I am a christian, but I must admit that there is some truth to how this cartoon portrayed the persecution us believers are getting from these nasty atheists.

because your god(yahweh) is a god created by Almighty God. The reason he's called d beginning and d end in your book is because he's among the 1st homos(gods) that was created by almighty god and that is his beginning and he's gonna av an end because yahweh is not d real God

So, going by your initial contention, how did this almighty God come about?

Your proof @bolded... Remember your book state it that god is d beginning and the end, so how com he has no beginning again ? Are you even reading your book ?
The beginning and the end of what? Or are you saying that God will end someday according to your understanding of that bible quote?
Since the bible has always maintained that God is immortal, in what way do you think he is the end?

Did u said being that has always being in existence ? U stil don't answer my question cos from wat Ray Comfort said dat "nothing can come out of nothing" when he was asking about the existence of DNA. Since nothing can com out of nothing then somtin must be behind the existence of god. So tell me did god just exist out of nothing ? Did god just exist by a chance ? If u dont hav better answer beside d one u put up there dont bother to mention me again

Was there a time that DNA did not exist? If yes, then it must have come from something. If no, then it has always existed, and hence it could not have come from nothing.
The Abrahamic notion of God could not have existed out of nothing neither could He have come into existence by chance, because having no beginning means that He has always existed. While some people do not believe that such a being exist, the notion of it does not in anyway contradict the saying that "nothing can come out of nothing."
Religion / Re: I Think I'm Losing My Belief by dorox(m): 10:11am On Oct 26, 2016
skywalker001:
And did your god just exist by chance ? Ray Comfort said "nothing can com out of nothing" when he was askin qstn about existence of DNA. Nw let me ask u this qstn, if nothing can com out of nothing then who created your god ? If there's no proof of how your god com into existence den there's no god. Or u want to tell me that your god just exist out of nothing ?

Everything that has a beginning must by necessity come from something, it is an intuitive fact that is self apparent. So if we accept that the universe had a beginning, then logic would dictate that it along with all that is contained within came from something.
God on the other hand is said to not have a beginning, he has alway existed. That is why asking about who created God is meaningless.
Think about it for a second, how can a being that has always existed be created?

Spot on bro, you give what you have.

Adeboye has ulterior motives !

You cannot be a true man of God. grin

Jesus warned his followers of wolves in sheep's clothing, but this Adeboye is just a wolf poorly disguised as a sheep. I wonder why his followers cannot see him as the ravenous wolf he truly is.

If you aim Muslim audience, as the post suggests, then your aim will be better achieved there. By the way why will you be banned

Your premise is right but your assumption that more muslims will be reached in the islam section is wrong. The islam section is dryer than the sahara desert, nothing happens there. That is why there are more muslims enjoying the freedom of the general religious section than are present in the closed prison of the islam section.

Religion / Re: Nature: Made For Man Or Indifferent To Man's Existence? by dorox(m): 7:52pm On Oct 09, 2016
johnydon22:
The title of the thread is clear enough, there have been arguments back and forth on this board on the point of view that nature is precise and ordered and on the other side that it is not and a third opinion where i fall into that both order and chaos are equally represented in nature.

The very apex of creation as presented by different theological standpoints [religions] humans have is man, every religion paints a picture of a cosmos that almost seems to be centered towards man.

Now the topic of the discussion here is as the title reads.

Was nature made to accomodate man or is nature not only dangerous but indifferent of everything including man?

If yes give reasons and if No also state reasons, lets discuss on a high intellectual ground with as much friendliness and kindness one can entertain.

[N:B - To person/persons who would take any direction this thread might take personal [whether is pricks your belief or unbelief], there is a certain degree of emotional stability required when engaging in issues of public concern, it's either such a person learn some and not bring up childish personal tantrums into the field or better still ignore the thread]

Cc. Loj, Lordnicklaus, dorox, seun, ValentineMary.. Invite others, thread is open

I'll post my article on this topic after this thread
In a previous thread I argued that with perfect information a model can be made that could accurately predict every single event that will take place in the universe far into the future. With such a model, one can accurately predict when and where the next asteroid would hit the earth, or all the storms the earth will experience hundreds of years into the future, or the birth of a new star and the day the star dies. Such a model that can see perfectly into the future will have no random event since the cause of every event would be known and predictable.
I see chaos as useful "tools of nature", just like a sharp knife is a useful tool in the hands of an experienced chef, but a dangerous object in the hands of a kid, it is not dangerous by itself, how we interact with it makes it dangerous.

We can agree that nature is just right for man to exist otherwise we won't be around to ask the question. Whether or not it was made to accommodate us is a question whose answer depends on our view of whether or not God exist. If we answer yes to the question of whether there is God, then we would see nature as created with the objective of accommodating man. But if we answer no to where God exist, every existence including nature and man becomes accidental.

Family / Re: Should I Marry A Man With A Low Sperm Count? by dorox(m): 10:42pm On Oct 05, 2016
If you want a child and both of you can afford the treatment, there is a therapy called intracytoplasmic sperm injection. It is used in cases where the man has a low sperm count, a single sperm is introduced directly to the egg.

Why are muslims just so desperate for approval from celebrities?
That was how some muslims falsely claimed that Morgan Freeman has converted to islam just because of this pucture of him in front of a mosque. It turned out that he was there to do research for a documentary on religion.

Check your video link again, I am not sure it is the one you intended. This one will do nicely for now.

Stupidity!

Is he posting so that you will believe?

What's all these??!

What does the clinic name has to offer??

Think a minute!

I know of someone that went from one church to the other in her search of this kind of miracle until my sister gave her the phone number of a fertility clinic in Lagos. She and her husband went there and after several treatments, she got pregnant and eventually gave birth to twins, a girl and a boy.
Come testimony time in church, this woman narrated how her enemies blocked her womb for so long and how her pastor pastor prayed for her, but she never told the church the most important thing she did that got her pregnant.
That kind of false testimony can make some people to keep praying for their miracle instead of seeking for real help from doctors. As a christian, you don't want to give a false impression that God did a miracle when it was actually done by the scientific knowledge of man. Do you?

The woman gave birth to quadruplets after ten years of waiting is quite typical with couples that were given Assisted Reproductive Therapy like IVF. So, instead of posting your meaningless epistle you should have simply provided the name of the clinic where they received their treatment.

The fact that there is something instead of nothing will forever make me believe in the existence of God. While the discovery of life outside our planet will change my notion of God from a christian to a deist-agnostic.

That there is something rather than nothing makes me believe in something. Therefore, with respect to your question, nothing can ever make become an atheist, having the certainty that God in whatever form and attributes does not exist.
But my christian notion of God could be shaken if life which I think is unique to this planet is discovered elsewhere. I will become an agnostic leaning deist.

Could you imagine that most residents there saying their is always a spiritual force behind any product of science and technology i.e they still find making of phonecall a mistery!

They tell you these fantastic tales like they were there until you start probing, then they start getting further removed from the event the deeper you probe. Till the story that began with "I was there, I saw it with my two nakèd eyes" becomes "I heard it from someone who heard it from someone who heard it from someone......... who may have heard it from someone that was there.

This question has been on my mind for a long time now. What would it take for a theist(one who believes in God) to conclude that God does not Exist? If an atheist was asked the reverse of this question, the atheist might reply with
- let God show himself to everyone in the world
- Heal all cancer patients in the world by just praying
- Regrow the limbs of all amputees by just praying
- Feed all the starving children in the world for a year by just praying. E.t.c all these would be an atheist response, for the atheist to believe a God exist.
Now as a theist (it doesn't matter if you're a christian, Muslim, traditional worshipper e.t.c) what would it take for you to believe that there is no God, or atleast not one that interferes in the lives of humans.
Honest and civilized responses are needed.

The fact that there is something instead of nothing will forever make me believe in the existence of God. While the discovery of life outside our planet will change my notion of God from a christian to a deist-agnostic.

The uncertaintoes of life is what is happening. It is rough sometimes and rough at other times. Your family just seem to be having it rough a bit more at this time like many other families.
So instead of blaming the poor old woman that bore your dad and raised him up to be the man that fatthered you, why don't you put that grey thing on your head to work, it is not there for decoration you know?
