I am a christian, but I must admit that there is some truth to how this cartoon portrayed the persecution us believers are getting from these nasty atheists. 5 Likes 2 Shares

skywalker001:The beginning and the end of what? Or are you saying that God will end someday according to your understanding of that bible quote? Since the bible has always maintained that God is immortal, in what way do you think he is the end? |
Religion / Re: I Think I'm Losing My Belief by dorox(m): 2:38pm On Oct 26, 2016 |
skywalker001: Was there a time that DNA did not exist? If yes, then it must have come from something. If no, then it has always existed, and hence it could not have come from nothing. The Abrahamic notion of God could not have existed out of nothing neither could He have come into existence by chance, because having no beginning means that He has always existed. While some people do not believe that such a being exist, the notion of it does not in anyway contradict the saying that "nothing can come out of nothing." |
Religion / Re: I Think I'm Losing My Belief by dorox(m): 10:11am On Oct 26, 2016 |
skywalker001: Everything that has a beginning must by necessity come from something, it is an intuitive fact that is self apparent. So if we accept that the universe had a beginning, then logic would dictate that it along with all that is contained within came from something. God on the other hand is said to not have a beginning, he has alway existed. That is why asking about who created God is meaningless. Think about it for a second, how can a being that has always existed be created? |

DeSepiero: Your premise is right but your assumption that more muslims will be reached in the islam section is wrong. The islam section is dryer than the sahara desert, nothing happens there. That is why there are more muslims enjoying the freedom of the general religious section than are present in the closed prison of the islam section. 2 Likes |
Religion / Re: Nature: Made For Man Or Indifferent To Man's Existence? by dorox(m): 7:52pm On Oct 09, 2016 |
johnydon22:In a previous thread I argued that with perfect information a model can be made that could accurately predict every single event that will take place in the universe far into the future. With such a model, one can accurately predict when and where the next asteroid would hit the earth, or all the storms the earth will experience hundreds of years into the future, or the birth of a new star and the day the star dies. Such a model that can see perfectly into the future will have no random event since the cause of every event would be known and predictable. I see chaos as useful "tools of nature", just like a sharp knife is a useful tool in the hands of an experienced chef, but a dangerous object in the hands of a kid, it is not dangerous by itself, how we interact with it makes it dangerous. We can agree that nature is just right for man to exist otherwise we won't be around to ask the question. Whether or not it was made to accommodate us is a question whose answer depends on our view of whether or not God exist. If we answer yes to the question of whether there is God, then we would see nature as created with the objective of accommodating man. But if we answer no to where God exist, every existence including nature and man becomes accidental. 3 Likes 2 Shares |
Family / Re: Should I Marry A Man With A Low Sperm Count? by dorox(m): 10:42pm On Oct 05, 2016 |
If you want a child and both of you can afford the treatment, there is a therapy called intracytoplasmic sperm injection. It is used in cases where the man has a low sperm count, a single sperm is introduced directly to the egg. 1 Like |

Why are muslims just so desperate for approval from celebrities? That was how some muslims falsely claimed that Morgan Freeman has converted to islam just because of this pucture of him in front of a mosque. It turned out that he was there to do research for a documentary on religion. 1 Like 1 Share

promisechuks: I know of someone that went from one church to the other in her search of this kind of miracle until my sister gave her the phone number of a fertility clinic in Lagos. She and her husband went there and after several treatments, she got pregnant and eventually gave birth to twins, a girl and a boy. Come testimony time in church, this woman narrated how her enemies blocked her womb for so long and how her pastor pastor prayed for her, but she never told the church the most important thing she did that got her pregnant. That kind of false testimony can make some people to keep praying for their miracle instead of seeking for real help from doctors. As a christian, you don't want to give a false impression that God did a miracle when it was actually done by the scientific knowledge of man. Do you? 6 Likes |

The woman gave birth to quadruplets after ten years of waiting is quite typical with couples that were given Assisted Reproductive Therapy like IVF. So, instead of posting your meaningless epistle you should have simply provided the name of the clinic where they received their treatment. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

Lennycool: This was my initial post. dorox: That there is something rather than nothing makes me believe in something. Therefore, with respect to your question, nothing can ever make become an atheist, having the certainty that God in whatever form and attributes does not exist. But my christian notion of God could be shaken if life which I think is unique to this planet is discovered elsewhere. I will become an agnostic leaning deist. |

So instead of blaming the poor old woman that bore your dad and raised him up to be the man that fatthered you, why don't you put that grey thing on your head to work, it is not there for decoration you know? |
