Please don't make it about yourself, I have never questioned if you believe your account of the story to be true, it is the lady's account I question.
Too many times i have been told some fantastic tales by people who claimed to have experienced it or seen it first hand only for their story to change from the spectacular to the not so spectacular after just a few questions.
Once again my friend, I did not and will never accuse you of making the story up, I am only saying that people when faced with problems of that nature become very emotional which makes them to over emphasize certain aspect of their story while deemphasizing other aspects of the same story.
So unless you took your time to sift through the noise in her story before accepting it as fact, I would remain skeptical about the absolute truthfulness of her story.

Hey vooks, I mean no harm with all my doubts and questions, I was only trying to demonstrate that in the instance you gave it will be quite difficult to prove even to yourself that your prayer hard anything to do with your friends pregnancy.
People say that they have given up many times only to save enough money for one last try. So until you ask her categorically if she was still receiving treatment when she got pregnant I won't accept her expression of a moment of despair to mean so.
You say it was your prayer, why can it not be the prayer and fasting she must have been doing all those years?
Surely, a desperate person like her would ask her pastor and other close friends to pray for her as well, could it have been their prayers and not yours?
I still believe that behind your miracle is someone wearing a white coat.

Let me ask you, what percent of your income do you give to God, or to needy people generally? If you say you cannot calculate the proportion you give out, you are either lying, or a bad manager of resources, cos you should know where your money is going to. How much do you really give away? Remember the story of the widow that Jesus said gave more because it was all she had. It is wrong if you think God does not care about the proportion of your income you give to Him. Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. If you are honest, and you do give above 10 percent, then there should be no problem for you. If you do give less though, then it is too little and you should try to do more. Not by law now, but by love.

You are either a pompous idiót or you are a wicked tithe collector. But a christian you are not. Otherwise you will be more concerned about extending a hand of support to the weak instead of making empty boast of how you pay a lot of money to pastors who are already rich from their shameful collection of tithes.

They tried all things they could imagine for 5 years and came out poorer and with nothing to show for it.
In fact the funny bit is the lady used to be my colleague and she asked me for verses to encourage a couple who were seeking a baby.
I thought about it, prayed, dug into the scriptures and shared a few verses and I prayed them for a few days for her friend. I encouraged her to keep on praying the verses.

She went on maternity leave, came back and that's when she disclosed that she was talking about herself only that she felt a bit embarrassed to say so. Five years of trying and then after prayers she conceives? Prayer was the only variable. Conception happened around the time I shared the verses

Do you know for a fact that she was not receiving any treatment when you prayed for her? If not, how are you sure that it was your prayer that worked? Afterall it is common knowledge that for some women it can take multiple sessions before they can conceive.

The farm was made with money people donated for the propagation of the gospel that he appropriated to himself. This kind of greed and dishonesty should be condemned irrespective of the person doing it, be it an imam or a pastor. It is pure theft from the willing and gullible faithfuls.
at the very least, I hope he still has enough decency to pay his fair share of tax from income earned through the farm instead of laudering through the church as some do.

Miracles and Holy Spirit are different things. Miracles are far much rare than Pentecostals would have us believe. This is what tempts them to fake them and claim non-existent miracles

When was the LAST time you performed a miracle?

He cures headaches as a matter of routine and sometimes stomach aches. Does that count?

If you are healed then you would not need medication so to speak.

There are people who believe in miracles like me, then there are those who don't and then there are those who are so desperate for one that they ascribe non-existent miracles to God.

I have witnessed a miracle firsthand when I prayed with a childless couple and they are proud parents. But I can say miracles are much rare than Pentecostals would have us believe. Plus, they are easily abused by heartless people to extort money from worshippers

How are you sure that the couple weren't receiving treatment at the time you prayed for them? Moreover, have you considered the fact that a low fertility of a couple does not rule out the possibility of them to conceive, only that it makes it more difficult?
I would be very wary of calling their conception a miracle without knowing the full facts. I also know a couple that had twins after receiving fertility treatment on the advice of my sister.
The tale they told in church on their thanks giving day was all about how pastor prayed for them and nothing about the wonderful work of modern medicine.

I dunno. But what I know is that she had been that way for. As long as I knew her, snapping in and out of it. Her knee and her ankles would be swollen and black. They operated it several times, it would go and come back they even tried herbal medecine for where. I could remember a time the husband flew her to india for treatment (they are very wealthy). But yet nothing.

Then one day early in the morning I heard singings and merriment. And looked out the window, loo and behold she was walking unaided without her braces and walking stick. At first we all thought it was mistake, because her knee and ankles were still black and swollen and she could not walk fast or freely. We urged her to go to the doctor, for checkup, the test confirmed it was no longer there,but she didn't stop her medication after then, she was still going for checkups Over the years the sweling was reducing, and her movement more faster. Last year when we saw at my brothers wedding the legs were perfect. Infact this experience is the cause of my strong belief in miracles. I have said this story several times earlier in this forum.

But the truth being told, sirjohns investigation has taught me something-- not all cases of miracles are true.

Things are indeed better than they were in the distant past, however it appears that we have hit a peak and now in a gradual decline.
The other thing to consider is the fact that while this civilisation has raised the level of comfort enjoyed by most people around the world to what was once the exclusive preserve of royalty, it has also increased the potential for anthropogenic cataclysmic events to levels never before seen or thought possible.

The sad thing is that stories like this seem to have no effect on theses miracle merchants, all they care about is if the dying victim is strong enough to pose for a photo op where their sickness is declared healed. Whatever happens afterward is no concern of theirs.

Your post is just hot air without substance. No amount of rebuking can reduce or stop the occurence of accident while our roads are badly designed, poorly constructed and are riddled with potholes due to lack of maintenace and are plied by drivers without proper training on road safety.
In other countries people don't pray before embarking on a journey, yet the accident rate in those other countries remain far lower than what we have in Nigeria with all the prayer worriors like your stùpid self.

Perhaps you recently read the book of Revelations hence you apocalyptic nightmares. I had a similar experience in my younger days after reading Revelations.

The luxuries enjoyed by these pastors has to be paid for somehow.

Islam is the religion of total peace, but to achieve absolute peace one must first journey through war until all enemies submit to peace or are vanquished, and that my friend is where we are now.

Not everyone who has ever lived will be resurrected. Only those who have exercised faith in Christ and those who despite not knowing Christ had some redeeming qualities. People act like they are the offspring of satan e.g the pharisees of Jesus day will definitely not be resurrected.

1. WHO will be judged over 1000 years? Will they die like we die today say from murder,suicide....?
2. Over whom will the resurrected in Christ reign?
3. Do the dead 'outside' Christ,those who never put their faith in him BEFORE 1000 years of judgement ever get to resurrect?
4. Is there any incidence/event that will trigger the Judgement day of 1000 years? If yes, what is it?

Before I answer your questions let me first of all let you know that I hold the view that there are two types of resurrection; the first is made up of a limited number of people who will have a heavenly resurrection and will reign with Christ. The second resurrection is for those who would inhabit the earth as was originally purposed by God when He created Adam.
1. Everyone resurrected to an earthly life. They will be like Adam was meant to be; the will become perfect at the end of the thousand years. The will not be immortal, but can live indefinitely for as long they remain obedient to God' command. So yes, if for some reason someone decides that paradise is boring, that person can in theory end his life forever.
There will be no murder. God will not allow it.

2. They will reign over those on earth.

3. Many would.

4. Armageddon.

And who gets to go through the judgement? is it only those alive at the beginning of the 1000 years, the ones who never put their faith in Christ or what?

Revelation 20: 6 says "Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years."
The first ressurection is for those who are to reign with christ fir a thousand years while the second ressurection is those who will be ruled and made perfect for one thousand years.

Those who prove to be unrighteous are cast into the lame of fire which means the second death.
So if one should die, it is because that person is truly evil, there will never be a ressurection for that person. Such a death is forever.
