NDPVF: At this point,i will tell you Good morning. You want southern unity, but you people voted overwhelmingly against our own brother, just for the post of vice presidency, who at least for now, appears lost/inconsequential,in the ocean of Northern controlled politics(I learnt he was locked out in security meeting conveyed by Buhari).
Listen:This is why when i want to defend Igbos,i defend them with my all, because,it seems that they are seeing further than us all.And as a result, few idiots do think am Igbo.Wake me up,when you people do introspection. hmm.. you are right. We need to wake up. |

nairalandist: There's a lot to be done by the government I tell.you. You hardly see public facilities being maintained properly, even by the government. Thank God LAWMA is trying. The thing is, why not create an agency that will maintain most of these facilities? It's cheaper to maintain infrastructures than to allow them to wear out. I wonder if our government think sometimes. |

Caseless: Yoruba people are more intelligent than this. It is only illiterates that see unity as uniformity. Do you think we are really United? We are not one voice. Read my previous comment to understand the context. "Nigeria is not working as a unit due to tribalism. Politicians rule through divide and conquer tactics as the more divided and preoccupied all tribes are with each other, the more secured their positions are. The moment we start uniting they know we will be able to wake up and see the injustice, but for now idiott will keep celebrating and defending their tribes men rather than seeing the bigger picture. It is an endless cycle, the previous administration didn't perform but yet people are bitter because they didn't vote for their tribes men, so will rather spite other tribes to the detriment of the country. The same will also happen with buhari.... " |

leke12: The only side still deciding Nigeria's fate is Southwest, had it been awolowo agreed with ojukwu there won't be anything call nigeria again. Let's view. It this way, imagine:1. if southwest decide to secede, the southeast and SS will never want to stay with d north. 2.and if southwest decided to stay the SS and SE won't be able to secede because the southwest won't want to stay alone with the north so it will boycott their every move and form an alliance with d north just like d civil war days. 3. For nigeria to break successfully without any bloodshed or war the whole southern protectorate will secede, and they must form alliance to do that. Forget actualization Biafra or niger delta republic without d southwest alliance it will jst cause senseless bloodshed. I agree the north is pulling us back in terms of civilization, hunger for power and freedom(southwest aren't that okay with it) but all the southern protectorate must first agree to break together and each can form their respective countries later. Peace!!!! Intelligent posts. The problem is lack of unity between the southern region |

Eshinwaju: Let's just give yeboes Biafra.......ASAP..... Except (we) yorubas also need to demand for freedom or true federalism. We yorubas has to be the most timid group in Nigeria, as we tend to sit on the fence. It doesn't take a genius to know the system is not working and something needs to be done. If the calls for federalism are not honoured then we might be better off being alone. |

Flets: Nigeria needs restructuring.
What Value does our expensive democrarcy add to our national life?
What remarakable addition has the Senate and the lower house added to our democracy in the past 16 years?
Why do we have to pay over 25% of our nation FG budget to few people who add nothing to our national life? Why should being a senator or HOR be a permanent jobs?
How do you expect non-technocrats and career politicians to make impacting laws?
Corruption thrives in the current set-up and this democratic structure is wrong
Assuming, we operated a regional system of government where reps would have to be sponsored from their various regions to the centre....... Do you think we would have these number of sentors and HOR members?
Do you think a state that struggles to generate income for local salaries will afford to send 3 senators and 6 HOR members to the centre?
Nigerians want miracles .... but a little thought to the process reveals an endemic faultline that can only be resolved through re-structuring vis-a-vis Fiscal federalism/ Regional Governance As excellent as this post was, you are wasting your time educating people on nl. We should be fighting for federalism and better restructuring of the government, but we are not. |

Idrismusty97: Even if he isn't allowed a second term Hausa-Fulani political domination will still be maintained. PDP have made it clear a Northerner would be their flagbearer in 2019…They also helped made Saraki and Dogara become Senate president and Speaker respectfully, So why the whining? Hausa-Fulani influence in PDP is just as strong as it is in APC, Even your regional APGA party can easily be hijacked by the Hausa-Fulani with your help. It isn't our fault, we are simply opportunists. Hausas are just too smart for our southern polticians. Their domination is not healthy. I guess we can all forget federalism |

Stylaay: Our leaders day of reckoning is fast approaching. They plundered a country so blessed by God raped it and think they will get away with it. When the poor are hungry the rich can't sleep. All these mansions politicians are buying all over abuja i laff. When reality hits nigeria in the nearest future they will leave thier houses and run. The beast in Nigerians would soon be unleashed when the fallout of cripping poverty descendes onthis oil dependant nation. The prediction of the west is still lurking around the corner i fear for this country that day can't come soon enough |
