Politics › Re: Lai Mohammed: A Masquerade Can Create Jobs For 1,000 Men by drnoel: 8:17am On May 04, 2016 |
lawydewy: Tourism is the highest revenue in Tunisia today.
Nigerians are known for criticisms. I believe 90% will criticise him.
But there is truth in what he said.
Creativity is the key.
some Nigerians are so wicked to the extent they don't want good for their country.
And they will not know peace in their life.....
you better repent!!!!!!
It mustn't be during the festival events along.Every weekends at Tourism centers, cultural events can be organize for tourists.
Some people is there family's tradition (masquerade) or heritage. Some family no matter how rich you are,you must do it atleast once. How you will think outside the box(When hungry sama/ fire you) Your brain=Box. Your open eyes are seeing outside box..... When you see your environment, you will create avenues for food. Only some few Masquerades that only come out ones in a year. Others do parade the street to catch fun and make money. Tourism centres on weekends, there will cultural displays and dance, traditional modelling (you can bring your wife in Ankara to cat/fish walk or elephant walk if she is fat). Normal Masquerades perform and recite poetries. Your children can give symposiums or poems,I will clap and drop something. That will get he/she note books for a term. Papa Emeka can sell soft drinks and sachets water, while you can sell cigarettes and hard drinks. Mallam Adamu will sell his Suya, he will not fight you people in the bush. Mama Kayode can sell rice and beans at one corner. Mama Abdullahi can sell Kunu and Zobo just close to the gate. All these people are doing something, instead of poke nosing, back biting&backfiring, gossiping and stealing. While me at the weekends, I will come catch fun, relax and flex away troubled system of hard work. Not the way he said it. Don't be like that. There are ways he could have said it that would pass the message. |
Career › Re: Masters Or Stay On Job? by drnoel: 5:41pm On May 03, 2016 |
Maser: My cousin who studied in the UK told me of many like you who had fantastic jobs in Oil companies but abandoned it to come pursue MSc in Scotland with the hope of returning back home to better offers, but couldn't even get any offers. A bird at hand is worth more than three in the bush. Stay with your good job cos many in Canada are dreaming of that your job and would relocate at any chance of it. My advice, apply for online MSc in British Universities and do with that. It's equally good. I agree completely. My cousin who lived in Glasgow recently relocated back to Nigeria after getting an oil company job cos the position became available after the person who originally had the job when for masters in the USA. |

bicmitchum: Thanks for the incredible advice. I'm 4+ years now. Not due for study leave until next year September Why the rush. Defer ur admission to next year when u are due for leave and then take ur study leave when it comes. If Nigerians in diaspora tell u what they face everyday these countries that you guys trip for won't be so appetizing anymore. Invariably keep ur job cos u need that security and go dor ur masters. U can decide later if u would leave the job as u see how u fare in canada. |

Politics › Re: “it Is An Insult To Label Fulanis As Criminals” -northern Governors by drnoel: 2:52pm On Apr 30, 2016 |
christopher123: I wonder how Fulani do this
I wonder how they enslaved the whole northern tribes especially Hausa people
Was with a Fulani friend he told me that they don't regard the Hausa people and Hausa never rules Nigeria and don't have any emir in north
I doubted it till I confirmed it here
I give it to Fulani ..they can brainwashing people
But if herdsman are not criminals what are they Maybe they are saints in waiting for beatification Answer to ur question is simple, cos they are the ones who are at the helm of affairs. Take a critical look at all their Emirs and leaders. U will see that they are mostly fulani. |

Car Talk › Re: Caterpillar Wedged on a Truck in Abuja with Stones! by drnoel: 7:07am On Apr 23, 2016*. Modified: 2:42pm On Apr 23, 2016 |
GAZZUZZ: the only thing unsafe are the stones themselves, they could fall off and cause accidents. The vehicle in there has the option of leaving it in gear (first or reverse) or parking brakes. If I remember well it is automatic so parking brakes. If that is so then pls explain to us laymen why in other countries they take extra precautions to transport such equipment but never in Nigeria. I have seen them use massive wedges to hold the tyres and not stones like in Nigeria. I have also seen them use very large belts to further hold the equipment in other countries but never in Nigeria. |
