nyamss:What part of the world are You? _If I may ask |
Quote from Tayo D: Thanks for taking the first step towards dispelling this error that donnie is propagating on these pages. I have always been fascinated and eventually heart broken by many men of God whose primary calling is evangelism, but are so eager to keep a following that they delve into the office of a teacher and the end result is error like this one. While I have not heard Pastor Chris teach on this subject, I am not too surprised that he has taken this view because he tends to emulate Benny Hinn a lot, and Benny Hinn's teaching is just totally wacko some times. The attention he gives to the person of the Holy Spirit goes way beyond what I see revealed in scriptures. I'll explain this further in my answers to donnie. Besides, this is not about Benny Hinn. So you now assign ministries to men of God ? You are bold o! But i do not want to become as bold as you. Quote from Tayo D: I learnt very well from my Master Jesus. The testimony He received is that He taught as one having authority. He made categorical statements based on scriptural premises. That is more than I have seen you do so far. Really? Quote from Tayo D: Please try to think about what you are saying a little bit. No one ever said the man Jesus was here in the O.T. As you rightly pointed out, the man Jesus was born by Mary in Bethlehem. The one who manifested in the O.T. is the One called the Son of God which the Bible testifies about in Micah 5:2 whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. To claim that Jesus (used loosley to mean the Word of God or the second member of the Godhead) was never manifested in the OT is the height of abysmal ignorance. While I intend to prove this more later on, I will first bring your attention to His manifestation in the Garden of Eden where He came to meet with Adam and Eve and they hid from Him. Genesis 3:8 - And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. Did you notice that it was the voice of God that was doing the walking? Who is the voice og God if not the Word of God - Jesus! I'm not unaware of that manifestaion of the Word. You must understand that the Word of God is God. You do not seperate a man from his word. His words are a representation of his personality. If you heard my voice over the radio, will you say: Donnie's voice said so so and so? Will you not say: Donnie said? I agree that the voice of God was the Word of God and in fact God himself. But not the man Jesus. That voice was known from the beginning, by the prophets of old and by the angels. That was the voice they heard walking ( or talking) in the garden. They heard the voice but they saw no form. Quote from Tayo D: Now here you are making categorical statements without any scriptures to prove it. Will you please read in full John 1:18 I quoted earlier to see the entire picture. John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.We are told here that no one has ever seen God in all His glory, but all the manifestations we see of Him is from no other but the Son who makes Him known. I will go into more depths on these different manifestations when I talk about Jesus calling Himself the "I AM" as Telly B mentioned earlier. I do not think there is anything i have said that i cannnot prove with scripture. The Son was manifested in due time to show us the father. He was the express image of the father's person. But he promised to send us the Holy Spirit in His place who will hear from Him and show unto us. This Holy Spirit is the one on the earth today making the presence of the father and of Jesus real to the world. Quote from Tayo D: So? That does not mean He has ever been a manifestation of God in the physical which is the bone of contention here. Jesus also came from the Father which is the same thing as the phrase "proceedeth from the Father". John 16:28 I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father. Now do you notice the word again in bold? What does that mean to you? Doesn't that tell you that He has been in the world before and was going back as a matter of habit? Again means this is not the first time I am doing this! The scripture refering to the Holy Spirit as that which proceedeth from the Father cannot be used in the same way for Jesus because Jesus unlike the Holy Spirit proceeded once and is in heaven now. Take note of the term Proceedeth(proceeds) as used for the Holy Spirit. Quote from Tayo D: I just can't wait. I hope you will think through scriptures yourself and not come here to regurgitate that which you have been taught! My friend, If enter in to unwholesome arguements. I only share that which i am a partaker of. I have no business discussing what i have not personally experienced bother I have been taught by God and by His teachers whom He hath annointed andappointed. |
Quote form Telly B: @donnie, I'm sorry to observe that you use a fallacy to nullify what you perceive as a lie! Ol' boy, wetin happen to you? This is a fallacy. You cannot defend this with a single verse of Scripture; because as far as the very Person of the Son of God is concerned, He existed as uncreated. The Logos is not the Spoken Word as if God spoke Him into existence. He is the Logos because He is the very expression of God Himself; as Heb. 1:3 calls Him: "the brightness of [God's] glory, and the express image of [God's] person". How come i am just seeing this? I guess you couldn't even wait for me to complete or fully edit my post before you coming up with your reply. Quote form Telly B: I disagree with you on both inferences. First, there were several manifestations of Jesus in the OT. Remember Paul's reference in I Cor. 10:4 -- "And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ." 1 cor 10:4 is not sufficient reference to prove that there were manifestaions of Jesus in the Old testament. Firstly, i will like to correct the idea that all references to the Word Christ in scripture refer to the man Jesus. Studying your bible, you will find that the Word Christ was sometimes used to refer to the Church as in: Acts 4:26 The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ. Sometimes, to The man Jesus and at other times, to the annointed one and his the annointing as in: Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me( notice here the use of the word which instead of who). Paul also used the term christ many times to refer to the organism which has Jesus as head and the church as body. example: Ephisians 2:6 5Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved 6And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: Colossians 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. Now, back to the scripture you quoted, i hope you see why i do not have any problem with it. I see it as refering to that presence, power and hiding place of God that followed them through the wilderness by the agency of the Holy Spirit. Paul very often used the term Christ as He did not get to know and relate with the man Jesus as the other apostles did, except through the annointing; but he knew and was very familiar with that presence of Christ in the person of the Holy Spirit. That revelation though, was most sufficient and far more exceeding in glory. Today, many have visions of Jesus appearing to them. Jesus is one man and he is in heaven. The Holy Spirit is that conveyor of the presence of God and of Jesus our Lord. Quote form Telly B: Again, Jesus actually existed before He was born in Bethlehem. Yes he existed, but as the Word! John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. Quote form Telly B: Remember what He told the Jews: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am." (John 8:58 ). He has always existed long before He was born. True, He was not called "Jesus"; but that doesn't mean that He was not in existence before His incarnation and birth No No No, a thousand times No! You are getting it wrong there. Jesus was not by his reply refering to his existence as long before Abraham or anything like that. He was actually telling them: hey! I am God!. The use of the Word I AM rather than I was is not a gramatical error. He used the very Words Jehovah used in introducing Himself to Moses at the burning bush and they understood Him. That is why they picked up stones to stone Him, accusing him of making himself God. If he was saying that he actually lived before abraham, they could have just laughed and called him a mad man. Quote form Telly B: Two things you would have to understand here, my dear donnie. The Holy Spirit is quite consistent in His manifestations; I beg to disagree. The Holy Spriit is not consistent in His manifestaions: John 3:8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit. The Greek word used for the word Spirit in the Greek is the same one used for wind Do not think you can always predict the Spirit or His manifestaions. He operates and manifests himself as He wills and many times, he beats our imaginations. Quote form Telly B: and He was not the One referred to as the angel of the LORD or the Angel of His Presence. It was rather the Lord Jesus in His pre-Incarnation that we find as the Angel of the LORD Again, i do not agree. Tell me, is it easier to refer to Jesus as this Angel( messenger) of God's presence rather than the Holy Spirit whom Jesus Himself said the father will send in His name? I have a lot to say on this, but till later. Quote form Telly B: I think that before we persuade ourselves of anything at all, it is necessary to go back to Scripture and be sure what principles we hold. Well, do i appear as not to have studied sufficiently? Quote form Telly B: I know that Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is one of those who make this serious mistake; and you're sharing his views rather than a well-rounded study of God's Word. So, I'll be waiting for what next you might come up with. However, your persuasions here are flawed. Hmmm. Do you still think so? |
TayoD:NO! That is a lie. I could have let you go ahead without stopping you if you did not start making such catergorical statements. The manifestaions of deity in scriptures have not always been Jesus. As a matter of fact Jesus was never manifested in the old testament. He could not have because there was no Jesus until He was born in bethlehem. No angel ever saw one called Jesus. That is why there was so much joy in heaven at his birth. Not becasue the one they knew in heaven had finaly come to the earth, NO! But becasue a wonder hath taken place; the Word, which was from the beginning, hath now become flesh! Before his birth, He was the Word! HE exisited as the Word in the bossom of the father and not as a seperate entity from the father. The Word from the mouth of God is what became Jesus. The manifestaions of deity in the old testament were not Jesus but the Holy Ghost- That Angel of His presence. The messenger of God's presence. The one who takes the presence of The father to where His presence is needed as the father never leaves His throne. Jesus called the Holy Ghost that which proceedeth from the father. You quoted the scriptures as saying that no man hath seen God at anytime to support your stand. Well if you will study the scriptures you will see that it must have meant: seeing God in His glory. Because there are several places in scripture where God was manifested to men, appearing in the form of a man. Genesis 32 24And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. 25And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. 26And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. 27And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. 28And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. 29And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there. 30And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved. Jacob knew that that could not have been an ordinary man or angel. The lesser is blessed by the greater. This could only have been made possible by the Holy Spirit. Read Gen 18. You will find the story of three men (one of whom was the Lord Himself) who came to visit Abraham. Abraham entertained them, offered them food and they ate. When you understand what i am sharing, it will revolutionize your christian walk! It will clear a lot of doubts you might have had. You'll hear more from me later. God bless. |
Do not speak for that child. He is waitng on people like me and you to come to his aid and show that God is still alive. We are the voice, hands and feet of Jesus. We are His representatives in the world today. |
Worked up? Nothing could be farther from the truth. In an ideal society, Islam would not stand the power that is in the gospel of Jesus chirst. Perhaps you are refering to our brothers in Northern Nigeria who are constantly being terrorised by Islamic killers. They might sometimes get worked up. |
Because that was not the Lord's prayer . It was a format for prayer he gave to them. He said, after this manner pray. He did not say, Pray this prayer. I have looked at the lines and a lot does not apply to the new testament maturing believer. |
I do not pray that prayer |
Love you too man!! |
Nice one there. ![]() But i hope u got a pastor over you now. |
Good question there! |
@KDK KDK:Even though i am not in agreement with these MFM kind of prayers, i am totally in agreement with their fervency and the importance they attatch to prayer, fastings and the power of God. Unlike some who think becoming a man of God is all about wearing a suit, going to theological school overseas, carrying a microphone and speaking big grammer. However, i am really not comfortable with your present posture as having to speak on behalf of your GO. I think that is a dangerous thing to do. Inasmuch as you might want to correct certain misconceptions people might have, to play such a role as this is unacceptable to me. I hope you will understand me. There are certain things that are way too high for you and I. 1 luv. |
Someone called those kind a new kind of prayer that is very powerful and i looked at him with pity. If only he knew that the old method of prayer has not changed. The Apostles prayed to the father in the name of Jesus and had their requests(which were in line with God's plan of salvation for mankind ) granted. I do not spend my time praying against demons. I simply cast them out for they have already beeen defeated -2000 years ago. There are some other things i do not pray for: Money - or against demons who make holes in pockets ( i simply give and do God's word concerning finances). Healing(I put God's word to work- declaring that i was healed 2000yrs ago and therefore insist that i remain healed ). Prosperity( i was born into prosperity when i met Jesus). Deliverance( i have been delivered form the kingdom of darkness and already translated into the kingdom of God's dear son). I am even aware that many denominations in Nigeria, even the very large ones whom i did not expect have begun to adopt this 'new' methods of prayer. But before the rapture, God's people will grow into what He expects of them and come into their inheritance in the mighty name of Jesus! |
Haleluyah! Amen. |
I know there are many of you on this thread who would to have me see things the way you do from a honest heart just like i know that there are some who search for every opprtunity to pour out the frustrations and hatred they had stored up inside for so long. The fact is that while a lot of you respond to my posts the way you do because you do not clearly understand my point, others pretend not to undrstand so as to fulfil their agenda. @thesilent 1 While i must say here that i am of the opinion that it is sinful for a christian to think of himself more highly than another christian, i however do not subscribe to the attitude of keeping silent when you have the Word in your mouth to declare. Loveworld is not a fellowship that sees itself as better than others, however, the Word that we trust and believe in seperates us from those who do not believe in the same. Even among those who believe, the uniqueness of ministries that God has raised and their missions actually differentiates them from each other in some ways even though they are of the same body. Just as the body is one but has different parts which function differently. That is why even though you recognize the uniqueness of your calling as a minsitry, you must recognisze the uniqueness of the calling upon others as well and respect them. But the truth is when you have the Word on your lips 24/7, some people even christians will begin to look at you with disdain. They will say your own is too much. They will conclude that you are seeing yourself as superior to them, hence your declarations and confessions; whereas the Word is there for all to speak. They will even call you proud and boastful but you shouldn't stop. It isn't what they think but what God thinks about you that matters. Loveworld is and has always been about reaching out and loving others apart form ourselves. That's why you do not hear things like: 'The God of Christ Embassy' or 'The God of Pastor Chris in our midst'. We present the gospel as simply as Jesus did for all to see and become what He intended for them to become. We believe in their work and accept all of them as christians but do they accept us? We undersatnd where they are coming from and that is why we do not hate them for their actions because if they only knew us, they will love us. We love everyone because Jesus does love the whole world. |
FANATIC: Someone who takes seriously something for which you have no interest. |
Very funny. |
@Ricadelide, We didn't always appear influential my dear even though we knew we were, by the name of Jesus. In fact there were times when they will purposely exclude our name from the list of groups in the school. Your right, He always uses, foolish things to confound the wise and that's what He's done with us. The disciples of Jesus were meek and lowly but that did not mean that they hid their faces in timidity. For your information, they were givers and they prospered as a church. They need not drive in beautiful chariots for me to know that they prospered like many do think. Some people have learnt to look at prosperity the bible way, beginning with the soul that is free and on fire for Jesus. The rest will have to follow. They suffered lack sometimes for the sake of the gospel just like we do today( i don't know about you but i sometimes do because there is a need in God's house) The disciples may not have had huge savings or political power but they sure were influential. Their voice caused such a stir in the city and the news about Jesus spread abroad. The religious folks of their day tried to stop them like they do today but the more they tried, the more the gospel grew and the stronger they became. The more the signs and wonders abounded. Kings and rulers could not withstand the wisdom with which they spoke. It has not changed today. God has given us power and authority in heaven and in earth. To decree a thing and have it established. Over the years, we have kept on declaring the word of God and believing in his promises. We haven't quenched that fire ever since then. We are still as exited as we were several years ago. We always had a voice even though at first, they pretended not to hear. And by the way, Jesus did not withdraw from the people because of anything else but to have time alone to fellowship with the father. @TayoD, Look carefully who your allies are on this thread. If they appear to you to be Godly. Look carefully. Jesus said, the sheep hear the voice of the shepherd and follow. Drop the assumptions and just listen to Him. |
Ha ha ha ha, here they come again. You haven't seen anything yet, prepare to talk. These people have been talking since we were in school. they called us names, they pulled down our banners in envy and deep rooted hatred. They did so until we became the largest and most influencial fellowship on campus. They kept on talking until we became a voice in our nation and around the world; a voice that cannot be ignored. Prepare your talking machine baecause what you will see in the years to come will cause your mouth to drop. It will be obvoius to all that it is not by power nor by might but by the Spirit of the Lord. Ha ha ha ha(logs out and continues laughing in the Spirit) |
@Doris B i guess ur right ![]() |
thesilent1:You cannot heal yourself but you sure can TAKE IT(Lambano) by force! You can take what has already been appropriated for you in Christ. Act in faith and recieve. thesilent1:Not every building with a cross on top of it is a church. Some have locked the Lord outside the door. Where the Word and the Spirit are absent, God is not there. 2 Timothy 3 1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. It is possible to loose your healing in such a place because the Word is not there to cleanse you; the Spirit is not there to guide and empower you. As a result, sin gains dominion over your life, your faith becomes weak and then sickness takes over your body. John 5:13-14 13And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place. 14Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee. thesilent1:Askin me? ![]() thesilent1:The scriptures didn't say they lost their healing; it also did not tell us what happened to them days, weeks, months and years after. Nevertheless, it lets us know that they failed to recieve what the grateful one recieved : WHOLENESS. Lepeousy usually results in the loss of the extremities of a person. ie. fingers, toes etc. But this guy got he's all back. thesilent1:Too many? like who? thesilent1:Your pastor might not have anything extra but mine has an office which he did not call himself into. One that he was called to funtion in, not for himself, but for the body. I may not honour him as a person, but i honour him because of that office which he occupies. The annointing for living which every christian should have is not the same as the annointing for service. That one is mighty it can kill you if you despise it. There are gifts and there are callings. Every ministry office has an annointing to go with it. There is a difference between 'Chris' and 'Pastor Chris'. Do not despise these ministry offices and the annonting that goes with them. This is not to say we cannot rebuke devils, sickness and disease but you must understand that these will not obey you when you yourself do not understand authority. Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord. thesilent1:True. I do not believe in the so-called double portion annointing because that is less than the fullness of the Spirit. Why will i go for two portions when i can get all of the fullness of the annointing. thesilent1:Shalom. ![]() |
I thank all of you for your responses. Even for those where i have been labelled an occult worshiper. I expected all of that. Before i proceed i will like to mention here that i am sure several of you know that many who have been healed in Pastor Chris' meetings and are still healed today are not necessarily members of his Christ Embassy. Many are even healed daily by television. I will use my replies to some of your posts to explain further. Mr. Mayor wrote: Moral of the story is if you are healed by Pastor Chris and Benny Hinn don't ever go back to your church because the healing would fail. And i do not agree with that. I will rather put his statement correctly: If you are healed by God in any meeting through any man of God, you must fellowship in a church where the Word is exhalted above all else in order to keep your healing. You must stay close to God's Word and in an environment where the annointing of God is present. You must learn to use the Word of faith. Now, if you are in an environment where they play down on the Word of faith and despise the annointing of God's Spirit, and castigate God's ministers; a place where the annointing of God is not present and where you are not taught God's living Word; my advice to you is that you run for your life! Depart from such a place because chances are that you will loose your healing and possibly, your life because satan is not happy you got healed in the first place and if he comes back and finds that your house( Spirit) is still as empty( with out the Word) as it was when he left, he will got get many more wicked devils and your state will be worse. Satan is a proud fellow and he does not play fair. You must put him on the run. The bible says, resist the devil and he will flee from you! The man of God through the annointing of the Holy Ghost helped you recieve your healing. It is your responsibility to keep it. |
I will tell you two sad stories, The first is a story i heard about a lady who was healed of cancer at a Benny Hinn meeting. After she got her healing she stayed on with Pastor Benny and learned the Word. Well, that was until her folks at the other church where she used to attend began asking her to return. The lady came to meet Pastor Benny and said she wanted to return to her church. Pastor Benny tried to persuade her to stay telling her that she had grown so much in faith ever since she was with them and that there's still more to learn. But no, she insisted that they need her and that she was sure they will be happy about her miracle. Well, she got back there and the pastor of the church would say to her, well, you could have gotten your healing anywhere. Your mind only became more alert at that time and that was why you got healed. He made sure he totally denied the calling or annointing upon the man of God Benny Hinn and the woman believed him. The weeks went by, and the woman began to notice some old symptoms returning. Before long, her hair began to fall off, her tummy began to swell. Oh the woman called to Pastor Benny for help. But how do i help you now? the man of God asked. You've lost all those weeks of faith you got. I'm sorry i can't do anything about it. Well, not long after, the woman died. Now for the second story, I am writtng this one with much grief as i can recall how in 2000 a dear lady travelled with us from Calabar to Port Harcourt for a crusade with Pastor Chris. She was sick and dying of Diabetes. Well, she recieved her healing at the crusade and came back rejoicing and testifying of her healing. This however did not please members of her church. The days went by and some brethren(one of whom was a close friend of mine) will go from time to time to visit and encourage her in faith but it was not long before she began to hide from them, leaving messages that she was not at home. She eventually opened up and told them that her church members will not allow her to be seen in their company. Just for the records: There was at the same crusade, another woman who was refered to then as the woman from Calabar (if you can remember her testimony on atmosphere for miracles) who was carried unconcious to the meeting, but got up and began to run all over the place. I knew her personally. She worked then with the department of Environmental education at UNICAL. She was called Mma Ba by those who knew her. She is still alive and well and ever ready to testify of God's goodness. Well, the weeks went by and the diabaetic symptoms began to re-appear. This time, it was not long before it killed her. How sad it is to know how far human beings(even christains) can go as a result of their selfishness. It reminds me of those Jews in Jesus' day who saw a woman set free from bondage; who rather than rejoice, turned with indignation to Jesus, accussing him of working on the Sabbath. It was obvious that these religious folks did not mind that she died, as long as they succeeded in preventing her from that Christ Embassy. I am sure her pastor(who was a well known 'Holliness' preacher in town at the time convinced her that it was the power of the devil that set her free and how do i know that? On the night of her wake -keeeping which my friend attended, The pastor asked mockingly,"A place where they wear trousers and put on lipstick- is that a church?" And the congregation chorused, NO! Oh my! Please excuse me some folly here; but If i were God, while he is yet blaspheming, i will not hessitate to send a bolt of lightning to first of all, burn off his clothes right there in front of his congregation, before roasting him from head to toe. Not forgetting to send thunder alongside, to scatter such an unholy gathering of wickedness and hypocricy. |
God did not create satan; He created Lucifer who later became Satan, the devil. |
You are telling a lie and you know it. |
The reason why this is such an issue of contention is basically, their understanding of the word 'saint'. Every born-again believer according to scripture, is a saint. Now the difference between the christian who is bound by sickness and the one who is exercising authiority over sickness and disease is their level of understanding of God's Word. Many are trying to attain perfection of works before they agree with God that they are saints. This is the reason for the frustrations and weakness in the body of christ because they can never attain power with God that way. Sickness disease and death will be destroyed from the church when we come to the fullness of the knowledge of the gospel of Christ. It is simple; believe in what Christ did for us and recieve the power. Because they will not fix their gaze on the Word, they are easily tossed to and fro by man-made doctrines and dumbfounded by the power of God working in our day. |
The Seven Spirits Of God by Chris Oyakhilome. The book does more than just tell you about these seven Spirits, it actually brings you into fellowship with what it seeks to intruduce. |
Pastor Christian Oyakhilome is a prophet to the nations and MY MAN OF GOD. |
Whitchcraft is witchcraft; whether black, white, green or yellow and should not been even named among christians. They are works of the flesh and many times create a conducive atmosphere for demonic activity. |
To say the truth do not intend to convince you about the reality of the man Jesus Christ because i percieve that you have by yourself chosen to deny his existence. The prefis 'Bar-' as in Bar Timaus, bar Jonah of bar Jesus is greek for 'Son of'. So while Bar Jonah refers to the son of Jonah, Barjesus refers to the son of Jesus(not the Christ-the annointed one). Just as there still are today, there were a lot of Jesuses at the time but there was only one who was from above, annointed with the Holy ghost and with power; who died for sin, was buried and was declared to be the son of God by the resurrection from the dead. This one is sitted at the right hand of God, far above all principality and power and has with him raised up many sons to sit with him right there; among whom i am counted. Glory to God! |
