Hmmm. Can't wait for the country to be divided. Soon oil will be explored in the north and all those fools thinking that the north will be destroyed if we go our separate ways will be put to shame! In addition, we still maintain 70% of the country's landmass, agriculture will boom and the hydro electricity supply will be cut off to the south. That will mean 24 hour electricity for the north! Abeg GEJ hurry divide the country sharp sharp

If the government feels a policy it made is flawed, it takes a lot of balls for the same government to reverse the said policy!

Whether or not they know what they're doing, I think a reduction in business registration cost will help the government and the economy!

Small and Medium Scale Businesses who have been unregistered will be encouraged to do so and as the IFRS also requires Small and Medium Scale Enterprises to prepare financial statements and submit returns in compliance with its standards (IFRS) a reduction in the cost of registration will enable the government keep tabs on all SME's and it will encourage growth of small businesses in Nigeria...
Small entrepreneeurs will be able to afford registration and get all the benefits due to registered business and bearing in mind the fact that the growth of any developing nation is very dependent on the activities and growth and survival of its SME,s I think its a good development as it will encourage entrepreneurship

CareerRe: Graduates: What Has Been Your Experience Getting Jobs? by Donmams(m):
It simply baffles me to hear fools telling graduates to become entrepreneurs. Does one just wake up in the morning to become an entrepreneur? And who says we can all become entrepreneurs? If we all go into business who's going to be an employee?
It is not a sin to eschew entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship is a field for risk takers. Most human beings, emphasis on most, are NOT risk takers. Which is why most people prefer being employees knowing full well that their salary will come unfailingly at the end of the month.
All these mumus asking each and every one of us to become entrepreneurs should please shut the hell up!

PoliticsNational Conference:Goodluck Jonathan's Plot To Secede From Nigeria by Donmams(op):
As the race for 2015 heats up, GEJ is finding himself increasingly alienated from the North and South West:two key voting blocs for any aspirant.
It is becoming clearer to GEJ that he may not be able to clinch the PDP ticket in 2015 and is poised to secede and form a new country out of the South South.

Interestingly, GEJ has no plans to include the South East in his secession plans because of the South East's superior population figures.

GEJ is well aware that if he loses his bid for reelection, not only does he stand to lose power, but his freedom as well. His political advisers have informed him that it is more than likely the APC will field General Muhammadu Buhari as its Presidential candidate. GEJ is very much aware that General Buhari will waste no time prosecuting him for all of his offences while in Office should GEJ be unable to rig the elections in favour of the PDP in 2015.

GEJ's advisers are of the opinion that should the worst happen and the APC, cum General Buhari win the forthcoming elections in 2014, then he'll have no choice but to secede and continue as life president for the Niger Delta, thus evading possible prosecution.

It is towards this end that GEJ surprised the whole world by announcing on Independence Day, the setting up of the committee on National Conference.

With GEJ facing critical battles on many fronts, it is all or nothing for perhaps the future President of the Niger Delta.

The proposed National Conference is meant to promote the idea of autonomous regions having 100% resource control. It is expected that the north will oppose the idea of autonomous regions because of its weak financial state. The confusion and anarchy that will ensue is expected to provide GEJ with the cover he needs to break the Niger Delta away from the rest of the country. Simultaneously, the SE is also expected to declare a Sovereign state of Biafra.

GEJ'S closest advisers believe the north and South West has been weakened militarily and therefore cannot mount a military campaign to return both the Niger Delta and Biafran Republics back into Nigeria.

In order to gain international sympathy for their secession plans, the GEJ gov't intends to use the conference to provide legitimacy to their plans.

One thing is clear, as long as Nigerians reject Goodluck Jonathan at the polls, he is determined to ensure the end of Nigeria as we know it today.

PoliticsRe: Why Is GEJ Anti-north? by Donmams(op): 9:41am On Oct 06, 2013
Preceedo: The question is in two forms:

1. Why is GEJ anti-north?

2. Why is north anti-GEJ.

1.GEJ is against the north because they are making the nation ungovernable for him.

2: the north is against GEJ because they always want the president to come from them. A tribe that adds nothing to the national colouration. Bunch of mediocres. WHETHER THEY LIKE IT OR NOT THE DULL AND INCOMPETENT JONATHAN WOULD RULE TILL 2019.
You think the votes of the SS/SE is enough for GEJ? The fact is even you, with all your bigoted sense of reasoning knows fully well that GEJ can only win through rigging. The north will be ready for him in 2015. Let him try it!

Please just how did you come up with these conjectures

posts like these and attitudes like these will end up re-electing Jonathan in 2015

People will see these ridiculous conjectures, look around them and all they will see is a wicked silence by the Hausa Fulani establishment as Boko Haram blows up christains, all they will see is a wicked silence as Hausa Fulani Normads provokes the anger of Middle Beltan farmers.

All we see is a Hausa Fulani people who only feels comfortable when the Government is biased in their favour and any semblance of balance and fairness across all the ethnic groups or regions becomes anti-North which in reality means anti-Hausa/Fulani

Just carry on, all this will help re-elect Jonathan for another 4years!
You think BH are ghosts? No my friend. No such thing exists. All these murders and massacres are very much the handiwork of GEJ and his security chiefs. Didn't you notice that ever since Azazi and Yakowa died, terrorism in that state happened to die with them?

Is it a crime for the north to be anti GEJ? But i believe it is a crime for the president of the country to show his distaste for a certain section of the country for whatever reason! Yar'adua, a northerner created the ministry of the niger delta, let GEJ create a ministry of the North East if he truly is impartial.

A region that threatened to make the country ungovernable for a President who was duly elected and eventually they (the North) made good their threats! Dem never see anything undecided
Same old expired argument. If some northerners are behind the crisis in the north, tell me are the same northerners responsible for terrorism in the south? Are northerners responsible for kidnapping in the south east? Are northerners responsible for oil theft in the south south? If they are, how come GEJ is too spineless to arrest and prosecute those responsible for making the country 'ungovernable' for him? The fact is the ungovernable' nature of the country today is a deliberate ploy by GEJ to blame northerners and to aid his rigging plans for 2015
PoliticsWhy Is GEJ Anti-north? by Donmams(op): 8:37am On Oct 06, 2013
I have often wondered why GEJ cannot hide his hatred for the north. He is openly pursuing an agenda to emasculate the north and her people through deliberate gov't action and policy. These are some of the things GEJ has done to show just how much he hates the north.

1. He diverted money budgeted for dredging the River Niger to the Niger Delta immediately he was confirmed Acting President in 2010.

2. He claimed after the 2011 election that the millions of votes he garnered in the north were cast by the Igbos! Haba!

3. He is deliberately allowing the BH crisis in the north to fester in order to aid his rigging plans in 2015. Doesn't seem to care that many northerners are losing their lives on a daily basis.

4. In conjunction with lt. Gen. Ihejirika, has been waging a subtle campaign of terror in northern villages. The unexplained massacres going on sporadically in the north is being carried out by young Igbo commandos of the Nigerian Army to kill as many northern Muslims as possible. Of course with GEJ's tacit approval.

5. Over the past two years, thousands of cattle have been stolen from the North and moved to the South in order to start the breeding of cattle in anticipation of the break up of the country.

6. GEJ sanctioned the deliberate cleansing of all northern military officers from leadership positions in all military formations across the country.

7. GEJ has sidelined the north in terms of federal appointments and ministerial positions. All key ministries in the country are in the hands of southerners.

8. GEJ has stopped international flights from landing in Kano, prefering to give landing rights to Enugu instead.

The question is what is GEJ'S endgame? Does he intend to breakaway from the country in 2015 if he doesn't win reelection? Why is GEJ implementing a deliberate policy of destroying the north socially, politically, militarily and economically?

Whatever GEJ'S ultimate plan is, please let someone tell him that he will never succeed.

We know this is all a ploy to sustain the emergency rule to 2015. But let's be clear, no amount of emergency rule will make it possible for you to rig the elections in the north in 2015. Ask the f00l how Buhari held Nigeria to ransom from 1966-1999. Be prepared to see him repeat the same charges he posted about Buhari that he held Nigeria to ransom between 1966-1999. No facts in whatever they post all over the net. It is all lie, innuendo, and fabrication. Their belief is that, people tend to believe lies when lies are repeated over and over again.
So far i've been trying to keep an open mind. I'm hoping someone can give me one good reason why GEJ of all people is still better than Buhari. Perhaps there is more to the hate of Buhari than just primordal religious and ethnic considerations. I'm well aware many muslim elites and politicians hate Buhari. But i'm still scratching my head wondering why ordinary citizens, who bear the brunt of our corrupt leaders misrule, will hate a candidate who ostensibly, can get the job done. Am still waiting for someone to give me a valid reason. That Buhari is a religious zealot cannot be proven. Am still waiting for someone who can tell me that corruption will continue unabated if buhari is elected and his reasons for saying so. I want to believe someone has genuine axe to grind with Buhari. General Muhammadu Buhari is a person who is both passionately loved and hated by supporters and detractors alike. Those who love him do so for a variety of reasons. I am an ardent supporter of Buhari. I have two reasons why i believe he's presidential material.
1. Having held so many positions in his life, he has never been found to be corrupt.

2. He is known for discipline and expects results from himself and subordinates.

I believe the same goes for all of Buhari's supporters everywhere in the country.

My question is why do YOU hate Buhari? Yes, YOU. I would like to know why many people hate him on this forum. I understand why politicians and the elite hate him. But why do many ordinary Nigerians dislike Buhari?

Please do the thread a favour and provide evidence to support your reasons. I don't expect someone to claim Buhari is this or that and yet can't provide a simple shred of evidence. If you just hate him for hating sake please feel free to say so.

Your contributions are highly welcome.
Jobs/VacanciesGraduate Employment And Government Hypocrisy by Donmams(op): 9:15pm On Sep 30, 2013
I have grown sick and tired of the new gov't propaganda in town: blackmailing graduates into learning trades and other menial jobs simply because as the gov't says, there are not enough jobs to cater for Nigeria's huge army of graduates.

It pains me further to see some so called graduates accepting this blackmail and trying to absolve the gov't of blame for the current graduate unemployment levels.

The fact is that the Gov't has failed in its responsibility to provide jobs for graduates. No one says that govt must hire graduates, but what we need is for gov't to provide the proper environment for businesses to flourish.

Electricity supply is terrible. Infrastructure is non existent. All businesses in Nigeria today need to provide water, electricity, security and capital for themselves. You can't even get a loan from a bank because they ask for impossible collateral.

Is it a graduates' fault the gov't prefers to import every item under the sun at the expense of local industries and jobs?

A senior official of the USAID revealed last year that Nigeria would create 1.3million jobs directly if rice importation were to be halted. He said another 1 million direct jobs will be created if we simply produced and consumed wheat locally. Never mind the fact that indirect jobs will be 10 times that amount.

So what is the gov't waiting for? If the gov't can't be responsible enough to provide jobs and a conducive environment for job creation, they should stop insulting the sensibilities of graduates with cheap blackmail.

What's the point of spending over 25 years in school only to graduate and be told you cannot practice your profession? Enough with Government hypocrisy!
EducationPolytechnic Lecturers Resume Strike On Friday by Donmams(op): 2:05pm On Sep 30, 2013
The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) has shed further light on why it is resuming an indefinite strike on Friday.
The National Publicity Secretary of the union Mr. Chirman Clement Selchum who spoke to newsmen in Jos yesterday said the union is calling the nationwide strike because of “the frustrating inertia of the Federal Government to convincingly fulfill any of the promises and agreements reached with the union before the suspension of the earlier strike on 17th July, 2013.”
Selchum said the attitude of government show it was not serious and that the National Executive Council (NEC) of the union after its 75th meeting held at the Federal Polytechnic, Bida, Niger State resolved that the strike would be total until government shows committed to honouring the agreement it reached with it.
He cited other areas in which the Federal Government has failed the polytechnic system to include “The CONTISS 15 Migration for Lower cadres, Needs Assessment of Polytechnics, release of white paper of visitation to Federal polytechnics, discrimination between polytechnics and university graduates in job placement and career progression and the constitution of Governing Councils to Federal polytechnics earlier omitted.”
Selchum said ASUP would not go back on the planned strike except these issues are addressed by the government.

PoliticsOffa Re-run: Protests As Gov. Ahmed Swears In Rigged Candidates by Donmams(op): 7:06am On Sep 04, 2013
Kwara State Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed yesterday inaugurated Prince Abdulwaheed Olanipekun of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the newly elected council chairman of Offa Local Government Area.

Ahmed was inaugurating the chairman just as members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state continued their protest demanding the release of the original result of the election which they claimed was won by their candidate, PrinceSaheed Popoola.

PDP candidate was declared winner by the State Independent Electoral Commission’s (KWASIEC’s) chairman, Dr. Uthman Ajidagba, with 35,937 votes as against APC’s 20,161. But the APC insisted that preliminary results collated by its agents showed that the party won in 11 out of the 12 wards with 11, 526 votes as against PDP’s 4, 688.

APC members in their hundreds waving brooms, the party’s symbol, and chanting anti-government slogans marched to the KWASIEC’s office Monday but were prevented from getting close by riot policemen and an Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) stationed at the premises.

They continued the protest yesterday by marching to the palace of Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Zulu Gambari, but they could not gain access to the palace as all the gates were reportedly locked up.

From there, they marched to Ita Amodu road, Taiwo, Unity and Challenge, before heading to the APC secretariat at Offa road.

Speaking with Daily Trust, the interim APC chairman in the state, Comrade Sola Iji, saidthe protest would continue until KWASIEC releases what he called the authentic resultof the election.

He described the swearing in of Olanipekun as “fraudulent”, saying, “As far as we are concerned, they (PDP) have not won any election and the true result should be given to us. At the right time, we will get our mandate”.

On Monday, Ahmed congratulated the PDP candidate on his victory at the election, advising those who have grievances with the result to follow legal procedure in seeking redress.

At the swearing-in ceremony, the governoradvised the new chairman to fulfil all his electioneering promises and take urgent steps to implement people-friendly programmes.
