I understand the the business climate is not "smiling" at entrepreneurs. But we still do it anyway. A true entrepreneur does not dwell on excuses, he sees through all the problems and creates a SOLUTION. Its a good thing Nigeria is filled with problems (I say this without meaning to sound like a prophet of doom). Where problems abound, money making becomes easier. He himself said the middle class spend mostly on food. What stops an entrepreneur from venturing into food business at any of the levels . There are MANY levels in food production !. As I always tell people, these things would always remain relevant; Agriculture/Food, Healthcare, Transportation, Electricity, Education/Knowledge acquisition/Training, Technology/Internet Solutions - In that order . They are the basic things man cannot do without, no matter how poor or disorganized the country or state is. Find a way to key into these areas directly or indirectly, from the source or at the finished product and you would never be poor. Be innovative, be smart, creatively solve a problem. Make these solutions affordable and easily reproduce-able and sell-able. Entrepreneurship truly isn't for everybody, its for those who don't let failure, disadvantages and unfavorable conditions weigh them down. Its for those who see things differently, because those who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, and Nigeria in this context are the ones that actually do. Stop giving excuses and take ACTION ! |

![]() This is the major reason why so many marriages fail. People attribute roles and cliches so much and are so strict with it that they forget the sole aim of getting married. They forget that they are a unit, a team. There is nothing wrong in having roles, but the primary focus is to collectively move the family forward as a team in all areas. Carry each others weights and carry each others loads, try and balance things up. I was reading the advice of a couple that have being married for 80+ years, they shared their major secret and it was as simple as "we were just kind to each other". As I always tell bae, whatever you can do for me, I can do for you, and I expect the favor to be returned. Constant positive reciprocity is the best way to keep a marriage strong. Men have being taught to place their egos before anything else, even before their own faults and weaknesses. Same reason why most fathers never apologize to their wives or kids when they wrong them. Men, you won't die if you do it, it won't reduce your position in the house(as long as its done for someone who understands that you are a team), it won't take anything out from you. Selflessness from both parties is the best way.It shouldn't be all about "me" and "my ego" all the time. We really need to revamp our thought process. |

sisisioge: bukatyne:Wise responses. Value system and mentality is what really defines us as humans. I was also surprised the pastor didn't raise the issue of them cohabiting. |
Understand that anyone who really loves you would not want to hurt you. People make mistakes, but any mistake that is repeated over a long period of time is no longer a mistake. I am not sure if I have ever said this on this forum, because I don't like seeing people get pulled apart, but in this case, please MOVE ON !! Why ? 1.He does not love you enough, a man who really loves you no matter the circumstances would not want to wait a long time to "seal" his relationship with you, especially one that has produced a child. 4 years is a long time, a child in the picture makes it look longer. 2. A man who really loves you would never hit you, especially after cheating on you.He was not even remorseful. 3. A man who can't be intelligent enough to earn a legitimate income is not fit to be a husband or father, what examples is he going to pass on to your kid(s). 4. Again, a man who loves you won't raise his hands on you, he would respect your feelings, he obviously does not respect your feelings. And him blaming it on marine spirits is complete hogwash. If indeed he has marine spirits tormenting him, its because he sleeps with prostitutes. You are in danger of being infected with spiritual and physical diseases and evil spirits. 5. A man who loves you won't wait for 3 days to apologize for a "mistake". Again, he has no respect for you or your feelings. His ego is very large, he doesn't care if he hurts you just to stroke it. On a second thought, if you still love him as you claim, and he still "loves" you as you claim and you want to still give it a chance to work, you have to give him conditions. 1. He has to get a legitimate job. 2. He has to stop keeping his current circle of friends, because most Yahoo guys are always recruited and trained by friends, they hardly start it on their own. 3. He has to stop smoking. 4. He has to start treating you like a Queen, and promise you would also treat him like a King. 5. He has to promise never, ever to raise his hands on you. 6. He has to stop abusing you physically and emotionally. 7. Tell him to tell you straight forward what his plans are for you, if he wants to marry you, when is it coming up !. If he sets a date that's less than 6 months, tell him its too short(because its a trap to tie you down and change again later). It has to be six months and above, but it should not be more than 8-10 months. In that time monitor him and see signs of improvements , if there is none, MOVE ON !! 8.Tell him that communication between each other has to improve, you should both be an open book, tell each other everything and anything....trust me you can't go wrong by doing this. Above all, no matter how much you claim to love someone, you have to first love yourself and understand your worth, if the person/partner does not give you, or respect you up to 70% of what you are worth, then they don't deserve you. This isn't about being proud or being too picky, you deserve the best.Nobody can get 100% in a partner, but at least 70% should be given and it should not contain vices like cheating, violence and Yahoo Yahoo. I wish you all the best. |

As much as I would caution the child not to do it again, I would proudly carry this "art", everywhere I go.I won't respray the vehicle or fix it . Its may sound weird, but that's just me. As long as it does not affect the mobility or optimum functioning of the vehicle, I am good. |
For Google playstore its a one time $25 fee For Apple app store , its a yearly $99 fee |
puredigital:I am glad you agree I am not lying . I am entitled to show it as something I have worked on, just as you are entitled as well. My issue with you is saying I am "claiming your effort" and I should remove it from my list, its not done. If you were the sole contributor to the site, you would have such right. Not in this case. I have invested too much time and effort into it,not to include it in my portfolio. This effort includes re-branding the site, and that includes the new logo I designed amongst other things. What you did was an "attack" and it sounded like a theft accusation, and it was wrong. My apologies if you feel I am "claiming" your work, but you didn't work on it alone. I hope you do understand. |
puredigital: I am not arguing with you, and I am not going to belittle your work either. Where you left the site almost 3 years ago(if I am correct), is not where it is currently, multiple people have worked on it to bring it to this point, and I have been a massive contributor. I and some other people have done massive backend and UI customization . And as for the app in the link above, developed from scratch by me.He might have built "another" app.But the one in that link above ?, built by me. And as for you saying I should respect your work, the fact that you built a part of something does not make you a sole builder of that thing, If I start listing how much work I have put into the success of that site we won't end here. And again, I was never here to argue with you, I just was not comfortable with the way you just came up and said "I should take it down", and made it look like I was lying about working on the site. Please phrase your comments properly next time, so it does not look like you are accusing someone of theft. |
sallyopy:Not arguing with him ma'am, just clarifying facts. |
puredigital:Oga shine your eye well oo, should we invite AY to this thread the owner of the site to clarify what you probably don't know ? You are not the only developer working on the site, or you want to claim you built the app too ?. My name and site link is visible in the menu AY and I have being going on for about 3 years now...since when the site was still smedata.com.ng . Please next time ask questions before you lay claims or blames. cc sallyopy |

I am not happy when people say things like "wait", "keep calm", in situations like this. Whether you choose to accept it or not, a marriage would blossom better and faster when both partners put each other first in everything. When things like this get tolerated they become full blown problems, and it usually gets harder to resolve . I once read a post here were madam refused to allow Oga do "strong thing" in the other room, because her mother always complains that they are loud and embarrassing her.The house belongs to you and your spouse, not anyone else. Sir, she is your wife, regardless of who is there. Please Sir, have a conversation with your wife.I don't understand why Nigerians don't understand boundaries, what is she(the cousin) doing in your bedroom ? She is not even your wife's direct sister...cousin sister ?. Even if she is your wife's immediate sister, she should not be in your bedroom for any reason, couples should please see this region as their "sacred place", its a forbidden zone for both of you alone !. Call me old school, but only your kids should have access to your bedroom, and it should be highly restricted, "once in a while" and monitored access. That being said, I don't understand why your wife ALWAYS wants her cousin to be there when she is dressing and undressing !. Then she covers up on noticing your presence ?. Something is off, I may be wrong but something is off. The most confusing is the issue of both of you no longer bathing together, I don't get it, is the cousin there when you are bathing together ? Are you sure, I mean very sure she is your wife's cousin ? I hope its not what I am thinking. From what I can deduce, its either you stay in a very small apartment(no offense intended) and your wife is just being extremely and awkwardly shy(the fact that she dresses in front of your cousin kind of rules out shyness) OR something very unthinkable is going on . Please answer my question about how confident you are that she is actually her cousin..... I don't mean to scare you, but its not normal at all If there is nothing "unthinkable" happening, probably you have been trying to resolve the issue the wrong way. Don't try to make her change or adjust with the attitude, instead ask her WHY she is acting the way she is. Asking and knowing why makes it easier to resolve. I don't mean to sound harsh, but whichever way you try to look at it, the cousin has over stayed her welcome. Anything that threatens romance and closeness between couples should be resolved with immediate effect, it should never be managed. |
