The discussion about minimum wage has really shown how insensitive and unrealistic most Nigerians are. How on earth will you increase minimum wage from 30k to 500k? What happens to private sector? Who will pay their own minimum wage? And what will happen to other sectors of governance if such huge fund is used for salary? If minimum wage is 500k then someone in level 16 will be receiving close to 10m as monthly salary. The overall effect of this on inflation will be catastrophic, the Naira will become extremely worthless that a loaf of bread could sale for 20k, school fees and house rents will be in millions, afterall minimum wage is 500k. Ask yourself what happened in Nigeria immediately minimum wage was upgraded from 18k to 30k, prices of goods and services immediately adjusted to the point that there was almost zero benefit of the increased minimum wage. Such will still happen if minimum wage is increased from 30k to 500k 1 Like |

What if the man was innocent? That the girls were sexually penetrated does not necessarily mean the father was responsible, someone else may have done it too. Naturally mothers usually have excessive influence on their daughters and getting them to lie against their father after brainwashing them is not a big deal. There's no limit to what a scornful woman can do to destroy her husband completely. |

The decay in government owed hospitals in Nigeria is unimaginable. From bunch of staff that knows nothing about their profession, to nurses and lab technicians extorting patients with unofficially fees and padded bills, often required to be paid cash or transferred to their personal account. The worst is reluctant doctors that attend to patients with nonchalance unacceptable to even treat dogs in sane climes. Only God is healing people in most of this hospitals, left for them alot of patients stand no chance of survival. |

After reading all the comments, i can now conclude that misinformation is a serious crime. Everybody was just rushing to comment on what they didnt understand without even watching the speech. NewFolm4:The problem with most of this lecturers is that they always think upgrading education system means upgrading their salaries and allowances. If Prof. Collect 2M salary how much is President's salary? How much will other lecturers be paid? And don't you think other sectors like doctors etc will start fighting for similar pay. What then happens if everybody's salary is increased in that range, did they even consider how inflation will render the money useless?
