Morning all,

I am reporting live from St Mary's University in Halifax Nova Scotia. i would like to nominate myself as and ambassador for the school on nairaland, so feel free to send me message with regards to admission into the school.

Other universities in that area include, Dalhousie and University of Kings college. Although i dont know my way around that much yet, i could still be of assistance.

And btw, the cold here is special. so think about that as well.

Rossikk: A lot of what the guy says is wrong, such as that peoples' lives have not improved since the military, and that democracy has delivered no dividends etc etc. Typical shallow analysis by a person who's never lived in Nigeria, but is just a visitor who now thinks he knows everything.

Please apart from GSM, kindly point out the positives that this nation has experienced since the military guys. Its people like you that wen u see your fellow tribal man stealing, you say leave am na our people. This dude rightly pointed out what was majorly wrong with this country, and the only response you can give is he has a shallow understanding of the country. Ok you that has deep knowledge, explain oo.

I have worked with this so called expats, and most of them do the job that a Nigerian graduate can do and they get paid $2000 per day. Most of them just have certificates from technical schools o, and they r here milking the country dry and our stupid leaders dont seems to have time check that out. Go to angola, no expart can get a one year visa straight without going back to his county first, but here we have exparts 20 yrs and they wld not pass knowledge down to the black man cos they dont want to loose there jobs.

Stay away from contract if you can , the best is to buy an unlocked phone here and buy a prepaid Sim e.g koodo / wind and use . If you decide to buy contract phones you might be slammed outrageous bills and to opt out becomes a problem . Stay away from Rogers

Have you picked up your envelope with vfs that contains your passport? Usually the tuition instruction comes with it and if not there, then ur not expected to make the payment yet

Just to inform the house that i picked up my student Visa this morning at VFS.

God has used the wonderful month of Ramadan to bless me. I hope i have this same elated feeling wen my CFA result comes out tomorrow.

Submitted on the 21st of March via paper, went for medicals on the 25th of May, submitted back my passport on the 11th of June.

Guys I just got my TRV today!!! Saw the message in my CIC account this evening. I was sooo elated. After submitting my passport on the 8th of June. I applied online on the 26th of April.

My status on VFS has changed oo. Being fronting to check d website since oo, i just summoned courage to check today and it says

"Your application has been assessed by the Canadian High Commission/Consulate General of Canada and is being returned to the centre where you applied".

Ill go check on monday.

Oga siga, i did my medicals on the25th of may and submitted my passport back on the 11th of June, and since den nothing oo. My chill pill don finish oo. Went to the embassy on monday, and they told me to chill. Do u think dere is any issue

I donated blood while in camp. My mum is a pathologist and encourages us to donate as much as possible, because in case you have an emergency and you're rushed to the state hospital and in need of blood or any family member of yours, they would give you preference due to your past record. My dad donates every year during his birthday period, but he doesn't anymore because of his age.

Hi guys,

I went to the Canadian embassy today. After waiting to 3hrs, i was called on the phone and informed that they are still processing my application and i should be patient.

Did medicals on the 25th of May, and submitted my passport back on the 11th of June, after making a short traveling. So guys i guess we still have to be patient. BTW, i started my application 21st of March.
