please I need your help concerning rescheduling of my gre exam. my exam has been scheduled for 7th Nov but am looking at rescheduling to ghana because of the deadlines I have to meet coz some of my application materials have already been sent. I tried doing that but I was told the appointment is past the cutoff date for modification. Please what can i do about this or is it still possible for me to re-register if that is the only way out. Please I need your contribution.

I think i got a notification of cancellation about 2 working days before the test date. i was supposed to write the test on a Monday and then i was wondering how i would go for the test because you hardly see vehicles moving on the roads. To my surprise, i got an email on a Thursday ( a week before...) from Prometric saying the test appointment was cancelled due to civil unrest and now rescheduled to another date, a week ahead. It was cancelled again and the second rescheduling took like forever #lol. not that far, a span of about a month. i was impatient and felt it was like a year because i needed not to forget all the vocabs wey i don cram

In your case, they've given you a time span and just be patient and study more while expecting their email. They will get back to you pretty soon. Hopefully, before this month runs out. SORRY ABOUT THE MONEY YOUR EXPENDED ON FLIGHT You gast sue them o .

lisadem: Don't fret. It happens... Am a living witness. My appointment date was rescheduled twice in early 2012 during the civil unrest (Fuel subsidy palava) in Naija. I got an identical email from prometric and the test date was rescheduled. The only problem now is they are the one to choose a date which is convenient for them not for you.

syahboy: Hello Nairalanders, I recently took the Gre and today I received the official Score Report Quant-165, Verbal-156 Total 321 and AWA-5.0(Not stellar but laudable).

I started practising for the test since march and to be honest the first powerprep attempt I scored a meagre 290. However, I requested for materials on this forum and some materials were sent to my mail. I found the barrons basic as it covered some aspects of the quant section but not up to actual test standard.

A friend of mine recommended the Nova Gre Bible which I found very efficient as it teaches all the tricks and formulas needed to ace the Quant section, infact with this book you can get a perfect score on the Quant.

For the verbal I learnt 299 common Gre words and also practised with the free verbal flashcards from magoosh gre, although on test day the words were actually reasonable than the ones on the practise test.

I did a lot or Reading comprehension questions on both Barrons and http://codecoax.com/grerc/ as this was an area I struggled with. For the AWA I studied essays from http://gre5dot5./ and it helped me a lot as two of the essays on my test were directly from this site. I also recommend downloading the ebook Gre-AWA model essays.

Powerprep is a must as it helps you get the test experience, also your score on the powerprep will likely be your actual score on test day plus or minus 10 points. In summary practise, practise, practise and you'll do great. Having great scores is not esoteric, just be passionate and zealous and you'll make it. On test day I sent my scores to TAMU, ASU, UIUC and UTD. Currently doing my final semester and will be applying for Spring 2015 semester(EE VLSI) plus my Toefl is on tuesday, wish me luck guys

kofsy: En en? And i was feeling fly all through the quantitative section, like i was blasting it. In fact i thought i was doing poorly on the verbal section cos those questions were harrrrrrrrddddddd.... i mean HARD I was expecting a lower score on the verbal sef. It turned out that i actually performed better in it. All glory to God

imperiouxx: That's the largest school here in the most popular and largest city Albuquerque. You'll certainly love it here. There are very few Nigerians in Albuquerque. NM is good for studies because you spend less on living but if your field isn't related to Nuclear stuffs, Food science, Agriculture (Animal husbandry or Agric extension) or Mining etc, you will have to move after graduating. Weather is pretty cold and snowy in winter and spring (5 months/yr) but HOT in summer like crazy.
