Facebook Inc's WhatsApp will introduce voice and video calling feature to the messaging app's desktop version next year, a company spokesperson told Reuters.

The move to facilitate calls over large screens would put WhatsApp on par with video-conferencing bigwigs Zoom and Google Meet, but it is unclear if it has ambitions to compete with the two in the enterprise space.

With over 2 billion users globally, WhatsApp is second only to its parent firm Facebook Inc's namesake app, yet it is largely used for personal calls, unlike Zoom or Google Meet.

WhatsApp said it has already rolled out the feature to some desktop users on a trial basis in time for the holiday season, a move first reported by tech blog WABetaInfo.

A second wave of the coronavirus has forced many people around the world to stay home and plan gatherings with friends and family over the internet instead.

Zoom Video Communications Inc said on Friday it was removing the 40-minute time limit for its free accounts on all meetings globally for the holiday season.

In a similar move, Google Meet has said free users would not have to limit conversations to 60 minutes until March.

Mads Mikkelsen, who replaced Johnny Depp in Fantastic Beasts 3, said that he wished he had the latter’s phone number so that he could contact him.

At the request of Warner Bros, Depp had issued his resignation last month after losing the libel case against The Sun which accused him of being a "wife beater" to his ex-wife Amber Heard.

While the actor denied the accusations, the court ruled in Heard's favour.

Mikkelsen is set to play Depp’s character Gellert Grindelwald and was asked whether he was in touch with Depp after the announcement was made.

"No, I don’t know him," he told AP Entertainment.

"I’ve met him once. I wish I had his phone number, but unfortunately that’s not the case."

Speaking about how he was going to honour Depp's work and continue to play the character, he said that he was going to "connect the bridge".

"There’s nothing else I can do, to be honest. The only approach I can have is connect the bridge between what he did and what I’m gonna do and then we’ll see what lands."

"Job wise, it’s obviously super interesting and nice. It’s also a shocker that it came after what happened, which is just super sad. I wish both of them the best. These are sad circumstances," he said.

I realize that a lot of people who delve into programming are just newbies in development thus giving them a hard time. I also realized that an old timer who is a self taught front end developer could easily tell a developer a fix to a problem when a newbie developer is having issues with certain issues. As a newbie, learn to troubleshoot errors and get very good at it. Always learn to fix any problem and know why they're there and the next time it will just be as easy to fix that problem

n illustration of what i want to explain was when I had issue with chrome browser. I tried fixing an already fixed error until one day I decided to clear cookies and cache and i was shocked after i had fixed a different problem and realized that it fixed my web app problem.
