Phones / Re: Some Appliances You Have At Home Has Hiding Cameras— Kelechi Deca by dome777: 9:06am On Nov 20, 2023
In today's digital age, our gadgets are not just tools; they're silent observers, collecting bits of information about us every day.

Every time you use your smartphone, tablet, or computer, you leave behind a digital footprint. This footprint includes the websites you visit, recorded audio on your phones, the apps you use, the time you spend on them, and even your preferences.

Big corporations, like tech giants and social media platforms, collect this data to understand you better so they can create products just for you.

Data Collection Basics:
Every click, like, or share you make online builds a digital profile. Tech giants and social media use this to know your likes, dislikes, and online habits.

Targeted Advertising in Action:
Ever searched for sneakers online and suddenly seen sneaker ads everywhere? That's targeted advertising based on your preferences.

Personalized Products and Services:
Companies design products specifically for you using the data they've collected. If you watch a lot of cooking videos, expect more food-related suggestions - it's like having a digital personal shopper.

Privacy Concerns:
While personalized services are convenient, they raise questions about privacy. We need to decide how much personal information we're comfortable sharing.

Protecting Your Digital Footprint:
So, what can we do? While we may not be able to completely avoid data collection, we can take steps to protect our digital footprint. Being mindful of privacy settings, using private browsing modes, and regularly reviewing and adjusting app permissions are ways we can take control of our online presence.

Fivrr is good. But many people using their real profiles often face a lot of problems. Many Nigerians I know personally have lost thousands of dollars to Fivrr and they couldn't do anything about it.

Personally, I prefer Upwork.

They say iron sharpens iron. I just checked out the company that the kid studies at, Streetcode, and I must they are a bunch of talented young guys. This is why the rate at which innovation is being achieved in Nigeria is slow. Our government still havent realized the inevitable advent into a technological age. As a country at our developmental level, we have a great opportunity to maximize our development by putting more efforts on technology, programming, artificial intelligence and science. This is the driving force of the technological age and the faster we can prepare our youths for it, the better the next generation of Nigeria will be.

I urge our fellow Nigerian entrepreneurs that when launching a startup, they should focus on solving a real problem. Having a tech startup isnt just about getting funded. Its about solving a real problem or creating opportunities that was otherwise not there. Andela brought Mark to Nigeria and I believe 2017 and 2018 is going to be a great year for startups in Nigeria.

In the same vein, the startup I work at, www.spotterhr.com, is using technology to reduce youth unemployment in Nigeria by connecting smart unemployed youths to employment opportunities at some of the biggest companies in Nigeria. You can take our free aptitude test here http:///SpotterTest

Eyah... Sorry to hear that man. He who has found a wife has found a good thing. Something new and wonderful will definitely turn up soon.

All this just goes to show how much value employers place on employable candidates. Which is why a lot of people now don't have jobs. And those that are recruiting are using very rigorous means to streamline their hiring process.

But nevertheless, If you're looking for job and it seems you're not getting your desired job, ask yourself this question: Am I employable? To find out if your employable, read this article - https://www.nairaland.com/3353048/employable

Whichever you go for, employers will pay you based on how much value they put on you. And employers only value employable candidates. Infact, you can be so good you will only want to work as contract staff because a lot of companies want you to join their team.... All this is in an ideal world sha!!!

Jobs/Vacancies / What Is The Biggest Job Seekers Face In NIGERIA? by dome777: 1:32pm On Sep 16, 2016
Do you agree with me that this is the Biggest Challenge Job Seekers Face in Nigeria?

Jobs/Vacancies / ARE YOU EMPLOYABLE??? by dome777: 1:20pm On Sep 16, 2016
The rate of unemployment in Nigeria has increased significantly, jumping from 10.4 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2015 to 12.1 per cent in the first quarter of 2016. This is according to a recent report by the National Bureau of Statistics (N.B.S), which further states that there are about 70 million, educated, able bodied Nigerians currently looking for gainful employment.

There are many reasons why the unemployment rate keeps increasing in Nigeria every year. One of these reasons is the lack of 24/7 power supply.

Nigeria is literally the giant of Africa with over 200 million citizens and millions of registered businesses. With such a population, business should be thriving thereby creating more jobs, but the only drawback is the lack of constant power supply.

Many foreign, small and medium sized businesses in Nigeria have begun downsizing because of the high cost of running generators and electric plants. Companies still want to operate and make profit but with as little manpower as possible.

Another reason for the high unemployment rate in Nigeria is because of the low standard of education.

There are over 200 accredited higher institutions in the country but majority of them have little or no facilities to train their graduating students, who according to the N.B.S, total over 200,000 per year. Another setback is that most of the lecturers and professors in even some of the best schools in Nigeria still teach theories and practices that have been improved upon thanks to technology.

These problems contribute directly to the unemployment rate in Nigeria, but at the same time, it presents an opportunity to those in the labour market because employers are looking for candidates with the right skills, education and intelligence. Simply put, top employers are looking for top candidates. cry

The real reason why you're still unemployed is because you have not taken the time to improve on yourself. The process of improving yourself is what employers and recruiters refer to as being employable. With the advancement in technology and the rise of online courses, you can easily update your skills and expertise and get certified from some of the best schools in the world. When you work hard to improve on yourself, you stand a better chance of standing out from the crowd and getting that dream job.

Another important factor that employers look for in candidates is how smart they are and by using tools like Spotter HR , an online assessment platform, employers can quickly filter out the smart candidates from the average ones.

Education / Re: 5 Foolish Things Guys Who Live In Same Room With Girls In Campus Do by dome777: 1:38pm On Sep 15, 2016
Hahaa, well I personally don't think it makes sense to live with a woman when you're not married. Although, my wife and I lived together in school and we love each other very much, still do .... grin

But that is a very rare case. Most times, you just end up using one another and you don't accomplish any reasonable thing because you've spent all the time having sex without studying and maybe worse, she gets pregnant and then one prophet says she cant abort it or she will die or something like that.

A whole lot of things can go wrong. My advice, face your studies, make money and keep your dating life organized and strictly dating, not living like married couples. Unless, you both share the same goals, are ambitious and have a plan for your lives. But these days, there are fewer people like that.
