IT Officer = 2yrs and 5 months
Snr. IT Officerr = 3yrs and 11 Months

B.Sc (UNN) = AQF Associate Degree with a Major in computing But I Have Master which I did not submit.

Question :

How many point do you think Department of Home Affairs will award me?
Do you think I can still make ?

The Master was removed because of experience i guess? If that is correct, go the way you assessed.
If you think that the 5point less you had with BSC is more important than the 6yrs+4moons, then you may choose to go with Masters.

Good morning folks. Please i want to ask the easiest means for a nigerian to score high on English Proficiency test. Is it IELT'S or PTE? How can one cross the PTE barrier of 79 in each module. I have written on couple of times now, and i am still not cross 68.

Try the 2 (IELTS & PTE), start by downloading their kits and working on them; by so doing you will be able to know which is easier for you.

And mind you, the marks that makes people to hit high e.g: in (IELTS) is quite slim.
7=30-31
7.5=32-34
8=35-36
8.5=37-38
9=39-40

With this you will notice that losing only one point might be a problem.
So...keep practicing and pray that they don't present those long reading questions that will make you to be looking back and fourth in the exam paper.

Please I am in a fix now concerning the English competency test.

I used IELTS an Assessment with EA (233311) and it came out positive. L/S/R/W = 8/8/6/7

Now I need to rewrite my English test to enable apply for EOI. I scheduled for PTE on the 22nd, which is in 12 days time. Yesterday, I prepared for and wrote the PTE mock test and my scores are still very low with Reading = 57

Now the point is, should I go ahead with the actual test or should I reschedule and use E2 language tutors? I have tried so hard to improve my scores on my own using a lot of online resources, but still...

I am a little nervous because of the warnings people give on this forum like “winter is coming” and all. If I reschedule and use language tutors, I might need extra 2 or 3 months for a more professional tutoring.

My major concern is: will winter have come by then? I was hoping to submit and EOI before the year runs out.

Please, those that know and understand the trends please advice me. Thanks

Good evening oga belong.Am sorry if my question might have infuriated you. I did ask that question sometime last year,but along the way ,my plan did not work out------it does not really mean am unserious.

Why i had to ask the question was that around April this year ,i got an additional btech qualifications, though a one year top up for my HND. Now ,am confused cos if i add it to my assessment document,,my past 12 yrs working experience might be cut off.because i was told your experience counts from your most recent qualification.
And also if EA would agree to assess my HND +OND. only.

I concur, because they most likely are using BSC and 1 year experience.
It is easier to predict.
But the further they stays in the pool, the more their point will be increasing through Job Experience and some small-small things.

If you can raise up to 60points; then with state nominaton 70points, enter the pool and they will have no choice if they needed your services.
I think WA pattern is tryna posses them.(WA focused more on those that studied in their State) #MyThoughts

Or maybe they are delaying intake until I am ready to apply.
I will be coming in with the same 3123 code, I will leave them with no choice.

Last year? Yes, they needed about 4-5years of experience and it was scrapped.

They updated that list and were showing low availability without much proof. (4+1 invite since July)

My take is that they wants to slow 2018-2019 intake, but you have to fire first.

It's like having an NCE then went ahead to do Diploma, you will definitely be having 2 Certificates. (Diplomas)

It looks dicey but i am not fully ready to row with it until i've finished the Pre-HND programme, by then the two Transcript will be ready.

Maybe if i cannot convince them, i may confuse them.

While i will be enrolling in HND programme, i will be Assessing the credentials at once. Incase the outcome of the ones i have happened to be what you guys are suggesting, i will know thay i have Assessed 1 certificate and then will be ready to assessed the 2nd when it is ready.

Further drilling down shows that the error must have occurred when filling the work experience part... That may be the problem.
Because after that, they would ask you the category in which the job fell into A,B or 0.

Probably not. The number of years you've spent doesn't necessarily translate correctly in these situations. Besides, you've mentioned that you are doing this part time.
I really don't know which option you should choose. I'm leaning towards the 2 years. But I might be wrong.
Maybe confirm from your school.
Or if you're willing to take the gamble, then go ahead and do the ECA. Whatever you get on the ECA report is the option you should choose

I went back to the CRS calculator and added 2 certificate option; there i got the magical outcome of HND being too certificate.

For even at the age of 35, i was able to still score 456.
Honestly, it calmed my mind.
I thought just like Aussie movement, when one hits 32, the point will be plunging way down.

Maybe i will seek for the 2 certificate after securing this one first.

What you're writing looks like a 'story' an Agent told you. I just hope an Agent is not somewhere 'messing' up your head.

Finish your pre-HND or whatever and evaluate it. Write IELTS and enter the pool. It's that simple! In this Cannyland journey, you cant "jump the gun."

The person that raised me in this Get-Away by all means or become too stuck to move in this country does not like to hear that name AGENT, it sounds extortion to his ears.

I think you are clutching at straws. You know that all these different certificates are really just part of one academic program. The simple truth is that right now, your highest academic qualification is ND.
It'ss my opinion that that won't be enough to fetch you ITA (especially combined with just one year experience).
You are already in the process of doing your HND. Finish that process.
It's not just about doing the PR, what of getting a good job when you land?
With 2 or more certificates, you stand a good chance - even at 33

Why don't you wait and finish your HND

On finishing my Pre-HnD next year July, i would be 30years by then(The passPort i summitted in Aussie Embassy had that, and they shares data)

Meanwhile, i will be needing that 1 year compulsory work experience off shore.
On trying to achieve that, i will hit 31years. (Race against Age point)
Now you see why i need to hit them with them 3years transcripts and let them do the Maths themselves when i begin to firing?

I never knew that people are not aware of that Pre-HND stuffs(i explained it if one scrolls up on this page 37), which means they too will be thrown into Frenzy.

If you did partTime in a Fed Poly(i don't know about State); instead of one starting as an ND scholar, you will first do your PolyTechnic Diploma.
Meanwhile the Offer letter that will be giving to you would be for 2years Programme.

Inside the 2years programme, the ND is inclusive. Thereby making the semesters to be 4.

Then after that, we were asked to re-applied and on doing that, a new offer letter was giving which states that the programme will be for one Years and that programme is called Pre-HND. It is a programme that must be taken by PartTimers in order to be able to go for HND programme.

In this case, your statements of results will be showing 6 semesters and the only option that suits this case is Bachelor; in college 3years plus of study

By looking at this, it is a point booster, because Transcript will have everything and the years of the studies recorded.

I cannot say that i studied for 2 years, whereas the years that was recorded will be showing 3?
Assessment officer might ask; Who raised you boy? You don't even know how long [Y]ou spent in school?
