Why make him VP when they couldn't trust him? Sounds too dodgy man. Probabaly making sure he will conform to their corrupt practices before letting him in.

Do this politicians think they are talking to fools? What can he see or discuss that the Vp shouldn't hear/see? Most of the rulers from the developed world are from posh family, so i fail to see his points.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Lagos Flood Sweeps Away 12-year-old Boy by Dollyak(f): 12:22pm On Jun 11, 2015
Lagos state is seriously failing her citizens. How a state like Lagos can't invest in a proper drainage system is beyond my head. Word fail me.

Exactly. Any right thinking Nigerian should be concerned with the way things have been going recently.

Could this protest by a first step in a grand plan against the Igbo in Lagos?
I don't think you shouldn't read too much into this. These people are seriously the minority as far as protest or outrage is concern.

PoliticsRe: UK Prime Minister Tweets About Nigeria.. See Snapshots. by Dollyak(f): 10:05am On Jun 11, 2015
Happy. Hate or love them, USA and UK are one of the few that can pressure Buharri to tackle Nigeria's corruption. They are even more in a stronger position due to Nigeria's current economic state. So I am hoping the string attached are strong enough to encourage Buharri.

God bless Nigeria

The allowances are the problem. Please, they need to stop providing them with cars, maid service and all their comforts. Let them use their salary to fund their extravagant lifestyles. If they dont like it, they can reject their mandate. The salary is not bad. Its the allowances that are the problem. If they think they need aides to say aye or nay, let them pay for that out of their pocket. Foolish thieves. undecided

Is there a place on earth that doesn't flood or what kind of ignorant and unintelligent talk is this?

That's Houston TX in 2015 and just a few week ago. Sadly, many people died.

How many people did in Lagos in 2015 or ever because of flooding?

You village ignorants need to shut up sometimes..
Can you stop showing me Houston please... yuck. Did I ever said there was any city that doesn't? The aim is to reduce the frequency of flooding, as it was the case in Manhattan, London(thames) etc.
Lagos is the commercial hub and it's obvious little has been done to solve the flooding problem in the state. Does it mean a proper drainage system will completely solve the flooding problem? No, but it will help reduce the the rate of flooding in the city.
Has there being any proper attempt to solve the flooding problem in Lagos?
Forget stating the obvious and look at the big picture. The amount Lagos will be losing everyyear is enough to justify an investment in a proper drainage systems and other infrastructures. A frequent drizzle is enough to cause flooding in Lagos, which is pathetic.
Use your little brain man....... and stop trying to justify mediocre.
Me a village ignorant? hahaha let's just keep quiet. Your attempt at being condescending is a total failure because you don't know me. In fact I am proud to be a village girl, does it mean I should stop talking? See your small brain. Peasant.

PoliticsRe: Louis Farrakhan's Message To Black People With The Breakfast Club by Dollyak(f): 3:29am On Jun 11, 2015
AAinEqGuinea:
Don't get me started on Obama wink but in fairness he's running the entire country. Maybe on another topic I'll get more detailed on my criticism of Obama. Obama could help with this black plight, but I'm not expecting him to. Too many Blacks local politicians have failed Blacks for too long. But aside from Obama, every modern black leader has failed miserably, speaking specifically about the newer breed of fraudulent self-indulging failures. They always seem to drop some recycled jewels originally spoken by beards from AA history, which Is what makes them dangerous because too many blacks unknowingly ascribe old knowledge to the modern frauds. Take this clown Tariq Nasheed for example, believing he's a Marcus Garvey incarnate, has now turned against those who are really like him (Polight, Sa neter, Hebrews, etc) but I'm not surprised because with time I'd know Tariq was simply peddling hidden colors as his lucrative hustle. Ask any African how much did a simple lesson in their own history cost them. These modern "pro-black" movements has turned into a hustle, a safety-net hustle for when all other hustles have dried up, knowing you can always marginally profit off black ppl with a new approach to pro-blackness, clouded with their own cockamamie interpretations of modern events, simply to capitalize off the romance idea of black unity. Yes, sadly we need money, but considering the seriousness surrounding the reason to guide the lost sheep you've mentioned, this effort shouldn't be done as someone's profit-seeking hustle. The Boondocks even lampooned the profit-seeking efforts with the character Rollo Goodlove. Pure genius series. grin

It's not always about exploiting black unity for profit, was crusading for the Arab's religion more than black unity, which became the silver lining to them killing Malcolm X. His people haven't done anything monumentous since, but talk... But Blacks fall in love with personality rather than logic, so he's somehow still relevant and getting softer.
This was by far his biggest downfall.

Farakhan works for the CIA.

He was involved in Malcolm X's death.

The Nation of Islam is nothing more than a prison protection racket and snitch unit for the Feds.

Their doctrine also sucks balls.
What are you on about? Saying Farahkan works for CIA has to be the most bizarre conspiracy ever.

The igbos went into defence for that but it is now obvious that they are now into offensive when neccessary .

the igbo will loss only for a short period of tym which is the period they will use to rebuild and develop their region and create more employment opportunity.

Initiative ?

What initiative ? We all may not know who drew up the Master plan for Lagos State but It wasn't Fashola.

The original plan is just being implemented with a few tweaks here and there.
Fashola's original contributions to Lagos are the vocation centres and LASTMA.

I think I need to look up my dictionary for the definition of technocrat but the former governor doesn't seem to qualify.
NOI, former Agriculture minister Akinwunmi and Emir Sanusi are typical examples of technocrats in my opinion.

I don't know how anyone ever arrived at the conclusion that the former governor is a technocrat. He's a politician.
I was being diplomatic pending any explanation from his supporters. Though, I was not impressed with the state of Lagos the last time I went there, but I still like to keep an open mind. Can you believe they are still suffering from flooding in 2015?

Igbos are partly to blame too, abeg. All the condescending talks were too much from some Igbos. The fact they are not fighting other tribes should give you some clue.
