PoliticsAmotekun: ‘to Hell With Their Presidency’, Afenifere Blasts Miyetti Allah by Dpaulie(op): 6:33pm On Jan 16, 2020
The pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, on Thursday, Berated Miyetti Allah over remarks that the South-West may lose the 2023 presidency if it fails to drop its security outfit codenamed: Operation Amotekun, saying the north can go to with its presidency.

The Miyetti Allah Kaute Hore had described Amotekun as illegal saying it may affect the chances of the region to produce the presidency in 2023.

But Afenifere’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Yinka Odumakin, lampooned Miyetti Allah describing the remarks as an insolence.
Odumakin said: “Miyetti Allah now owns the Presidency which they can gift to who they want and deny who they choose? What insolence? Cowherders threatening a people that produced the first lawyer in 1879 because a lawyer who doesn’t know the law is overreaching himself? Can they go and tell Yoruba in Benin Republic such idiocy? It is now a crime that we inhabit the same country with them? If Yoruba would be conised, is it by those we should employ on our ranches?

“To hell with their Presidency if the condition for it is that we must allow them to continue to waste the lives of our people. Who told these people Yoruba cannot opt for self-determination and have our own president? If they see the protection of our lives as politics, we are definitely in a wrong and impossible country.”

Foreign AffairsRussian Government Resigns As Vladimir Putin Proposes Changes by Dpaulie(op): 10:13pm On Jan 15, 2020
Russia’s government has resigned, a few hours after President Vladimir Putin proposed sweeping constitutional changes that could prolong his stay in power.

If approved by the public, the proposals would transfer power from the presidency to parliament.

Mr. Putin is due to step down in 2024 when his fourth term of office comes to an end.

But there is speculation he could seek a new role or hold on to power behind the scenes.

Mr. Putin put forward his plans in his annual state of the nation address to lawmakers.
Later, in an unexpected move, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev announced that the government was resigning to help facilitate the changes.

Russian government sources said the ministers did not know about the government’s resignation ahead of the announcement.

“It was a complete surprise,” one source said.

The Russian president said during a speech to both chambers of parliament that there would be a nationwide vote on changes that would shift power from the presidency to parliament.

CrimeStudent Cries, Collapses In Court On Sighting Alleged Defiler by Dpaulie(op): 6:55pm On Jan 15, 2020
A student with special needs (name withheld), on Wednesday, cried in court on sighting a school proprietor, who allegedly defiled her six years ago.

The mild drama occurred at an Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court, when the defendant, Onyiriuka, stood in the witness box.

The student, who has a speech impairment and learning difficulty, collapsed in the witness box upon seeing the 45-year-old Onyiriuka.

She said repeatedly that she did not want to see the suspect’s face.
Justice Abiola Soladoye had to tell the student to calm down.

The judge told the student that she had the option of coming to court on another date to give evidence.

“You can also testify as we go on, I can give you a break if you need one.
“Do not be afraid; he is not coming for you; you are protected by God and the court,” the judge said.

Soladoye stood down the trial to enable the student to calm down to give evidence.

After an hour, the case was announced in court and the student, after being counselled by a staff of the Lagos State Ministry of Justice, came back into the courtroom to testify.

Led in evidence by the state counsel, Mrs Arinola Momoh-Ayokanbi, the student, now 19 years old, narrated how Onyiriuka, also a pastor, allegedly defiled her.

“I know him; his name is Pastor Timothy; he slept with me. He took me to his house three times, opened his trouser, opened his pants and put his penis in my vagina.

“He came to my mummy’s house, he sat on a chair, held a cane and told me not to tell anyone.
“He is our pastor and the owner of the school,” she said.

During cross-examination by defence counsel, Mr A. C Abarah, the student said that some of the acts of defilement took place in the school proprietor’s apartment, which was downstairs of a storey building.

She said Onyiriuka was caught in the act by her mother when he defiled her in her bedroom.

“When my mother entered my room, I was naked. When she saw Pastor Timothy, she was shaking,” the witness said.

She said her mother reported the defendant to the police and she was taken to a hospital for medical examination.

Following the cross-examination, the prosecution announced that it was closing its case against Onyiriuka.

Justice Abiola Soladoye adjourned the case until February 24 for defence.

Onyiriuka is a resident of NIdowu Bale St., Oke-Ira, Kekere, Ajah, Lagos, and the proprietor of a school located at Power Line, Oke-Ira, Kekere, Ajah, Lagos.

He is facing a charge of defilement contrary to Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State

The prosecution alleged that the school proprietor, who is remanded, defiled the student on October 21, 2013 when she was 13 years old.

Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011, prescribes life imprisonment for anyone found guilty of defilement of a child.

The guys above stated what it is but didn't let you in on the details. It's voodoo to be precise but most times. What they don't tell people is its implications. While those incisions would be acclaimed to serve as protection, mind you its at a cost. Which more than often opens portals to gain entrance into he lives of affected persons to exact " service fee" when they grow up. Consequences of these actions would cost dearly in future and will drag consequences to the kids life like :

1. Inability to succeed financially

2. Inability to have a marriage

3. Inability to excel in about anything

Incisions and markings does two principal things, it opens the affected person for inconsistencies to enter the person's life and create chaos as they grow up

It serves as a temporary protection but its longer term consequences will necessitate strong prayers to cancel. But that its an inconsequential act is a big lie. Many times people who engage in such go the extra mile by trying to attain more and more powers from multiple sources till they get things complicated and damaged

If your husband is reading this or he speaks about it of you ask him, tell him I said he's a fool on my. Account. By the way demons that are appeased during those ritual processes do not work for me and would collect a price. The star of the child. Either the financial star or the marital star. Christianity EtcHardline Hindus Protest Huge Jesus Statue In India's Karnataka by Dpaulie(op): 11:01pm On Jan 14, 2020
Hundreds of hardline Hindus affiliated to India's ruling party have rallied to protest against planned Jesus statue that will rival Rio de Janeiro's Christ The Redeemer for size.

The protests in the southern state of Karnataka's Ramanagara district on Monday were led by far-right Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), with its members clutching saffron flags as around 1,000 police stood by.

The RSS, which draws its inspiration from the German Nazis, is the parent organisation of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) - which also governs Karnataka - and other Hindu groups, together known as the Sangh Parivar (or RSS family).

"We want to stop [the statue], since it goes against the spirit of communal harmony and encourages religious conversions which is rampantly carried out by Christian missionaries," Prabhakar Bhat, a top RSS functionary, told Indian media.

Construction of the white granite statue 114 feet (34.7 metres) high - slightly shorter than the Rio monolith although the base will be bigger - stopped soon after it started last month after objections.

Many Hindus believe the hill where the statue is set to stand in the Christian-dominated village of Harobele is the abode of a Hindu deity, although no temple exists there.

The BJP-run state government accused the previous administration of the main opposition Congress party of illegally allotting the plot of land.

Wave of attacks
Fewer than 1 percent of Karnataka's 65 million people are Christian, compared with around 2 percent in Hindu-majority India as a whole.

The state witnessed a wave of attacks on Christians and churches by Hindu radicals in 2008 over allegations of seeking to convert Hindus, including with cash.

Last year, six members of a Hindu group were arrested for attacking a group of Christian pilgrims in the state.

The state government has been routinely accused of discrimination. It banned a festival to commemorate a Muslim king who fought the British East India Company.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's BJP has long been accused of intolerance towards other religions and of wanting to remould officially secular India as a Hindu nation, which it denies.

India has witnessed a surge in crimes against its religious minorities and shrinking of religious freedoms since Modi swept to power in 2014.

Last year, the US Commission for International Religious Freedom said that religious freedom was on a "downward trend", with a "campaign of violence, intimidation, and harassment against non-Hindu and lower-caste Hindu minorities".

The government rejected the report.

Over the past month, India has been rocked by protests against a new law making it easier for persecuted religious minorities to obtain citizenship, but not if they are Muslim.

Combined with a mooted national register of citizens, it has stoked fears that India's 200 million Muslims will be marginalise.

PoliticsSouth West Amotekun Is Illegal Security Outfit ―FG Declares by Dpaulie(op): 7:20pm On Jan 14, 2020
Barely a few days after the inauguration of a security outfit known as Operation Amotekun by South-West states, the Federal Government has declared the paramilitary outfit as illegal as it is not backed by any known law in the land.

The Attorney General of the Federation made the feeling of the government known in a statement made available to Vanguard on Tuesday.

In the statement signed by the Special Assistant on Media and Public Relations to the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Dr Umar Gwandu, the government said the issue of defence and security fell under the exclusive list and not with the state.

The statement reads in part: “The setting up of the paramilitary organization called “Amotekun” is illegal and runs contrary to the provisions of the Nigerian law.

“The Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended) has established the Army, Navy and Airforce, including the Police and other numerous paramilitary organisations for the purpose of the defence of Nigeria.

“As a consequence of this, no State Government, whether singly or in a group has the legal right and competence to establish any form of organization or agency for the defence of Nigeria or any of its constituent parts.

“This is sanctioned by the provision of Item 45 of the Second Schedule of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended) authorizing the Police and other Federal Government security services established by law to maintain law and order.

“The law will take its natural course in relation to excesses associated with organization, administration and participation in “Amotekun” or continuous association with it as an association.

“Finally, it is important to put on record that the Office of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice was not consulted on the matter.

“If it had, proper information and guidance would have been offered to ensure that Nigeria’s defence and corporate entity are preserved at all times.”

CrimeHerdsmen Deny Hoisting Flag To Take Over Land In Ekiti by Dpaulie(op): 5:45pm On Jan 12, 2020
The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria on Friday denied responsibility for the flag allegedly hoisted in the Orin Farm Settlement in Orin Ekiti in the Ido/Osi Council Area of Ekiti State in December last year.

The Head of Miyetti Allah in the area, Alhaji Adamu Abashe, also absolved members of the association of the destruction of the farms of the natives of the community.

He spoke in Ado Ekiti at a consultative meeting organised by the state government between the Orin Ekiti community and the herdsmen as part of efforts to find a lasting solution to the crisis between them, just as the community insisted that Miyetti Allah in the area were responsible.

The community had in December protested alleged destruction of their farms by the herdsmen and hoisting of a red flag in the farm which they alleged indicated danger and sign of plot to forcibly take over their land from them.

Abashe said, “We do not know how the flags got there. We were not responsible. Those perpetrating troubles in the area are herders from other states and not those that are resident in the area. Those perpetrating killings and destruction of farmlands in Orin are outsiders but with efforts coming from government, Orin community and Fulani people, all these issues will be resolved.

“We have lived in Orin Ekiti for over 30 years. We have been living together peacefully. When I was kidnapped, I did not say Orin Ekiti people were responsible, because we are brothers. It was after my kidnap that the kidnappers came to kill a Tiv woman in that farmstead.

“When they kidnapped my labourer, I paid N300,000 as ransom and I didn’t say Orin people were behind it. I am not happy with the killings and destruction in Orin. We are not planning evil for these people that we had lived peacefully with.

“Orin people are not my enemies, but the bandits rearing in the town caused this disagreement. But if you have anything against me, kindly forgive me. Let us live together as brothers,” he pleaded.

Mr Kayode Omotoso, who conveyed the community’s resolution, insisted that Fulani herders in the area were responsible for killings, hoisting of the flags and destruction of farms worth over N50 million in the town, hence should leave.

Omotoso said, “Two years ago, they hoisted one white flag with red linings and 15 days after, a pregnant Tiv woman was killed. Our kinsman, Mr Emmanuel Ilori, was killed last year and these scenarios may not allow us to allow Fulani herders to live with us.

“These people are giving us a lot of discomfort. We appeal to Ekiti State government to ask them to leave. We don’t want Fulani on our land anymore. We are peaceful people. We don’t want Orin Ekiti to be known for negative news.”

Ekiti State Commissioner for Information, Mr Muyiwa Olumilua and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters, Brigadier General Ebenezer Ogundana (retd), advised the feuding parties to tolerate each other in the interest of peace, saying, “The essence of this discussion is how we can live together peacefully”.

Olumilua, who said the submissions of both sides would be considered and addressed, added, “What is more important to the Governor Kayode Fayemi administration is peaceful coexistence. Peace is key to achieve this”.

Ogundana said that the state government would investigate those behind the killings, destruction of farms and hoisting of flag.

CrimeI’m Laborer, Not Fish Farm Investor, Man Who Used President’s Daughter’s Number by Dpaulie(op): 11:32am On Jan 12, 2020
I only used number once to solicit cash assistance — Suspect confesses
GSM number legally issued — service provider
Soni Daniel – Abuja
Details of the offense allegedly committed by the man, who reportedly deployed a phone number with the name of President’s daughter on it to undertake criminal activities have begun to emerge.

Sunday Vanguard investigation has also shown that the suspect, who has since been freed by the Department of State Services, is not a fish farm investor as claimed but a laborer who is paid a pittance on pay-as-you-work basis by the owner of the fish farm.

Documents exclusively sighted by Sunday Vanguard, showed that the suspect, Okolie Ifediukwude Anthony, a native of Umuezei Quarters of Asaba, Delta State, was working in a small fish farm owned by one John Freeman in Otuogwu and paid a daily wage by the owner before he was caught for using the phone for criminal pursuits.

The document also indicates that before he ventured into the fish farm business, Okolie Anthony was involved in betting game business, which he later gave up on the grounds that it was not profitable.

“I did sales of recharge with my sister now married for a while before my uncle opened a Betting shop for me to serve as an agent from 2016-2018.
I later sold the shop because the business was not moving and was not bringing profit,”Okolie confessed in the document seen by Sunday Vanguard.

“I am currently searching for job but managing a small fish pond with Mr. John Freeman in his compound located at Otuogwu, Asaba, Delta State and paid a small amount of money each day I visit the farm and also help out in doing some writing for the owner since his age does not allow him to hold bird and write,” Okolie said.

On how he came about the SIM that bears the name Hanan Buhari, Okolie said he bought the Subscribers Identification Module, SIM, from a roadside shop in Asaba having misplaced his previous number without knowing that the original owner had the name registered by the service provider.
Okolie confessed however that he was shocked to discover that each time he made calls with the number 09035666662, the true caller would indicate ‘Hanan Buhari’, a situation that made him to plan to report to MTN, the service provider, to ‘rectify the problem’ but he never reported until he was arrested.

Sunday Vanguard found out that Okolie actually ran into trouble with security agencies after he started posing as a woman and pretending as if he was the President’s daughter and original owner of the SIM all in a bid to curry favour from unsuspecting members of the public.

Okolie, records show, began to make brisk business once he discovered that the phone number he was holding was more of a ‘goldmine’ and consequently began to solicit financial assistance from key Nigerians who knew the first family’s daughter.

Findings show that one of the personalities Okolie called with the number and solicited for cash assistance, became uncomfortable with the voice, which he suspected was not that of a woman even though the true caller showed the owner to be that of Hanan.
Okolie confessed: “I was arrested on July 21, 2019 after I had used the phone to chat with an unknown number which I asked for financial assistance and the man promised to assist me but I never talked with him again because I did not know who the person was”.

A source close to the service provider, who issued the controversial SIM to Okolie, confirmed on Saturday night that the number was validly issued to Okolie after it was duly retrieved from the original user having been dormant for a long time in accordance with industry practice in order to keep its subscribers base healthy.

The source said the company was however not responsible for the intentions to which the subscriber deployed the SIM and should not be held accountable for such as its responsibility ends with the issuance.

It will be recalled that certain groups and individuals had recently claimed that Okolie was about to commit suicide having been forced to abandon his wife and fish farm business due to his arrest and detention for 10 weeks, during which he sad he was well treated by the DSS.

Contrary to claims tha he was about to lose his wife, the suspect submits in the document: “I am single, Christian and self-employed and currently searching for job”.

Foreign AffairsWe Are Inspired By Your Courage, Trump Tells Iranian Protesters by Dpaulie(op): 10:59am On Jan 12, 2020
US President Donald Trump said Saturday the United States was monitoring Iranian demonstrations closely, warning against any new “massacre” as protests broke out after Tehran admitted to shooting down a passenger plane.

Trump told Iranians in tweets in both English and Farsi that he stands by them and is monitoring the demonstrations.

“To the brave, long-suffering people of Iran: I’ve stood with you since the beginning of my Presidency, and my Administration will continue to stand with you,” he tweeted.

“There can not be another massacre of peaceful protesters, nor an internet shutdown. The world is watching,” he added, apparently referring to an Iranian crackdown on street protests that broke out in November.

“We are following your protests closely, and are inspired by your courage,” he said.

Iran had said earlier it unintentionally downed a Ukrainian jetliner outside Tehran, killing all 176 people aboard, in an abrupt about-turn after initially denying Western claims it was struck by a missile. The firing came shortly after Iran launched missiles at bases in Iraq housing American forces.

President Hassan Rouhani said a military probe into the tragedy had found “missiles fired due to human error” brought down the Boeing 737, calling it an “unforgivable mistake.”

The new demonstrations follow an Iranian crackdown on street protests that broke out in November. Amnesty International has said it left more than 300 people dead.

Internet access was reportedly cut off in multiple Iranian provinces ahead of memorials planned a month after the protests.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has demanded that Iran provide “full clarity” on the downing of the plane. Ottawa says the dead included 57 Canadians.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei also offered his condolences and ordered the armed forces to address “shortcomings” so that such a disaster does not happen again.
Tehran’s acknowledgement came after officials in Iran denied for days Western claims that the Ukraine International Airlines plane had been struck by a missile in a catastrophic error.

The Kiev-bound jet slammed into a field shortly after taking off from Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport on Wednesday.

The crash came hours after Tehran launched missiles at bases hosting American forces in Iraq in response to the killing of top Iranian general Qasem Soleimani in a US drone strike.

Fears grew of an all-out war between Iran and its arch-enemy the United States, but those concerns have subsided after Trump said Tehran appeared to be standing down after targeting the US bases.

Christianity EtcSalvator Mundi (leonardo) :the Most Expensive Painting In The World by Dpaulie(op): 8:12am On Jan 12, 2020
Salvator Mundi is a painting by Italian Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci dated to
c. 1500. Long thought to be a copy of a
lost original veiled with overpainting , it was rediscovered, restored, and included in a major Leonardo exhibition at the National Gallery , London, in 2011–12. Although several leading scholars have considered it to be an original work by Leonardo, this attribution has been disputed by other specialists, some of whom posit that he only contributed certain elements.
The painting depicts Jesus in Renaissance dress, making the sign of the cross with his right hand, while holding a transparent, non-refracting
crystal orb in his left, signaling his role as
Salvator Mundi (Latin for 'Savior of the World') and representing the ' celestial sphere ' of the heavens. Around 20 other variations of the work are known, by students and followers of Leonardo. Preparatory chalk and ink drawings of the drapery by Leonardo are held in the British
Royal Collection .
It is one of fewer than 20 known works by Leonardo , and was the only one to remain in a private collection. It was sold at auction for $450.3 million on 15 November 2017 by
Christie's in New York to Prince Badr bin Abdullah , setting a new record for most expensive painting ever sold at public auction. Prince Badr allegedly made the purchase on behalf of Abu Dhabi's Department of Culture and Tourism , but it has since been posited that he may have been a stand-in bidder for his close ally and Saudi Arabian crown prince Mohammed bin Salman. This follows late-2017 reports that the painting would be put on display at the Louvre Abu Dhabi and the unexplained cancellation of its scheduled September 2018 unveiling. The current location of the painting has been reported as unknown, but a June 2019 report stated that it was being stored on bin Salman's luxury yacht , pending completion of a cultural center in Al-`Ula and an October 2019 report indicated it may be in storage in Switzerland.

Protests in Tehran after Iran admits shooting down plane
Videos and comments on social media show angry Iranians calling on leadership to resign over plane crash incident.

A group of Iranian protesters has demanded Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei step down after Tehran said its military mistakenly shot down a Ukrainian plane, killing all 176 people on board.

"Commander-in-chief [Khamenei] resign, resign," videos posted on Twitter showed hundreds of people chanting in front of Tehran's Amir Kabir University on Saturday.

Others on Twitter asked why the plane was allowed to take off when tensions in Iran were so high.

The students chanted slogans denouncing "liars" and demanded the resignation and prosecution of those responsible for downing the plane and allegedly covering up the accidental action.

Fars said the protesting students chanted "destructive" and "radical" slogans.

The United Kingdom confirmed its ambassador Rob Macaire was arrested briefly during the demonstrations, accused of 'inciting' the protesters in front of the Amir Kabir University. Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said the arrest was a "flagrant violation of international law" and repeated calls for Iran to de-escalate tensions.

Earlier on Saturday, Iran said its military had shot down the Ukrainian plane, calling it a "disastrous mistake".
The military claimed air defences were fired in error during an alert which was imposed after Iranian missile struck US targets in Iraq.

Iran denied for days after Wednesday's crash that it brought down the plane, although a top Revolutionary Guards commander on Saturday said he had told authorities about the unintentional missile strike the day it happened

Speaking from Tehran, Al Jazeera's Dorsa Jabbari said: "There is a lot of anger. Iranians are demanding justice and accountability. Many people including families of the victims are in shock. They do not understand why their government would have lied to them for this long."

"Vigils that were held near Amir Kabir University quickly turned into anti-government protests with people calling for the IRGC to leave the country," she said.

Iran's leadership last faced mass protests in November following the rise in petrol prices.

Foreign governments have condemned Iran's action, with Ukraine demanding compensation and a United States official calling the downing "reckless".

The United Kingdom said Tehran's admission was an important first step.

Supreme leader Khamenei, until now silent about the crash, said information should be made public, while top officials and the military issued apologies.

What caused a Ukranian plane to crash in Tehran?
But state television suggested revealing the truth might be used by the "enemies of Iran", usually a reference to the US and Israel.

The crash heightened international pressure on Iran after months of friction with the US and tit-for-tat attacks.

A US drone strike killed a top Iranian military commander in Iraq on January 3, prompting Tehran to fire at US targets on Wednesday.

Experts said mounting international scrutiny would have made it all but impossible to hide signs of a missile strike in any investigation.

They said Iran may have felt a U-turn was better than battling rising criticism abroad and growing grief and anger at home, as many victims were Iranians with dual nationality.

Rare apology
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), in a rare step, apologised to the nation and accepted full responsibility for the plane crash.

Senior Guards commander Amir Ali Hajizadeh said he had informed Iran's authorities on Wednesday about the unintentional strike, a comment that raised questions about why officials had publicly denied it for so long.

Speaking on state television, he said he wished he "could die" when he heard the news about the incident.

Ukraine demanded an official apology and compensation. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called for "a complete and thorough investigation" with Iran's full cooperation.

Iranian Foreign Affairs Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif wrote on Twitter that "human error at time of crisis caused by US adventurism led to disaster", citing an initial armed forces investigation into the crash.

A military statement said the plane flew close to a sensitive Revolutionary Guards site at a time of high alert.

But Ukraine said the plane was in a normal flight corridor. Iran's Civil Aviation Organisation also said the airliner had not veered off its normal course.

Ukraine International Airlines said Iran should have closed the airport, adding that it received no indication it faced a threat and was cleared for take-off.

Analysts said an investigation would almost certainly have revealed signs on the smashed fuselage of a missile strike.

"There's nothing you can do to cover it up or hide it," said Anthony Brickhouse, an air safety expert at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and former US National Transportation Safety Board investigator. "Evidence is evidence."

The disaster echoed a 1988 incident, when a US warship shot down an Iranian airliner, killing 290 people. While Washington claimed it was an accident, Tehran said it was intentional.
