The truth is, you may need the help of your brother in the long run or vice versa, no one knows how life will turn out to be in the future. If I'm in your shoes, I'll definitely buy from my brother (in as much as I will still have some little profit to myself) blood is blood for a reason (although it looks as if you're loosing at the moment, but try and look beyond this moment and see that you've actually gained).

Just like we have good people and bad people, we also have good single mothers and bad single mothers. Everything has their own advantages and disadvantages but I can explicitly say that the disadvantages of marrying a single mother is far greater whatever advantage you can think of.

If she has more than one child from the same or different baby daddies(and they're still alive) , that's a serious red flag. Run for your life.
