This fight will be interesting as this ends in two ways;

1. The rejection of Magu be challenged in the court of Law, based on "The report of. DSS". This is where the appointed lawyers must fight tooth and nail to discredit the report.Hence appeal against senates decision..Or

2. The presidency simply presents another character, capable and with good indisputable record to run EFCC affairs and equally handle the corrupt senate. Personally my vote goes to Nuhu Ribadu for another tenure as EFCC Chairman.

Late the game begin. This is the season for lawyers who knows their story....very well.

Very simple.

If you working at a bank, just be aware your registered cell phones and sims are been monitored. (With ot without your consent).

Same with social media accounts and postings.

This is a gag on whistle blowing in the name of protecting the interest of banking institutions and their clients, who might be involve in money laundering and financial crimes.

The trend of wives inflating cost of anything, just as Nigerian Senate pads budget have been in Vogue since time immemorial. Most ,if not all does it and it's outright dishonesty.

Now here's another fact, bros, you spoilt wife. And she's gone overboard.

What you need to do henceforth:

1. Keep your financial details private. No more my wife knows how much I'm earning.
2. Cutting her off from financial information includes but not limited to; how much you spare with relatives, family members, including pastors honorarium.
3. Keep making provision for your home, however any expenses outside immediate domestic needs, carry out a follow-up.Keep such details in your diary.Believe me the day you will use it in defense is coming.
4. Talk less when it comes to planning.Evidently your woman came.from an environment where it is believe " a woman is to parasite her man".

It.wont be easy at first, but you will get use to it.That will save you a whole lot of heartache and disappointments from unrealistic expectations about her.

Good luck.

There are laws that could help greatly reduce cases and instances of human abduction and mutilation for whatever purpose.
However if the culprit+plus clients ( ploliticians inclusive)+their witch doctors are nabbed amd given the ultimate sentence, DEATH BY HANGING, and not just the culprit..we would have reduction in such barbaric acts.

Crime / Re: 23-year-old Man Sentenced To Death By Hanging For Stealing Phone by donodion(m): 10:44am On Mar 21, 2017
I read this story twice but stopped further reading as i was disturbed...

Three thugs attacked a guy with a phone with a deceptive story*, one grabbed the phone, while the second, Emmanuel stabbed the victim on the head* (murder attempt, besides robbing and assault). The third is not mentioned in the script.

During judgement, Godfrey Emmanuel the stabber gets 12 years, while the one Tope with sob story that grabbed and ran with phone got DEATH SENTENCE shocked shocked shocked,

Appeal! Appeal!! Appeal!!!

High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has sentenced a 23 years old Tope Abiodun, to death by hanging for stealing an android LG phone valued at N87, 000.
The court also sentenced a teenager, Godfrey Emmanuel, to 14 years imprisonment for the same offence. Another suspect, Samuel Egbe 24-year-old trader at Wuse Market, Abuja, who was charged with dishonestly receiving the LG phone from the 2nd accused (Tope Abiodun), with knowledge that they were stolen, was, however, lucky, as he was discharged and acquitted by the court.
The court was amazed by the ingenuity deployed by the convicts in carrying out the robbery attack on the owner of the LG phone, Jacob Habila, who they attacked with a knife before disposing him of his handset.
According to the prosecution counsel, Assistant Commissioner of Police Simon Lough, the convicts had, on October 3, 2013, at about 9:21pm, positioned themselves half Unclad, at Impresist junction, Karmo, Abuja, and upon sighting the victim with his LG android phone, approached him to allow them make a distress call to their brother.
They told him they were victims of a robbery attack and would need his assistance to call their brother to bring some clothes for them to put on.
The unsuspecting Habila was touched by their story and in the process of dialling a number that was given to him, the 2nd convict (Godfrey Emmanuel), brought out a knife and stabbed him on the head, while Tope Abiodun escaped with the phone.
With blood dripping from his face, the victim raised the alarm, shouting “thief, thief” which led to the arrest of Emmanuel.

Education / Re: The Situation In Queens College Is A Public Health Emergency -chidi Odinkalu by donodion(m): 7:25pm On Mar 19, 2017
nex:
The situation at Queens College (QC), Yaba, Lagos is now a public health emergency and addressing this urgently must preoccupy the attention of the school, public health authorities and the school community.

Pending independent certification of the school as safe for human activity, it should remain closed. Temporary, alternative arrangements should be made for preparation of students about to take their West African School Certificate (WASC) examinations.

USOSA supports the advisory of the Lagos State Ministry of Health to postpone the planned re-opening of the school and is gratified that the new Management of QC has heeded this advice.

Investigations ordered by public health authorities at federal and state levels have disclosed a mortifying state of affairs at QC. Since the beginning of January 2017, over 1,222 QC students have been treated at the school’s clinic for abdominal pain, fever, vomiting and diarrhoea.

16 students were admitted in various hospitals in the country, mostly in and around Lagos. Of this number, nine have reportedly been discharged; two have died, one is still in critical condition at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), having recently come out of coma. In the past 36 hours, another has been admitted into hospital.

Independent laboratory analyses have shown that the water sources in the school are contaminated by different forms of E-Coli and Salmonella, among other dangerous pathogens.

23 of 40 kitchen workers and food handlers have tested positive for Amoebiasis; another three reported positive for Salmonella and at least one is positive for Tape-Worm.

The analysis also indicates that the boreholes that provide principal sources of water for the school are too shallow and too close in proximity to the sewage systems, to which the contamination has been traced. Hyper-chlorination, the envisaged short term solution, cannot and does not provide water that is fit for use. An extensive de-contamination effort is needed.

When parents cried out, the then Principal appeared around 23 February to blame the situation on “enemies of the school”, denying that “there is no epidemic, epidemic is when three-quarters of the population has died”.

Around the same day, a Vice-Principal reportedly complained: “we are looking after 2,800 students and we are being crucified because two die”. From various levels of the Management of QC then, there was clear evidence of reckless disregard for the young lives in their care or worse.

Chidi Anselm Odinkalu

USOSA President-General

This is is very irresponsible of the government representative (s).Blaming a failed infrastructural support on " enemiesmof the school". I mean all the health report indicated up there are Water borne diseases related. The state governement failed in running an effective safe and portable drinking water system, to a public schooll where the lives of wards are been affected IN THEIR THOUSANDS. Over 1200 pupils hospitalised for fvck sake.

Yet Gov Ambode is acceding to a repugnitive environmental law banning portable water businesses and sinking of boreholes except with permits.

Cases like this and the environmental law need to re-evaluated by the state house of assembly, urgently.

The Acts and regulations establishing this departments is a must call for amendments by the Nigerian Senate. That is only when Nigerians can enjoy less lethal and abusive law enforcement agencies.

Lol...this topic i could relate with.Working with women is a different kettle of fish, especially if you are to sit and deliberate on management issues. Many of those ive had encouter with who are in senior positions are just intoxicated by piwer.Raise a contrary opinnion, they twist the whole scene to become gender inequality issue.." is it because im a woman, bla bla bla".
The last female supervisor i worked with had it from me before i resigned, that day i lost it and was ready for detention. Was almost grabbing her by her yeye weavone to yank it off forcefully with my bare hand
lwith the rubbish she was vomiting, thinking il be like her husband she shouts at in the office.

Anyway what ive also discovered with female bosses is this: The younger they are the more problematic they become, and the older they become they become much easier to relate with. As male colleagues or surbodinates. Just be , humble, cool and calm to respond to their hormonal disparages ( the older ones o), especially when they begin to raise their voices.

Women could really be difficult to effectively work with particularly when they possess so much authority and power, however with the help of other female colleagues, one could get to know their weak point and manage them. But some are just Jezebel reincarnate...BWP Bit.ches With Problems.

Don't we hear of pastors sleeping with married women in their church!

Just as you said, the pastor should have settled this issue quickly and moved on with his fake ministry. His reputation is fading away fast. Next time he speaks publicly, people will wonder if he had just finished licking the pussy of one of his Haram. Who would take him seriously now - I won't. She is bold because she knows she speaks the truth. She is courageous because she has verifiable evidence. Her action should empower women to come forth and speak out

Precisely, which is why i keep telling those defending bros Sule to take a chill pill.

All this gragra would have been settled amicably by simply taming her gently...Prophet Sule gave her $12,000 for shopping im far away Canada where shes based. She boldly declared it and ready for investigation.

Bottom up

What is more wrong is thr arbitrary use of lethal force by security agents. From NPF-SARS-Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy, DSS now Nigerian Customs. These people in these agencies brazenly abuses power with attitude.

Until we compel the legislature to critically look into the bye-laws that establishes these agencies and their responsibilities in terms of duties within jurisdictions, im afraid it would continue.

In develooed countries, you can't , as a law enforcement agent, pull a gun on an unarmed person, talkless pull the trigger. It calls for summon and citation could be issued against such.

Business / Re: Lagosians Groan As KFC Outlets Shut Down Operations From Tomorrow by donodion(m): 8:54am On Feb 20, 2017
Newshelm:
Lagos residents have expressed their displeasure following the recent development that popular fast food chain, KFC, will shut down operations across the State.

It was learnt that all KFC outlets in Lagos will shut down operations from tomorrow, Monday, February 20, 2017, except the ones operative in shoppong malls due to low patronage and high cost of power.

As a result, KFC Outlets in popular areas such as Ilupeju, Sabo, Ikeja, Ogba and other parts of Lagos metropolis will effectively close with residents unable to have their favourite meal at the outlets.

While one can’t rule out the current economic downturn in the country as a factor leading to the decision by the company, this development has however led to a myriad of Lagosians condemning the economic policies of the present administration in the country.

According to Muyiwa Olumide, “it is so sad businesses shut down due to low sales and high cost of power.” Another resident, Oluseun succinctly puts his thought as “the industry is so cold.”

Efforts to reach the management of KFC for comments proved futile as at press time.

It is however shocking that KFC is shutting down operations at a time when other fast food outlets such as Mega Chicken, The Place, Dominos and more are expanding operations in Lagos.
