RomanceRe: Helpppppppppppppppp by drharry: 9:56pm On Aug 13, 2009
From experience, its a 50-50 chance, once you utter the words, your relationship will never be the same.
Think hard. Watch out for clues if she is interested in something more than friendship.
Ask in a roundabout way if she is seeing anyone, then decide, Goodluck. wink wink
HealthRe: Possible Pregnancy? by drharry: 9:23pm On Aug 13, 2009
Well, its possible you are not pregnant. A pregnancy test will allay your fears. Taking hormonal pills while pregnant could lead to an abortion .And please check out the condoms before using, it might not be a good one.

HealthRe: Pain And Itching At The Rim Of My Anus Help! by drharry: 6:23pm On Aug 02, 2009
well, from your symptoms, its possible you developed an "Anal Fissure" which is a painful, linear crack of anal mucosa and skin near the anus that may have resulted from straining at defecation .
Treatment is to have appropriate diet that gives soft stools, eg { Annusol or Ducolax suppositories}, and for the itching you can use corticosteroid creams and analgesics for the pain.
I will advice though that you see a Physician for proper evaluation.
HealthRe: Onchocerciasis by drharry: 12:10pm On Aug 01, 2009
From your symptoms, its likely its Onchocerciasis, though its best you see a specialist.
The best drug for the condition is Ivermectin although diethylcarbamazine is sometimes used. it shoulod be noted that Ivermectin does not kill the adult parasites, but reduce the numbers of microfilariae in skin so the disease does not progress.
i would want to alert you that the condition if not properly treated could lead to blindness so i would advice you see an Ophthalmologist and physician concerning the eye signs you are having.
don't be discouraged about the cost of treatment. you could visit the nearest Teaching hospital as there are specialists who can attend to you at minimal cost.

Christianity EtcRe: Nairaland Christian E-Fellowship by drharry: 11:33am On Jul 26, 2009
The ringing phone woke me up. It was my friend Patricia, whose premature baby had been in the hospital for two months with a life-threatening infection. Little Emeka had been doing well, so Patricia and her husband, Steve, were spending some much needed time at home.

Now Patricia was on the verge of panic: cry cry “The doctor called. Emeka!"s’s heart keeps stopping. Can we pray together?”

I took a deep breath. “Lord, take our hands as we pray for Emeka. We know your promise: Where two are gathered in your name, you are there.”

On the other end a gentle male voice joined in, his quiet, steady words mingling with mine. I had seen Steve at the hospital, his head bowed over the incubator while trying to will strength into his tiny daughter. As I prayed, I couldn’t hear Patricia, only Steve, speaking with me almost in sync. It was as if he knew what I was going to say before my mouth shaped the words.

When we finished—together, precisely—I said, “Patricia, grab Steve’s hand.”

“Steve’s not here,” she said quickly. “I’ll call you from the hospital.”

“Then who—?” I started to ask, but she had hung up. The next day, Patricia reported the infection had disappeared overnight. The baby was going to be okay.

“But who was on the line with us last night?” I asked Patricia, puzzled huh huh.

“Nobody. Steve was out on repair calls. You and I prayed alone.”

No, I thought. Where two are gathered in his name, … smiley smiley smiley

HealthRe: The Best Drug For Malaria? by drharry: 8:00pm On Jul 22, 2009
well, i addition to all the various replies, iit should be noted that the reasons why antimalarials seem not to work in some individuals are;
1. wrong diagnosis. Not every "feverish symptom" is caused by malaria as some people think and so taking any antimalaria will not make any difference.
2. drug abuse. self medication is dangerous as it encourages resistance.

it is advisable to always see a medical personnel for evaluation before taking any drug.

HealthRe: Pls, Sincere Answers Needed {very Urgent} by drharry: 8:22pm On Jul 12, 2009
Concening your question, i dont think you should be worried. a study done recently showed that women retain only about 65 percent of an ejaculate after sex, and they can reject it all if they want.

More interesting, the researchers found that if a woman has an orgasm (and that orgasm might indeed include uterine contractions) soon after her male partner, she literally sucks sperm into her reproductive tract. If she has no orgasm, or orgasms after the man, she retains much less sperm.
In other words, women actually have the ability to accept or reject sperm to some degree. undecided undecided
