A big congrats to her.
Though ugly but smart, it is such a deserved win for her.
Because she is one who makes even successful men look like dwarfs.

I guess Forbes heard about her role in the tussle for the Obahai throne in Ogwashi-Uku before giving her this award.
Lol.... Was that why her husband cheated on her?
Politics / Re: UK Parliament: Gowon Stole Money 'Half Of The Central Bank Of Nigeria' by drealzum(m): 1:05pm On Nov 24, 2020

Yeah. My dad told me this story many years back, I would say very reluctantly. Was common knowledge amongst those of them working in the UK during the civil war. Many, many things happened that Nigerians are unaware about before, during and after the war about people some of whom are considered national heroes today.

Today I know more about the First and Second World wars, the Korean War and the Vietnam war than the Civil War in my country. We are a nation of deep historical deficit. We know very little about this country called Nigeria, her history and her people. Little wonder we keep stumbling. There is nothing to learn from.
So you believe Gowon stole half of CBN? A man that had no idea he will be kicked out of office? At what point did he elope with the money? I don't know why Nigerians quickly believe the opinion of a parliamentarian that hid behind the curtains of 'so it is said' to malign a good man. Who said? He heard it from discussions of drunks at some local pub in London or where ? What proof does he have ? I'm disappointed how we quickly accept the opinions of others on our selves. Have you met General Gowon before? That man has no concern with the vanities of this world. Just a quiet man who prays and spend his time worshipping his creator. The man does not like trouble. He lives a quite life. I wish you can meet him.

Yeah..... So sad! Although insecurity has always been a normal along Kaduna Abuja high way long before Buhari. I remember as a kid, when you did wrong, they say, "I will discipline you today so you don't grow tomorrow to be an armed robber along Kaduna Abuja road". So there has always been crime there. That road is very important for criminals because it is the only road that connects the nation capital to the north west. With Buhari, criminality has only escalated on the road. It will be wrong to say it started with him.

I don't understand, why should the curfew be placed only in Christian dominated neighbourhoods of KADUNA city?
Don't mind him. The warehouse was in barnawa. His reason will be all these areas are neigbouring towns to barnawa. But stadium area is closer to barnawa than some one coming to barnawa from maraban rido.
So it doesn't make sense. It seems targeted. The only Christian town he left was Gonin gora.
Any way sha, anything for peace. I'm no fan of looting. Stuffs like these snow ball to looting of private people's property.
Politics / Re: #endsars Protest In Kaduna Today. by drealzum(m): 3:31pm On Oct 18, 2020
Nowenuse:

Great analysis.

Anyway, let me correct you on somethings cos you are a brother who deserves to know the truth.

There is the natural & political division of Northern, Central & Southern Kaduna.
The explanation you just gave fits the natural description and not the political one.

Take for example, Lere, Kauru & Kajuru LGAs are exactly on the same latitude, touching side by side along their lengths, however, in terms of political classification, Lere LGA is in KADUNA north senatorial district, Kauru LGA which is directly next to it is in KADUNA south senatorial district while Kajuru LGA which is directly next to Kauru LGA is in KADUNA central senatorial district.
In reality, these 3 LGAs are geographically in KADUNA central and are Christian dominated, but they were all manipulated in order to give Hausa' fulanis the majority in KADUNA central senatorial district, so that they can produce 2 senators.
KADUNA central senatorial district is currently slightly Muslim majority or 50/50 because LGAs like Giwa & Birnin gwari which share boundary with Katsina and Zamfara states were dragged into KADUNA central while the original Christian dominated LGAs like Lere & Kauru which are centrally located were taken to the north & south.

Therefore KADUNA north senatorial district has Lere LGA which is originally dominated by Kurama, Amo, Gure/Kahugu and Piti Christians.

Kubau LGA is also in KADUNA north senatorial district, but there are dozens of Christian Kurama villages there. Infact, Pambeguwa town (the biggest town in that LGA) belongs to Kurama Christians, but sadly Hausa' fulanis have dominated it, however all the villages and smaller towns surrounding Pambeguwa in Kubau LGA are Christian dominated. These Kurama Christian settlements spread into Kano state and dominate half of Doguwa LGA in Kano state!

Also, there are hundreds of thousands of Indigenous Hausa' Christians in KADUNA north senatorial district. Infact, they are up to 20-25% there. But it's so unfortunate that most of us never knew about this until recently, even many Southern KADUNA Christians never knew.

Ikara LGA for example is Hausa' land, but half of the population there are Indigenous Christians!
In Giwa, Makarfi, Kudan, Kubau, Zaria, Sabongari, Igabi, Soba LGAs, there are dozens upon dozens of Christian indigenous villages. Both Christian Hausas & Christian tribes.
These Hausa' Indigenous Christians are between 3-4 million, concentrated in Northern KADUNA, Southern Kano & Southern Katsina. They have at least 50% of the population in like 15 LGAs in these places.
The problem is that these people have been mentally enslaved to accept themselves as perpetual 3rd class citizens in their own land. They are not even allowed to build churches in the LG headquarters, hence they are stuck in their rural villages.

So, in reality, KADUNA north senatorial district is not up to 80% Muslim, it's like 70-75 Muslim.
KADUNA central is like 50-50 or slightly Muslim majority. While KADUNA south is like 90% Christian.
There are Indigenous southern KADUNA Muslims but the number of Indigenous Hausa' Christians is far far higher than the number of Indigenous Southern KADUNA Muslims.
Most of the muslims in Southern KADUNA are Hausa' settlers and not Indigenes. It is only in Sanga LGA of Southern KADUNA where the current deputy governor comes from that most of the muslims there are Indigenes.
However, in Northern KADUNA, most of the christians there are Indigenes.

And just for the records, there are no minority Muslim tribes in Northern KADUNA. Only one small tribe called KITIMI found around Kauru/Saminaka northern parts are entirely Muslims.
The other Muslim dominated tribe AYU which is very small, is found deep into southern KADUNA (Sanga LGA).

Bakobenjamin198, gbagyiza
This brother, you are not even based in Kaduna yet you know so much about the state.
Nice !
But Muslims are slightly higher in Kaduna central.
As you said, is due to the political alignment.
My thesis is focused on Kaduna south, normally you will think Kaduna south has more Christians, but nope there are more Muslims there. The big christian dominated wards were put in Chikun local government.
There are 14 wards in Kaduna south. Christians are found in 3. 2 of those wards are not entirely Christian wards, that is barnawa and kakuri. The one that is made up of Christians entirely is Television. Now Tudun wada, angwan sanusi, badiko and what so not that are supposed to be in Kaduna north are in kaduna south local government.

You can see what I say constantly about Nigeria. The lack of unified values. Something brought us to this terrible point in our history and until we address the roots we will just be running around in circles. When I say ONLY RESTRUCTURING can change the fortunes of Nigeria, I know exactly what I say. When I said corruption was a structural issue, most Nigerians thought otherwise, saying it was a leadership issue or a class issue. Some even say it is a religious issue. So they treat the symtoms leaving the causatives to roam free, which is a lack of unified values..

Today the battle against corruption in this lofty administration is lost and the people have moved on to another structural problems, the criminal justice system takes its turn in the crosshairs. The new lightning rod is SARS, and as usual the poorly informed citizenry are certain that 'remove SARS' and 'reform police', (known to government as rename) and all other things shall be added unto Nigeria.

But we can see the real problem lashing back. Once again there is no consensus on how Nigeria should exist. Removing SARS and reforming government institutions is seen as a THREAT to some...fellow Nigerians.

These protesting are not even the ones to be concerned about. It is the silent ones who have stamped agendas on the nation for years and who are watching from the safety of their 'command centres' right now and who will act in the dead of night to ensure the status quo remains alive. Those are the folks we refer to when we speak restructuring.

On this matter they will let the dog out of the house for a walk, but they will keep it on a leash and ensure it doesn't begin too socialise with other dogs in the neighbourhood.

It is to these people we refer to when we speak restructuring. Restructuring is not an item, a product, a law or a destination. It is an idea, a philosophical view, a way of life, a journey of discovery. It doesn't have agendas and zero sum games. It is not about government, but is an attitude whereby people engage with people to share common visions, aspirations and to share common fears and concerns so that there is equity, peace, justice and solidarity amongst all nationals of Nigeria.

So that we can finally define what corruption is, or what a proper police service should be which in law and in practice is acceptable to all.

This is the restructuring I know. Without it Nigeria has no positive future. That I guarantee.

Hello Sir.
I think you are missing it.
I have lived all my life in the north.
God is my witness, I have never seen SARS. I only knew about SARS as result of social media.
Why is the SARS unit brutal in the south and cooperative in the north? I don't know the reason now.
But in Maiduguri, they said SARS have been helpful in fighting boko haram. They think it is insensitive for you guys to demand a dissolvement of a unit that is making attempt to ensure peace in their state.

I am from middle belt. People here align with the thoughts of people from the South. They want SARS disbanded even though they too have not witnessed brutalisation from SARS. There has been protest in Jos, Abuja and the southern part of Kaduna metropolis for this cause. But I have heard whispers during this protest, why fight for people in the south when they don't care about what happens to us. People are saying fulanis have killed us more than SARS have killed people down south, but there has been no protest in Lagos. Rather you hear statement like 'na dem dem' from southerners when these killings occur.

I agree there are people who are Pro SARS for religious and political and reasons but people in Borno are in love with SARS for different reason. They in fact will think of you guys as selfish and insensitive.

And you can see how poorly that strategy has worked over the years. You spend so much on one man in a team sport like football you have nothing left to invest on other team players and positions requiring upgrade.

That is why the Barcelona squad has not been replenished with the best talent in the world. They feel they can have Messi and ten muppets and still win trophies. It can work in Laliga, but in Europe they have seen for many years that football remains a team sport.

Check the maternal mortality statistics for pregnant women. In america, 20 dies in every 100,000 births. In Nigeria , 4000 dies in every 100,000 births. However there are many countries that see less death than America. Most American poor black women add most to the deaths in America
And that is because of their non access to health care.

American health care system is way better than ours. As you have rightly said, the maternal mortality ratio bears that fact.

Please this is not true. I thought Nairaland is against posting false stories. Nigeria is among the worst places in the world for a woman to give birth. We are number 4. Only better than South sudan, Chad and Sierra Leone. Nigeria has higher maternal maternity ratio as compared to USA.
Please do well to google all I have said. It is fact. You hardly hear of deaths during child birth in most developed countries, if you hear, it is most embolism issue.
