The amendments introduce a revised points system for the subclass 491 visa as well as existing General Skilled Migration (489,189,190) visas. Some of you may have read my grant testimony on the other thread, so I will skip that part. I worked as an Auditor with a Big4 in too much time to get back to me. Kiwi's are really nice and welcoming. Those days I'll be walking on the street and see a black person, we must acknowledge each other oh (lol). New Zealand is also beautiful, rented could have lived in NZ and gotten NZ passport but Australia is the bigger of the two countries.

2. I felt NZ is

4. My brother lives there, I thought I might as well be close to family.

I just want to say to anyone who is already living in Australia or coming from Naija. Mehn, apply for jobs in NZ, you just might be lucky. I met people while in NZ who also got jobs from Naija, so don't write it off. Also if I had a family, I definitely would have stayed back in NZ, in my opinion it has a more wholesome feel and good for raising a family which might be better than Australia. Next time I will share my "settling in" story for Australia (moved to Melbourne 6 months ago), stay tuned

Oh by the way I went shopping for Nigerian stuff I Melbourne a few weeks ago. I walked out looking at my tiny bag with items that cost me about a hundred bucks, lol (see receipt for items bought, don't ask me what I cancelled ‍♂️)

P.S. excuse my typos
Thanks for sharing.
W huhw, so Condoms costs that much? grin

Realityshot & Extraterrestial

There is no hint in the write-up that suggests businessmen/politicians shouldn't invest in Nigeria. I only mentioned investment in Australia within the narrow context of gaining respect and helping immigrants in Australia.

Businessmen can invest in Nigeria, Australia or anywhere in the world. Proceeds and profits (in dollars) will be injected into Nigerian economy.

I completely agree with you that investing in Nigeria is very important and I think it probably should have been number 1 on the list. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
About Investments; I know some people that find it difficult to invest anywhere that is not their Hometown or Region, judging from the information I gathered here (Abuja-Naija) locally.
They'don't be thinking that in their old age they may have to travel back home.

That is to say, investing is usually a thing of the heart/mind.

@dikachi12

There is no possibility of such ban...
You are only banned by EA from assessing with EA.
If you decide to go with VETASSES, you should be fine and well within your right to do.
Well.. if what you said is correct, goodluck to him.

I judged with what happened to my close palz Visa Application.
She was denied because someone on EFCC list tried to help her & the persons account was frozen by the Agency here in Nigeria just weeks after she submitted.
They denied her and she reFired and got banned 4Life.

So, I was just judging with that.

Please, recently (late 2018 or 2019) who has gotten ITA with a 70points score for ICT Business or System Analyst huh
There ars things you cannot control and the ones you are at the drivers seat.
ITA most times depends on what they want or how high you are able to score.
You have 70 Points? You've done well for yourself, just sit and wait for nature to play its cause..

GoodNews is, their new law states that even if your EOI has lasted for up to A Year, E.g 65 points in the next financial year whenever them 65 pointers are being called upon, that they'd start from old applicants.

Goodluck.

Good evening everyone,

so my partner and myself have been on the canada journey for a while but finally realized it's not for us, since we both don't have masters. we did our assessment with both EA and Vetassess and came out positive. Bellow is our point

1. Age-30
2. Experience -10
3. Education - 15
4. English test - 10
5. Spouse Experience - 5

I will want to know if we are fine for the 189 visa class or we need to take the English test and target 20 point which proves very difficult for us.

Oga Bellong and other oga's in the house kindly out. Thanks
Get into that pool first and be looking for that 20point

Are you aiming for spouse 5 point?
If you are; that means you still have a lot to do.
I believe you know that she must be assessed and for one to be assessed, one of the criteria is that they must have at least 6marks-across in IELTS or other English tests?

But if she is not giving you any point, I do not know if it would be required.
Maybe while lodging Visa; 4 or 5 marks in IELTS may be needed as a grown up that is coming in with you.

Our grey hairs may chip in if there is anything to correct.

Find below requirement to assess with a post graduate degree that do not require an ICT degree for admission:

A rough estimate of your points assuming your PG degree is not related to ICT project manager below:
Age: 25pts
Education: 15pts:
Experience: 5pts (you will loose 5years; 4years before PgDip graduation and 1year after. You will be left with 3yrs)
English: 20pts
State sponsorship: 10pts
Total: 75pts

Based on the current trend, your best chance of getting a nomination for ICT project manager is South Australia on 489 but the occupation is on high point at the moment.

Since you are open to go for a 489 nomination, I'll suggest you assess with TRA for ICT customer support because it is still available on SA's state sponsorship with low points. With that you will be able to claim at least 5 yrs of work experience with your HND completion date. Your possible points will be;

Age: 25pts
Education:15 points (PgDip)
English : 10pts
Experience: 10pts
State sponsorship: 10pts
Total: 70pts
I thought someone can remove his PGD to claim a Maximum work experience point and put it back while lodging IN for Visa?

I believe i have read something of that nature here but with Masters Degree?

I was given the Engineering Technologist outcome because my transcript didn't show sufficient Telecommunications engineering contents. I think it happened to someone else too despite the fact that he has around 5yrs experience. It is easier for someone who studied Electrical & Electronic Engineering to claim either Electrical or Electronic Engineer than other profession.
Pool is free, enter into the pool with what you have and aim for Professional Engineering.
ITA & acceptance is the goal.

However, if you didn't copy, appeal and show evidence that it originated from you.

Because in Engineering, one is taught through a written notebook or handnote which i believe was copied from somewhere; now you understands that writting exactly was you were taught and how it was taught may hand you a Ban?.
