@Ricadelide Let me explain something here. I am not out to prove that this man is of God or not. I am only against this fearful and ignorant attitude of christians which causes them to hide behind statements like these are the last days so as to excuse their powerlessness. All things should be judged in the light of God's Word. And in that regard, he is not agianst us. And like Jesus will say, leave the man alone! You do the good works. Of course i do not agree with some of his doctrines but not just his; its just the same thing with MFM, RCCG or deeper life doctrines. But i love them all. |
Yep. |
Every true member of Christ Embassy who has been through foundation school should have gone through this. |
You know, looking from the story of Miriam, leprousy is used to refer to corruption and decay. There is decay eating up certain men of God and churches in Nigeria that i know. We only hear that these men of God used to be this and used to be that. They may even move around the place hoping that they still carry that grace and presence but a short stay with them will reveal to you the level of decay. They are broke of power, that grace and annointing they once knew is dried up because of the misuse of their tongues. They now seek positional or even political authority to make up for this loss. It is not too late to join the queue of use to bes. The tongue the bible says can set a whole house on fire. It can destroy all what you've built for years. Be careful how you use it. That same tongue can bring blessings and increased grace your way when you use it right. |
What We Believe OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH We believe that the Bible contains the inspired and infallible Word of God (2nd Timothy 3:16, 2nd Peter 1:20-21) We believe that there is only One God eternally existing in Three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:5-6; 1Corinthians 8:6, Genesis 1:26, Matthew 3:16&17). We believe in the Deity of Christ (John 4:1-4, 10:30, Heb 1: 1-5). He was born of a virgin (Matthew 1:18-25, Luke 1: 30-35). He was conceived of the Holy Spirit (Luke 1: 30-35). He died (John 19:30-35) He rose again from the dead (John 20:25-29, Luke 24:36-40). He ascended into heaven bodily (Acts 1:9-11, 1 Thessalonians 4: 16). We believe in the rapture of the Church and the Second Coming of Christ ( 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Matthew 24:29-30). We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is by repentance and faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ (Acts 3:19, Luke 24:47, Ephesians 1: 7). We believe that regeneration by the Power of the Holy Ghost through the Word of God is essential for personal salvation (Titus 2:5, John 3:3-5, Ephesians 5:25-27). We believe that the redemptive work of Christ provides healing for the body and salvation for the soul of everyone that believes (1 Peter 2:24, Acts 3:16, Acts 9:32-35). We believe that when an individual receives the Holy Ghost, he/she receives divine enablement (Acts 1:8; 2:4). We believe in the sanctifying Power of the Holy Ghost (Rom 15:16). We believe in the final resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the former to eternal life and the latter to eternal judgement (Rev 20:11-15). OUR STATEMENT OF COMMITMENT We are convinced that the Gospel is God’s only saving power (1 Timothy 1:15, Romans 1 16-17). We are convinced that the Gospel is the answer to all human problems (John 3:16). We are convinced that the Gospel is committed to our trust (1 Timothy 1:11). We are committed to the Gospel. We are convinced that Jesus Christ is the Only Way. We are convinced that the Gospel is the Power of God (Romans 1:16-17). |
shinystar:I did not say pastor Chris is supporting this man, I am still waiting to hear from Pastor Chris. He hasn't spoken yet. He will soon speak. I might let you know when he does. Well, not every pastor can or should endorse a candidate. There are gifts and there are callings. There are men of God and there are men of God. It is obvious that Pastor Chris is a man of God with a difference. Like i said, it should be as the Spirit leads. Neutral? In Nigeria? Ha ha, we have too much stake in this country to be neutral. If a pastor can guide his flock in other areas of life, why not in something as important as their choice of a leader. |
TV01:To expose darkness is the same thing as putting on the light but definitely not the same as fighting darkness. You are the light, just show the light. To fight darkess is wasted effort without knowledge. Just put on the light and the darkness will disappear! let them see your good works and glorify God. You do the right thing and they will learn. All this hatred you are spitting will not change anything. You guys talk about yourselves being watchmen. Well, i too am one, even though not of the same kind as you. it is important for you to undersyand that there is order in the house of God. He put those leaders there; you didn't. There are gifts and there are callings. Be sure that you recieved clear instuctions form the Lord to do what you are doing otherwise, you will be sorry for functioning were you are not called or gifted to function. If you are called to do what you are doing now, the power of God will be with you and there will be results. If you are not, that same power is against you right now. Do you remember Miriam? Numbers 12: 1And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman. 2And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it. 3(Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.) 4And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out. 5And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth. 6And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream. 7My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house. 8With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses? 9And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed. 10And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous. Did Moses do right thing by marrying the Ethiopian Woman? I don't know. But was it Miriam's place to speak against the man of God even though she herself was a prophetess? Well, the result of her action can answer that question. |
Let us assume for a moment that these men are evil and do not deserve the followership they enjoy. If God were to give you all their members, can you pastor them? Can you carry their burden? If you see trouble in God's house, it is not a time for you to broadcast it or mock and rejoice over it. This is the Church of Jesus Christ for God's sake! The bible says, Tell it not in Garth! These people need God's light and grace. Go on your knees in mourning and intercession for the church of Christ. I have been a bit involved in ministry and i can tell you, it is one thing to know what should or should not be done and another to actually do the right thing. When you know how to weep in God's presence for His church and His ministers out of a pure heart, you will not tear them down that way openly on the internet because your soul would have gone out for them in prayer and your eyes will begin to see only visions (of the revived church of Christ) which you have recieved from the Lord. The Holy Ghost will tame your tongue. Your speach will become those of praise and thanksgiving to God for the glory which though not yet seen, is sure to come according to what the Lord showed you. When you become a man of prayer, you talk less. You choose your words because they are powerful and you will have love and blessing to give to the world. Jesus said, I will build my Church. That is His job, Not yours. Do not try to fight darkness, Just put on the light and the darkness will disappear. |
BRMJane is just cool, She has the Word of God as her foundation. She cannot be decieved. You are the one who looks decieved to me. |
shinystar:Says who? shinystar:I understand your arguement, quite reasonable. But i think i know a few aspirants that not only have a vision but are also passionate about their visions. I think the problem lies with our believing that it is only those big names or former military leaders that can lead our country. I once asked a friend who he will vote for in the coming elections and he said, ah! the results have already been decided. Well this is the mentality that we Nigerians must do away with. He actually said his choice did not matter and that PDP will produce the president. Well, i told him whom i prefered because i have heard him speak of his vision and his passion for Nigeria. Ah! he is good but i dont think he stands a chance. Do you see where the problem lies? Rather than go out and vote for the person of your choice, the one whom you think has a well defined vision and agenda for our country, we are tempted to vote for the seemingly popular or big names as if they have promised you political position if they win. I remember Pastor Chris Speaking to one of the Presidential aspirants(the one i prefer) saying, I have some questions here for you, but because of time(the meeting with so much in the agenda, was almost coming to a close ). That is what it should be, we must ask questions. They must spell out clearly their plans and visions that are practicable. Of course a Man of God can endorse a candidate if that candidate proves to have what it takes to lead Nigeria to the next level and of course, if he is led of God to do so. I tell you, do not vote for the person you think will win as that is a foolish thing to do, but vote for the person you think we deserve as president. |
Like always, You are jumping into conclusion without searching the scripture for yourself. Jesus took upon himself the sins of the world and as such died the death of a sinner. He was taken to hell like every other sinner but while there, he became a rebel. Passage Ephesians 4:9-10: 9(What does "he ascended" mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions[a]? 10He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.) NIV Passage Ephesians 4:9-10: 9(Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? 10He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) Eph 4:8 says he led captivity captive. another says, he led captives in his train. This refering to those to whom jesus went to unlock their cells. After making a show of satan and his cohorts in hell, he led these ones out of hell victoriously. These were those who though righteous could not enter heaven as they awaited the redemption of their souls. They waited at Abraham's bosom, though in hades. He brought them out of their prisons and they were raised with him, appearing to many in Isreal after the resurrection and later ascending into heaven with Jesus. |
The reason anybody will suggest that Jesus was a sinner is that he does not know who Jesus really is. Jesus is not totally human like some here have suggested. He was born of the Divine, incorruptible, eveliving Word of God. This Word is what brought forth Jesus. His life came from the Word while His body came from his mother. He was 100% man and 100% God while on earth. He was the Word of God made flesh. He came to do the will of the father. Whatever he did was perfect and just. If it was not right before he did it, it became right because He did it. He is the standard for all righteousness. He was God in human flesh. |
Backslider, i am, not surprised at this your work; May the Lord have mercy on your soul. Actually, i have come across some of those articles you are copying and pasting. I am not supprised your spirit is in so much agreement with that of those who inspired of Satan, go on the the internet to make mokery of God's servants and the move of God's Spirit. I am not saying these men have no sin, what i am saying is that yours isn't the Spirit of Christ but of the anti-christ! Resist him and let him let go of you! |
@Backslider, You are saying it is God who used the Prophet to appoint a ruler because you saw it in your bible; you were not there when God spoke to the man. If you were alive then you could have been against it. What makes you think God isn't still speaking. In the days of Arch Bishop Idahosa He would ask a governorship aspirant in Edo state to kneel down before him in front of a camera then laying his hands on the man, he would pronounce him winner saying, 'You have won in Jesus name!' Every other contender will know its over, as papa has spoken. And so shall it be. Talk about dominion ![]() |
I think we should get involvd in the politics of our country. Jesus said to go into the world and teach all nations. We are to teach them what is right and intruct them on the right way of governance. We are to show them how to live. In the last national youth conference in lagos, Pator Chris did not mince words as he reprimanded the polititians where the need arose and praised those who had contributed to the development of society. I tell you God has given us a voice and dominion in this Nation and it is not for nothing. it is for establishing his kingdom here on earth; His ways of doing things. In this coming elections, we will do our best to vote out those whom we percieve have the intention of ruining this country and of course by the Spirit make those that should be there to be there. We have prayed that for those who have the intention of manipulating the election to suit their wicked intentions, even their very breath will be against them. We have prayed, it is now time for action. In God ways, it is the prophet that appoints who the king should be and not vise versa. We have not come this far to be quiet! |
Well, they should if they are led of God to and of course, it matters what weight they can pull. And as u know, it wouldn't do you much good if an uninfluential pastor is behind you. Prof Pat Utomi was at the Last National youth conference in lagos with Pastor Chris. Also prsent were Femi Pedro, Deputy Governor of Lagos state, one other governorship aspirant in lagos(i'v 4gotten his name) and other polititians. Pastor Chris has not hidden his intention to swing the votes as he has promised to communicate who his members will vote for and who they should not vote for. I think this man of God can pull some weight. |
@Brownbaby, Nice one there. |
Neither. Just a christian worker who trusts in the word of truth above all else. |
Buchi- his songs are so sweet. They go deep into the soul and they are full of God's living word. |
Preach the kingdom of God. Share the love of christ. Believe in the saving healing and sanctifying power of the Spirit and the Word of God. |
@Backslider. If u check properly you will notice i did not say that prosperity moves God. How can it, when He owns the whole world? Prosperity of the saints moves the kingdom forward! If you think it is chicken change that puts the gospel on satelite you can think again. My church has been involved in world evangelism by satelite and i am a part of it. I have discovered the reason why God prospers his kids. Are you involved in any substantial way? Is your money a part of this move of God in deeper life? Actualy, I am not suprised you came up here again to criticize me. You will not talk that way if your money is involved in the kingdom in any meaningful way. For your information, Pastor Kumuyi believes in prosperity and so do i. Why will i be afraid of prosperity when my heart is towards God and the advancement of His kingdom. |
If the Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwell in you, that same Spirit shall vitallize your mortal body -Romans 8:11. If you have recieved the Holy Spirit, ensure that the above quote remains in your heart and in your mouth 24/7. Speak them out loud to yourself as often as possible. Say out loud: the Holy ghost is alive in me; i refuse to be sick or infected! Let it get into your spirit until it is the only way you can think. Then the Holy Ghost will take full control of your body. He will get into your blood and cleanse it of every infirmity. You will not die but live to declare the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! I love you. God bless. |
Abstinence is good advice but it isn't a cure. We still have that mighty burden removing, yoke destroying power of the Holy Ghost with us! Jesus is alive and He is the same yesterday today and forever. Be it cancer, epilepsy, AIDS, paralysis, deafness or blindness. The name of Jesus is above every name in heaven, on earth and beneath the earth And at that name of Jesus, every knee must bow. Can you shout Amen somebody! The devil is a defeated foe. Get to a bible believing and manifesting church. Get into God's word and begin to call yourself what He calls you. By His stripes, you were healed over 2000 years ago. You can also visit www.Christembassy.org where you can register and attend the healing school of christ embassy. It is free of charge. God bless. |
And did you say i was not a christian because i drank? Now isn't that outrageous? Well before i ask you to prove what you just said, i will ask you this question which you must answer correctly if truely you understand this message of salvation: When did the disciples(apostles) of Jesus get born-again? Was it while Jesus was with them? Or at his death? His resurrection? when? Please answer this question. |
@ backslider. Have you seen this scripture before? Colossians 2:16 -Let no man therefore judge you in meat or in drink, |
All things are lawful but not all things are expedient(helpful). The Apostle Paul in the above quote brings us understanding concerning the liberty we have in Christ. According to him, you might not be condemned by any law for doing a thing but such a thng might not help you in your christian walk. The bible does not expressly condemn drinking or smoking in the scripures, but in my opinion, they are like hindrances or weights in our christain walk. For instance, there is no law that says, thou shalt take a bath daily; but you know that failure to take a bath will hinder your work as a christian worker who is meant to be reaching out to others. I am not in the same school as those who try to defend the Lord by saying that the wine He changed water into was actually fruit juice or that when he was found eating and drinking with sinners He was actually drinking coke or seven up. I let the Word speak for itslf. However i will like to say that in our society of today, i do not subscribe to a life of boozing as a christain. I used to be a heavy drinker as a non- christain but after i got saved, i still had the temptaion to drink when some of my worldly friends came around. Nevertheless, i did not back out from following the Lord; i kept pressing on as i tried to love Him more. Thank God for the church i found myself in. They did not give up on me or drive me away. I will worship God in the beauty of holliness with tears running down my eyes as i felt the presence of the Holy Spirit move all over me. I will listen to God's Word and each time i did, i felt deep hunger for God stirred up within me because i knew i wanted more of Him. It came to a time when i knew i had to make a decision. I did not want the devil accusing me anymore, telling me that the love and joy i feel inside is as a result of a bottle of beer i took some minutes ago and not the Holy Ghost. I don't want him telling me that i was bound to any habbit. I wanted to know that it was actualy the boldness of the Spirit i had within me and not dutch courage. One night, while sitting with my friend, i made the decision in my heart: no more star, no more stout, no more palm wine. I shall be full of only the Holy Ghost; nothing else. So that when i recieve a vision or prophecy, i will be sure it is the Holy Ghost giving it and not Star or 'small stout' working on my mind. It is important where you find yourself at any point in time as a christian because you are meant to be a light unto the world. In my church, i was taught through the Holy Ghost how not to crave for the things which the world lust after nor the so- called pleasures they go after but for more of God's Word. I saw no need for such hanging-out, night parties and so on and we are adviced against such gatherings. If ever i found myself in such a place, it had to be for a reason and as such, i maintain a godly disposition. I distinguish myself With christian piety. There has to be a difference between those who are serving the Lord and those who serve themselves. Not only was i free from condemnation within me, my testimony among those who are outside became worthy of praise. My light shone ever more brightly as it became easier for me to testify of my new life without having to argue my way out of the condemnation of people who do not understand why a christian should drink because as far as they are concerned, you cannot sit there drinking with them, talking about rubbish and then a moment later, try to give them God's Word. Those who are addicted to drinking started with just a sip. I advice those who will like to live and minister effectively as christians to avoid strong drink! God bless you. |
And the people said, AMEN!!! |
Someone asked me to show him from the bible where it says that the Holy Spirit weeps. I might not be able to show you in black and white but comparing scripture with scripture you will understand. In my experience, while in prayer, i have heard him weep for the world, for sinners and for the afflicted and sick. I sometimes hear him weep when i ignore Him and go doing things my own way. The bible tells us that Jesus wept at the grave of Lazarus. And remember He had said, 'i do what i see my father do'. The bible also says about Jesus that He is touched with the feelings of our infirmity. The bible lets us know that the Holy Spirit can be grieved. It is not strange therefore to hear that that gentle Holy Spirit weeps in compassion with and over us since the three persons- father son and Holy ghost are one. Jesus is the express image of the father's person and the fullness of the God- head dwells in Him. He said, 'if you have seen me, you have seen the father.' If you would read Isaiah 63:7-9 it talks about the angel of His presence (which is the Holy Ghost) who carried the Israelites through the wilderness, protecting them. It says in verse 9 that 'in all their distresses, He too was distressed.' So He does express such emotions. And as for whether i look like the Holy Spirit? My answer is in the words of John. He said, 'as He is, so are we in this World'. Do Jesus and the holy spirit look alike? Emphatically yes! So? |

@backslider. What saves a man is not that his works are perfect but that he has recieved a new heart and a new Spirit from the Lord. This spirit is the teacher. He knows how to teach and build his children in the Word. The priests could not enter the holiest of holies but according to the bible, the high priest did(no one else apart from the high priest went in) once every year to offer sacrifice for himself and for the sins of the people because he was anointed to do so. Jesus our eternal high priest went into the heavenly holiest of holies once and for all to offer his blood on the mercy seat for the sins of the whole world including yours. He is still in heaven making intercession for the saints whom as long as they stay in him and trust him, he will save to the uttermost. This is the gospel message of love. The bible tells us that God is not counting men's sins against them(for if he did on man will stand) and as such, he has commited unto us the ministry of reconciliation(not condemnation) of which i am an ambassador. Only the Holy Spirit can bring the fear of God upon God's people. That is why we as christians must be full of Him and walk in his power. So rather than hate and curse, we persuade men, 'be ye reconciled to God'. So When you speak in love, they will hear the voice of the Holy Spirit and fear and be converted. |
I love you too. God bless u. |
Ha ha, I knew you were going to quote those scriptures even before i posted mine. Who were those He spoke against? Scribes and Pharisees. The 'holier than thous'. Those who will not be seen eating with sinners. Those who thought they were too holy for christ's salvation. Those who will quote the law here and there so as to appear to be righteous in the sight of others. Those who will appear outwardly holy but filled with bitterness and envy. They wear long white robes and carry long 'holier than thou' faces. They have not entered the kingdom yet with their rules and traditions they prevent others from entering. They are the lost sheep of Israel, children of Abraham according to the flesh, heirs of the promise but they knew not God. Even though they were not considered to be sinners, as they did not do those things that would make you think of them as such; their eyes were full of all manner of lusts. They criticize miracles and call for investigation. They envied the master and accused Him of being a false prophet because the crowds followed Him as He will not drive sinners away from himself. Nothing pleases them, even the salvation and healing of a soul will provoke them to envy. They were full of condemnation and as such, they condemned others. They are in the church today and together with Jesus i say, woe unto you pharisees!! Jesus did not condemn the harlots, drunkards, sinners, tax collectors, he loved them, embraced them and saved them. |
