juicee1: you are really a brilliant person. I see some fools celebrating over an individual who got elevated to a post that will benefit he and his family alone. Look at benue state and tell me what david mark brought as development to the state. Nothing! Thesame Ibos who said they don't need the senate presidency cos it adds no value are thesame guys celebrating that the SW lost out. What huge value would it have added to the SW. As for saraki, he's a yoruba man irrespective of whether is from NC or SW. It's just like saying the ibos in asaba are no longer ibos because asaba is not situated in SE.
All these politicians do not give a damn about you and me on NL. Killing yourself because of them is the height of stupidity. The yorubas nor any other tribe didn't lose yesterday, individuals gained, not the common you and me.
Barcanista now enjoys protection from PDP while some idiots are busy chanting APC vs PDP without making any dime from them.
Tinubu will go ahead and get his oil wells while silly internet fools remain poor or worse.
Politicians don't love us.

Politics › Re: Buhari In Love With Fashola by Dollyak(f): 6:02pm On Jun 10, 2015*. Modified: 7:41pm On Jun 10, 2015 |
Flets: Maybe someone needs to remind me of the highlights of Fashola's excellent performance in office.
Now lets leave Propaganda aside..... I need someone to outline 3 key things fashola did that points to ingenuity
Lagos state has the highest IGR in the country yet resposnible for over 40% of total national local debts For a state that generates over 40 billion naira monthly from IGR and allocations, Where are the capital intensive projects embarked upon by Fashola's admininstration? Lagos state is already a commercial hub before Fashola became governor.... how did Fashola improve the commercial attractivesness of lagos?... What policies aimed at attracted investors was put in place by Fashola? What jobs were created by Fashola's govt (dont mention Lastma) and how did his govt support the middle class or SMEs? Fashola fixed roads and planted flowers, so did Sullivan Chime of Enugu, Akpabio of Akwaibom, Kwankwaso of Kano, Peter Obi of Anambra.... etc; what makes him stand out? Increasing tax rates and imposing levies on okada riders, shop owners etc is no ingenuity for raising IGR.... What exactly did he do? Does deporting Nigerians in Nigeria and dumping them under a bridge in the wee hours of the morning sound like an act of a sound mind?
As a matter of fact, people like Fashola should not be allowed anywhere close to this current govt. Fashola's understanding of governance only support the elites which is averse to the touted Buhari's govt for the masses. Fixing an existing road and tolling it is the height of insensitivity..... and the first in Nigeria by a state government. Imagine if every state government follows the Fashola template by tolling roads built using tax payer's money or allocation accruing to a state.... we would have about 25 tolls in akwa-ibom, 20 in enugu, 23 in anambra....etc.
Fashola and Amaechi led the governors to demand and share the Soverign wealth fund which led to crash of our economy Fashola filed a suit against signing the Freedom of Information Bill in Lagos state
Unfortunately, we Nigerians hardly reason beyond our noses... and that is why propaganda sells
Fashola looked like a performer because he took over from a a failed Tinubu under whom Lagos collapsed.
Fashola is an average politician and not even near a technocrat. I liked your post. I would also like to know what he did as most of the project like eko Atlantic were privately funded, the only thing we can praise him for is the initiative. But some of the budget spendings are suspect. |
Politics › Re: Osun State Government Collecting N540m On April 2015 by Dollyak(f): 5:20pm On Jun 10, 2015 |
Lies. Most of these b.s projects are ways to siphoned money out of the state. You can't steal a lot of money by paying workers, but you can by overpricing imaginary budget. And how many of the roads, airport etc are completed |

Politics › Re: Do You Still Believe APC Can Keep These Promises ( Listed) by Dollyak(f): 1:20pm On Jun 10, 2015 |
Not all. Most of these promises were made on the premise of a significant increase in oil price, of which ain't happening. Most of these promises requires heavy capital investment of which isn't feasible in the grand scheme of things. |
Politics › Re: Nairalanders Please Lets Stop These Incessant Insults & Abusive Posts/comments by Dollyak(f): 1:05pm On Jun 10, 2015 |
Insults and abuse are not acceptable by any standards. However, the deep sense of mistrust and hatred can mostly be blamed on the politicians. You have to solve the fundamentals issues before telling people to stop the personal insults, otherwise any attempt will be a futile exercise. |

Useless court. All they know is how to dismiss corruption charges. A federal judge once told me how hard it is to give a good verdict with constant threats of murder/sacking, bribes and whatnot. These people are two powerful to be thrown in jail. |

nortcentrallord: Don't mind the hollow guy. If Jesus preached something close to what mohamed preached, would islam had ever spring up? If Christians behave like muslims, I wonder where the world will be. Some Christians are the reason why these believers of doom propagate their gospel of intolerance. exactly. I am tired of the constant threat by a certain sects of Muslims, like their religion is the only thing that matters to the whole world. Whatever happened to live and let's live. |
Politics › Re: The average Nigerians are the most shortsighted/one dimension people in Africa. by Dollyak(op): 12:46pm On Jun 10, 2015 |
noblezone: OP, You dont have a country. Nigeria was created for Business.
The day indigenous African nations forced to be Nigerians will emerge, is the day you will have a country where political business men can no longer dictate the pace. Funny and equally sadly enough, a british man told me one of the biggest travesty by his ancestors was the forced marriage between different tribes in Nigeria. He later went on to say we can't survive with the structure currently in place in Nigeria, of which I sadly agree. Most Nigerians can't think straight at the moment, and are happy with the scrap being fed to them by politicians. |

elijah24: I've been dating her for six years. 3 years ago i found out she was seeing someone else, but when i asked her she said she was going to stop seeing the guy immediately but till date she still goes to see the guy, sometimes even in the guy's school.
I am in my final year while she is in her 3rd year. The other guy is in his OND1.
i feel betrayed and wanna end the relationship but all her friends are begging me to give her time to put an end to the affair with the guy. She also begged me to pardon her that she will end it. My problem is i can't share my girl with someone else especially in this era of STDs and even HIV. I love her and anytime i ask her to stay away from me i fall sick after a day or two. Please guys and babes, i need sincere and genuine advice. I don't wanna act and regret later.
I am confused that's why i brought it to the house for good advice. Please pals help a bro that is helpless now just leave. She is taking you for a fool. |
