any winner. Also why he didn't join PDP

With CTC from INEC, you dont need polling unit agent especially when you won according to INEC own CTCs. INEC just did fraudulent addition. They failed basic maths[quote author=wwwihy post=123990235]Peter Obi closed his case without calling a single polling unit agent?

Obi is tendering evidences, after that is the arguments and how those evidences prove he won. Just have patience
muykem:
Where are those evidences please. You lack legal mind to understand proceedings, star witness and persuade evidence. Peter legal team has not done anything reasonable in the court. They have not been able to come up with how Peter won the election. You might prove abnormalities in the election process but tribunal is more interested on how it affect your result. For example, election results were not transferred real time as promised by INEC, tribunal interest is how it affects Peter Obi result.
